I was never a big fan of Indian food until I went to Bombay Kabab. Food is fresh and delicious. Customer service is attentive and friendly. My friend and I had a little bit of friendly chit-chat with our waiter and he gave us free desert! The place is small and they seem to emphasize delivery, but what is there is nicely decorated and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Average food. Very poor service on this visit. I ordered five things and received three. Of the three, two were not exactly what I ordered but close enough. I talked to management afterwards and they said the waiter was on his first day. No help? No training? The food itself was fine, but not more than that. I love good Indian food. This was just average.
Tasty. I was the only one in there so the owner and waiter started loudly talking so I had to put on my headphones. Other than that a very clean place with excellent food and paper towels in the bathroom. Lastly I learned the lunch special wasn’t in effect on weekends when I sat down and opened the menu. Four stars because the fare was excellent.
Dont order for delivery, we ordered for delivery, our food never came, we called several times, only once did someone answer, asking for our patience. We ordered at 6:30 for a 7:30 delivery, by 10:00 pm, we called seamless to cancel the order. Bad business! Very dissatisfied, they dont deserve a half star.!
We ordered over 3 hours ago and called over 30 times and the restaurant picked up once after the first hour telling us he would get to us and to be patient and wait as he was understaffed. I understand these times are trying but restaurants should not accept orders if they can’t fulfill them.
Bad delivery experience. Order was more than two hours late from the estimated delivery order so nearly three hours. I called twice with each hour and was promised the delivery was on its way. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Eventually I was told I cancelled my own order in my third call. Completely unprofessional and a lie. I hope they were having a bad day but I certainly did waiting for three hours.
Bombay Kabab is a wonderful place! Let me tell you why my wife and I live it: food is simply perfect, with a selection of dishes you certainly will not find in other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants. The vibe is quiet and staff is very kind. And theres Mohammed, of course. Cool guy, who will make you feel at home. Dont forget to try the coconut Naan and the vegetarian balls! Ohhhhhh, this is making me hungry... Dont think too much. Try it!

2022-04-25Terrible food. So bland. Ordered through seamless, delivery. They forgot the rice so I went to the restaurant myself and they informed me that the plate does not come with rice. So, I spent $17 on a vegetarian tikka masala. When I pointed out that they are over charging, they started yelling at me. Then all of a sudden they start claiming I’m at the wrong restaurant even after showing them a receipt with their name on it. Over rice? And again, very bland food.

2022-07-14I’m sure there are many who love this place. I’m not one of them.First, they’re listed as “Indian horizon” on Uber Eats, where I placed my order. Seems like something is off. I should probably have checked before I placed the order.Second, the Entree was supposed to come with a side of rice - but it was missed.Lastly, the chicken biryani. What can I say about this biryani. Personally, it was not worthy of the name. A chicken biryani with peas? I’ve had hundreds of biryanis in my life but never a chicken biryani that also had peas. Moreover, the biryani has turmeric - another ingredient that’s amazing but does not belong in a biryani. And then the texture - soggy. It’s the first principle of any pulao or biryani in the Indian subcontinent - every rice should be separable from the next in a nice steamy sort of way. Missed the mark on several counts.Definitely not trying this place again.

2019-10-06Pretty good Indian place! Their dinner set menu is a great deal - you get a soup, a small appetizer, a main dish with rice and naan, and a rice pudding for dessert for $16-18. Vegetarian options are cheapest with a small premium for chicken and lamb.I got a samosa for the appetizer, the mulligatawny soup (a kind of mildly spicy tomato lentil soup, very tasty), and chicken vindaloo for the main entree. Everything was really tasty and of a good portion size. The place itself is a little small so it feels intimate. Service is pretty good, everyone was very nice and the food came out fast. I would definitely come back.

2018-12-20UPDATE DEC. 2018: I just love this restaurant. It’s small and homey, and the people are so kind. The food is terrific. The samosas are so flaky, and everything is just right. I recommend the tandoori chicken (I prefer tikka because it’s boneless) and the naan, of course. If you can’t get here, they do deliver and it’s great then too — but if you can stop by it’s a great small spot. The lunch special is very fairly priced and a good opportunity to get used to the offerings.PREVIOUS 2017: Absolutely wonderful new Indian restaurant in Park Slope. It’s in the space that housed a former good Indian spot, and it’s awfully tiny, but it’s really good. The chicken soup is lentil-based and excellent. The chicken tikka salad is very good. The naan is soft and crusty. I’m looking forward to trying it again.

2017-12-27Enjoyed a delicious lunch special with friends. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Great deal at only $8.95. Can’t wait to go back! I recommend ordering things “medium spicy.”

2019-04-13Not one single thing takes away a whole star by itself. People are so nice, its quiet, food tastes good. Portions not large but not small either. Rice was dry, lamb chops seasoning was amazing. Food overall tasted great. Price not cheap, but not too expensive from average. Fact that its halal is great too.

2021-10-30I love this place - their special with soup, samosa, naan and entree for under $20 is incredible. I’ve gotten pick up and delivery and it’s always super fresh and hot. Everyone who works there is kind and helpful, and they love the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

2021-12-17Poorly seasoned lentils similar in quality to costco packaged lentils. $17 for 7 pieces of cold shrimp on a bed of raw onion and that’s it. No thanks!

2021-10-25A hidden gem for Indian food in the neighborhood. It often gets overlooked because it’s next to Ramen Danbo, but the food is excellent (if a little oily). I would say if you don’t specify a spice level, it will be bland, but if you tell them Medium or higher, it’s very good.
