Bob Johnson Ford in other cities:
Just like other have said.......this place is a joke. I went here looking to buy a new truck. I test drove the truck and made a deal with them. I told them to check the brakes because they were really low. Well needless to say when I went to pick up the truck the salesman told me the service department said the brakes were fine. Also, these vehicles are suppose to go through a thorough inspection before they leave the lot.a few weeks later i took the tires off and checked the brakes myself. I found they were very low and the rotors were bad. In the process noticed the rear end was leaking. They had been waiting for my headrest part too come in and I was waiting for the call. once I noticed brakes and rear end I called them. They were very short with me and told me to wait until they called me on my headrest part. When they called me about the headrest part I told the service department again about brakes and rear end. They told me they were booked out for over a month. I set up appointment and had to drop the vehicle on my time which I was very mad about because the truck should have never left the lot the way I received it. None of the issues should have made it through their so called inspection. Mind you the truck was only 4 years old with 38,000miles on it. Needless too say they told me rotors were warped, brakes were low, and rear end leaked. They replaced rear end seal and brake pads. They told me if I wanted new rotors that I would have to pay for them, but they would turn the rotors that were on truck. So they turned them and too this day the rotors are still junk. Do yourself a favor and find a better dealership with a better service department because these guys are a joke.
Made appointment for oil change, tire rotation and NYSI. Was told they would like it there by 8:30am. We actually dropped the car off the night before. First come, first served apparently isnt how this is handled as the car didnt get in until around 3pm.When the car was picked up the price charged was not what we were quoted. I have never paid so much for an oil change! Each conversation with the service department left us feeling like we were bothering them. At no point were we made to feel like they cared if we returned for service or not.Our other vehicle is serviced by a dealer who ALWAYS makes me feel like they value my business so this was a surprise.Wont be back...
Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. Purchased a van with 24,000 miles on it- I really wanted the new DVD system for the kids, and was reassured that everything was checked over and in tip-top shape. Purchased this year-old car- with a broken DVD system, freezing electrical system, melting electrical cords, HORRIFIC breaks (so bad another local Chrysler dealership told me to take it back ASAP)- they should NOT have been sold that way. The service department has told me more than once not to come in for WARRANTY issues. The irony of the fact that there is a sign saying, “your no nonsense dealership” as you walk in, is uncanny. They are trying to convince you- please, don’t get yourself a used car from there. Find a place that cares about you, your happiness, and most importantly, your safety!
Very poor service department! I took my F150 in for a diagnosis and price for repairs. I got a price for the parts and repairs, then a couple hours later it went up 800 dollars. I told them I was going to do the repairs myself and when u looked at it they didnt even tighten stuff they removed. I have had two vehicles in that place ,my F150 because theyre the only ford dealer in my Area and I would take my vehicles to Monroe Muffler before I ever walk in that place again. They worked on my wifes van and said it was the computer 1200 dollars later I didnt get five miles away and it quit. They wanted to charge me for the tow and it turned out to be a module on the transmission and not the computer yet they still charged me for it. Do yourself a favor drive the extra miles to a good dealership.
Don’t by any used vehicles from them. I have taken mine back numerous times for the air conditioner leaking inside the car on the floor. Once turning the air back on at the beginning of summer it started leaking again. I called to make another service appointment was given one, and now they are stating I have no appointment. Will never be returning to purchase any other vehicles.
Genesee Valley Ford recently provided me and my family with an unbelievable level of service. We were on a family camping trip and we blew the water pump in my F150 on the 390 coming home. After waiting roughly 2 hours for a tow and enduring a rain storm, the truck arrived at the dealership at 3:00pm on a Friday. After seeing the amount of vehicles waiting to be serviced, and considering the day and time, my expectations were pretty low. I spoke with Steve D. at the service counter and told him I was pretty sure it was the water pump. Steve went to the back to check the parts dept. to see if a water pump was in stock. Steve returned with a Tech (Shane C.) and we walked out to the truck. Shane confirmed it was the water pump and took the truck into the shop. In 1.5 hours the truck was fixed at a reasonable cost. I cant thank the guys at Genesee Valley Ford enough for getting my family back on the road so quickly. I have never been so impressed with a level of customer service at an organization. Thanks again!
One of the best dealerships in the county. These guys not only give great no hassle deals, their service is next to none. They not only do great work, they find any discount possible to get you the most for your money. Ive been dealing with them for a few years now. I would recommend them to anyone interested in buying or leasing either a Ford or Chrysler vehicle. They also have a great inventory of new and used vehicles. Residential or commercial. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. 5 stars!!
Let me start by saying i had been a customer with Genesee Valley Ford for approximately 6 years and before this last experience i felt regarded as a loyal customer. I have Leased two vehicles as well as purchased two vehicles since 2014. My latest experience however has been nothing short of disturbing. I made a call to them on the 27th of June 2020. While I understand this was a Saturday I was able to speak to a sales representative that was going to notify the manager and they would get back to me very soon. I waited about 4 hours and called them back. Again being assured that I would receive a call back in about 5 minutes. Today the 6th of July was the first call back that I have received from them. I was unable to answer the call. So as soon as I could around 1 pm 6 July 2020 I returned their call. Again assured I would receive a call back from them. It is not 6 pm and I am guessing loyalty means nothing at this point as I still have not received a call and suspect I will not. This is actually a sad post as i felt when you do business with someone and return they might be as loyal as you have attempted to be. Oh how times have changed.
After reading great reviews I decided to go/buy with Genesee Valley Ford. I worked with Debbie Robinson. I called and let her know exactly what I needed/wanted. Debbie went above and beyond. She would text me with certain trucks that suited my needs to look at. She stayed late one night just so we could go over my options. She found the Truck I wanted and no other dealership could come close to the price. We scheduled an appointment at my convenience. It was a Saturday when Debbie has off, however she still came in for the final sign off and show & tell. When we were signing papers, the GM even came over and introduced himself. Highly Recommend this dealership and Highly recommend Debbie. My first new vehicle with a great experience. I will definitely be going back. Thanks Debbie!
Genesee Valley ford is amazing to say the least. All employees make going there a wonderful experience. You never feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. I particularly and beyond impressed with the service department. They truly care and take of their customers. I have worked with all the service advisors and each one of them make it a great experience. Steve in particular is truly spectacular. Each time I call he knows exactly who I am and answers any question I have and always goes above and beyond. He makes us feel as we are family and not just another number in line. Thank you all!!
Asked the salesman for a price on a vehicle and he walked away saying he had to ask his boss. He continued to stand in an office doorway chatting with 2 gentlemen. We walked outside looked at the expedition again, walked to our truck and sat for a minute, drove around the parking lot and never once did the salesman make an effort to approach us again. I will never patronize a business like that and will be buying my expedition elsewhere!
I had made an appointment for NY State Inspection. I waited for the work to be done and it was completed in a reasonable time. I was especially pleased to learn that there was no charge for my first time inspection. The service desk personnel were courteous and very professional.
Took my Focus in for some recall work and ended up having them try to scam me for a new battery. I was told that the battery wouldn’t put out enough voltage to allow them to program the computer. A quick call to my local mechanic confirmed my suspicion that this is not really a thing. When I refused a new battery the service manager asked if I didn’t trust him. Well, I sure don’t now. Took the car and had the battery tested only to find out that it was in perfect condition.A business is only as good as its reputation and this place has now proven to me that, NO, they are not to be trusted.
We had an excellent experience at Genesee Valley Ford. The staff are incredibly friendly and not pushy. We have been other places and felt like we were being forced to buy something, which is not a good feeling. Our experience working with Dave was great, he spent the better part of his day working with us to get the perfect truck, they were very busy that day, but we still felt like we were valued customers. We were originally in the market for a used vehicle, but given the rebates and the no nonsense price of a new truck, we were actually able to afford a brand new vehicle. Their later hours also accommodate folks who work until 5pm like my husband and I, so when our truck was ready, we were able to swing by after work and pick it up. I would definitely recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a Ford.
I have been coming to Genesee Valley Ford for service since September 2011. I have always been more than satisfied with my experience with the Service team. They treat you fairly and honestly and provide great recommendations. It is very easy to find an appointment that works with your schedule. I keep coming back because of the great customer service!
I just purchased a new F150 from Genesee Valley Ford and had a great experience. Dave Fountain was very knowledgeable and patient as we went through all the vehicles as well as purchase options. There was never any pressure to buy Right now or pushing me to higher priced vehicles. I got the truck I wanted for the price I wanted and I am very satisfied.
The dealership has been excellent from buying experience with Jason and gang in the service department. I have been there numerous times with the many issues Ive had with my 2017 escape. Hats off to Steve and Wayne, they know me by name when i drop off my car or hear my voice on the phone. Its a shame that Ford will not stand by there product and work with you on a resolution that makes you satisfied. They make the unpleasant experience of your car breaking down so stress free I can not get mad at the service department . You guys rock!!Robb
I had John Mathe as my sales associate but really truly he was so patient and explained everything to my husband and I! I have bought numerous cars but I have never gotten such great service and understanding for what Im driving away with. Not to mention they worked with me on my budget and my monthlyI payments!! They tried everything to make sure I happy with my purchase! Also the owner, DOM, what a great guy!! Ill be back!! And Im bringing friends!! 👌🙌
I heard about Genesee Valley from WHAM Don Genova was on Saturday morning Home repair show. Decided to check out the web site. Found a car I liked and decided to come down and drive it. Tried the Edge. Nice car but too big for me . Debbie In sales was amazing. She found a smaller SUV so I bought a Ford Escape.i absolutely Love it !!
When my check engine and wrench indicator lights came on while driving to work, I had my father call Genesee Valley where I purchased my Escape to see if I could bring it in to have it checked. I was able to drop it off that evening so that it could be diagnosed the following day. I was contacted early in the afternoon and notified that the repair was fully covered by the extended warranty, which meant I didnt have to pay anything. I picked up later that day and its been running great since then. All in all, it was a very good experience. Certainly an improvement over the last time I stopped into the same shop a few weeks earlier for the wrench indicator and was told to just turn off my vehicle and turn it back on. If the wrench didnt come on, I was told it was safe to drive. This time though, was much improved.
Great service , they are very pleasant and patient with you. Explain everything and go the extra mile to make a sale that will benefit the customer more than themselves. Worked with Dave Fountain. He was awesome , made a dream come true for us. As far as service goes, same thing. Thank you to all at Genesee Valley Ford.
I scheduled my first appointment with Genesee Valley Ford to have my vehicle serviced and the experience was great. I was in and out in no time at all. The employee that took care of me was wonderful and the waiting area was clean and had refreshments. I definitely recommend Genesee Valley Ford.
I’ve dealt with Genesee Valley Jeep & Ford since 2006 . I have bought six vehicles, 1 used & 5 new .My latest purchase of a 2019 Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk . Amazing vehicle. This dealer is a definite 10 in my book.Easy to deal with , fantastic staff. My sales person Ann Turner worked a great deal for me . No pressure, no complaints.Ken AdamsGeneseo NY.
My wife purchased her first Jeep Wraufrom here and I must say, the service is amazing. Jenna, our sales rep was very patient with us and helped us through the entire process. Her team were also great to make sure our experience was smooth. Thank you all for the great job.Greg + Elif
I was looking at buying a car from this dealership. I had checked out the car alone and took it for a test drive. Lenny was helping me the first day. when I asked him questions about the car he told me he didnt know anything about it because he deals with fords and this was a vw. the second time I stopped in to make sure the car was still there and double check on the price. Wanting a second opinion I drove an hour from my house with my brother to check out the car a third time, this time prepared to settle at the price they were giving me. when we arrived we were approached by a lady who unlocked the car for us. After unlocking the car she begins the tell me that she knows Ive been here before and that if we want to take the car for a test drive I have to understand the price isnt going down and that she wont let us take it out unless I was willing to pay this price. this caught me off guard. she then proceeds to ask us what we do for a living as if to say we cant afford the car. the more this lady spoke the more we felt disrespected. after she being extremely rude as Im already in my car she asked if we wanted to take a test drive. I said no and left the dealership. never will I return and would not recommend this dealership to anyone that wants to be treated like a human being.
Great experience! No pressure sales. Lenny was excellent! Love my Escape and I feel like I got a great deal! Have already referred others to Genesee Valley Ford. My father previously bought there and would refer others as well!Thank you to everyone who helped with my purchase!!
I went here after my 7th dealer experience looking for a new F150. They were extremely nice, not pushy, and helpful. They found the truck I was looking for (very picky on the options the truck came with) they were able to beat all the other competitors in price by giving me the best deal possible. My fiance bought her vehicle there back in 2011 and now I have. For our next vehicle we will likely be back to see them! Highly recommend them!
Some of the best service around!! Never have had a problem. Ive bought and have my vehicle service here, prices are extremely reasonable and the wait time is amazingly quick especially for an oil change! I would definitely recommend my family and friends to shop and get service here, especially if youre a ford owner like myself
My husband took our Ford Escape to Genesee Valley Ford for oil change, tire rotation, and repair to back window wiper. He felt the wait was longer than he expected (difficult for him to wait ), yet the service maintenance on the vehicle was excellent. There was a rebate involved, too, which was greatly appreciated. Definitely 5 star rating!Thank you!
We bought a warranty with our used Expedition and it has worked out great. We have had the pleasant experience of having really expensive parts replaced under the program with no trouble at all. The warranty has paid for itself, but I love most how a repair gets brought up and done even when I dont know that something is broken! Theyve never hidden behind tiny type or tried to get out of honoring the warranty. It really does cover almost everything!
It was easy to schedule my latest inspection. Service had my vehicle in before the scheduled appointment time and it was finished and ready before I knew it. The serve department has always been accommodating and courteous. Nothing but the highest quality of service for the three vehicles I have purchased from GV Ford. Highly recommend the service department!
I initially tried to book a full service for my F 150 on line. I had a problem with it, expecting a response. I decided to call and book an appointment. I’m happy I did, when talking to the the service manager you definitely get a better feeling. The service was outstanding. The service manager went over a couple of things and gave me a good feeling about the whole experience.
They told my girlfriend that her car part was going to be a week to ship in, but her dad found the part and could’ve been shipped over night if they called by 3 (they didn’t) they then told her it was going to be a few days and then when it was supposed to be ready she went to pick it up they said the guy who does that stuff isn’t here today. Horrible customer service
I went there last week and was reassured on the phone that they would do right by me. My wife and I wasted an entire evening looking at a van that I found out was WAY over priced. They kept telling me that there must be a difference in the other vans I saw, and the one they had. I looked into the other vans I saw and they were the exact same vehicle. I was promised by the salesman that he would call me the next morning. That was last week, and I havent heard a thing from them. They also tried putting me in a smart buy financing program and were very very vague on the details. It wasnt until I did my own research that I found out what a bad decision that would be. I am glad they never called me back though because I would have gotten screwed over big time with their shady financing that they were not really honest about. I found the exact same year, make and model van with 30K less miles as Simmons-Rockwell for the same price, and was called back EVERY TIME they said they would. All in all, I wasted time, almost got screwed and was told all the typical BS sales lines from the salesman. Very, very disappointing experience.
Hands down the worst place Ive ever taken a car for service, I needed two recalls done neither of which was done correctly and they failed to put the door panels back on the car properly. Not only that but their service department charges almost 3 times what several other shops in the area charge for a simple service, and the wait time is ridiculous. Your car will be all set in 30min, actually give us another hour, we should have it done by the end of the day, you know what just pick it up at 10am tomorrow morning. Absolutely ridiculous would not recommend what so ever.
Jared Hobbs is a great salesman! He was nice and very honest throughout the entire process. He even asked me how much I wanted for my trade-in and gave me the price I asked. It was a smooth transaction and the customer service is exceptional! Would definitely recommend!
Im very happy with my new Ford Escape and happy I went to Genesee valley Ford. They really do mean what they say about no gimmicks or pressure tactics. Larry was courtesy and helpful finding the vehicle I wanted. I would recommend anyone to stop and look there first you will be glad you did.
EJ Every was our salesman when we went to look at a used 2010 F-150. It was the best price in the area for the amount of miles it has on it and the amount of options that it has. EJ was great, we negotiated the deal to an agreeable amount that left both parties satisfied. I am nothing but happy with the truck and the service that was given at Genesee Valley Ford. Recommend this car dealership to all, and will return for future business.
Went in on Monday 2.22.16 for a NYS Inspection. I was warmly greeted by the service writer & offwe went. I was looking around at the new vehicles for about 15 minutes, & low & behold the truck wasfinished, & I was on my way. This dealer is customer driven & bends over backwards to please thecustomer. Love doing business with Dom & his staff.
After having several company vehicles serviced by Genesee Valley Ford and buying one car from them Ive always been very pleased in theyre efficiency and the courtesy shown. I recently bought a 2016 F150 as a personal vehicle and am more than pleased with the way Betty Harrington handled the sale and the quality of the vehicle. Five stars from me.
Great problem solving over the phone. As a new owner I was unaware of one of the advantages of the keyless system concerning locking all the doors and lift gate. After listening to my explanation of what wasnt happening they then asked a few questions, told me what they wanted me to try and then success. Then provided a common sense answer to why the system was designed that way....Very patient and able to understand provided info...GREAT JOB
I have been dealing lately with a lot of dealerships. Genesee Valley surprised me with their instant value on a New 2016 F350 Dually crew cab that had just came in a few days before. Typically they dont have many dual rear wheel trucks and so I hadnt really been looking at Genesee Valley. Was i in for a great surprise. EJ Knew his trucks as well as I knew my trucks. That was a good sign, drove it, put a deposit it on it Monday so I could work on finanaces. Once I had all my ducks in a row I came in Saturday and picked up the truck. I didnt spend my whole weekend in a chair haggling a price because I knew what X plan was and what the invoice was. EJ came in under my X plan and that was the SALE. Genesee put a plug in the bed for my slide in truck camper and I bought a bed mat that had the Ford emblem at pretty much cost.I have driven Fords for going on 40 years. This is the first time that a FORD dealership has earned my praise. Congrats Genesee Valley Ford your doing it right and good job DOM! you got a heck of a crew working for you. once again THANK YOU EJ. great job.!P.S. even the sales manager was attentive to what was going on and only had to answer one question for EJ about an interest rate. I dont know about you but I dislike that let me go ask my sales manager response while I am working on a vehicle sale.
I brought my car in to Genesee Valley Ford for a transmission problem that occurred earlier that day. Unfortunately the vehicle could not be fixed as the transmission was beyond repair. The service department worked with me to cut the cost of the service (checking the transmission) by 1/3. While I had to scrap the car as its value was no longer there, Genesee Valley Ford worked with me and my family to get us into a new Ford Escape. Lenny P. worked with us to make sure we made a decision we were happy with and financially able to handle. His emphasis was on us and not the sale, which is one of the reasons we are repeat customers for both service and purchase.
The service department is a bunch of thieves! I took my 2012 Ford edge to them to get the door sensor fixed less then a year ago, when the car was under its final year of warranty. Not even a full year has passed and the open door light is back on. They replaced the door sensor this time, but surprise, the warranty expired! So not only did I have to pay the $100 dollar diagnostic fee, I also had to pay for the door sensor itself, that was over $400!! And to top it all off, every one of the employees, including the man behind the computer, was absolutely rude!! This place is complete trash!!!
I just recently purchased my first vehicle (from a dealership) from Genesee Valley. I was always weary about dealing with car sales(wo)men in fear of being pressured to make a purchase I wasnt committed to. I worked with Lenny on the phone over the course of a couple days while attempting to get an approval. He was very prompt in getting back to me and thorough in explaining every detail. On the day I bought my car, I met with Betty who not only made me laugh, but made the whole ordeal a lot less stressful than I ever thought it would be. Thanks to Lenny and Betty I have a new car that I absolutely love and feel confident in my purchase. It was an overall great experience and Id recommend them to anyone!
I really like my 2018 Ford Ecsport Ive been a customer at Geneses Valley Ford for a few yrs. now and they have been very helpful to me ,I especially like my Ecsport because of the way the back hatch opens ,it opens like a door so I dont have to jump up to try and grab hold of the hatch like the one I had before . Its much easier for me especially being short 😉Sincerely, Tammy Stewart
We just purchased a new 2015 Escape Titanium. This is our third vehicle purchased from this dealer. The sales staff is friendly with no high pressure antics. Service Department is excellent with extended hours. Dylan Baker our salesman, was very helpful in making our deal happen.
Ryan and Cork were both extremely helpful with our car buying experience. I have recommended the dealership several times already. Just today, someone was walking around my Escape in a parking lot. I asked, Are you looking at my car? He replied that he was and he was thinking about buying one for his wife. He was driving a new Ford 250. I told him he should go to Genesee Valley Ford, that they would treat him well and give him a good deal. He thanked me and said he just might do that.
My Wife and I came to Genesee Valley Ford to see Lenny to talk about leasing a new Ford. We know we were 100% satisfied from the beginning to the end... We love our new 2015 Ford Fusion... This is a Sweet Car.... Thank you Lenny for all you did for us... Genesee Valley Ford are very lucky to have a great person like you representing them. Keep up the GREAT work....
I have the benifit of having been on both sides of this fence. I worked there, I got the training, I saw how things are done on the sales rep side. Want to know? Its simple. No really, thats how it is, simple. Theres no bull crap. They find the car you WANT and then find a way to make it affordable. They wash it, detail it and have it waiting out front when you arrive. When I left I still sent everybody there to buy, my family included. Mom just bought what will be our families third car there. Recently I drove away with a Fiesta St they drove all the way to Macena to get for me!Want the best car buying experience possible? Walk through those doors.
EJ Every and Jenn Roberts were exceptionally helpful in getting me back into A truck after trying a SUV for 6 months. They were a pleasure to deal with as always. Dean was also great in getting me where I had to be money wise. A very professional sales staff. Would highly recommend Genesee Valley Ford for anyones next car purchase. Thanks again for the time EJ Every spent making the deal happen.Richard Shick
We were greeted on arrival by Pete. We knew, pretty well, what we were looking for and he must have had a premonition that we were going show up because, the car was sitting right outside the door. A short test drive sealed the deal and all that was left to do was financing. We picked the automobile up the next day. A 2018 Ford Fusion with everything except the navigation package and the sun/moon roof. My wife and I both dislike the sun/moon roof and we have our navigation via cell phone.I must admit that the way Pete conducted us through the process was quick and painless. Never any pressure to buy. Only courtesy and thoughtfulness.I rated overall a 4 star because, in my mind, there is nothing perfect.Dan Tremblay
I brought my 2010 F-150 in ,because I had a buzzing type of noise. I informed the service dept. that the truck would have to be driven between 10-20 mph. After the ride , I was informed that the noise was my off road tires. I took my truck to a local shop, they discovered that one of my vacuum canisters, used in shifting to 4wd, was causing the axle to stay engaged. Funny not my tires. Also all of the joints were in great shape, however the shop found that I needed a ball joint replaced. All this tok place only a month ago. This will make me think twice about doing business with them in the future.
I took a diesel dually extended cab for a front end alignment the service manager Jerry took the time to to see exactly what I needed he put one of his mechanics on the repair and did a great job !!! A lot of other shops could not do an alinement do to the large size of this truck , it was no problem for Jerry and his Tec . truck drives like new and thank you Dom.
Intelligence- they know their stuff. Friendly- always a smile and a hello. Honesty- no baloney treatment. Finally, accessability- they are ALWAYS there for you. Thanks, Dom for an outstanding dealership, staff second to none and a superior product. Ron from Retsof, NY.
JARED HOBBS is simply amazing. You never feel rushed or pressured with your purchase or if your just browsing. He takes his time and uses all the resources possible to get the best numbers that fit where you want to be. We will be forever customers with him and cant thank him enough for being so helpful, informative and patient everytime hes worked with us. He is definitely the go to guy and you will not be dissapointed.
Dont go here, brand new rims, less then 100 miles on them and both wheel weights fell off, come to find out they used old weights and old tape, worst workmanship around.and if you do some digging they dont have a 4.8 rating,he blocks all bad reviews on Facebook, lots of bad reviews and dont let the hacks near a motor

2022-05-21Fantastic experience all around - specifically with Tyler. He was straight up with me and was always available to answer questions, etc.I hear horror stories about dealerships marking up prices of Ford Mavericks and how the orders are taking forever.. super happy that I didn’t have that same experience.

2019-03-28Worst dealership experience ever. Its disappointing when a sales person and sales manager go out of their way to make an already stressful experience exponentially worse for customers. Here’s my experience with them. I had been considering trading in my Jeep SRT for a Raptor and went to the auto show last month. I really liked the Raptor but wanted to test drive it before buying. I woke up Monday morning and went over to test drive the truck. Also, I specifically went to Genesee because I wanted to support the local dealership (I live a few miles away). I got there and told the sales person that I sat in a Raptor at the auto show and wanted to test drive it to make sure I’d like driving a pick-up after driving the SRT for so long. The sales person had me wait until the sales manager got there. Apparently, they only let certain people test drive the Raptors. I was fine with that and waited about ten minutes until he arrived to give the okay. The sales manager would not let me test drive the truck unless we did a deal sheet. This is where things went south – I’ve never been asked to do a deal sheet on a vehicle before deciding to buy it. I think they were just too lazy to do their job and take me out for a five minute test drive so I could get a feel for the truck. Or, I guess I did not fit the certain type of person that they allow to drive Raptors. After not agreeing to go through the deal sheet exercise, they would not let me test drive the truck. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed that I wasted my time with them. I’ll also note that the “sales manager” never came out to greet me or talk to me. If I had someone in my dealership on a Monday morning seriously considering a 76K truck – I’d welcome them in, offer them a coffee, and give them a nice firm handshake. After all of this, I drove out to West Herr in Greece, where I bought my Raptor. I was able to test drive the Raptor within five minutes of arriving at the dealership and drove it home the next day. Class Act there. Don’t waste your time with these jokers – you can do way better somewhere else.

2021-11-09I took my car to them back in April with 2 Ford recalls. One had already been completed but needed to be cleared by a Ford dealership so I could be issued a refund for the repair that was done prior to the recall. In July I called to check the status of said refund as Ford says refunds typically take 4-8 weeks. I left them with my original receipts (required for a refund) for the repairs and also the recall notices. Im told they never submitted the request for the refund and also no longer have the original receipts. They told me to email copies of my receipts on July 14 that it wouldn’t be an issue and they’d submit it. It’s now November 9th. Ford has no knowledge of the refund request. No one is ever available to speak to at the dealership regarding the status of the refund. I’ve been calling them since September to try to get an update on it. This is incredibly poor costumer service. I would NOT recommend this dealership for recall/warranty issues.

2021-11-11Absolutely the worst service experience ive ever had. Took me 25 minutes to get ahold of the ford service writer. Hung up on twice, transferred to the chrysler side 3 times by mistake. When I did get to him he kept interrupting me during our conversation. Then they took it upon themselves to order recall parts for a non applicable recall. Once I did pick up the vehicle the console components didnt work. Never again.

2021-07-21This rating is for the service department not the sales department;Never buy a Chevy from a Ford dealer... Worst Service department I have ever been to. Their customer service skills are lacking. I live in Brockport, so its a drive to go back & forth. I have had my car to them three times in the month I have owned it. I have wasted so much gas driving back and forth from Brockport to Avon to get it fixed. They treat me as if I am inconveniencing them because they have to send it to a Chevy dealership to fix. This is not my problem. I did not buy my car from the Chevy dealership down the road; I bought it from their dealership. They have no compassion or understanding of how my car having so many issues within the first month of purchase inconveniences me. Its a shame too, because the customer service on the sales side was amazing. My sales guy Tony was excellent and very helpful with my cars issues. Once I crossed over to service, that warm fuzzy feeling goes away. Its a shame Bob Johnsons name is associated with this place. They dont live up to that name.

2021-10-01If I could give zero stars I would! Significant service problems I encountered with Genesee Valley Ford over the course of 3 separate service visits culminating on August 17th, 2021.At that time I brought my 2011 Ford Fusion in for a service recall for airbags. While in for this recall additional recalls were identified:1.Fuel Tank, which was found to be faulty and in need or replacement.2.Power DriveWhen dealing with the service writer to set up the appointment for the fuel tank replacement, he advised us that it would require a full day of labor. As this is our only personal vehicle, we inquired about loaner vehicles as it was a factory recall. He stated that due to the age of the car we would not be provided with a loaner vehicle, reimbursement for travel to or from the shop while the car was in the garage, or so much as a courtesy ride home after dropping the vehicle. He was beyond inconsiderate and left the drop-off and pick up for this factory recall repair to our own device. We ended up arranging for a loaner vehicle to cover the period our vehicle would be in the garage. When delivering the vehicle, which was after hours and required the use of the key drop box, I also asked for the service department to check the air pressure in the tires as the warning light happened to come on while we were driving it to the dealership.Upon receiving my vehicle back I discovered that the TPMS light was still on and the passenger tire was 10 pounds low. There was also a very loud noise from the exhaust that wasnt there before. And Even though the service department was still supposed to be open, I had to find someone to allow me to bring the vehicle back into the garage where the only service tech in the shop was able to put it on the lift. We discovered that the exhaust pipe between the catalytic converter and the muffler had broken open due to corrosion. This was not an issue before the work was performed.Additionally, my vehicle check engine light came on within days of the repair, which was determined with an ODB reader to be an oxygen sensor issue, and the warning for the Check Fuel Fill Inlet came up on the dashboard.Today, we noticed the muffler was crooked along the bumper. When I crawled under to inspect why, I found that the pipe clamp was not placed back into the support boot, but instead was hanging with a coat hanger. At no time was this ever brought to our attention and as a service technician in a different field, an abhorrent way to mask an inept repair. In summary, the service provided by your licensed franchise was unacceptable. I have included a picture of said hanger that was used to support our muffler.I will never be returning to the same dealership or communicating with them further as the service department is obviously less than able to perform adequate vehicle repairs, and the service writer team was incredibly rude and demeaning when trying to schedule and arrange for the appointment. My advice?...AVOID at all costs...
