Blue Nile in other cities:
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was a long process:I was looking to make a Special Order from Blue Nile. The order would be a Specific designer setting with a 2+ ct. stone. Total almost 3 ct. Not a cheap purchase and I figured their online corporate department can handle it. However, there was a lot of miscommunication. Different reps get involved and give different stories with different information, so it’s difficult to get straight definitive answers about stones, quality and custom setting availability. After being stressed out for almost one month I figured enough is enough and I was going to give up and go elsewhere.Thankfully, manager Joyce from the Roosevelt Field Mall in New York got involved! She literally saved the day. Joyce got corporate to give definitive dates, helped me choose a gorgeous stone, made sure that the special order would go as planned, that the stone would fit the custom setting, and when corporate increased the price on the diamond OVERNIGHT, Joyce made sure they honored the original pricing.I would not have made this purchase if it wasn’t for Joyce! Thank you Joyce! So, if your order is getting complicated and you are looking for definitive answers and someone who can get the complete job done, get a manager from a showroom involved. The ring is gorgeous, now to figure out the next step…
I knew going into the store that they had limited selections but I didnt know they also lacked customer service. We were wearing masks but you can still tell when a person is smiling and they definitely didnt smile. Their tone was very robotic. My fiancé bought my engagement ring from their website so we were hoping to find a matching wedding band. Unfortunately, we walked out of there empty handed.Staff were like machines. If you dont greet them, they will just stare at you. You have to ask for info about the rings youre trying on or they wont say a word. They didnt make suggestions unless asked. They looked like they hated their job. If I was their boss, I would be worried about sales.
The showroom is tiny, the selection they keep on hand is very limited. I waited for over an hour to go in and when I did, I felt the woman assisting us was a bit short and rushing us from the beginning. While I already chose a few off the website aheadOf time, she looked at the list and was like, only 2 are in the store, and than, I could even look at the display cases to see other rings. I drove almost 2 hours to look at what options I had and instead it was just a waste of time. For a place that only has a handful of show rooms in the country, you would think they keep a selection on hand being that many people will travel quite a distance for such a large purchase to see it first hand. But I wouldn’t even know the selection they had ... we walked out in under 10 minutes. The 1 star instead goes out to the woman from the company who helped me via email.
Helpful sales and takes time to get what I wanted, even got $100 off for returning customer. I could tell she was experienced and knowledgeable. Came to look at some engagement rings a couple months ago and got ring sized. Social distancing protocols are followed well. We returned a couple days ago to look at wedding rings. Going back to pick-up our wedding rings tomorrow. Bluenile online and the showroom made the experience very smooth and fun.
Great store I went into the store with zero knowledge of diamonds or engagement rings and the staff took the time to sit down with me and go through every aspect of what I was looking for to make sure I was completely comfortable with my purchase my soon to be wife loves her ring the staff is amazing thanks for the help I am extremely happy with my purchase
I went 3/20/21 with my fiancé to look at wedding bands for myself. We waited in line for a while & a short middle eastern man (idr his name) got us and we told him our reason for coming in. There was already 3 customers inside and he did not let my fiancé in due to “high capacity”. Mind you prior to me coming in there was a couple also there, making it 5 in total inside. (FYI, right after I left he took in 2 women inside with 2 baby carriages with the same 3 customers still inside). I went in alone and he did not let me try on any rings at all, when that was my sole purpose in going in. He showed me the ring from a far and on the computer only. I left out of there so disappointed for him just to show me rings from the tablet when I have already done that on the site & had told him the specific option rings I already wanted. I just wanted to make a decision by trying them on. We were going to do the purchase right then and there. Next day we called to verify the guidelines because we were so confused on how things went down and was informed that they are indeed letting customers try on rings & were unsure why we were given false information...we were completely discriminated by our race, not taken seriously and judged by our appearance (I was in sweats, pull over sweater, sneakers and fiancé had a durag on). Completely wasted our time. It’s the only day my fiancé and I have the day off together & we wanted to get things done. The next day when we called to verify, I scheduled an appointment and went without my fiancé and called him out (the worker). He completely lied about the whole thing, stated I did try on rings and that he never told me that I could not try them out and then just walked away and ignored the whole situation as if it was nothing. If it was a lie, why did I have to come back a second time back to back to try on rings? So unprofessional & such disgusting behavior. No one should be treated that way. I’m wasting my money on your business, treat me with respect.
First off, the showroom is beautiful. Very elegant displays and the staff was very warm and welcoming.I was in the market for an engagement ring and wanted the diamond from Blue Nile but I was worried about buying the diamond online. I came to the showroom for some guidance as I assumed they would be able to give me the inside scoop on the inventory. I spoke with Joyce. Let me tell you, the level of customer service could not be beat. Joyce was so helpful and attentive. I told her what I was looking for and she patiently stayed in contact with me for WEEKS (Im indecisive) via email and phone, when I couldnt make it to the showroom, (I live over an hour away from the showroom) to help me select a diamond that met my perameters. She was able to give me information about the diamond that couldnt be found on the website and turned what I had expected to be a stressful selection process into such a pleasant experience. The diamond was stunning and the ring was beautiful and my new fiancée could not be happier! I am very satisfied with the purchase and with Blue Nile as a whole.TLDR;The customer service was the best I have ever experienced in my life.If you get the opportunity, speak with Joyce. She is a treasure to work with.
In general I really like Blue for their selection and price. The staff was very helpful and quite accommodating. Starting from buying a ring online, the price changed on me. Blue Nile honored the price ( policy once price change was within 3 dys) and was able to have the ring resized and delivered to one of their brick and mortar outlets at no additional cost. Definitely a fan of them now. Check them out.
Joyce was very informative and caring about finding me the best quality and price for my purchase. it was a very educational experience and I would refer her to anyone looking for any type of jewelry.the store had a wide selection and they could basically create any piece of jewelry.
Went to the Roosevelt Field mall location with my girlfriend, now fiance. Joyce Genova made the entire process feel magical and so natural-- we bought an engagement ring the same day we walked into the store. We feel blessed to have Joyce guide us through the entire diamond buying process, the 4 Cs and teaching us about the perfect Holloway score diamond. She is exceptionally knowledgable about every step of diamond quality, cut, procurement and ring taste. She played a major role in making us become engaged. We even got our wedding bands from her-- and she was exceptionally helpful and made the whole process feel seamless too. I could give a million stars for this review to Joyce and the Roosevelt Field Blue Nile store if I could!!

2022-09-05Bought our rings elsewhere because the white associate was behaving as though we couldnt afford the rings... didnt like her comments AT ALL!!!! Businesses have to be cognizant of who they are hiring AND make diversity a part of training.

2021-11-29My fiancé and I drove over 2 hours to get to the store. I was so excited to be there and see a few of the wedding bands I had been looking at online. I was told twice that they did not have a ring that they showed in stock online, but then they found it later, which happened to be the only ring out of 5 that was on sale. The customer service was absolutely terrible. The woman we worked with, Jeanne, had no personality and acted like we were bothering/inconveniencing her even though we had an appointment. She did not ask us any details about the wedding, even the date, which has never happened at any other jewelry store. We could not look at any other rings in the cases either. When we asked about the sizing and warranties, we were treated like we were going to damage the ring on purpose based on her responses that we shouldnt need a warranty like other stores offer. Despite all of this, we did buy a band which felt like buying something from a robot. We walked around the mall for a bit and discussed the warranty or lack thereof. We ultimately decided this was not best for us, so we went back to the store to cancel the order. When we went back, we were greeted by 3 sales people. We said we wanted to cancel the order, not a single one of them asked why or if there was anything they could do which is just strange and not good customer service. They cancelled the order and Im just hoping that I actually get the refund so I dont have to deal with them again. Their rings are beautiful, but the poor customer service really detracts from that. Combined with the lack of warranties, we will never go back to this store.

2022-03-21Some online retailers such as Brilliant Earth and Ken & Dana designs created chic showrooms in the heart of Manhattan. Perplexingly, Blue Nile created a chintzy mall kiosk out on Long Island. The fiancée and I made an appointment to go see some wedding bands we had been looking at online. In every case they did not have the specific item we wanted to see. Rather they would have something kind of similar and insisted we could order the specific one we wanted online. The whole point of driving out to some random Long Island mall was to look at the EXACT item we wanted before spending thousands of dollars. It makes me wonder what Blue Nile is thinking. Surely, they do not expect customers to visit this chintzy, cramped pop-up wedged behind a Jamba Juice and be filled with confidence in the company. Why did they even bother?

2022-07-07I cant even start to say how pleasant and understanding the lady that helped us was. The phone customer was good, but going in store was even better!

2021-08-26Very poor customer service. Walked into the store and felt completely unwelcome. The lady behind the counter was very stand offish and minimal with me. I was referred here by a co worker and thought it would be nice to check it out! When I saw the place I was super excited. My boyfriend and I been together for 5 years, so I wanted to select the type of ring I wanted and then tell him to stop by this place. A HARD NO. Will not be visiting again. I just hope the staff who work here learn a little bit more customer service skills. Bad for business....

2021-08-04I had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend Blue Nile to anyone looking for an engagement ring. I worked with Lisa, who I met at the Roosevelt Field showroom, and she was by far the most helpful & accommodating sales rep I could have asked for. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and extremely patient as we searched through a bunch of potential diamonds before purchasing the one that met all of my criteria. The ring came out stunning & I largely have Lisa to thank for it. Once again, had a great experience and would strongly recommend.
