Best time to go is between 9:30-11pm. Not cramped, nobody bumping into each other, some members are still respectful with the mask, vaccinated or not. Blink in Baldwin is my favorite gym to go because its bigger and and way more machines than others. I wish they would bring back the 24 hr time. Its Friday its a little crowded but everyones not on top of each other. I can use the bench press without having to wait on some of these yoyos who are constantly on their phones holding up the machines. I can move freely from one machine to the next.
**Edit 2: please consider bringing back extended hours, its been very hard for me to use your gym because of the shorter hours. I think we all understand why you shortened them during COVID, however its time to bring back the 24 hours.**Edit: they are now 24 hours a day a handful days of the week! The review that follows is now outdated I have edited my review to reflect 5 stars. the weekends are still a tad bit short on hours but with the extra days now 24 hours the gym is very accessible for just about everyone. **First if the hours work for you, this is an amazing gym, do not bother reading my one complain just know it can be very busy after 4:00PM and that the mornings are not to bad.Now my personal complaint that is unlikely to effect many people.I really wish they where open 24 hours a couple of days a week. Its a good gym with everything you need but the midnight closing kills it for me. I work from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM, add in commuting time and it leaves such a tinny window for someone like myself to work out. Find myself hitting up planet fitness, when I would much rather be going to this gym. Please consider adding a couple of more hours even if its not 24. Maybe a 4AM open or 1AM close and please add more for the weekend 7PM is way to early to close on the days most people can work out. You guys are a busy gym, trust me people would get use from it.
Been going to this gym for over 2 years now and I honestly have no complaints besides the fact that one of the main reasons why I signed up was because it was 24 hours (before covid) and I understand Covid messed everything up but why are members still paying the same price per month if it is STILL not back to being 24 hours. Some days they even close at 7 pm. Ridiculous and unfair to members.
I joined the gym March 1st 2021 I have less than a month with the gym and I decided to cancel so I called blink and they informed me I would have to pay $80 to cancel on top of that they would still charge me the annual fee which is about $50. Blink is a scam company that is just money hungry. I have less than a month and they still want to charge me all those fees when I was told the annual fee doesn’t get charged until May 2021 so why are they trying to charge it when I’m canceling. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and you best believe I will be telling people not to join blink. I would give them zero stars if I could .Update: I froze my account in September 2021 and I was told I could keep it frozen until I wanted to unfreeze it. I was sent an email Jan 1, 2022 that I had an outstanding balance. I called to notify them my account has been frozen since September and I was told an email went out that they no long freeze account which I didn’t receive and I was told if I wanted to cancel I have to pay a total of $91. There is a $60 buyout fee, $13.96 pro-rated fee, and the past due balance. Blink is a scam and all they care about is your money! They told me I would go into collection if I didn’t pay.
Just cancelled this gym after going here for 6 weeks. First of all, people come here to walk or run on the treadmill. You can walk around the neighborhood for free and get fresh air without paying 20 to 25 bucks a month and smelling other peoples sweat. Also, got an email from blink fitness saying that starting September 13th, all members have to show proof of vaccination. It is AGAINST THE LAW to show proof of vaccination. Do not show proof of vaccination to anyone. Plus they charge 75 dollars to cancel your membership. I didnt pay any cancellation fee. I just stopped going. Scam artists
Great place to workout. Staff is full of energy and ready to help with anything you may need. Covid procedures are consistent and does not take away from the workout environment. Pricing is reasonable. Plenty of equipment ready for use even with social distancing you will almost never wait on a machine or free weight. Offers a free first workout without putting any pressure on you to join which makes you feel much more comfortable joining. Would recommend.
Clean gym, staff is always nice and professional. Space inside is big. They are on point with disinfecting and follow all covid regulations. Machines are clean, large variety and the atmosphere overall is positive ,comfortable and non- judging. Im there at least 4 to 5 times a week
The best gym I ever joined. The Baldwin site is cleaned throughout the day and plenty of wipes for members use. My personal trainer, Donna, is excellent. She works with my schedule and health issues to provide a well balanced plan for fitness. Donna is on time, welcoming upon my arrival and most pleasant yet firm during the session. Im satisfied with the cost and would recommend this gym.
Very clean. Temperature is taken prior to entry into gym. They placed new hand sanitizer stations in different areas of the gym. Machines are spaced out for social distancing which means they label every other machine as being out of use. Everyone seems to be responsible with the rules of wearing a mask and wiping the machines after use. I have noticed that Monday evenings seem to be a bit more busy. As I was leaving on Monday around 6:15 pm , there was a line of about 10 people waiting to get in. If you want to use the workout area, bring a mat or towel with you to lay down. Blink removed all the mats.
My first time in a gym in almost 20 years. Everyone that works there are professional and very friendly; some of the equipment looked alien to me but the clientele are so nice I was able to ask for help without feeling like I was annoying them. This gym has everything I need and enough machines so there is no waiting. I thought I would feel uncomfortable but I was nicely surprised that I felt at ease and able to do what I need to. Not a clicky place which is awesome! Been to gyms where you have groups of people standing around criticizing other members. Not here! Perfect location and great parking. Have recommended to my friends and neighbors.
Great gym, clean. Good for a before work exercise . Better when they were open 24 hours Monday to Friday but Covid took that away.Well, I have to modify this review. Today there were not any wipes available to wipe the equipment. They had spray bottles, but no paper towels. People were just spraying the equipment and leaving it wet. Unless this is alcohol it is not going to disinfect. I was told they ran out of paper towel. In this pandemic that is unacceptable. Wiping the machines is way more important than suffocating everyone with a mask. Can we say we ran out of money when membership payment is due?
Why is it that other gyms in the location are open until 11pm? Even blink in Lindenhurst is open until 10pm. The Baldwin location has so many members that there are lines every day. I’m going to have to contact corporate about the hours. Im paying my membership just to wait outside in the line for 30-45 minutes.
Oh man, this place. Obviously blink already having some bad press and legal trouble re: their unreasonable cancellation policies but even their in person customer service is cringe. This place used to be 24hr, cut their hours and still charge the same rate. Decently clean, decent locker room, always crowded.
Overall I’ve been very satisfied with the gym experience for the cost. Very reasonable pricing and plenty of equipment. The only issue you could ever have at this location is that often times many of the female staff appear to be quite lazy & more concerned with their phones & conversations then working. Some examples in case management reads this:Sometimes there will be empty wipe dispensers while there are employees at the front clearly not busy ( as mentioned above with a cell or personal conversations ). Whether it’s within their job description or not this seems like the easiest task to complete & should be a routine timed rotation to check on.Once while I was entering, one of the younger dark skinned female employees seem to ignore me as I was waiting to be checked in & make a purchase. Another employee arrived & checked me in and rang my purchase. The female employee that first ignored me then saw another person behind me enter & checked them in. Not really a huge deal but being a District Manager for a retailer I’m usually keenly aware of what’s going on. Force of habit after 10 years. It was quite clear she saw me walk up & then chose to turn her back & pretend to be busy or not notice. Not sure what that was about because I’ve never had any interaction with any employee there other than to check in. But it def left a bad impression of staffing and Oversight of whoever is managing at that time. Hopefully not this young lady.Again, overall it’s a good gym and usually well kept.
Been coming here for the last 3 months and I must say the staff is very friendly and helpful always greeted with a smile and great energy. The locker rooms are always clean and often cleaned its a great place. Even when Its busy it doesnt feel that way definitely my favorite place to workout.
I am truly not a gym person. I walk outside each day about 4 miles, we have done this for 40 years and love it. Now that I am older, along with the weather this year, our ability to get outside was very limited. Blink opened, we watch for a while and finally when outdoor exercise became impossible we decided to give Blink a try. We took a tour, they offered one free session, we were sold. The price is very affordable, the gym is spotless, they have someone always around to be sure the restrooms are clean. We originally said we would join until spring but now we have decided to go in the summer as well, to stay out of the sun and get a workout where it is comfortable. My review is an A+. The gals and guys at the welcome desk, do just that make you feel at home, big hello and enjoy. I have not one unhappy thing to say about our 5 weeks there. I look forward to going. Thank you Blink for choosing Baldwin! I have now been going to Blink for over a year. l like ti more and more, I go every day that I can and that is most days. I enjoy it more each day and find Blink continues to keep their promise of cleanliness, and availability not to mention friendliness.
Ive been a member at this gym for some time now and its usually in descent shape. It really matters what time and the day of the week you show up. The price for membership is about $20 depending on the package you decide to pick. They also offer personal training which can get a bit expensive, but if you want it, its available. Overall, this gym meets most of my expectations for cleanliness, but depends on time and the day of the week.
Very solid gym, it’s hard to beat for the price point. Blink gyms are usually ok but underwhelming. Baldwin is particularly good because unlike many other Blinks, this one is actually has bumper plates, has 4 squat racks, and is open 24hrs 5 days a week. If you want to spend more you can find a better gym pretty easily but this is great value for the money.
I became a member March 2017 and I decided to cancel my membership since I didn’t have time to go anymore. I knew I had to keep paying until I made a year so that’s what I did. I called a month before I made the year to ask about the cancellation policy and I was told that my membership would automatically expire and if I wanted to renew it then I can. So I left it as that. It is now May and they are still charging my card!!! I spoke with the manager, Christian, and told him about my issue and he swears that his staff is properly trained about their policies. Obviously they’re not because I wouldn’t be in this situation right now!! He made it seem like it was a miscommunication but I know exactly what the girl told me. So unprofessional. I had to pay a fee to “officially” cancel my appointment and now he tells me that I have to pay the annual fee?! I told him that my account should’ve been cancelled since March and that it is not my fault I was given the wrong information. It sounded like he could careless about my situation. Then I asked for the corporate number and they were not able to give me that. They said I had to email them. I emailed them 2x and they have not gotten back to me. If you are planning to join this gym and want to cancel your membership you should be on top of that and make sure it is cancelled before you end up paying more than you should.
I did not take heed to those who spoke about the cancel membership issues they had. But I lived and learn. These people charge my card 45 days after I cancelled and when I inquired about it the manager proceed to tell me the initial amount I paid to cancel was not enough. I cancelled in person, signed a form and got a copy. But 45 days after, they figured they didn’t charge me enough. They did NOT notify me by email or by telephone, they just charge my card with no explanation before doing so. I spent $75 to cancel my membership after just having a 1 month membership. I cancelled because I find the gyms to be small and mostly crowed when I am able to go. I would not recommend this gym as there are far better gyms to go to that don’t have the headache of a company trying to rob you.
I wish I could give less stars. I left this gym because it wasnt 24 hrs while I was up to date on my monthly payments. I happen to lose my debit card and had to get a new one. A few months later (today) a debt collector called me saying I owe blink $80. Im like WHAT? I havnt used that gym in months. The collector is then like well you are a member until you cancel your membership. I thought that not attending a gym and no longer paying monthly was enough of a sign that I no longer gym there. But either way they consistently charged for 4 months? $80? Im highly disappointed. The collector caught an attitude because I was so surprised and said Ill write you down as a delinquent what the hell is wrong with these people. Please cancel your membership if you are planning to leave, it is all a game. Ill never gym at a blink fitness as long as I live. Pure bull blink fitness, pure bull!
You will be treated like a number, you will be treated with an ineptly contempt of what value you truly offer to this company. To say this organization offers poor communication is an understatement to say that they provide miscommunication is misrepresentation of the facts. Please note that I was so disgruntled, angry while being totally mystified by the lack of care and poor customer service I received that I was willing to pay I passed you for classes I will never take and a termination fee just to avoid the humiliation of listen to one more spin story from the employees. I may be ridiculed but I actually made several attempts to clarify the misinformation that was provided and pay for training sessions I was clearly never going to be able to pursue, I was told on 3 sperate occasions I would receive a call back from the manager but never got 1 and was misinformed time and time again all while trying to pay them. Trust me when I say this isnt the type of guy that values your membership or takes ownership of member complaints. Its is a sorry excuse for a community gym.
Clean, available almost new machines. No classes but a lot of free weights for use. Price is really good to join. Its close to my house so very convenient. Lacks NYSC ammedities but would recommend this gym for daily non frills work out. Decent guest and helpful staff.
I would be careful when you sign up for this gym. I was sign up for the 15 Dollar plan because I was told by an employee that if I took that package I would not be charged any to cancel the membership. The only reason I took it was because I did not want a contract. I went in to speak to manger and was told I had to pay a fee to cancel the membership but was never told that I had to write a letter to there head quarters stating that I did not want the membership. Then I was sent collection letters for 3 months. I think it was wrong that I had to pay that because there employees are miss inform clients. employees need to be better trained!
The people that used to work at the front desk before were a lot more friendly and nice.Matter of a fact one of the guys that used to work the front desk that quit comes into my job and I complain to him all the time. I guess blink does not value their employees either because they lost a good quality one.The new front desk employees are very unprofessional,and rude.They do not smile nor greet me.When they do greet me its with an attitude and I guess they dont realize Ive been coming here every week since this gym opened.If they are in a conversation with their coworkers or on their phone i dont even get aknowledged sadly.One time my boyfriend handed the lady at the desk our scan card connected to our keys and the lady started yelling that she doesnt need our keys just the card.He told her the card is connected to the keys.Later on during that same workout the person that was using the leg press before us loaded it up with weights and did not remove them.we used the leg press and the entire time she kept staring at us.after we got off the leg press and went to another machine she came up to us demanding that we remove the weights we did not put there.This was not the only time this has occurred.Why are these people working here if they are trying to force their customers to clean up after other customers.They are very unprofessional because they stand behind the counter and dance but yet are nasty to customers.They are ghetto and rude and this is why I do not come to this gym anymore.
Clean, well equipped, and you cant beat the price. Plenty of cardio equipment and it always works. I like the layout too: things are open, so if I go to the free weight area where the serious lifters work out and grab a pair of little 5- or 10-pound dumbbells, I dont feel like Ive intruded into their muscleman sanctuary.
How can you focus on your work out when there’s no A.C. and the gym is stifling . After thirty mins I had to step out for a while or I’d pass out. This never happens at any other gym where there’s A.C. It was disruptive and uncomfortable . I usually go as a guess with my dad and was considering becoming a member since it’s closer to my house . After this experience I’m keeping PF.
It is okay gym nothing special. Probably one of the worst ones on the Island. It seems like the equipment that came when the gym opened up is still there. No upgrades. The floor by the free weights is uneven. Told management months ago but still no progress. I guess they will fix it when someone trips and falls and gets hurt.
Blink Baldwin is a decent facility considering the money you spend on monthly membership fees and is convenient. It is usually clean and has enough machines available even when times are busy. The only issue I have with this place is more than often it smells deplorable, like MICHAEL JACKSONS line in thriller “FUNK OF 40,000 years” stinking! I would suggest to management better ventilation and some air fresheners to help mask the stench in there. NOTE to members: PLEASE!!! take care of your personal hygiene and have respect for yourselves/others. I know it’s a gym but have some decency. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Peace
They offer Clean and new equipment for a very affordable price.Super easy going people, perfect place if you are only looking to do some Cardio and lift some weights.You will mainly see average people instead of thousands of Meat heads.I have enjoyed my time with BLINK Baldwin So far.Lilian does an excellent job keeping the gacility clean. Kudos to her!
This business is deceiving. They charge all sorts of fees when you cancel. Fees they never disclose during sign up. My son, a college student only had the membership for 2 months and was charged $70 for canceling his account before he went back to school. The manager refused to help resolve the issue and agreed that the staff don’t always let people know about the fees and he’s trying to change this... but what about people who were not told the right info, you just rip them off? This is a shame.
Dont go here. Signed a contract in the summer and had to cancel because i was going back to school, i paid the cancellation fee and signed the cancellation contract. Cancellation date was effective on the 12th of december, however i was charged for my month in Janurary. Thankfully, i kept my copy of the contract and called blink expecting an obvious immediate refund. Instead, i was told i needed to come in and provide proof i cancelled my contract, even though back when i had signed the contract, blink had made a photocopy of it. When i presented the contract to “prove” i had indeed cancelled it, they seemingly rectified it in their system, however were very ambigious as to when i would get a refund. I wait a day or two and see nothing on my bank statement so i give them a call. I was told a manager was not in but that theyd make a note for him/her to call me the following day. Never called. I wait another day and call them this morning. When the receptionist answered, i asked to speak to the manager. She was very reluctant to bring him over, most likely by the managers request, and decided to tell me that my refund is being processed. Blink has made no effort to rectify a mistake made on their behalf, and that entire responsibility has fallen to me to ensure that i have received a refund. I realize that part of the responsibility falls on me, and rightfully so, however, you would think and established gym chain would care enough once being notified of a mistake made on their behalf to do everything to rectify the situation and to not leave the customer hanging.Tl;drGym still charged me even after cancellation contract went into effectThankfully saved the cancellation contract to prove to the gym that i did indeed cancel (even though they had a photocopy)Made no effort to rectify the situationManager avoided speaking on the phoneStill waiting for a refund
Just opened up a year now and business is booming in this gym sources have told us what really goes on from behind the scenes and gym members. Our sources have stated that the club manager does nothing at all to help members and passes all her work to the assistant manager to do all of it and just stays in her office all day front desk is very lazy at this gym memebers complain all the time cause of there terrible customer service and secret cancelation fee pre buy out pro rate fee and too many trainers are in the gym its already annoying knowing your gonna be asked 5 times by the new guy for start up sessions all the time overall this gym gets a 1 out of 4 stars in all li gymsIf you have reviews on gyms in li near you go ahead and contact us or ask us about li gyms exposed!!!!!
Finally: more than one free Olympic Weight Bench. They have 4 in total.More than 2 Chest press machines.I can’t understand why the other Blink’s only have one.This location has plenty of equipment.I do wish all BLINKS would stop selling water bottles and offer water bottle filling stations like Public Schools do to cut down on waste.
Terrible! My husband switched debit card but never had the time to go straighten that out so when he finally went they had canceled the membership and to reopen he was charged the yearly fee and to open the membership they said he was going to be charge again yearly fee, the Asian guy at the front desk was not about to try to work anything out so if I can give this gym a -star I would

2022-03-03I moved to a different state, 50 miles from the nearest blink, apparently I had to ask blink permission before moving, so deeply sorry I didnt ask before making my own personal life choices!! they sent me to collections, with a total of about $150, just to get a little money out of me, in which youre not!! Hope yall enjoy your day working for minimum wage at a gym! money hungry rats!! by far the worst gym experience I ever had for the few months I went! I deeply and wholeheartedly do not recommend this gym to anyone who wants to keep their money in their pocket while trying to better themselves at the gym!

2022-06-16Best workouts I have done in years. I love the mix of workouts. I have been lifting and running for years but have never felt as good as I do now after a couple weeks of cross fit workouts. Fully recommended!

2022-06-03Water fountain has not been fixed for the past 2 weeks !! Terrible, especially in these hot uncomfortable summer temperatures. Feeling very dehydrated with no access to water to a gym you pay membership! Disappointed.

2022-05-11Update 5/11/22 Still great and well maintained gym. Watch out for the GenZ & Millenials hogging equipment while they pose for SocialMedia. Cmon folks, put the phones away and dont be an equipment hoggg!!!Good gym & great value. It has what I am looking for, weights & cardio machines. I dont need classes and this gym does not offer those. They do have personal fitness trainers if you need that. Broken and worn equipment are quickly fixed. They have a lot of cleaning wipes for you to clean down the equipment before & after use. Like most gyms, avoid peak morning, midday and evening hours and you wont have to wait for equipment. They do have equipment hogs that will spend 15 Mins on one equipment. I despise those people. Of course you have the noise makers and grunters who are most likely suffering from a spike in Roid-Rage and trying to flex to the impressionable and enhanced teen gurls & 20 Somethings present. Then of course we have the posers and those looking for someone to buy them their next meal, a luxury vacation to The Maldives or Barbados. A trip to the gym is a microcosm of an episode of National Geographic, Hunger/Squid Games, Desperate Housewives, Nightmare Kitchen and Love Island. The place and bathroom are meticulously kept clean at all times. Definitely a recommended!
