Bought a couch, the arm of the couch broke within the first month of normal use. They suggested a credit card for monthly payments, the company they suggested was horrible and tried to charge me an extra $300. I was able to talk them back down to the original price after an hour of conversations, but they would not acknowledge the payments I already made on the couch. (3 months of payments) Meaning the total I paid for this couch cost me $100 more then agreed to in the store. Its not a huge amount of money but I felt taken advantage of with this whole process. I will never buy furniture from them again.
I had a broken leg on the new couch I bought. Customer service was great even though it took a while to get my issue resolved. The representative, Christina, that helped me worked very hard to resolve my issue and got everything taken care of for me. I wish I could give her 10 stars. Thanks Christina for all your help!!!!
The worst experience since day one, nothing but delays on orders, recliner I purchased broke within 2 days of use & they refused to give me a refund. I was stuck with a store credit & forced to order other items from them that I would not have if I was given a refund. The quality of the furniture for the price paid is lacking & they do not bend policy to accommodate the customer. I will never buy nor recommend Bobs furniture in the future !
My wife and I went to Bobs on Staten Island yesterday. Our salesman was Greg who gave us just the right amount of help, not at all pushy, but there when we needed him. We purchased a 3 piece sectional for our basement, the price was right. Stand by for delivery and durability reviews!
Alpha S., a Sales Associates help us in a professional manner and tried to offer us the best deal, even when we only wanted a sofa. Many places we visited before did not care about our needs, I guess because we only wanted to buy a sofa, not a complete living room furniture. But Alpha treat us like we were an important customer even when we was to going to spend less. Great service.
Its sad. We had a great experience with our first purchase. Then on the second, our coffee table got delayed from October to November to December to now February. We wanted it before the Christmas and the salesman guaranteed us that it will come before thanksgiving. We were reasonable and asked for a different table or for a discount on another table. Then they started to become rude. Therefore, cancelled our never delivering coffee table. Very poor customer care. Will never come back and will never recommend anyone for Bobs. Disappointed!

This place was really good I went to other places no one wants to be bothered I had to struggle to get them and get involved over here the girl went out of her way sat with me until she helped me find exactly what I want help me find a reasonable price bed didnt try to sell me something expensive it was a really good experience at the store
I was expecting to pay $3,500 for a sectional I seen on their website but wound up paying $4,800 for a different sectional because I was told that the sectional I wanted was discontinued and now all they sell is the Sofa and Loveseat. I would like to know why would this company advertise merchandise on their website that they no longer sell? Isnt that illegal? Bait and switch? I dont know. I wonder what wouldve happened if I ordered the sectional I wanted online.
I don’t usually write reviews, however, the service that I received at Bob’s located in Staten Island was exceptional and left me feeling as if it was the least that I could do. In short, my experience was wonderful. The manager and staff were extremely helpful and In the end, I purchased the Luxe living room set, a matching dining room set and a fireplace. I honestly could not be happier!!! If you’re in the market for furniture, I highly recommend this location.
I needed a new sleeper sofa so went to the new Bob’s showroom near me..The salesperson who greeted me, Alpha, was wonderful..He showed me the sofa I had seen and a few others. He was so patient (I kept texting my daughter throughout my visit to help with the decision.). I hate furniture shopping because I always feel so pressured and confused. Alpha explained everything thoroughly, explaining all of my options and stood back to let me make my decisions. It was a pressure free worry free experience because of the professionalism of the sales person, Alpha. I had never bought anything from Bob’s before, but I will certainly buy other pieces from Bob’s in the future. Excellent customer service.
Purchased a couch from Bobs, and it broke within a year after normal use. After Goof Proof refused to cover the accidental damage, I entered this store further attempt to get the couch repaired. The salesman stated that the couch I own is no longer produced, and they would instead offer me store credit. I was appreciative and happy, accepted the credit, and decided to use the credit on a loveseat. They delivered the loveseat shortly after.More than a month later, I get a call: the manager stated that they had made a mistake, and failed to notify me that a credit means that they would have to remove the old couch. They stated that they now needed to come and pick up one of the two couches. One salesman, one manager, and two delivery men all were under the impression that they would be simply dropping off a new couch. Despite acknowledgment of THEIR mistake, I am being harassed and threatened with people showing up at my house.Do NOT bother with this store or their staff. They will tell you what you want to hear and then you will pay the price down the line. Not to mention that their furniture is cheap, poorly made, and will almost certainly fail within a short time period.
The service was nothing less than amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment our purchase was complete our rep alpha made sure we left with no unanswered questions. Anything he did not know off the top of his head he made sure he found out and he actually helped my vision come to life as far as placement for the furniture. Definitely recommend Bob’s furniture the goof proof option was amazing and the furniture as well as the mattresses were great prices and of quality furniture.

Came here about a month ago to check out some furniture but I wasn’t ready to buy yet because the floor needed to be done first. Met with the sales associate Amber who was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Came back today to finally make my purchase and made sure to meet with Amber again. Great experience overall appreciate all the time Amber took to help me get what I needed.

I went to bobs on Staten Island since I just recently bought a house and had no furniture whatsoever! Tyler was so attentive and helpful. He worked with me and helped me pick out exactly what I wanted even when I was being a little difficult because I’m picky! He worked with me, helped me and got me exactly what I wanted. My delivery date was very far for my bedroom set but as I said tyler is the best and he was on top of it! He gave me updates of when it would be available and got me the soonest possible date it would arrive. I finally got my bedroom set and couldn’t be happier. Tyler even checked on me a day later to see if I was satisfied. He knows customer service and what he’s doing. If I need anything else I hope he’s there to help me!!
I love Bobs and have bought several items from them online. Today I went into the new Staten Island store looking for a new couch and was greeted right away by Amber. She was great, easy to talk to and answered all questions and I walked out with a new recliner as well. So if you ever in the area ask for Amber

The best experience hands down from the minute myself and family walked through the door and greeted by the front staff to meeting Daniel who was waiting at the front to introduce himself and help us find what we were looking for. Daniel made us feel at home and comfortable, professional, knowledgeable and at the same time down to earth and considerate of our needs. Those needs being an adjustable bed and mattress for my father who I care for, also an automatic lift recliner. My teenage daughter also needed a new bed. Daniel walked us through all the options all the while keeping our Individual needs in mind, from the comfort for my daughter to the safety for my dad. Also then expediting a smooth and convenient delivery process. Furthermore, Daniel introduced all financial/payment options to me including Acima lease to own option. The employees at Acima who are on site in store which was very convenient were also beyond professional, knowledgeable and made my experience a quick no nonsense smooth and stress free process. I am a prior Bobs customer over the years, I have in more recent years purchased elsewhere. However, I’ve got to say, I am pleased with the new Staten Island location and all of its employees and management I’ve met today 3/4/21. I will be coming back to see Daniel for any of my furniture needs and will be recommending him and the Staten Island Bobs to my friends and family. We are looking forward to our delivery 😀
Ordered furniture because my daughter found pieces she really liked. One piece came fairly quickly, second took a month and a half and arrived damaged, and the third has not come yet. The first customer service person I spoke to was not helpful. Went to the store and it was closed but with associates inside even though they were supposed to be open. Had a text conversation with another customer service associate and I’m finally getting the damaged pieces replaced and moved up delivery for the third piece. I will not shop at Bob’s again.
This is the worst furniture purchasing experience I’ve ever had. They were extremely backed up with deliveries and stock, when my bed set finally came it was missing a piece that they weren’t going to tell me about. I had to go to the store and speak with the manager who couldn’t care less about it in which he stated it appeared to have broken in the warehouse and they didn’t communicate that to them.. like really? So i asked when will it be delivered snd he stated he set s delivery date for the following week. The following week & day gets here, i call out if work & guess what? No delivery. I AGAIN went to the store, spoke with the manager who couldn’t care less and said the date was never set. What do you mean??? I was so annoyed over how much the manager didn’t care and set a new delivery date. The dresser eventually gets delivered and mind you i still don’t have my mattress, we ordered the whole bedroom set new mattress and all. The representative that helped us called and stated they had a delivery date for the mattress the following week, i missed the called so when i called back in half hour, he stated the delivery dates were taken & now i have to wait until may. Okay.. fine. So now as if we haven’t been through enough with this place, the mattress finally gets here and the delivery people asked where our foundation / box spring was.. I’m like they never sold us one. WITH ALL THE STUFF WE BOUGHT THEY DID NOT INCLUDE A FREAKING FOUNDATION LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. So i went BACK to the store, spoke with the manager, Remember him? Who doesn’t care? Yea well as if he didn’t care less before he didn’t even handle the situation he referred me to the sales specialist that sold me the set and mattress who Ofcourse did nothing to accommodate me. If zero stars was a rating i would have went with that. Highly unsatisfied
This was our first time shopping at Bobs at the new location in Staten Island, Nick S. was our sales rep and he was incredible. He wasn’t pushy and he let us shop around before we decided what to buy. He was very knowledgeable and also showed us all the cool features of the furniture we chose. When you shop at this location make sure you see Nick S.
Went into the new Bob’s Furniture store in Staten Island and everyone us super friendly. I was greeted by Kieth at the door and the associate that helped me was Alpha. He’s the best. Go visit him. Super patient guy. I walked in not knowing what I wanted and helped me through it all. Thank you Alpha and thank you Bob’s.
I don’t usually write reviews but had to with this experience went to bobs on Staten Island to buy a dinette set for my house. I was put with the guy nick savoca there and he was awesome had every answer to every question, very patient and was honestly one of the most helpful salesman I have had. thank you so much and I will definitely be back when we make the move !!!!
I was extremely happy with my experience at BOBs. I was only looking honestly but left a customer. I was able to find something that matched my overall look but was also comfortable. Nick was extremely helpful in showing me all the great options and securing my Luxe sectional and mattresses for my daughters and still found moments to be sweet to my rambunctious 4 year old. Bobs has great functional furniture and amazing customer service.
Jemima was so incredibly helpful. She was extremely patient, and walked my mom and I through every option that worked within our budget and requirements. We left extremely happy with a beautiful new bed, mattress and box spring. She is definitely an asset to the Staten Island team! We will definitely be back specifically for Jemima’s help. To say about this store there are friendly. The sales rep I recommend is John R. He went above and beyond making sure that with a mattress and bedroom set that I wanted and in the end. I am satisfied with my purchase. I am glad John R help me because he was friendly, very helpful and straightforward.
My couch delivery was FAST and affordable ! I ordered it that Tuesday and received the couch delivered to my house by Friday . This is rare in these covid times ( i ordered a couch from Ashleys and after THREE MONTHS of waiting i canceled the order) .My only issue is that trying to get in touch with customer service in this place is ridiculous . When you call the local number they route you to a call center out of the country and those associates have to communicate with the store and half the time they don’t even answer them . So most of your time is spent on hold while the associate communicates with the team at the local store. I tried to return a missed call to schedule my delivery and it honestly would have been resolved in less time if I had driven to the store and back!
Came in to get a sleeper sofa and desk to transform an extra room at my parents house. Howard greeted us at the door and was so sweet and helpful as we browsed and checked out our options. He was transparent about delivery time and wait. He got us in and out and on our way In less than 45 minutes. If you come to the location be sure to ask for Howard!
I’m so glad BOB’s on Staten Island. It’s very convenient now. The staff is excellent, always there and willing to help with a smile. Nick was ab excellent salesman. He stayed with me for the duration of my stay giving me undivided attention assisted with making decision and very patient. I will always be a BOB’s girl just because of the service alone.
I purchased a sofa online after confirming with a representative that the item was temporarily out of stock and would be available by July. Item is Avenue Sofa. After more than 2 months waiting, a Bobs representative from the Staten island location notified me that the item has been discontinued. So as you can see Bobs is a mess and they have no control as to what they have in their inventory. Ive just wasted 2 months waiting for a piece of furniture that will never arrive.
Item i was looking for 2 to 3 month delivery.Looking at your response Ive seen a house built in less then 2 to 3 months. So your delivery is the hold up i see is it that you get your furniture from over seas. Built for pennys on the dollar. If thats so I will only by American.
Made a purchase on 4/16/21 was told loveseat was on back till late May early June. Email after email telling me mid June, late June and now early July. Went to the store for a refund then told the cash I PAID with I would get in A CHECK 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS!!!! Never again will I purchase from this store ever again!!!!!
The sales man I had was great I told him what I wanted he was straight up with me and said it was not in stock and than I picked out another one and it was in stock and said the one I wanted was not worth it and than he helped me out with a new mattress,I give Greg the highest respect for not having me buy something I wont be happy with
I have nothing but nice things to say about this bob’s furniture store . Everybody was so helpful and made sure everything was good with what me and my husband wanted to purchase . They answered any questions we had and our salesperson ken helped us with making our purchase and was such a nice person . Another person by the name of Nicole helped us with breaking everything down with how much our payments were gonna be and she also answered any questions we had . Overall the staff there is so nice and welcoming when we walk into the store .

2021-12-31Before stopping in Bob’s, I went into Ashley’s home store. The prices in Ashely’s were horrible and the couches were so so. I decided to check out Bob’s and I’m happy I did! Nick helped us pick out the perfect couch for us and explained everything to us very well. He had a lot of patience and was very understanding of what we needed. The prices in Bob’s were much more reasonable and you get a lot more! Very good protection plans as well! If I need any more furniture I will be coming back here for sure!

2022-02-15I came to Bobs looking to replace my old bed frame. I was greeted by Nick S and he showed me the items in store and online. He was very friendly and at no point did I feel like he was pushing me to spend more than I planned on. He was also upfront with pricing for delivery and the warranty so I wasn’t in shock when we submitted the order. I ended up buying a bed frame that was less than what I budgeted for and added two matching night stands. I feel like I got a better value with that purchase. The next time I go buy furniture I will definitely be asking for Nick.

2022-04-19I recently visited this Bobs discount furniture to buy furniture for my bedroom and living room and was helped by a very nice man for several hours because my wife and I werent sure what we wanted.I really like this place and would recommend it. Very helpful and friendly staff.One recommendation I have for ordering from Bobs is to make sure that you order things that are in plenty of stock. Bobs stores dont have problems necessarily but the shipping and customer service departments do.

We were beyond satisfied with the furniture, the customer service , the manager cane over to make sure everything was going well! Excellent job! Highly recommended!

2022-07-06From the moment I walked in with my kids, I was happy to be there. Ken heard me out and walked me through everything that suited my needs for my small apartment. He was good with the kids too so it made shopping that much easier. I almost bought everything from Wayfair because Im not a fan of salesmen but Ken was low pressure and very informative. For as long as Im in the area, Bobs will be my store and Ken will be my guy. Cant wait to get my stuff in a few weeks.

2022-04-042 mins into walking in we were approached by Staff member Keith. To say he was helpfulIs an understatement, we gave him our budget and he we were very happy with our choice. After setting up our delivery date ( which was in 5 days) Keith brought over his manager to introduceUs. I’ve never felt so happy spending money. He gave us every little detail we needed to know, so thank you Keith we appreciate how helpful and kind you were. A people person for sure!!

My experience with them from the sales personal to the delivery personnel has been professional, and Courteous. The product quality is outstanding. I’ve referred numerous people who they themselves purchased and feel the same.5 stars from me!! Thanks Bob!

2022-07-08If I could leave zero stars I would! The worst company and the worst Customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I will never buy another piece of furniture from Bob’s not even a lamp! Furniture falls apart after just a couple of months. Replacement furniture just as bad. I was given the opportunity to choose a different set and received email after email pushing back the delivery date. The final date of delivery is now July 14, 2022 and it’s been since May of 2022. I have requested a refund and told flat out no. If I do not receive my furniture by July 14 as stated I will seek legal action for a refund. I have gone through this with Bob’s with every piece of furniture since October of 2021. No more chances! I have informed everyone I know to stay away from Bob’s! They are thieves!
