A very great Italian restaurant with great cuisine and atmosphere. The dishes are well presented with taste and aroma (which we need to bendac in the places like that).Note that you have to wait a little while for the dishes not delivered so quickly. Good quality wines, not much choice, and the drinks and beer menu are poor.I definitely recommend this restaurant 👌
Cant speak for dinner, but the brunch was delightful. BIG old pancakes, stuffed full of blueberries and chocolate, with a nice dollop of marscapone (I think) on top. The Magic Alleyway was a nice little outside oasis, and the service was spectacular. No complaints here 👌
Had an authentic breakfast in a lovely atmosphere.Would definitely recommend the place.Food is really fresh.I had Portobello Mushroom, Roasted Tomatoes & Cheddar Scramble (w/salad, toast) and organic lemongrass-ginger tea. Will come back again!!!Staff is also very friendly:-)
Ordered just about everything you can think of off their menu. You literally can’t go wrong. The montrealer sandwich is their #1 best seller and I can totally see why. Croissant is buttery and flakey to perfection. Crispy bacon. The salmon pastrami was as a unique option my friend got I’ve never had anything like it it was so good! The avo toast was loaded with avocado and the olive toast is delicious. Everything on the menu is affordable and not pricey at all. Outside heaters during covid too! Really cozy atmosphere and amazing service..staff is so so sweet!
The NY strip steak and cheese eggs are some of the best I have ever had. Their pancakes are definitely something different. A mix of berries, chocolate chips, and creme fresh. Each bite was perfection. To top it off, the mocha was creamy and perfectly brewed at just the right temperature. Their chai latte was the right blend of spices and just like the mocha, perfectly creamy and brewed.Edit: We stopped here for breakfast before heading back to Oklahoma and I left my bag here. The waitress ran a block after us to return it. So not only do they have great service, they are amazing people. I will definitely be coming back to Bonafini ony next Brooklyn trip.
We went to Bonafini for brunch. I had their golden girl juice, which is very good. My future wife had OJ very good as well. We had the beyond burger, which for me was ok (not to die for).My fiancee had the blueberry and chocolate chip pancake, she said they weren’t so taste. The hashbrown are good, once you have it, put a salt on it. My baby like it with ketchup.Service is amazing.
I have never eaten a single thing here that wasnt delicious. Highly recommend any seafood options, the papardelle, any gnocchi dish, the chicken milanese, or the broccoli rabe panini (brunch only). Hard to pick faves The new cocktail menu is also a great addition. Finally they are very accommodating for kids - its my sons favorite restaurant.
Nice place for brunch on Sunday. Good music, not very expensive. Very good attention, everybody was very kind. WiFi available. The chocolate chips pancakes are EXTREME. Couldn’t finish them. Should have a smaller version for solos. Coffee from $2.5 to $4. Pancakes $12. Bottle of tap water for free.
Bonafini will forever be our favorite neighborhood restaurant! After postponing our original wedding plans due to Covid, we decided to still get married in Prospect Park this past summer with 16 of our closest friends and family. Afterwards, we walked to Bonafini’s and celebrated in their beautiful backyard. Liliana and her amazing staff made our day truly magical! We gave them decorations and favors that were set up before we arrived. Not only is the food DELICIOUS, Liliana and her staff are always welcoming and so accommodating! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
•THE COUPLE•Laughter & love are scarcely guaranteed, in truth, theyre a blessing, a gift that weve received❤️•THE COOKBOOK•The Montrealer” Breakfast Sandwich - Bacon, mustard, maple, fried egg on croissant w/hash browns❤️😍❤️.Salmon Pastrami on Olive Toast - w/cream cheese & fried egg💥.Chocolate Chip & Blueberry Pancakes🍽😁•THE OWNER•“Honesty; it’s always about the people, being able to provide them with a good time, good food and remarkable memories. I want to provide the type of experiences that make people want to return. As an Italian, a meal is an experience in and of itself… The food is a complement, but only one of many important factors..In Italy, the word blessing has a completely different meaning than here in the US. When I first moved to New York I heard many people using the word with a fundamentally different context than what I was accustomed to. I loved how the meaning of one word could change from one place to another. For me, the word began to embody good vibes and community and so I named the café Blessings!.Generally, we try to source locally and work with farms as much as we can. Its about finding the right balance. I tend to work with small local companies, so that I know where the products come from. It’s important to work with the community, hand in hand. .Many people dont know this but initially we started as a coffee shop, but after a couple of months I realized that there was no real brunch spot around, so I wanted to give it a try and the community responded really well. I am lucky to have a good community in this neighborhood. The community has been embracing us since day one. The feedback weve received, good or bad, has helped us to grow and improve! Building a kind of trust and a true relationship within the community is what its all about. Moreover, this relationship has opened the door for us to offer dinner, which focuses more on my Italian roots, centered on good pasta, fresh fish, and great wine in a warm and intimate atmosphere. For Blessings, this is just one more opportunity to give back to the community that has given us so much! ~Liliana (Owner of @blessingsbrooklyn)
Solid Brooklyn spot! If you’re ever around Flatbush or at Prospect Park, GO HERE! Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. Not fussy and flavors are on point. Atmosphere inside is the classically dim lit Italian joint. Backyard dining area has a fun artistic vibe and totally covered with heaters. Went for dinner and definitely going to check out brunch. Portions for the price are robust. Drink options have something for everyone. Check them out!
My daughter, my husband and I went to Bonafini for Valentines and we had the most wonderful experience! I had not been in quite a long time, and I was very happily surprised that not only it was even better than before (and I already loved it in the past) but the menu even more. Coming from Italy my standards for hand made pasta are very high and Bonafini did not disappoint a bit. You can tell that a lot of love and real Italian tradition has carefully helped in crafting every dish. I especially loved the zucchini and calamari (that smell of a typical Italian frittura mista) and the taglierini with swordfish, but also the wild boar ragu strozzapreti my husband had was wonderful. And Lily, the owner, is really kind and caring with her customers, you feel like you are eating in her own kitchen! We cant wait to go back :)
Charming little cafe that can seem a bit nondescript as theres no signboard (least not one I could see), but the crowd was a telltale sign that something delicious was waiting behind those doors! They have a cute little backyard area where you can dine alfresco and have a good selection of standard brunch items with lattes served in nice big mugs!
I did NOT enjoy my experience! First off we had to wait over an hour to get a table. We were seated outside in their backyard and immediately ordered: French Toast, Pancakes, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, and Lattes. We were enjoying our drink when the food arrived. All the sides were placed on their own separate plates, which doesnt make sense since the tables are small outside. Thats when the waiter accidentally spilled my coffee on me and my cellphone which was on the table. The waiter did bring me a towel to dry myself off and brought me another latte. I really didnt want to make a show because I am a person of color and know very well that in white restaurants that does not go well. I tried to move past the incident but the food was not good. The french toast was extremely hard and the bacon was undercooked.I was surprised when I received the bill and noticed that I wasnt compensated a percentage for the incident. I still left a tip because I know how terrible the food industry is and after all we are still living in a pandemic.Overall I will not be going back to Bonafini when there are several other restaurants in the area that I prefer to go to.
My favorite local spot for coffee and food. All the guys are friendly here, they work fast and hard. I personally like to hang out at the bar at the weekends mornings and enjoy little talks with Ernesto, he is great! We’ve tried literally all the food, and everything is always delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this hidden paradise at Flatbush! Also live band music on Sunday brunch👌🏻
Came here years ago when it was Blessings and loved it so decided to come back for another go now that it’s changed names (I believe the owner is still the same). Brunch is always packed but we were lucky to get a seat straight away. The pitcher of mimosa was good value and the brunch tasted like the type of comfort food you’d make at home but better.
We had a lovely meal here in the enchanted alley. It was 45 degrees out and rainy but it really wasnt bad in the alley without heaters. The walls block the wind. We were happy they were able to squeeze us in because they were booked. The staff and our server were polite, professional and kind to our little one. We got the salmon on olive toast, stuffed french toast and bacon. Every item was delicious. This was our first breakfast in NY so we were surprised we were charged for coffee refills but that seems to be fairly common in non-chain restaurants. The coffee was very good and fresh. So worth it! Wee also felt very safe with the COVID protocols they had in place. Highly recommend. But if you are going for brunch make a reservation!
The Montrealer is a must-try; the croissant was the star of the show. Add french toast to top it off and youve got a recipe for a great start to the day (at least on the weekends);).The staff, atmosphere and great food combined for a great experience. Really good breads and good coffee - dont walk too fast or youll miss it.
Been here a few times and the food has been awesome. Pastas are delicious, wine list is curated with care, service is attentive. Only snafu is a steak I once had that was medium well rather than medium rare when it got to the table. But other than that, this place is a keeper.
Aside from a somewhat grumpy host (sorry we asked about kids dishes and vegan options, both of which they have and which are wonderful) this place is a little gem! properly done al dente pasta! and lovely salads with super fresh vegetables. they had very reasonable pasta dishes for the children and were so accommodating about not adding cheese, etc. to things. the outdoor seating in the back has a nice vibe, indoors feels old school (in a good way).
Was made to wait for over 40 minutes before dinner arrive. I saw neighbors who arrived well after I did get their dinner before mine. I had to call the waitress and request her twice before I finally received my dinner.Dinner itself was underwhelming. The brussel sprouts were half burned, the chicken Milanese was chewy and did not taste very good (adding a ton of lime helped salvage it)The Tortellini however, tasted really good and I ordered a second portion to take home. All in all, a mixed food experience coupled with very poor service.
I loved this place! The food was fantastic. We went for breakfast. The pancake was surprisingly good. The servings were large. They had great options for vegetarians and vegans. We had mimosas and fresh pressed juices which were fresh. Staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable / creative about the menu. Only thing Id ding is the hash browns. They seemed air fried and too thin, to the point where it felt like you were just eating fried buts, no potato. All in all, I cant wait to go back!
Went for breakfast and OMG SO MANY FLIES! Felt dirty when I left. Food was a 5/10. Smelt like spoilt fish when you walk in but decided to give a benefit of the doubt. Got the montrealer sandwich. Hashbrowns tasted like they were fried in dirty/stale oil. The sandwich itself wasnt bad. Wont be back.
We waited a reasonable amount of time for brunch without a reservation! The service is great, the hostess was very accommodating and friendly! We sat indoors, in a great spot! I ordered the rise and shine with turkey sausage, which was delish! My girlfriend loved her french toast, it was a good serving size! My mom had the steak and eggs, which were well-seasoned! I definitely recommend this place, we can’t wait to come back!
This is a great place to have breakfast or brunch (wait time is long on weekends). The food is fabulous and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The actually smile. We arrived after another person who asked to be seated away from the music speaker. Not only was she seated where she wanted, but the manager turned the music down. Cant recommend this restaurant enough!
We ordered the frittata and the hash browns, it was enough to split for two people. Frittata was pretty bland and the hash browns are more like chips, which we werent crazy about. Service was good. İ might go again to try their dinner but wouldnt go again for their brunch.
The lady who owns this spot should NOT be working in hospitality by any means. I really used to like this place, shame. Go to Eddie Joe’s, they actually treat their customers with respect. Oh and she’s going to say u don’t have a reservation if she doesn’t like you, we had a reservation for outside and she tried to embarrass me and say we don’t. It was my birthday and she was so so abrasive. GO TO EDDIE JOES INSTEAD!!!
Wow! What a great experience on Flatbush. Nice place to meet up with a small group or a table for two. We got a bottle of wine. Mussels for an appetizer. Steak for dinner. All so good and worth the price. For sure would visit again. Staff is friendly and service was excellent. Marc-Elie C was our server. He was on his game and not over bearing. He has only been working at this place for 5 weeks. Must check this place out!
Brunch here is amazing. Food is great, a bit pricey for the neighborhood but worth it. Portions are big and food is really tasty. Only bummer was that I was here on a hot Sunday afternoon and they had the doors and patio open. There is not enough cool air circulation in this place, I was sweating while finishing up. Great place, would go back.
Cute little place! We didnt have to wait but a lot of parties did, which is a good thing for the restaurant but kinda sucks for patrons. Food was delicious. The only complaint I had was that there was so much going on. Live music, loud kitchen, world cup was on TV, sounds from the street, & music playing over the sound system. It made it difficult to talk with our table but by no means ruined our meal or anything. We had a wonderful time.
Nice place to have a light brunch. They allowed us to take a seat even if they were about to closed (we didnt check the open hours). The slice of bread was thick and really good, efficient service!. Although, I think that the cold brew is more like a regular hot coffee in ice.
Formerly known as Blessings Cafe, this spot has been renamed yet still keeps true to its charming roots and outstanding service as it was when it was Blessings Cafe. Stopped by on a Friday morning and was able to quickly order breakfast (served til 3pm) and the barista at the bar was attentive and friendly. Even though I ordered breakfast for takeout, the servers kindly gave me water without asking and carefully packaged my food so that my breakfast and coffee didnt spill in my backpack on my bike ride home. So glad that not much has changed as far as quality of service and deliciousness of food, and Ill be sure to return to try their Italian fare for dinner some time.
Solid food in a busy but friendly eatery on Flatbush Avenue. We had another today and an omelette. Huge pieces of toast with fresh avocado. The omelette was really nice, with mushrooms and parmesan, served with side salad and toasty bread. Great flat white for a cafe. The service was attentive and friendly. It was loud and energetic, a little too loud, it made conversation difficult.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, even better food. The kitchen is in the same space as the dining floor—and you feel the connection with the chefs. They use the best ingredients, and they are actually concerned with how your food tastes. They really care—theyll check in with you when they have a free moment. Its conveniently located in the middle of everything on Flatbush Ave, and I love the live jazz that they put on during the weekends, even if it is a little cramped.
Very pleasant spot, if you are looking for an upscale alternative in the neighborhood. The food was lovely, especially if you like mushrooms: the use of less common mushrooms was very nicely done.Portions are small, and on the expensive side. Thus upscale.Atmosphere is cozy, warm, mostly nice music.Wine selection is very Italian, 10-12/glass for wines in the 10-12/bottle range.
Bonafini is, quite simply, a class act. Wonderful staff, lovely environment—theres a reason, in pre-COVID days, the wait for brunch was always very long (but also, always, worth it; you could go browse books across the street at Greenlight in the meantime). The Montrealer breakfast sandwich is a classic, as is the French toast with blood orange & pink grapefruit. And then dinner/dessert! The lasagna (perfect); the olive oil cake (a dream). This place is a gem.
This has become a brunch staple for me when we have friends visiting. The food is incredible and the serving sizes are huge. A cozy, friendly atmosphere and live music sometimes. The hash browns are so delicate and unique! I normally refuse to pay for avocado toast because its two ingredients, but the home-made olive bread and HUGE helping here is totally worth it. Also their bacon/croissant sandwich - I think its called the Montrealer - is truly unforgettable :)
Good spot for a neighborhood just beginning to blossom into something more. Menu is fairly limited but food is good and crowd is nice. The space can use some work, specifically at the front where there is a good amount of wasted space -- band during crowded weekend brunch and an entire section blocked by a large weird wooden structure. Overall good location and an easy choice if youre in the neighborhood.
This place is the best place in Brooklyn the food is good the drinks or very good and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Wish I had one around my house back home. The stop cooking around 3 pm and start back up at 5 pm but this place is worth finding if you want good food and good service with the best coffees that is better then Starbucks
Great neighborhood place. Good food. Sat at the back of a room that had a curtain across w some private event or where one restaurant stopped and another started...3 related ones are side by side...and the bumping and general disruption was a bit annoying. Our waiter, as well, BSed when he didnt know an answer about the menu. We asked about a fish dish, the texture of the flesh. He just used description already given, but changed around the order of the words. Amusing. We later heard--too convoluted to explain how--that he was kind of a heel, didnt treat his boyfriend nicely. So..yeah...its that kind of neighborhood place, small world even in Brooklyn. Like I said at the top...quite good food.
This place leaves a lot to be desired, but if youre looking to help contribute to the gentrification of a neighborhood, this is your spot. While this may be uncomfortable to some, this needs to be said. Your food, while tasty, speak to a different demographic with a higher price point. We must do more for our local community than to simply co-exist. How can we be inclusive and accessible to the rest of the community?
Great options for those watching what they eat. My family and I came here for quick brunch and we had the avocado scramble, the salmon and croissant sandwich and we ordered a side of eggs and toast for our daughter. One thing to note... Toast is really a baguette so if you have a child that doesnt like crispy bread or whose teeth arent that strong I wouldnt recommend the bread for them. The bartender also gave us a taste of a drink theyre considering made with Soju Beer and it was delicious. I hope they add it to the menu!
Bonafini is really nice for brunch and definitely worth eating at. However, its not 5 stars bc the service is a tiny bit unorganized, and the Bloody Mary was below average. There were enough peppercorns in there for 10 bloodies, I had to ask them to strain them out.The food was good. Montrealer is very good, despite the bland side salad. Everyone is very nice and its quite a good time.
Been here a few times and the same dishes seem to be made and portioned different every time. You never know if you’re entree is going to turn out to be a normal or a side dish. Maybe they think they’re doing you a favor to cut portions when they’re running out of certain dishes instead of just saying that they are out it. But the recipes change too, their lasagna was awesome once then it was terrible the second time. Also, it’s not vegan friendly, they don’t do substitutions for anything. A friend ordered the chilaquiles made vegan and she just got bag tortilla chips with some beans on top for $15. Service is terrible or just ok. It’s a shame cause it’s a nice place, or could be if they could figure out their recipes and service.
Cute coffee shop. I enjoy their coffee and pastries. There is a tech bar for people who want to work away on their laptops while others are eating on the tables. I found it a smart use of space, and a great way to combine two different crowds. I noticed that they have a dinner menu with music sometimes - I need to go back for that.
Cute place, but food clearly made by random dudes, not cooks (not even asking for a “chef”..) I had brunch there- the frittata was really just a bland omelette , the French toast was dry inside, and burnt outside- seriously? The place looks cool, but I’ll put my money elsewhere.
No doubt this restaurant in gorgeous, but I cant eat good interior design. My friend and I came here for a brief snack. Frankly, the food is overpriced and belongs in Williamsburg. Gentrification is already a problem, $15 avocado toast is certainly not the solution. Beyond that, my table ordered pastries, and I ordered tea with milk. Both pastries were cold, chewy, and stale. Ive had better and cheaper at Whole Foods. I also had to ask for my milk 4 separate times, to two different people (my waiter and the manager, who happened to pass by and ask if I needed anything). I never got it. By this time, my friend and I are deeply disappointed and entirely ready to go. We asked for the check, and didnt receive it for a while, so we had to go up and handle the check ourselves. It was a mediocre experience made insulting by how pricey the cafe is, in the area it is in. I will not return, and I will frown from this memory everytime Im in the area.
Most know Bonafini for their inestimable brunch, but not all of those happy patrons may have tried this spot for dinner yet. The wine! The pasta! That bread! The seasonal menu includes many decadent vegetarian options, all of which are served by staff who make you feel as if youre being welcomed into their home. The only drawback -- the not-too-loud music in the background is always SO GOOD that it distracts me from conversation.
The ambiance is quite rustic which I love. I was impressed by the food bmp portions and the fruit in the yogurt tasted as if it had been packed fresh. Ummm. I loved how beverages were served in old fashioned masonry jars. Last but not least the jazz (live) set it off. I will definitely be going back again and again.
Yes, please. Found this place on Yelp. The salmon pastrami on olive toast was bangin. The iced tea was refreshing. The interior was warm and welcoming.Small order submission error with the server, but pobodys nerfect.Came here on a work lunch and still had enough time with the order mistake to get a replacement and enjoy it, despite the time crunch.Id be happy to try them again.
It has a nice vibe and is yet another example of how the neighborhood is gentrifying, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the service and food. Ordered steak medium rare, but received medium. The chocolate and blueberry pancakes sounded fu, but were too dry and dense. The blueberry compote could have used a tad of sweetness, perhaps with some maple syrup.
Loved the chill and cozy ambiance, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of seating in the cafe—definitely bigger than youd think from the entrance. Plus, its the only cafe open after 6pm in this immediate area. Will definitely be coming back to this neighborhood hotspot!
Customers of this place since it opened. Great iced lattes, great dinners which were recently added (dont sleep on their lasagna and cocktails), and the only drawback is it has gotten popular so there is more of a crowd (but I refuse to knock it down a star for that reason).5 stars from this American and her Russian girlfriend!
This place was PACKED. The AC was not working so everybody was just sweating it out; but we thought, ok, we will just eat and get out of here. We waited at least 15 minutes before anyone even took our order and then at least an hour before it was actually brought to us. No word, no like oh hey, your food is coming in 15 minutes, sorry for the delay, just us slowly starving and melting into a puddle. The actual food, when it was finally brought, was ok but definitely not worth the hour long wait.
What can I say about Blessings that hasnt been said a hundred times before? Excellent coffee, STELLAR brunch for not much $$$ in a shop that makes surprisingly great use of space, lots of personal warmth from the staff and management, and an overall relaxed environment. The perfect spot for Joe on the go, brunch, dinner or an afternoon work session.
The food here is the bomb dot com. Go for brunch. Just go and thank me later. Try the orange juice (D-lish), and their vegetarian options dont leave me feeling like Im missing out on anything. This is a sit down resto not a place to just go for coffee (cause if you just had coffee youd be missing out on the great FOOD). If you are in the hood, head this way. Its a cozy little spot to eat.
What a rude owner! Came here for breakfast and ordered a full meal and coffee and tried to sit outside and study in a cute breakfasty space. Not only did they prematurely give us the bill to try to get us to leave, but then have the audacity to tell me I cant sit outside on the patio and study. I think after paying 15+ for a meal, I have the right to sit for an extra 30 minutes and study. She also specified that I can read a book but not be on a computer. Are we not living in America? The whole experience was completely ruined. Never coming back again.
Great place ... cozy ... menu is heavy influenced by italian/sicilian cuisine... salads are great ... good selection of wine, wife had lasagna and I had steak we were very pleased with service and food ... dont forget to grab some dessert at the end ... we will be back here for sure

++- Avocado/strawberry salad is huge, filling and amazing (Dont forget to add cheese)+- For all the accolades on the bread products, I found the croissant to be quite regular- Small French press coffee is pretty large. It tastes alright, but It comes from a lareg server, and doesnt taste as good as the personal ones that come to the tables at other restaurants- Lots of cool herbs and spices available to purchase- The aroma of rosemary fills the air+/-- You walk in, and suddenly, youre not in East Flatbush anymore. I know its been a long time coming, but the feeling is absolutely insane from seeing this neighborhood ten years ago. The atmopsphere is like you are transportaed to park slope or a Greenwich Village caffe villa.-- Kind of disorganized? Are you supposed to order first, then sit? Are you supposed to sit first, then order? Who do you order from? (theres about 8 six people behind the desk doing various jobs from cooking to cashiering) Are you supposed to order, sit, then come up and get your food? Are there waiters? Can you go outside? None of this is explained- Lots of lingerers take up the already limited seating-It was pretty full at 11am on a Sunday
Thanks for kicking us to the curb when we wanted to sit down at a table - your sign does not state seating is for brunch only ... empty tables = not good for business ... we may have ordered more but we didnt have a choice but to leave or share a table with people unknown while tripping over a badly placed buggy 🙄

2022-02-27This place is a new little hidden gem in Brooklyn.Proof of vaccination is required upon entry. The waiters were attentive, positive & courteous. The food takes a while but when it came out, boy was it gooood! My French toast bread was huge blocks and was kinda dry but still delicious. For a quick breakfast & brunch, GO HERE!

2022-02-23Everything was soo good. Came for a birthday celebration and they helped us hold a cake to surprise our birthday girls.Food was amazing. Service was amazing. We ordered calamari, mussels and all the sides to share and each got a pasta. I got the gnocchi. All great. Even the free bread. My favorites would definitely be the mussels, cauliflower puree, and tagliatelle. Yum, yum, YUM! Im in love.

2022-01-16The food was surprisingly delicious, and I say surprisingly because the brunch menu is very simplistic and almost basic. But they knock the simple things out of the park. The greens with the hash browns are just the perfect combination together. The breakfast sandwich, both the one with bacon and cheddar and vegan were so tasty. I got the one of their juice presses, golden girl, I think and it tasted very fresh and vibrant. My only problem is that for brunch they kick you out in about 2 hours, usually we like to stay and talk and order more drinks leisurely and we had to hurry up and eat here.

2022-03-14This restaurant is so quaint and cute. I came for brunch and it was crowded but not overly crowded. The tables were decently spaced out. I ordered the avocado toast w egg and it came with a half a plate of arugula. The toast was sizable, but very thick and hard to cut. The arugula was a little hard to eat because of the tableware so I didn’t finish it. I would return.

2022-03-01Bonafini is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Ive watched it grow through the years from a cozy, bookish Cafe to the quietly elegant small restaurant it is now.It has a lovely interior and garden, making for an aesthetically pleasing dining experience. The owner is wonderful and always on the floor, ready to attend. The servers are good at their jobs and friendly, even when the place is full. The food there is unfailingly excellent. Im a particular fan of the lasagna. I was disappointed that the eggs Benedict was taken off the menu, however, because its my preferred plate for brunch. The good Bloody Marys make up for it, though - they have the perfect level of spice for me, but if you like things really spicy, they will gladly oblige.Wrapping up: Please go and support this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. You wont be disappointed!

2022-05-18I came here for brunch a few days ago and the food was absolutely horrible. I ordered the steak and eggs with the fried potatoes. I asked for medium and my steak was beyond well done and had no flavor. The potatoes were fried whole? With no seasoning? No salt nor pepper? It also smelled odd in there. The server was great though. That’s about it.

2022-06-22We ordered takeout for a special occasion evening. It was so, so good! We especially loved the chicken milanese and the gnocchi, but the pappardelle, lasagna, and other dishes were also fantastic. Everything came clearly labeled, which was helpful. The kids pasta is perfect. Highly recommend!!!

2020-11-03Found this location after googling brunch near me on Sunday. Greeted at the door by a hostess who warmly informed us that due to capacity maximum the wait would be 30-40 mins. We were surprised to be informed our table for 4 was available after a 20 minute wait. Temperature were taken as required. Restroom was cleanliness was decent. Our waitress, Laura, was an absolute delight. Attentive but not over bearing and we greatly appreciated her service. FYI the pancake stack is large and wide.
