Great little local cider house. The small company has two locations one in Virginia and the one we visited. Staff in Rochester was helpful insightful fun and cheerful. Had a great time and samples a variety of their ciders. For me the lilac cider made for the lilac festival was tops. Dry with of course floral notes it cut through your thirst and was a delight. They have a broad scope from dry to sweet to fit anyones flavor. Using locally sourced apples means you can feel good about sitting down relaxing and enjoying their delicious offerings. Its a do not miss if close or a detour if not
Cute place! Unassuming from the outside but inside is a really cute and cozy place with great ciders and great service. Met up with some friends and we had a great time trying the selection with flights. Fun place to get a drink and not as crazy as a bar so you can actually have a conversation
I came here one Saturday afternoon a while back, and its a cool little place! The cider was amazing (I recommend the blonde), and staff was nice as well! The cider was different from others that I have had before, but in an incredibly good way. The flavor was FANTASTIC I plan on getting many growlers throughout the rest of the summer from here.
Love the cider here. Had an issue about a year ago right before Christmas with the victor location and the owner went above and beyond to take of me. Even offered to have my car detailed for the inconvinence. Its a hour and a half away but Every time we are in Rochester area we stop in and fill a few growlers. Love it....
Ive always really enjoyed the cider and the service here but one night, in a bar full of people, 2 mins after they have closed, I encountered my first bad experience with Blue Toad.Me (white woman) and my boyfriend (Indian man) went to pick up a growler for a party. Admittedly, we got there a few minutes after closing. We walked in, people everywhere, and the bartender informed us they were closed. My boyfriend asked if we can buy a growler, since they were clearly not going anywhere soon, given the amount of people still drinking. The bartender proceeded to enunciate were closed to my boyfriend, as if he didnt speak English--ya know, since he isnt white--until we were so embarrassed that we left. Were we in the wrong? Maybe. But there was a way more tactful way to respond.I am a huge proponent of drinking local and Ive always been a huge fan of Blue Toad, but this left a bad taste in my mouth.Honestly so angry that I dont think Id show my face again here.
Went to Sticky Lips for supper and they had a guy there giving out samples of their cider, he gave us a ticket for a free flight of cider. So we went there to check it out and told the guy working it was my birthday which it is and he gave me a free glass of the vanilla apple bourbon cider.

2022-07-16Very good adult ciders. Approximately 14 to choose from. The woman at the bar was very helpful, helped me pick 8. Flights were 6, 8, 10, or 12 options. The pretzel was great, especially enjoyed the honey mustard. I reccomend trying the Amber. The lilac though was my go to on a hot day as it just felt refreshing. Overall, a large clean, not too crowded venue. The woman did say they are pet friendly, but I unfortunately didnt see any dogs today. I will definitely be back. Great location, right next to Palmers.

2021-05-22We like blue toad we have often had their cider at bars and at home. We went to the new tasting room and liked it. It is off the main drag with both indoor and outdoor seating. The customer service was great and they had a good selection of ciders and even a few beers.

2022-02-08Second time weve been to Blue Toad Cidery. Have really liked most of their ciders (many to choose from & personal taste) My wife & I did a cake decorating class with Tu Amor Cakery at BT. Alot of fun! Ordered a flight of 6 but really enjoyed the Ring of Fire Cider and ordered a pint of that after. Wife had a Muddy Turtle pint (aftertaste of tootsie roll), she liked it. Overall a nice place, good prices and friendly staff. Located inside the Genessee Valley Regional Market so its a little different than some of other Cidery locations around Rochester/Finger Lakes region. But if your in Henrietta and your thirsty, stop in at Blue Toad!!

2020-02-02Had a great time here with my girlfriend! The bartender was super friendly and happy to help us decide what we wanted in our cider flight. We will definitely be back here soon! Their seasonal ciders were really good and I am excited to see what comes out next!

2019-03-17This was the BEST cider house I have been to. Robin was working and she is by far the friendliest, most welcoming bartender I have ever met. Randomly the Celiac’s meetup group came in and it was a blast to talk with others who have a gluten intolerance. I will be back here many more times and hopefully Robin will be working! Seriously, if you have not been here, go!

2021-11-12Solid cider choices, nice atmosphere, not usually a whole lot of food options (especially if you dont eat meat or dairy), but you can have food delivered so thats not a big deal. Also a fan of supporting a fellow RIT alums business.
