Went here with my wife on a Saturday afternoon after seeing their beers offered at a handful of bars in Long Island. We had no idea that this place was so big. Even with a large crowd, it was fairly easy to get drinks at one of the three bars both inside and outside. I could definitely see myself coming back with friends, and would love to hang out upstairs to hear some live music. Above all, the beer is really good. Weve had about 8 or 9 different beers both at the brewery and at various pubs and each one was great. I appreciate the many options and variety of styles at the brewery. This is definitely a spot worth traveling to.
Don’t bother coming to their satellite spot in the airport. Sat around for nearly 20 mins right at the bar being ignored by 4 different bar tenders. I left, and sat down at a table. 5 mins later I was approached by a bartender and I told her I was waiting around for a while and no one served me. She rolled her eyes and could care less.
Sincerely, the food is so so...from the portabello wrap to the black bean burger to the quesadilla its all a matter of how you prefer yours. Personally, of all the items mentioned the quesadilla is the only one I would try again. Very few vegan options. The location is spacious/roomy and everyone was courteous. Its a brewery, so the choices are more than enough for any taste bud. Plenty of gluten-free drink choices, though.
First time here at the terminus of an Suffolk Bike Riders Association Octoberfest Ride. I was late to join in on the trek, but not late for the food and drink. The atmosphere is peaceful despite the cavernous space. It is large enough for a university cafeteria yet muted. The decor is devoid of glare or any unpleasantries with darker colors giving a comfort to the eyes. Meanwhile, their beer samples slowed our pace which was a comfort in itself. Compared to riding at twenty miles per hour on a cloudy morning, the environs was a comfy as my sofa at home while I was at a long table conversing with friends. Okay, not THAT comfortable.I particularly preferred the pumpkin ale over the three other samples (see photos), yet all were unique and equally desirable. The food was not sampled since I had a pre-ride as well as post-ride breakfast. So, the post-ride brews sufficed admirably well.Brews by the glass, or the cider which was on tap, taps your wallet at about eight dollars or less per pint (on average). Considering what their competitors product costs at retail in stores, by comparison the price point is very high. I pondered the exorbitant prices for about twenty seconds. They make their own product and deliver it to you in house. There isnt a jobber, wholesaler, packaging, or transportation cost (which is usually forty percent in merchandising), but they charge full price to the walk-in customer. Hey, it is great for them! Therefore, the samples are free to the public, but it is absorbed by the retail sales. Translation: someone else is paying for the samples. You are. Anheuser Busch at Busch Gardens does not employ this marketing practice.Enough of the Marketing and Economics lecture. Park in the expansive parking lot, then go to the opposite side of their building to find the entrance. You should get a five star experience if what is in your wallet is a non-issue. So enjoy!
I waited an hour for my food to come to my table just for them to forget the cheese on my burger and have it cooked wrong and also forget the bacon on my sons burger which was also cooked wrong, the chicken wasn’t very good either and also took them an hour to make lemonade.Good beer though
Awesome brewery but logistical nightmare. I have visited twice a few days apart, once midweek and then on a Saturday. Completely different experience. My first visit was amazing, tried my free samples, ordered some pints and great food. Upon returning, totally different environment. There was a line out the door, about +20 deep. They were at capacity and this is PRE-summer. There are NO restrooms outside. There IS outside seating, but you have to go upstairs to order your beer to come downstairs to switch your cups to plastic then to go outside. What?? Doubles the labor AND trash. At this point I just wanted a growler fill (which allowed me to skip the line) but still had to wait at the insanely packed bar. The new build out has great ambience, but it is not set up for efficiency. I can only imagine this getting worse during the summer.TLDR- great beer and food, choose your times to go wisely!
Update: Brewery has since moved to a massive new brewpub up the block. While it no longer has the small neighborhood craft brewery vibe, it makes up for that with an extensive food menu, ample seating, and regular live music. Check it out!Definitely check out the tasting room on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and take the tour!
Horribly understaffed, its a decent establishment, but the service is severely lacking because the amount of people and the lack of servers available, the staff is so overwhelmed, I feel bad, but.. you stand for 30+ minutes waiting to be acknowledged, let alone getting a beer, which doesnt at all live up to the hype. Its just a shame that the bar staff cant even handle pouring beer, since that is literally the entire purpose of the place.. Ive seen bartenders mix cocktails for a large group more efficiently.
Cool place with a laid back vibe even though it can get crowded. They give tours of the brewery and the first three samples are free. Food truck during peak times and even outdoor live music. Check out this location soon because they are moving soon. These guys were bought by InBev which has downsides but also upsides like enough cash to move to a really nice location not to far away from this original place. Cheers!
Sample Beers are the best way to try out their extensive selection, most beers available only in Patchogue. Sample cups are around 6 oz for $1-$3 depending on ABV. You get 3 for free per guest. Otherwise, pints are $4-$7. And worth it!I wanted to dismiss Blue Point, owned by A-B InBev, but dang do I have to admit they kept the original microbrew spirit alive here. Still feels like a sleepy local brewery, with live music almost daily and outdoor seating thats really the industrial park parking lot (which is all too familiar to beer enthusiasts.
The food and beers were great (as always) but the outdoor area was awesome. They are dog friendly, making it the perfect spot to hang out on a weekend. There is a little designated dog area in the back corner and a bowl with a hose connected. As a heads up, other reviews mentioned that dogs were allowed inside, this is no longer true since they have the outdoor space (except for service animals, of course) - not a big deal but helpful to know for rainy or extremely hot days!
We always knew that they had great beer. But the food is out of this world. Food here was always decent but I came in recently and they have a new head chef and some of the dishes blew me away. Duck tacos, chicken, sushi, rainbow cookies. Outrageous. Its nice to be able to go somewhere with awesome beer and not have to punt on the meal with some overpriced pub grub.
I was here 3 weeks ago and would have given it a 5 star. Im here today and I have to give it 3 I averaged to 4. The food was good but you lost the interaction with the waitstaff that allows for sampling of a beer and making some adjustments to the menu. The food menu has also changed. The great cheesesteak is gone. A chicken and biscuits is there but for the price with no sides other than the chicken and biscuits is a bit much. I understand they are doing a chicken and waffles takeoff but not so well. The nachos are good but no option for meat. The online only menu makes it difficult to ask for things like silverware and extra napkins because no one comes by your table. This was my last day in this area and I was looking forward to the experience I had previously and ended up disappointed
By far one of the best places to go with friends on Long Island. Blue Point Brewing Co. has done it all right. The brewery and tasting areas are what one should expect at a high quality brewery. The brewery does a great job at paying homage to the Long Island region, as seen in the Blue Point Oyster bar and beer selection. I am glad this place exists and continues to be a staple of the Long Island community. This is what its all about!
Beer and price is good. Bartenders move fast. BUT WTF is with this bar. They laid this plastic over the top of the tile. It is forever sticky, scratched and stained. Had to wash my ARMS before we left it was so bad. Bartenders keep wiping but the protective coating on the plastic is GONE and needs to be replaced. Wear long sleeves.
THIS REVIEW IS NOT ABOUT THE BEER. I do enjoy their rainbow cake (usually), but something has changed since a few months ago. Previously I called and ordered food, and it was quick, the staff was incredibly nice and friendly, and I had a positive experience. I ordered a few items yesterday, and they were absolutely awful. The cauliflower salad was just a few wilted spinach leaves and overcooked cauliflower with a sprinkle of goat cheese. The pretzel and breads were stale and chewy. My rainbow cake also tasted strange and slightly like chemicals. Absolute wash of money and disappointing lunch. Staff was also completely disinterested.
Love this place! From the moment they open they haven’t disappointed. Staff is great, super friendly and accommodating. They had a mix up with my order (human error, I was t mad) and they went above and beyond to ensure they fix it and accommodated my party. And not to mention the beer is amazing - always something new and fun on the menu. Food is delicious. A great hang out for friends and party.
I almost knocked a star off for the oysters taking super long... But the were tasty when they finally came and the drink selection was excellent and they staff was friendly and understanding about everything. The kids burger, fries, and tempura shrimp sushi were also delicious.
We love going here! The food is great, service is wonderful and always have a big big beer selection. The seltzer machine is wonderful, as are the games. But the best part of BPB is Alan! Such a sweet, kind, good hearted man, who always goes out of his way to make our visit extraordinary. Can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so we can give him a big hug! Thank you for all you do Alan, you’re a gem.
Went on 5/8 with a group of friends for the first time. There was a wait but u can go outside and order food and drinks, which was great if there was a tent with heaters because it was cool and some rain. I then asked if we could put our name on the list to get a table inside, but was told we must stop spending money and go wait back in line?!! Really?!! Then when there was no line, I asked if we could put our name on list and wait to be called, again we were told to stop and go wait out front! And can someone tell me how to stand and drink beer with a mask on? Outside?? With almost no one around??? So we left and went to another local restaurant and spent over $500!! We may go another time, but not sure
This location is leaps and bounds better than the quaint, small, original location of the brewery. All the food is fresh and amazing, the drinks are as good as always, and the atmosphere is surprisingly family friendly, but also has the room for the adult crowd as well. Outdoor seating during the social distancing laws is perfect, and they are way ahead of things in terms of comfort, rules, and how ordering works. Blue Point brewery has been a staple of Long Island craft beer for a while, and Im just glad that after it was sold to AB it didnt become too mainstream and corporate. One of my favourite go toos.
Wish I grabbed a photo. This is for blue point in jfk airport. Had a room temp beer and the Buffalo chicken tenders were literally raw with the exception of 3 mm of cooked chicken under the breading. So gross. Also was rushing to catch a flight and the manager wasn’t even around so i paid for the meal. Horrible experience even for airport food. Fingers crossed I don’t get sick.
Man do I miss the old location and atmosphere. It was dog friendly, and the staff was always chill. This company has changed and not for the better. Politically motivated named beers will make you feel unwelcome if you don’t agree with their point of view. Today was the last straw for me. I was denied entry because my registered service dog is “too big and might intimidate the customers”. I know my rights when It comes to my service animal. I made the ogre of a bouncer aware of that and we went back and forth for a minute before he sighed and said “fine, come in.” in the tone of a five year old throwing a tantrum after not getting their way. We decided to go somewhere else that wanted our business, where my service dog was greeted with smiles, pets, and a bowl of water. We won’t be back and I will go out of my way to not purchase their brews anywhere I go.
LOVE this place! Their food is decent for bar food and if you are just looking to lounge for a bit. Otherwise eat at one of the great spots on main street and then hang out at the brewery. They are family and group friendly. Even when its crowded, it is still enjoyable to hangout. Cant wait to go back!
Plenty of seating and warm welcoming light. The bartenders are friendly and serve you quickly. I did not try the food while I was here but it looked very delicious. The beer is great here and its spacious so you never feel cramped when its crowded. Theres a lot of Instagram worthy artwork around the place and its a nice open concept. I have to admit my favorite part of the place was the flavored water machine 😅.
Love the tasting room and the outdoor patio area with a food truck and band playing. It is dog friendly also. It will be moving soon a few blocks away to their new location. This place has a charm to it and I hope they bring that to their new facility. Large selection of brews. They sell cans, bottles and growlers of their beer. I love it.
This place was awesome to stop on my Me Weekend. The bartender was friendly. Either she was like that or trying the product tooMuch which was funny. I had the porter which was very delicious. The atmosphere is very inviting, beer is awesome and the people there were very friendly. Also loved the tent in the back with heaters and tables.
I wish I could give them a 5 star review, but unfortunately by the way that my husband and I were treated I just can not. My husband and I met a group of friends here for a birthday party. Due to COVID, we had to sit at a table; no problem. My husband has herniated disks and cannot sit for long periods of time. Due to his injury, he will occasionally stand up and eat/drink at the table for several minutes. Well, my husband stood up at our table (did not leave the table) and we got threatened to be kicked out and very rudely yelled at by some older gentleman who was bald and who looked to maybe be a manager. He told us that under no circumstance are we allowed to stand up without a mask on and that he will not loose his license and get closed down because of us and then proceed to walk away without even letting us say anything in return. Now, I completely understand the policies, however, the situation could have been handled in a much nicer way. How he handled the situation was beyond unprofessional and if he is a manager I would be extremely shocked at how he treats customers (especially customers who are paying hundreds of dollars to be there). It is sad that this employee has the attitude that he does since the whole establishment and all of the other employees are extremely nice.
What a fun afternoon! Beautiful afternoon, great brews at great price, awesome entertainment (Mountain Jam orchestra) and very chill crowd.Bonus was got to bring the dogs who were so welcome by all!Great way to spend summer afternoon! Only drawback was really crowded in tasting room but barmaids did great job getting to everyone.
Really loving the new Brewpub! Had a wait to get in, which was absolutely expected for so soon after the opening and going on a Saturday night. The ordering system on the phone was excellent and they were getting food and drinks out so quickly. Beer was excellent as always and the food was pretty good. Great atmosphere and I cant wait to spend many a summer night there!
After reading Newsday on the fried chicken I went. Im handicapped and it was hard to find entranc and it had icy sidewalk. We only like white meat wouldnt accommodate. Asked if when I picked up could someone bring to my car they did not. The chicken came with two tiny biscuits and I ordered sides of mac and cheese $60 for dry tasteless chicken. They will never get my business
I was in Patchogue visiting friends from the weekend, and was excited to check out the “new” Blue Point Brewery spot. Being from Rochester, I am no stranger to a brewery so I was excited to check out their space and of course the beer. I loved the open space, it made it feel like a fun outdoor space inside. Beers were tasty for a larger production brewery. My only drop in rating is for the absurd amount of Security staff. We went in at 3:30pm on a Friday right around when they opened. I had just gotten off the plane, and was excited to see my friends from college, grab brews and catch up. I felt like Security constantly was looking at us or our group, when I walked by to use the restroom I got mean mugged up and down which made me feel so invited into this awesome space (not). Not sure what Blue Point is that worried about. I come from Rochester with Genesee Brewery which is producing probably just as much as Blue Point, and the only time they have Security is in the evenings patrolling the lots. Really need to chill on the Security. Breweries are supposed to have a much more comfortable atmosphere than some a club or bar. I went to 4 other breweries that weekend, and none of them had security staffed.
I love trying all of the new beers available, including Hazy Bastard variants! The staff is so lovely and attentive, the space is large with lots of seating and games. Super clean. A beautiful view of Patchogue, especially in the warmer weather with the large windows open. Great live music and food. Ive had (and loved) almost everything on the menu with no complaints. The Gose-brined smothered fries are perfect to share. Cya soon, Blue Point!
Honestly? An experience. Beer options abound, and the food pairs so well with the beers on tap! Live music every night as well, so theres no shortage of entertainment. Definitely will be back with friends in the future.P.S. The girls in the Merch area are so nice and knowledgeable!
Great atmosphere, live music stage, raw bar, open air kitchen serving elevated bar style food that pairs well with their extensive beer selection of well over 30 taps. Try the Black and Blue if you want something a little different, its their own Oatmeal Stout layered over their Blueberry Ale. Another must is their duck tacos and their seafood chowder. Also have games to play, like cornhole, and its a clean place.
So I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the past 10 years of going to bluepoint before it’s move to Main Street. Me and my girlfriend were so excited to see the new space and finally on a week night we were able to make it in for a quick beer. We ordered one beer each apparently 30 minutes before closing and started Looking around and chatting on how great the space was. We have not been to the new space yet and were not aware of the time they were closing and also never heard anyone say “last call”. So long story short, there were loads of PSA bouncers walking around even though it was a week day and people sitting at tables with toddlers and strollers. Before we knew it, a bouncer named Trent came up to us and said “closing time” although they just sold us beers. So we said “sure, we’re just finishing the end of our beers and then we’ll leave”. He literally got 2 inches from my girlfriends face and pretty much told her to get out so I stepped in and said we were leaving. He then walks over to the bar tender (who was very nice) and told her to give us our check to get us out of there. This literally happened within a 10 second period. We were given no chance even though they just sold us a beer 5 minutes before he came over to kick us out. This man Trent, literally got within inches away from my girlfriends face after she nicely said sure we’re about to leave and then demanded the bar tender have us our check? She was very frightened to the point that I had to walk over and demand his name which he wouldn’t tell me his last and then scurried away like nothing happened. What kind of 400 pound man gets in a woman’s face who is being nice about leaving when he asked the first time? Does he think he’s kicking out drunk fools from a ghetto night club at 4am? We each had one beer and were around a crowd shared with children. Everyone around us had their mouths dropped when they saw him get in her face. You lost us and a group of locals who witnessed this. This man is looking forward to getting into a physical conflict like ones seen in ghetto night clubs. This is a brewery where there is families who pay village taxes in this community to make sure places like this don’t exist, and this idiot is turning this brewery into a hostile environment which isn’t welcome. I will be talking to village hall about my experience.
One of my favorite breweries of all time. They have so many beers on tap and lots of stuff that they dont bottle or distribute elsewhere. If its a nice day you can hang out outside too. They usually have a food truck with decent food if you get hungry. Great great spot.
Friendly. Beer types not found in stores. We frequent with buddies for happy hour. Great extended summer hours, until 9pm.Food truck in rear for food MOST nights they are open. You dont buy beer, you rent it. ... Small bathroom, but they are moving to a new HUGE facility. Bathrooms are a minor detail, but not anything to not make it a 5 star brewery.
Blue Point Brewing Company steal other peoples Intellectual property, are nasty to work with and then proceed to cover up the whole thing with an NDA. I wouldnt be surprised if there Innovation beer are just copies and taste worse than their original counterparts. AVOID!
First visit, saw on Fios Restaurant Hunter, and tasted the Toasted Lager at Sayville Maritme Festival this summer....Beer selection, amazing! Taste fantastic...the Pub food selection wonderful selection of seafood, salads and hamburgers...Oysters yummy! ..live on the South Shore of Long Island...Will be back worth the drive!
Came here during the bike to montauk, and the servers were awesome. They offered a tour, special blends, free samples, and allowed the bikers to hang out and relax. I wish i could have bought a 6 pack of their gose beer but unfortunately had another 75 or so miles to polish off. Recommendation for next year is to have a booth to sell beer (six packs) at the finish line. Great brewery and great people, make sure you stop by!
Haters gunna hate and some individuals are posting reviews anonymously to forecast things that havent even happened yet. The brewery still feels local and the beer is still delicious! The interior is delightfully cramped so good luck finding a seat inside. If youre in town, make the trip! I cant wait to be able to order a Toasted Lager outside of Long Island!
Probably the best malt hop balance of a lighter beer however not a total five star review considering the six pack fell apart in my hand as I was bringing it home I managed to put one of the beers in my cooler right away but five bottles exploded after they were picked up the cardboard only has a small amount of adhesive and the condensation and the small amount of contact that it had dropped all five okay... Besides the extreme danger of exploding glass bottles I didnt get to drink five but the one that I did was exceptional please pass this on to Quality Control for future six packs
Went there for the first time, little disappointed. I felt like I was sitting in a Highschool cafeteria, between the overly loud band playing and dirty plates and napkins all over, not fun. Also they did not even have my favorite beer, Oatmeal Stout. So obnoxiously loud we went to another Brewery. 👎
Walked in on a Sunday at 610. Waited patiently at a not packed bar to order drinks. When the THREE bartenders turned around they inturn started they themselves drinking and not a single patron from my party was served. Decided to leave after 10 minutes od being ignored. Sadly we werent the only people being ignored either.
I’ve been wanting to come here for forever. I tried to call 20 times between 11am-2pm and not a single person answered the phone so I could ask if my 10 pound puppy was allowed in the tasting room. After reading all over online that it was pet friendly we decided to bring her only to get told inside she wasn’t allowed. Back home we go. Horrible customer service, someone really should have answered and saved us the inconvenience.
I’m at the JFK airport, terminal 7, and decided to have lunch, I wanted to have a relax time after a crazy day and decided to eat in “the blue point “ restaurant located inside the terminal 7 while I wait for my flight. I went to the boxes tables, the place was mostly empty and came a blond hair old lady and asked me if it was just me ... I said yes and she said you have to change to that table with 2 chairs Bc the boxes are just for families... I said the restaurant is empty and she replayed people might come later. I was really upset about the way she talked to me , she was not nice in her way to say it. I asked to a men called Patrick , he was really nice and he knew how to talk and give a really nice service to a costumer. He and other lady let listened what happened and let me sit and eat as I wanted Bc the place was empty. The blond hair old lady say she didn’t want to take my order then Patrick did it and he gave a really good costumer service. Food was so good and then I left and the place carry on being empty.
I love Pumpkin Ale at this time of year.Horace and Sylvias in Babylon Village turned me onto Leaf Pile last year. Ive recently tried Shock Top. I just tried Captain Lawrences Pumpkin Ale. Ive tried Same Adams OctoberFest. Horace & Sylvias started this thing with putting cinnamon sugar on the rim.I had Blue Points Pumpkin ale at the Shipwreck Tavern on my way to the Bayville Scream Park. I just had blues Points Pumpkin Ale again in preparation for Hurricane Sandy.By far, Blue Points Pumpkin Ale is THE BEST pumpkin ale. Stop wasting time finding the best ale. Simply get the best. Get Blue Point Pumpkin Ale today!
Terrible customer service and no communication between staff. Honestly, it’s a waste of time calling their customer service line because according to a woman who I guess is the manager they have no communication with the customer service line and also told me their customer service is located in a different state. So do NOT trust anything the customer service line tells you! Was really excited to visit their tasting room but will not be returning anytime soon.

2021-10-14Awesome place, so glad to stop there before taking a ferry. Selection of beer is miles long... Food is typical bar food, but cooked really well. The best part is the seating area and the vibe of the place - relaxed, friendly, very casual. The service is great too.I became a fan of their beer and am looking for Blue Point toasted lager now in my local stores.

2022-03-05Blue point toasted lager has always been one of my favorite beers and the brewery itself did not disappoint either! Tried a few of their other lagers and ales today as well; would highly recommend blue point to all beer lovers.

2021-08-08Great place to visit. Plenty of space, and different types of space for all kinds of groups. Loved the open air feeling with the huge overhead doors that open. Raw bar was excellent, beer was excellent, crafted cocktails and LIIT were great, too.

2022-03-26Nothing against the beer I drink blue point a lot but trying to go here and walking in for them to not have any seating or space anywhere to order food and drinks is ridiculous, twice already we’ve walked in and were just given a bracelet and sent on our way up to find catering parties both times, 0 place to sit down and get situated and no one to greet customers. Sort of a pompous environment should you be expecting to just have lunch and a few drinks, i’ll go somewhere that makes sure every customer can be accommodated.

2022-05-14This was possibly the worst place we could have chosen to eat. Tables were empty and dirty on arrival. It took too long for the waiter to bring menus even with a lot of open tables. He didnt bother taking the order for a while. The food was completely lackluster. I tried to get their attention to get something to put on the simple burger to give it any taste and while my waiter made eye contact multiple times they opted to ignore me. I ate maybe three bites and gave up. It was not a good experience.

2022-04-04My friends and I wanted to enjoy some beers on Saturday 4/2 at 3:00pm. We got in line to get wrist bands and my boyfriend gets ID’d, is given a wristband, and randomly told to be nice and patient to the bartenders as it’s packed. My friend and I hand the bouncer our IDs and he is taking a long time to check. He said mine looked really fake, I look young and I was wearing a mask and “no one wears masks around here.” He handed me a wristband and said if there wasn’t a long line that he still would be checking my ID. My last friend who is over 30 and looks it hands him his ID and the bouncer tells him it’s fake - he proceeds to try to show him a second form of ID and multiple credit cards. The bouncer said he would let him upstairs but he’s not giving him a wristband to drink. We are all way over age and just wanted to enjoy our Saturday. We were truly disappointed and upset. Will never (try) to go again.

2022-04-08Absolutely a lot of fun. Wide selection of beer to satisfy any beer drinkers pallet (and even some non beer drinkers), as well as some decent snacks, live music and table games. Really enjoyed!
