Update:Still love the vibe of this place, cool, fun and chill. Great music always playing. A pretty good lunch deal for 19.99. The service was lacking today. No one offered to refill our waters (until we asked at the very end, and after taking our order the waitress mainly left us alone). So good! Love this place! The vibe is fun, the energy is upbeat, the decor is vibrant! I had not been here since before the pandemic but it was as good as I remember if not better! Our waitress (Angie I believe) was friendly, attentive and checked in frequently (but not annoyingly). My friend and I enjoyed the Boozy Brunch--the mimosas were tasty and flavorful! And I loved the beer-soda mix (Refajo Columbiano)! The Arepa Brava!! was one of the best dishes Ive had in a while! I asked for mine on a sweet arepa--what a delight! I would definitely recommend it!Do note that there was construction going on in one part of the restaurant and it was very loud and smelled of dust when we went for brunch today at 11am but once we moved out to the back patio it was just as much fun and the food was as delicious as I had always remembered!
Another neighborhood eatery that also provides outside and garden dining. Ive eaten there about 4 or 5 times. So I guess you can say I enjoy the food and drinks. And I do 🙂. And the pricing is affordable. I love Latin food!...If you are ever in the vicinity, its worth a check out... ✅
I can’t never get enough of this place. This was my first time going back after a couple of years. The coconut martini was amazing. They added a birria empanada appetizer to the menu, it was delicious. Our server Edwin was very professional and attentive which made our night that much more special. Thank you! I will definitely will be coming back!
Food was pretty good. Wait staff was pleasant. There wasnt a long wait to be seated. Very spaced out which was a plus. 1st time here, normally a regular at the sister restaurant Miti Miti. But so happy we decided to switch it up. Good food, good music, calm environment
Words cant explain how perfect my meal here was. And our server Paula was so sweet! The frozen margarita and the empamada sampler was exquisite. My fav empamadas were the chicken and veggie, they were bursting with flavor. The paella I will admit was not the best one Ive ever had, but it was really good and had so many different meats and seafood in there, it was just delicious. They will definitely be seeing me again this summer. With their choice of indoor/outdoor seating, you cant go wrong.
We just had a wonderful experience with the catering from Bogota! The catering manager, Elena, did a fantastic job from start to finish! She helped with planning our party and today - the day of the party arrived on time for set up. She helped serve the guests, was personable and talked to everyone. Elena was efficient and hard working and helped clean up, store leftovers and was overall a pleasure to work with. The food and sangria were delicious and fresh it was a great party! If we have any other gatherings I will not hesitate to reach out!
This place disappointed me. They take soo long to bring food out. I told them no cheese on my tacos & they brought them out with cheese. Took another 20 mins to make food & brought them back out with cheese AGAIN. Service is super slow on a Saturday at 530!! The black beans were really good though & the guacamole.
Really good drinks... and the service was good too. The food was good but the downside was they got our order wrong and by the time the correct food was brought to our table, we were ready to leave. It was a VERY hot day and their AC wasnt working, so that was part of it also.
I will definitely return for more of the items on menu. I had chimichurri chicken tacos....not very flavorable and bit dry. Also we ordered the Ropa Vieja....that was delicious. 3 dip appetizers which was just gauc, bean dip and Pico de Gallo. The price was definitely fair and the meal sizes where appropriate. I believe in 2nd chances so I will be trying other dishes!
The portions here were much larger than expected! I didn’t realize how much food was on the plate until I put it in a to-go box. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa and was not disappointed. Food was well seasoned and the mojitos were pretty good too. The workers were very polite and offered great service. Would recommend for anyone that wants a large meal and a taste of Colombia.
Had so many open reservations for a Friday. Hostess was extremely nice. Food came out extremely fast. Needless to say the food was PHENOMENAL. Menu is very comprehensive. The outdoor patio was very cute. Everything 10/10, definitely worth the 40 minute train from Manhattan.
We got here by accident, looking for a place on the dinner.Very nice restaurant, indoors and outdoors space. Food very good, Columbian cuisine delicious. The service is very nice with experience. I will definitely come back here more than once.I recommend this restaurant.
I’ve been here twice, once late night and once for brunch. The food is incredible and there are so many creative dishes (like the arepa benedict!). They currently have outdoor seating and limited capacity indoor seating, as well as an indoor back patio. Staff are friendly and drinks are really good too. I also highly recommend getting the dessert sampler. You won’t regret it!
Customer service was very poor. Wait staff had an attitude. The Caucasian man who walked around talking about his staff was unprofessional. He went to all the Caucasian tables and asked them how they were doing, but skipped every one of color. Always remember to treat everyone equally because you never know who you’re serving. Food was mediocre. My mom was from Bogota and thankfully I was able to experience good food. The food is very Americanized. Improve your customer service.
The patio of Bogota Latin Bistro is well-decorated with exotic & lively ambiance. The options on the various are various and there is weekend brunch available. We had their Fried Calamari as appetizer and Bandeja Paisa with 1/2 chicken & blood sausage (+$6) to share with a group of two. The portion was great with reasonable price and we even packed home some leftovers. The Fried Calamari was our favorite, which was well fried, juicy with crispy layer. The Bandeja Paisa, which is a grilled platter, was decent but the chicken was kind of dry. The blood sausage was a surprise, delicious and tender.
My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years! While all have our favorite drink (their coconut mojito hits the spot... every. time!) and go to meal, weve never had a subpar meal or disappointing experience.Shout out to Jessie the hostess for being incredibly personable and efficient!
Way overpriced! First and last time coming here. I came upon this restaurant on instagram and saw the delicious posts, and I promise from now on I will never again be fooled. I expected more from this place. I came hungry but food took a while. My plate looked sad. I ordered medium rare steak, I got a over cooked steak it was so chewy it hurt my teeth. Arepa was a bit dry. Its nice they have Colombian sodas, but they were too pricey.
Had a wonderful experience at bogota Latin Bistro earlier this week, customer service was great food delicious I order the chipotle salmon it came with a green sauce and a spicy red sauce what added a great touch was the green sauce on the salmon it’s delicious highly recommend, the guacamole came out super delicious and fresh, calamari are well seasoned and the EMPANADAS Mmmm yummy try the guava with cheese with the sweet sauce DELICIOUS!!!
Great food, awesome vegan options, such a good atmosphere, and the service was lovely. We got a tasty virgin piña colada, a fantastic tofu chimichurri dish, and a delicious vegan bandeja paisa. To be clear they have the meat version of all of this stuff and more which Im sure are excellent too!!! The maduros and tostones were so tasty and even just the side of black beans was so rich and flavorful. The outdoor dining was super fun with great music on the evening and very cute decor. They have a nice happy hour most days, too, if youre headed there for drinks. This is definitely a great spot!
The food has lost its spark. The empanadas WERE a staple, they were so juicy so fresh so crisp…but the flavor was not giving! I’m not sure if we’re served old empanadas? But they definitely don’t taste the same anymore. I ordered a garlic chicken and it was so DRY! My friend ordered bbq ribs and it was so bad… the dish looked flavorful but once we tasted it was so salty. One of my favorite things about this place was the presentation, but this time it was different, our dishes were so sloppily presented. Yikes.. what is going on?? On top of that our food took forever to come. I’m disappointed because this was my go to place and I have brought my friends here to try out but wow such a disappointment. Not sure if they’re under new management?? Or changed ingredients?? Or changed the chef? whatever it is pls bring back the flavors of bogota. Perhaps the cook was angry bc it definitely was not cooked and presented with love. Service could be nicer next time too.
Never want to go there again! I was standing in the take out area and the server who wasnt that busy doing anything had me stand there for 15 mins. Then another Spanish group of 4 walks in the restaurant and she begins to serve them and then seated them.Next, she does acknowledge me and says she be right with me then walks outside to give another table their drink. There were 3 servers to one table of 3 ppl on outside. Why she refuses to take my order, dk , but I know I didnt feel properly served when I walked in or acknowledged in respectful manner as a customer. There prices have gone sky high for 3 fish tacos from $15 to $25, side order ..
Came to buy some delicious Colombian for and for my surprise these is what i get. The rice has 0 flavor. And the Rotisserie chicken its awfully dry. I dont recommend this place.it took me 45 min to get here and other 45 to go home and expect to have a nice lunch but what a disappointment. 0/10.
Good food. But the service was eh. They barely came to the table, I know it was late but come on. They charged me for guacamole That I never got and when I said it all they said back was oh sorry. No refunding my money nothing. And I believe they charge my card twice so now I have to call my bank. Smh
New favorite place near Atlantic Terminal! Went here with a couple of friends at night and my god it was amazing. We didn’t have to wait long because we made a reservation so I definitely suggest doing that. The food was amazing. We got the empanada sampler to start and you couldn’t go wrong with that. I got the plantain crusted chicken breast with a side of rice and cabbage slaw. My friends got the pulled pork. For dessert we got the churros with dulce de leche and chocolate dips. Portions were humongous! Flavors were spot on. This place is also LBGT friendly which was appreciated.
The ambience was fun, place decorated nicely, lots of color. The food was ok. Being Peruvian married to a Colombian the food just did not meet my expectations. Way overpriced...who knows why?! I ordered ajiaco thinking Bogota is in the restaurant name, it should be great...total disappointment. Overall I was not impressed, mainly due to the food. The waiter was nice and professional.
One of the ways to establish the authenticity of a place is the amount of local customers who visit. This place is always filled with many Latinos from all over South America. The energy and service was amazing. The food was equally good along with a variety of drinks.
Great lively environment. Went there for brunch. Had the brunch paella. Was not disappointed. The flavors were great. Served with a fried egg on top with a gooey yolk (make sure you let that bad boy run all over your rice). The plantain stuffed french toast dish is a thing of beauty. Dont question it and just get it. Share it with your group as a dessert. Thank me later. Also, i recommend the iced mojito coffee. That was a satisfying drink. Oh and of course....get yourself a side of chicarron.
The food at Bogota Latin Bistro is top notch. The flavors of Colombia (my home country) are perfectly matched here at this Latin restaurant. We had the Bandeja Paisa (a must if you want an authentic Colombian dish) and it was perfect. The beans were amazing, the half chicken was juicy and seasoned so well, the cabbage salad was fresh and zesty, the plátanos were sweet and delicious, and everything else just tasted like heaven. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also the staff was amazing and very professional. 10/10!
Since when gratuity was automatically applied to your check for 2 people? Sat on the terrace, ordered 2 margaritas, very slow service and when we asked for the check, $4.8 was automatically added as gratuity… this is not gratuity, this is a tax that goes into the restaurants pockets. Unacceptable!
When: Friday at 10pm (after a Nets game)Party Size: 2Fried Calamari $15: 6/10Probably frozen. The batter was fried too long and looked extra dark as if the frying oil was old. Wouldnt get this again.Fish Tacos $19.50: 9/10These were amazing. Lightly fried and the fish was super tender.Service: 8/10Seated right away. The waiter took drink and food orders right away.Ambiance: 7/10Upbeat Latin vibes.Overall: 8/10Im coming back to try more food on the menu.
Fantastic place. Came here with my girlfriend last week. Its one of her favorite restaurants and I see why! The arepas were delicious, so was the chorizo. The pork chicharron was pretty good too. The chicharron de pollo was fantastic. The yellow rice was great. The tostadas were good. The salsas were awesome. And these empanadas, they were to die for. She liked her frozen margarita as well!
The brunch on sundays was great. The steak was well seasoned, juicy and tender. The eggs were scrambled the way I like them with cheese on top..and the home fries and and salad made the meal complete! The mango mimosa was set it all off! Have the special that allows you to drink as many mimosas for a hour and a half!🍹🍹🥩🍳
Amazing food, check. Chill vibe, check. Good music, check. Great service, check. What more can you ask for? I wish theyd be open later. This little unassuming place presently surprised me with good authentic Colombian food and atmosphere - you will not be disappointed.
Love Bogota Latin Bistro!!! Stays open late for a late night dinner date or drinks at the bar. The layout and design of the space is very creative, colorful and festive. The service is top class everytime! You can tell they take pride in branding themselves with providing GREAT service to their customers. On top of that... the food is good. Havent had enough of their dishes to give a full evaluation but from what Ive had it was good. Drinks, A++ thumbs way up!!!
My first Latin food was such a success! The cheese bread is sooo good and it’s a mush!! The serving is a lot so my friend and I had to take home half of the meal. Actually we were full after having plantain chips lol. I’m falling in love with this place and I would recommend to try if you live in the neighborhood :)
I had a wonderful meal, the tostones were absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the rice and beans and the cilantro mashed potatoes. The margaritas were very fresh!I also enjoyed the ambiance from the music and the amazing art and pictures all around. Just be prepared to wait a bit especially Saturday night. We waited approximately 20 minutes for a table.
Very good food which is reasonably priced considering the large portion size. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the restuarant is very loud inside due to the bar area blasting music, but otherwise service was good and all else was enjoyable.Take-out is 5 stars and the pork speaks of itself.
I ordered a Veggie Plate through Door Dash & selected my known allergies as they have the options to do so. Unfortunately that was ignored b/c my food was prepared with dairy and gave me food poisoning. I am currently on day 3 of an awful stomach illness and I am also a breastfeeding mother. This food has also affected my milk which in turn is affecting my baby’s stomach as well. I strongly believe it was the Cilantro Mashed Potatoes dish but the entire meal could’ve been unsafe to eat.EDIT: Turns out I actually have severe FOOD POISONING and my symptoms are at its worst today. NEVER eat where health and safety isn’t a concern.
On January 20th I called to place an order for pickup. I was told by Jessie on the phone that they cannot take pick up orders on the phone. She stated I could either order through several different apps or in person in the restaurant. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and have never heard of such a thing. There are only three reasons I can think of as to why this would be the policy is;1- They are afraid someone will order and not pick up leaving them stuck with the order. If thats the case an easy fix is to only allow call aheads if they pay in advance. Every normal restaurant does this.2- The second reason which also makes no sense would be that the cant be bothered to spend 30 seconds taking your card info.3- They dont trust there own employees to take card info.Regardless of what it is its counterproductive. I was driving home and I wanted to order ahead so the food would be ready when I arrived. Instead I head to pull over to order on an app because the restaurant cant be bothered with taking an order over the phone. When I arrived to pick up the order I asked to speak to the manager who I was told was Areef. The hostess asked what the issue was and I asked if I could just speak to the manager. She picked up the phone and after a minute on the phone with whoever it was she was talking to she said he was at a meeting and couldnt speak to me.Again working in restaurants for over 15 years meeting are never held during the dinner rush (this was at 630 pm). What if someone in the restaurant needed a manager? Would no one be available? He was simply dismissing me. If the owner is reading please find out what meeting was occurring at that time and why your floor was left unattended. These 2 situations alone are part of restaurant 101. If they cant get these things right how can anything else work.
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in the city from Connecticut and we were looking for some place different. My boyfriend is actually from Bogota and was so happy with our food and said it felt like he was back home. We shared a steak empanada and the aji sauce was amazing! I wanted more. Tostones, sancocho, ajiaco and the drinks were amazing! I was so happy with our meal and service. We will definitely be back with our friends.
My husband I went in on a Friday night the music was great, service was good too so we decided to come back the next day on Saturday for brunch to try the food ….. the food was not good , not fresh . I ordered steak and eggs and the steak was rubbery , I burped that food for HOURS ! My husband had the chicken and rice and it was definitely not fresh and chicken was dry. He didn’t enjoy his food either made him sick. We both felt sick after eating at this restaurant! I wouldn’t recommend this place to eat only to come by in a Friday night for a drink and listen to music.
Coming from Ecuador I must confess that its hard for me to find a place with good authentic Latin cuisine, I have family in Colombia and I definitely know how their exquisite meals taste like. I recently came here with a coworker and we tried their wheat and corn empanadas, yummy! Moreover, their dessert Dulce de Tres Leches was heaven, I felt like I was in paradise. We are planning a gathering for my boss birthday. Its not only about their menu but also the location is great, right next to the Barclays Center Stadium, I will visit this restaurant more often, me encantó!!
Was in the area and was in the mood for some great colombian food.Lets begin with the fact that I found a thin hair on my meat. Pretty disturbing, I was disgusted honestly. The Manager came and offered to replace the order, but thinking about now I shouldve just requested the meal be deducted from the bill.Furthermore the food was mediocre, pretty plain, nothing to be excited over. The rice flavorless, beans werent seasoned. The steak was probably the only good thing about the meal.Very pricey, and they add an automatic 20% gratuity. I paid nearly $200 for 3 steak plates and 2 appetizers & 4 drinks. That food was really not worth that much money.Only thing I like was the server. She was very pleasant and attentive!
I went here for my birthday and sat in the backyard patio area (it is enclosed so even though it was raining we were fine) but there also curbside and indoor seating. They seem to be understaffed at the moment so you might have to wait a while before you can place your order but our waiter was very helpful, answering all the questions we had about the menu items. The food itself was amazing. The coconut shrimp starter was great, as was the paella I shared with my mom (its a great value, you could easily split it with 3 people if you wanted). The price was reasonable for a restaurant of this quality, about 50 dollars per person. 20 percent gratuity is included in the cheque though, so be warned. All in all a good time.Obligatory note: the street this restaurant is on is closed to cars during the day, meaning youll have to get out on an intersecting street near the corner and walk 30 feet or so to the door. If you plan on taking an Uber there or have elderly or disabled people with you who have trouble walking plan accordingly.
Overall, the food was okay. The Chicken Sancocho had pork as well, which was not mentioned in the menu.Plus, they automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill even for parties of two. I do not have any problem with tipping, however, I consider that the customer should have the option to adjust the tip based on their experience.
This is the my 2nd time dining in and the service was slow. I will say the food came out faster and my order was taken about 10 min after being seated which was an improvement from the last time I dined in. It took over 20 min to get water and for the order to be taken because only 1 girl was working the floor. By the way there is an automatic 20% gratuity which I feel is not right because of service received. After my food came the waitress never checked back in to see if I needed anything so I asked the manager for another drink. She came towards the end and I said I would like the check. She brought it but didnt come back after a while and ny then, I was done done. They were all just hudled in a corner. I have had issues with my meal when I ordered through Seamless but the food was good so I decided to dine in. But coming here twice and the service is still slow, they need to hire more staff to handle the crowd and be more attentive to earn that automatic 20%. Im not sure if I will give this place a third try. Super annoying and I gave them 4 stars because the food is great. Would have gotten 5 stars but the service sucks.
Food lack taste, poor service, and way to expensive. I am Colombian and loved food. This restaurant takes Covid very light, my table was dirty. The waiter was very unfriendly, food took a long time to be served, the food didn’t taste like anything from my country and it was very lamed.I do recommend the chicken empanadas, but everything else NO GOOD! Sorry to give such a bad review. Aside from bad service the waiter included his 20%tip in my final bill, didn’t have a chance to change it.If you are looking for Colombian cuisine, this is not the right place for it.
The service was horrible. I think its because there is an automatic charge of 20% gratuity. My daughter found a hair in her meal. My glass that my drink was served in was dirty with dried up mint leaves. When I asked to speak to the manager he lied and said to convey to me that he was busy, he failed to see that I was standing right behind him. Probably the worst experience I have had.
Food was absolutely amazing!! I try street corn and coconut shrimp pretty much everywhere I go and this was definitely the best!! I was hesitant to try this place at first when my fiancé suggested it but I am so glad we went!! One of my new favourite spots in Brooklyn!
Terrible service. Ordered delivery through Uber eats, not only prices are higher than in the restaurant but the order was missing one item (17$). Uber eats refused to refund, called restaurant, they said unless you pickup we can’t do anything but offered to sisal your manager. Waited 5 minutes, nothing, then they hand up. Called back - no one picks up. So upsetting. Ordered chips and guacamole($12) - guacamole is very good but not enough for the amount of chips. Chips are terrible cheap tortilla chips, some are bright green and bright red color, looked and tasted like some cheap stuff from deli. Ordered rice with chicken and portion was way less than last time.Quesadilla was good but super soggy because of spinach.Overall, waste of money. Overpriced but even Chipotle is better than this.
Great food. The chicken empanada were amazing crispy on the outside juicy inside. Bandeja Paisa w the skirt steak was delicious. Mango margaritas were awesome as well been here a couple of times never let down. I will be back again soon. The patio in the back is nice.
Food is always good... drinks are pretty awesome...especially the coconut mojito! But the service is not so good. I went to a table inside and was told I was next but the host let 2 tables in before me?! The last 2x Ive been I had issues with the service. The drinks seem to come after the appetizers... so does the silverware. Its always great when youre starving and you have to stare at your food for 5 minute and ask for utensils. Also since when is gratuity automatically added for a table of 2? The menu clearly says parties of 6 or more yet they add gratuity anyway 🤔 this place used to be better
Used to be better. Havent been there in about 10yrs. Service was poor. I ordered ceviche and they did not tell me they didnt have it until after everyone elses food came out and I inquired about my dish and the server ran back to the back to find out only to tell me they werent serving it yet. I ordered eggs and arepa instead and it was literally scrambles eggs with diced pieces of arepa...on top of it, they add their own 20% tip to the bill regardless of party size so they forced me to give them $30 in tip....I was very unhappy.
This establishment is not the same, maybe its under new management or new chef but the food is overpriced, the quality blah and taste horrible very salty and the chicken empanadas are very dry.I visited this establishment a twice this year for take out, on the first visit I left without placing the order due to the fact that no one acknowledged that I was standing waiting and when I got someones attention I was told on SEC which turned into 10 mins in which no one came to assist so I left.A few weeks later I was with a friend who had their empanadas before, shrimp, vegetable and those were great. Upon that visit I noticed there was a change in the menu they took the shrimp empanadas out and added chicken, we ordered the chicken and also vegetable empanadas and boy was that a mistake, the crust of the empanadas was dry and hard, the chicken was dry and very salty, the vegetable one was ok and I was not looking for ok, if Im making it at home Im expecting ok but my aim is for wow, great, this taste amazing, not just blah ok. and blah ok it what the establishment gave in term of customer service, food taste and quality. Not going back, would never recommend
The guacamole, vegan empañadas and beans are excellent. The rest of the food is basically okay but not particularly healthy. Staff needs to be more friendly. They make you feel like an assembly line - get you in, feed you, get you out. I used to like this place. Now it became just another business.
Amazing food! We tried multiple things on the menu and everything was really good. Drinks were strong, might not be to everyones liking but we appreciated the fact that they werent watered down. Overall we really enjoyed the vibe, food and drinks! Highly recommended!
The first time I went here the food was really good and tasty, now the food is very bland and the rice Taste like instant rice not like Latinos cooked rice. If the food was cooked with flavor and love like Latinos cook it would be way better. For the prices of the food it wasn’t worth it, for food that taste like nothing. Although the service is great.
Recent experience was so-so. I ate here with two Colombians, and they found the food uneven in quality, as did I. Very good sancocho and bandeja paisa, except for the below-average red beans; decent, unexceptional ajiaco; bad tostones, which they both thought seemed stale and reheated. Coffee was also not great.I did not like the mandatory 20 percent tip, but at least the waitress went out of her way to note it so I wouldnt accidentally tip twice. I probably wont go back anymore (I had better, but not incredible, experiences here twice in the past).
Love this place! I usually dont venture around the area too often for food, but I came here for dinner with a couple of friends on a Saturday night and I was so impressed. I saw this place had great reviews so I definitely wanted to try it. One of my friends actually came here before too and she said it was amazing.
I have been hoing to Bogata for many years. This is the first time I must say I was disappointed. I had to send my dish back, the meat was over cooked and the maduros were not as flavorful and a bit dry. The waiter was excellent and attentive therefore I gave three stars. Sadly disappointed in my meal.
Went on Saturday evening with my husband and another couple. We booked our table in advance and was seated at the time stated. That was a big plus for us. Staff was great! I dont know who the gentleman was that was walking around and talking to everyone but he made us feel extremely welcome. The atmosphere was great! Music on point, and the food was FANTASTIC. Ive been to this restaurant in the past during the early evening and it was nice, so we decided to take our friends and they loved it. We will definitely be returning. Oh yeah the drinks were outstanding!
Pricey and food just meh. Ordered an Ajiaco that did not taste at all authentic (more like a chicken soup) and a Sancocho that was also not at all authentic (I lived in Colombia for 15 years, btw). The empanadas... same. Its like someones attempt at Colombian cuisine with no experience and the wrong spices/ingredients. For all this, their pricing is very high, definitely not worth the experience. Wont be ordering again.
Amazing service from Johanna!!! She was so attentive to us. We came for boozy brunch and she let us know from the beginning that she would give us as many drinks as she could throughout the day. She also gave us amazing recs for food. The food was amazing! Very authentic! Honestly if I come back, which I definitely will, I will ask for her as my waitress!!! So amazing
Went here today and the overall the food was not what I expected of Colombian food, the rice was undercooked and extremely salty the meat was salty as well. The food was just over priced. I’ve went to other great Colombian restaurants but this one wasn’t one of them. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place.
I have to say The restaurant is nice the waiters were nice however I went for the food unfortunately it was not what I expected and its my second time here food flavors Are just not there yet food needs more flavor a little bit of salt but I understand The place is located in a gentrified area most people there dont know The difference between real Latin food and just food One More thing is way too expensive
HORRIBLE SERVICE! Went with a group of 15 after my best friend and her father ran the Brooklyn Half, we were late but called ahead to let the restaurant know. When we arrived at 11am, our table was not set up, after about 5-7 minutes they sat us. The waiter came around and took drink orders. Took him about 20 minutes to bring back all drinks. I order a hot chocolate and it was given to me in a PAPER CUP, while everyone else who ordered coffee received a mug. My friends mother ordered a cappuccino, it was cold. The waiter dropped the drinks off and disappeared for another 10 minutes instead of taking our food order. We were also the only table at this section at this time. After a time had passed we complained out the cappuccino and he left again to make another one, another 7-10 minutes when he finally appeared to take our food order. Now were here 45 minutes without our order being placed. Also other smaller tables had been seated. We placed our food order and waited, waited, waited. Now the 5 tables around all had drinks and food and some us were still waiting for a SOUP. while every other table had their soup. I spoke to the manager and his response was I just get here ill see what I can do. I expressed my frustration multiple times. After about 2 hrs we finally got our food. At the end the manager took of my hot chocolate and the cappuccino. He didnt come over to apologize again or anything. Truly disappointed by the service. If you can go somewhere else, it was not worth it + the food was not out of this world. If i could I would give this place 0 Stars, they did nothing to accommodate an upset customer with valid reasons. Also, need better managers to at least pretend to be sympathetic.
Went here on 7/11/20 and will not be going back for a long time. This use to be one of my favorite restaurants. Until my recent visit. 1st they are not practicing good sanitizing cleaning tables with Windex. They are using paper menus and collecting them. It’s ironic because they are serving the food in paper goods. Paella tasted terrible. Mussels were old. Arepa was not fresh and the drinks were way to strong. They also have the nerve to add a 20% gratuity which I was aware of before, but since they changed there menu it is no longer posted. False advertising!!! Especially when your sitting on a street or sidewalk. Even the patio is not worth it, it was to hot and tables are not 6ft apart. Wish I can give 0 stars.
I love this restaurant. Great atmosphere whether youre there for brunch or a party. The wait staff is always friendly. The food is well prepared. They have tons of gluten free options and a great understanding of dietary restrictions. Ive been here several times and always recommend it to friends.
Update 1/25/2021Check your orders before leaving with pickup or upon delivery. We ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup and they gave us Sancocho. They did refund us the money and the Sancocho was free. On my next order I made sure I checked and sure enough something was missing from the order. I still highly recommend them, great food, and great service.I eat here at least once a month sometimes twice. Favorites include the amazing chicken tortilla soup, comes with great sides that you can add based on your preference (avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream, taco strips, etc). Bandeja Paisa is also really good as is their Guava empanadas with warm cream cheese. You cant go wrong here.
I was extremely dissatisfied with this Colombian food I’ve been a fan of Colombian food all my life but honestly this place doesn’t come close to the Colombian food. I ordered the paella and I was completely disappointed the rice had no flavor extremely salty. I would recommend going anywhere but here.
Always loved this restaurant and always will. The food is really good, the drinks are good and the service is excellent. This is a great place to go with small or large parties, they will accommodate. However if you are going with a large party make a reservation. The restaurant isn’t that large but I love the intimate feel of the place.
Food was terrible. Gave me the wrong empanadas on a pickup order. Expensive for no reason. The beef taste stale. See, there is no quality or sanitation controls when there is takeout only service. Not worth it at all. They fell off since the pandemic. Not the bogota I remember from years ago. They were so confused about my payment also. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
Celebrated a coworkers birthday here. Service was excellent. Food was AMAZING I had coconut shrimp with Fired Plantains as my meal with a nice cold glass of Sangrita (RedWine) , dessert sampler was delicious. Menu has everything from seafood, appetizers, soup, salad. Would definitely return!
The best fried calamari Ive tasted and Ive tasted quite a few. Will go here just for the calamari alone lol. The frozen margaritas are good and flavorful. The menu is diverse and full of good options but not if you are vegan or vegetarian. Seafood options are limited too. Still really enjoy this place a lot and visit it often.
There is both curbside and garden in restaurant dining. Face masks and social distancing required when not eating. Take out and delivery as well. Dont see depend in their online menu, several things were unavailable when I ordered. Service was slow. The decor was bland. The food itself (Arroz con pollo and Empanatas were OK, but nothing special. Drinks were weak. Dont expect to park. The area is very congested. No reason for me to go back.
NO wait on a Saturday at 12:00. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, red beans and pork to get started. Both excellent, the soup had great flavor and the chicken in the soup was very tender. The soup had fresh herbs and lots of avocado chunks in it. For my entree I ordered the fried fish tacos that came with plantains and red cabbage. The tacos were very tasty as was the two dipping sauces that were included. The plantains had no flavor and were dry and hard. Service was good and the atmosphere was festive. I would definitely recommend this place.
I was so excited to come here due to all the amazing reviews. And wasnt going to write a review but after speaking to my stepdad today decided to do so. I had a reservation on a Friday evening and everything was great we got there got seated right away. We ordered our drinks we ordered our food; drinks were amazing then the food started coming out and my order didnt come out. I was told a few minutes twice after about 10 to 12 minutes I asked them to kindly cancel my order. Our server apologized profusely and advised us His manager is aware of the error and that the desert will be complementary. Not sure if it was the servers error or the kitchen but regardless that was very disappointing. Today Monday I spoke to my step dad and he told me that the fish that he ordered Friday night was spoiled and the small amount he ate had him in bed and the BR ALL weekend. Please Please make sure you dont sell spoiled seafood. Next time you might send someone to the hospital.
Food is good. Drinks are on point. I would 5 star if they didnt force a 20% on our party of 4 when their menu stated it was for parties of 5 or more after a certain hour. Outside of that, the water was a bit slow to be refilled, which normally is fine, but I felt if they are forcing a 20% tip, water should be refilled promptly.

2022-03-25One of the best options for the area where you don’t have to break the bank! Came here for happy hour and got some amazing drinks for a great price. The food was great and the vibe was perfect - can’t wait to come back. Will definitely be my go to option in the area if I’m looking for a fun place to get some great food and drinks.

2022-05-05The one thing I can say its been very long, we was waiting our food like 1 hour. This place definitely need find some workers. Food was ok, but the waiter not pay attention at all. I got a vegetarian dish and separately beans with beef. So I will never come back place like that, and not recommended.

2021-08-30Ordered the plantain breaded chicken and it wasn’t great at all. My spinach had huge chunks of garlic and wasn’t properly sautéed with garlic and olive oil as I requested. The accompanying sauces were bland and not exciting as anticipated. The service and hospitality was good and extremely friendly. The guacamole was very good. Our drinks were decent could be a bit stronger.A bit on pricey end.Decor is tasteful and music selection was good.

2022-02-22Ive been here 3 times for brunch and it always leaves just a little bit to be desired. The food is very hit or miss: the chicken in the sancocho is very tough and bone-y, chicken in the arroz con pollo is also dry and tough, but the empanadas are very good. Prices are standard Park Slope.Service was just ok - Gratuity of 20% is automatically added on. I think this was the last time well come here for brunch, time to find a new spot.

2022-03-12I love this place! I have been coming here for years! The staff is super nice and accommodating and friendly. Also the food is amazing! A little bit pricey, but worth it. The empanadas, especially the steak and guava are my absolute favorites! Also the ribs are amazing and flavorful and fall right off the bone! Highly recommended!
