Went sat night. The food was good but I felt very rushed. Me and my husband got a bottle of wine, our appetizers our 2 entrees and side dishes all in 25 min. I’m sorry but especially if we ordered a bottle of wine I don’t think that rushing all that food is ok. Didn’t even finish our 1st glass before everything was served. Very weird. Food was good but my biggest pet peeve is when the restraunts bring out all the food that quick. So wouldn’t return after that.
Very good service especially crotian lady. Please be aware that they use charcoal grill and it might burn it a little bit. I like the pasta on the menu. Very good wine selections. Very good calamari.
The food was excellent,Cesar salad was yummy, Filet Mignon was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Service was spot on, especially our Server Paris!! She didn’t miss anything. Definitely a return visit over and over

The Caroline Crab Salad is EVERYTHING!!!! It’s so delicious I had to tell you about it! I’m also a big fan of the surf & turf, lobster roll & French dip sandwich. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!!!!
Consistently amazing. The rigatoni is delicious as well as the eggs benedict. My only disappointment is the baked clams. The last time the dish was overpowered by the oregano.

Less than Mediocre and not worth the price. Our server was not friendly or attentive. Steaks came out overdone and we had to ask twice where our son’s meal was.
Nothing like a great steak and a bottle of fine red wine when you finally hit the Hamptons on a Friday evening. Terrific food, wine list, and the service is wonderful here. Love this place.
On today visit 5/23 we were one of the first tables to be served food when the kitchen opened and the soup was over salted. The seared tuna was overcooked. The burger was good as well were the muscles.
Was expecting a better dinner for that price and being in the Hamptons. I ordered the chicken dish is it was just so so, presentation was as if I was in a diner. Tried a piece of my friend steak and honestly it was below average. These chain steakhouse restaurants become to lax and feel their name will always bring customers, sorry but I wont be back!On a positive note, my waiter was on point and knew the menu like he was cooking it, wish I remembered his name..

Unfortunately, I’m not very happy rating anything this low, but the experience that I had eating there left me very very disappointed especially since we were after all in the Hamptons. We were sad outside on the patio, which is a cute little place, because the inside was a little more sporty like and lively well we were looking for quieter place. We ordered appetizers, and the French onion soup tasted amazing but after a few bites underneath the cheese underneath the bread was a horribly large nasty fly. I understand that this could happen to anyone, but I was just so disgusted that I could not eat anything else. The owner ended up comping all of our appetizers, we were six at the table, and others ended up ordering meals as well and they were happy with them. So if it weren’t for this, hoping isolated incident, I would’ve given it a couple more stars.
Very disappointed. Wanted to order out for the first time after this long quarantine and make it a fathers day/ sont birthday. Called a week before and she told me there was no problem using a gift card but when we are all ready to leave, I called to place my order and was told that we could not use the gift card. So why is your address in the envelop of the gift card when they dont take gift cards.
Food good- Service not so much... Dont order the Prix Fix menu, the waiter wont bother with you. Pretty sure I received an eye roll when I asked for more a second drink. Maybe its a different experience when you order a $500 bottle of wine? No thanks.
We came to this spot for dinner. we heard about this place from many people. Well, it was a winning. the crew were so friendly and we felt fantastic. The meal was yummy. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. We recommend this place to all.
Everything on the menu is scrumdiddlyumptious. My go to is the gorgonzola steak, Brussel sprouts, and Prosciutto and Burrata Salad.

Fabulous chic restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating, outstanding service, food is amazing, simply delectibly delicious. Specialty cocktails, wine and dessert offer a nice selection to choose from. Covid compliant makes for a comfortable, safe and delightful experience. Not to be missed in Bridgehampton!
6 star****** Ambience, great service and the food is out of this world !!!
Not as remembered. First time back in years. My wife and I used to come here almost exclusively for the Gorgonzola steak. It was a favorite. This time, it was a little tough, and fatty. Just eh... I ordered the Scottish salmon special.. As soon as it was placed in front of me, I could smell it was bad. I tasted it anyway, and sure enough, it was awful. The opposite of fresh. The waiter didnt seem surprised when I told him it wasnt good, and took away the plate so fast the tablecloth fluttered... Then I ordered the short ribs over crispy fries and mozzarella with aus jus sauce... Another special. Ive only had short ribs elsewhere that were extremely tender. These were tough, and seemed more like a brisket to me. The fries arent exactly crispy sitting in the sauce, and it was by far the saltiest dish Ive ever tasted. I couldnt get the salt taste out of my mouth the entire ride home. We were excited to get back here, but sometimes memories are better.

We were having a lovely evening until the short, chubby female manager whisked the table cloth out from under us and kicked us out of our table.. we spent almosr $1000 on this meal... absolutely ludicrous... our waiter was wonderful..she reuined a lovely evening...
Not very good at all. And certainly not worth the money. I had lunch with a friend the other day. Though the waitress was friendly, the french fries that came with my friends burger were obviously the frozen type. The mashed potatoes on the side of my filet mignon tips were barely warm. Also, visually, the place is a total dump. The skylights frame which was directly overhead was visibly rusted. The decor is old, tired and worn out. Looks like its straight out of 89. Id bet theyre closing or moving soon or something. The company obviously has no interest in this location.
Found Bobby Vans to be a great spot for lunch good variety on the menu from soups and salads to specialty sandwiches. Place tends to get crowded in the evening with a lively bar area. Steaks are ok but not world class. Service is attentive. Expect to pay Manhattan Prices for everything.
We had an outstanding overall experience at Bobby Vans (Bridgehampton) last night. The waiter was personable and extremely attentive; the food was delicious, abundant, prepared to perfection and our steaks were as succulent as butter; finally, the dessert was beyond compare. All of this pleasure wrapped in a casual, comfortable environment that felt welcoming and appreciative of our patronage. The entire experience is near to impossible to beat, most especially in the very self-conscious Hamptons. Thank you to everyone at Bobby Vans!
Ribeye came as ordered black and blue and one rare steak knife had trouble cutting and not very tasty
The food is ok but I will never return to this restaurant or I will never recommend it. The morocan-french waiter felt offfened because he was confused with a Spanish speaking person. He never asked if we need wine or if the food was ok or if we need anything, NOTHING. He only showed up at the table to pick up the order and later to ask if we want dessert. He was rude even after I personally complained to the manager. The place is also very loud. Never again, there are many good restaurants in the Hamptons where the staff is great and the food fantastic.
Caring staff that do their very best to accommodate during this most trying Covid time. Food is always quality and presented appetizingly.

If you can get over the ridiculous noise level, look beyond mediocre service and staff with an attitude you can enjoy the most delicious porterhouse steak you will ever eat! The BEST! My friend sent her Moscow Mule back, it was in a wine glass and tasted nothing like a mule...the waitress actually told us that the bartender was going to be mad, as if we cared! They all need customer service training.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Ive been coming to the Hamptons for years but had never tried the famous Bobby Vans that I pass each time I drive out. We (party of 3) decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. After being seated promptly we waited about 15 minutes for our server who only arrived after one of us got up and went to the host stand and complained. We had waited so long...now going on 20 minutes that we gave our entire order drinks and all on the first visit. The menu looked good despite the steaks being over $50. We all ordered cocktails, a first course and fish for our main. The overall food quality is POOR, served at room temperature with no flavor. The caesar salad is basically the same as the $1.99 slop you would get at a airport Applebees except at Bobby Vans its 16x the price. Before we could even finish our tiny first course a waiter from the kitchen shows up with our 3 mains. They just sat it all on the table while we finished but not before holding an auction asking us who ordered what. By now we were used to this kind of service because they did the same thing with our drinks and our first course. We each remarked that the food was cold and had no flavor. We asked our waiter for more bread that only showed up after flagging down the busboy. Our water glasses remained empty the entire dinner. I was unable to finish my salmon because it was cold, fishy and undercooked. The only time we saw our waiter from the time our order was taken was when he dropped the $237 check. As we left I shared my feedback with the hostess and what seemed like the manager. They were insensitive and uninterested offering a cool sorry followed by what seemed like a eye-roll. I was so embarrassed since I suggested this place to my friends. Long story short, if youre hungry after a long drive from NYC and looking for dinner, stop at the McDonalds in Manorville for quality meats and service with a smile!
Lousey service and food is not always fresh. Sat at the bar for lunch. Ordered oysters on the half shell and the Asian salad. One of the oysters looked off and I alerted the bartender who did nothing to fix it. When the salad came it looked very small. A person sitting two seats down had the same exact order but was easily twice the size. I asked the bartender if it was the same thing. Yes acknowledged that is was. I joked that it looked like that person recived half of my order. He then said no....its fine and walked away. Terrible service atitude and inconsistant food. Try somewhere else.
Price fixe menu is a pretty good deal for a Hampton restaurant. Wedge salad was super good as well as chicken parmesan. Zak was our server, who was professional and personable.

I came here for lunch with a friend. The food was great, the selection was to my taste and large. We sat at the bar and the bartender was spectacular.

Horrible food. Nothing to do with the real Bobby Vans. We have been trying a fee times and is always the same issues: food preparation, food quality etc... service is good. Ambiance ok if you are 75 and over.

Okay so here on new years day. I usually dont write reviews but really to find a porter house so damn good... my wife said try the lobster cocktail I said ok and wow... so awsome.. our waiter great. To have or not to have... I had.. I will be baaak

Loud. Crowded. No attention from the staff. And literally couldnt eat my steak ... with the explanation being ... no kidding ... that its aged in mushrooms and the chef must not have cut it all away so I guess the bacteria is still there.
The French dip is fantastic. Lunch prices are a bit more tolerable than dinner. Filet mignon was very good as well.

The steak was overcooked even though I asked to be undercooked. It was rubbed with a sweet dry rub that ruined the taste of the steak. I didnt even get a steak knife until I asked for one. At these prices? Really?
Menu looked pretty much the same Ive been coming out to Montauk since I was three years old I came to Bobby Vans tonight to celebrate my 60th birthday because I love the restaurant I havent been there in a while I was disappointed with the Improvement so they say of the Interior I like the old Bobby Vans it had a better feel so I left

2022-05-09My wife and I went there this past Saturday prior to going toRadio City Music Hall to see theFranki Valli concert. We had a wonderful dining experience. The food was very good, service by Oscar great and the place was comfortable and roomy. For the area the prices were reasonable.

2022-07-05My wife and I loved the food, drinks and service. We just passed by on the 4th of July and decided to stop for a bite. Food was amazing! The wait staff on point because u didnt have to wait for anything. I think they would have carried me to the bathroom if I asked.

2022-05-25One of the best atmospheres and steakhouses in East End! Premier spot for lunch and/or dinner. Bring a group or just a date and enjoy! Just be sure you make a Reservation (preferably for Dinner service as it can get quite busy) especially in the Summer months!! Buon Appetito!!!

2022-02-20Food was so bad. I literally got a bad stomach ache Atmosohere very much if you arent a regular, youre treated like third rate citizen. I went there for 20 years it was great! I would not recommend it if you want to be treated well. And if the owner wants to know why this is happening, go there yourself and order food, youre rushed out the door for the next people. This is not the way to be in the hospitality industry. Its a joke how all the people complain but dont have the guts to tell the lady who acts like shes the owner. Terrible attitude. Plus everyone agrees its just a place to go and be seen. Its not the way it use to be. Very sad and disappointing. Maybe if they get friendlier front people and new youthful bartenders I would give them another chance. For now I stay home or get Chinese dont need to be stressed out in that noise unfriendly atmosphere.Worse service rush and get out. Then they purposely drop water on you and make it its an accident and dont even get you towels.The lady who sits you down is very unaccmodating, abrupt and rude . Makes you feel like youre not welcomed. The place has changed. If your steak is not cooked properly, dont bother to ask for it to be redone. They take it off the check and make you wait one hour for something else. Phoney atmosphere. Its all about who you are and how you tip. I would say go to a finer classier place like east Hampton grill where they love your business and are genuinely concerned about your satisfaction. Oh I forgot ......dont bother getting Harrys salad. Its a rip off. Especially if you share it. They give you less and nothing in the bowl. One bacon bit, hundred onions a tiny piece of tomatoe, a smelly piece of shrimp sliced in half and no dressing. It was very very disappointing. Main reason I went there for that salad.May Bobby rest in peace and never know how terrible his place has gotten. Too bad the wanna bees keep it in business . Yes they do a lot of business, but its the wanna bes and pretentious people. The bar tenders are only nice to the regulars and theyre short tempered and very unapproachable. Just like when you walk in youre looked at up and down. Nasty place. Go somewhere else even burger King you get much better service

2019-06-11Are you looking for a thoroughly enjoyable and delicious evening from start to finish? Yes, then head on over to Bobby Vans of Bridgehampton. For starters, there is a charming decor.The menu is impressive from the raw bar, clams, oysters, cheeses, soups, and this is just the beginning. They have nightly specials as well as a healthy choice of salads, beef, lamb, chicken, veal, shellfish, and even whole fish. Tonight we were a party of four and selected the Lobster Bisque, Clams Casino, Caesar Salad and Oysters on the Half Shell. Each was fresh and flavorful. For dinner, we opted for a 2.5 lb Lobster, 21 oz Bone-in Rib-eye, Halibut topped with Lobster and the Veal Chop. Our sides included mashed potatoes, roasted baby carrots, and a melange of roasted root vegetables. Truly a meal fit for royalty. For dessert, we enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake plus several glasses of Grappa, Irish Coffee, Green Tea, and a Godiva Kiss. We were the last to leave and most likely to return.

2021-08-24Never go to this place!I found a - very well roasted - fly in my food. I politely called the waiter and showed him the poor, cooked, dead fly in the middle of my food - after I had eaten half. He took my plate to the manager. Few seconds later she came to my table and said “we’re sorry about your experience but you have to understand you’re eating outside and these things happen” (To be fair, I was eating outside because it’s gorgeous these days) BUT this poor little friend looked crispy and well marinated in the juices of the dish, that fly didn’t just fall on the plate! I pointed this out to the manager and she replied “whatever” right before bringing me my check.Mistakes happen, and in a busy restaurant some details are missed, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of empathy or concern that I received from the manager. Not ever coming back to this place, and you shouldn’t either.

2021-11-15Atmosphere was good. As expected. I loved the restaurant in downtown Manhattan and thought that the food here would be as good. Lobster bisque soup was outstanding but ribeye steak was a big letdown. The cook on the steak was done medium rare as requested but seasoning was subpar. Very little flavor, char, etc. Drastically lacked any sort of flavor.
