2022-05-24Wonderful donation center with friendly and competent phlebotomists. I donate platelets and have never had a bad experience. The beds are nicely spaced, allowing room for each donor and machine. The donation experience from start to finish is always smooth and hassle free - its never a long wait after checking in to get into the evaluation room to check your health stats and ensure you are eligible to donate. Each bed has a TV, so you can watch Netflix while you are generously donating your platelets or power reds. Every phlebotomist working here is very skilled and makes the needle insertion process painless and quick - something to note if youve been wanting to donate but are nervous about the needles. They are also so friendly and accommodating-they make sure your are comfortable throughout the duration of your donation - which for me is usually around 2 hours if I give a double unit, or 80 minutes for a single. I do recommend bringing your own blanket because you can get chilly when your blood and fluids are returned to you. Also, I recommend taking tums right before you start your platelet donation-just ask your phlebotomist for some (helps prevent any citrate reaction during your donation). After your donation is complete you can choose a snack from a wonderful selection of yummy things, plus there is water or juice to rehydrate yourself. Overall, if youre going to donate blood I highly recommend this center. If youve never donated please consider doing so! Only 3% of eligible people donate and the need for blood is constant - particularly for platelets as they can only be kept for 5 days... And they are vital for patients fighting cancer.

2021-07-28Ive been donating platelets there every two weeks for twenty years and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly, professional and well-trained. Regular blood donations and power red donations are also accepted at this site. It is best to schedule your appointments online at redcrossblood.org

2016-08-30Ive never written a review for a blood donation center but Ive given blood twice here and it is the most smooth place Ive been. I would recommend it for first-timers because the staff was professional. Went here with a friend once and he described it as the first time he gave blood without fainting, which I guess is good.

2018-12-05After donating here I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff are nice and very professional and it is a more private setting than the mobile donations. They are also more experienced staff than the mobile donations. Highly recommend donating here!

2017-01-13The best place to go for your first donation. This location has the A-team of donation technicians - theres little to no pain and they walk you through the whole process. This is the only location that I go to for platelet and whole blood donations.

2016-07-03Your friendly neighbourhood blood suckers. Excellent staff, always friendly and they take great care of you while they drain a few litres of blood and then put it back.
