A great rooftop place - cozy yet spacious, outside area is a bit tight, but really popular (reservations are recommended). The drink list is pretty comprehensive, the signature cocktails are pretty good. I tried their punch - really nice, a bit too sweet, but really refreshing, Dante inferno is pretty cool, the Pulitzer is awesome. Their food is made downstairs, also really good. One special find that is an absolutely precious- try their honey! It is served on the side of a cheese board or can be ordered for $3 extra. Its totally worth $3! (Spoiler: it has a very unusual flavor)Staff is fantastic, bartenders and servers - thank you guys!
A very good rooftop bar with many interesting cocktails. I was here on a freezing day in January, and although there is some heating in the closed outside area it was still a bit chilly in there. Besides that the place was spot on. They have a small fireplace and comfy couches and seating. The food menu is tiny so definitely dont count on a dinner here. Atmosphere is very cozy and warm.
Tiny patio, scrunched in with others in close proximity (the hostess calls this shared space) so very little - if any - privacy. This might not bother some people, but might kill the idea of a romantic drink for others. Also relatively low building , and patio has high walls, so very limited, low view.Cute, but at $16 a drink, there are much nicer rooftop bars for the same price. I would pass.
Really cool space; however, the rooftop area was cramped, uncomfortable, and not well lit(difficult to read menu). The inside space seemed to be more spacious and inviting than the outdoor rooftop. The cocktails were moderately to high priced, but were well made and discreetly strong. Wouldnt be the first place I recommend to a newcomer, but was an enjoyable experience.
A great place to hangout with friends. The hostesses look lovely in there floral dresses, very cordial, polite. Mai Thai is a citrus delight. The Flaming Shrimp is a great presentation leaving you awed. For a taste experience I recommend the tuna and avocado with cilantro. As for atmosphere you will feel like this hole in the wall place is one of the citys gem. Very delightful.
Almost non existent snack options so definitely do not come on an empty stomach. Was able to find some shared space on the end of a couch but decided there were nicer, less expensive places nearby with actually good as well. Not my style of place but could work as a meeting place for purely high end drinks
The best place for a summer drink. Went here with a close friend last summer and cannot wait to go again. Expertly crafted cocktails with an excellent view, it is the best spot for a quiet evening of conversation, cocktails and an upscale attitude. A little bit of relaxed fancy in the city
If 0 was an option, that would be the choice. We asked for water four times, but no water for three rounds of drinks for 5 people. Consistently rude attitude, slamming our drinks down and not bringing them in the first place unless asked 3-4 times. The worst part was we offered a generous tip and the waitress came back to our table and approached us about it. Ive NEVER seen this happen before so I went back up and changed by tip to $0. The place is small, they allow people to smoke in your face and seating is extremely uncomfortable. The place was cleared out Friday at 8pm so I guess Im probably not the only one who feels this way. Good NYC rooftops go late into the night. Seems like others are fed up with this dump.
A reliable option for after-drink works in a classy bar with many seating options: tall stools, couches, armchairs and benches in the heated and covered rooftop area. Delicious cocktails with names inspired by great authors and classic titles. Food options are limited, however. Service is attentive and customers never feel rushed.
My favorite after work spot in the summer. Unfortunately, everyone elses too. Great people watching, friendly crowd and servers. Small elevator takes you to the top floor. Order great drinks, and light appetizers. I usually order the ginger passion sparkling cocktail, and the artisanal cheeses, nuts and olives, and truffle popcorn as appetizers (food is enough for 6-8 people). Ive ordered the pizzas when i get the munchies, and they go before I can get a slice. LOL.
Felt really classy. Not in the dress formally kind of way, but just its a place you go to for atmosphere...books and a fireplace. Cute area with glass ceilings on the side. Despite seeming like they could be super snooty, a woman brought in an outside burrito bowl and they brought her silverware and a napkin for it.
JUST AWFUL!!! Arrived 6:30PM on a Thursday. After a short rain, outdoor tables and seats were wet despite the place being full. We were offered a subpar, wet back- bench with no view. Extremely overpriced drinks and food led to $55 bill for two over-sugary drinks and three tiny, dry, White-Castle-style sliders. Will never return!!!!!
There is a literally theme here but it is reflected only in the drinks and not the decor - I think its a missed opportunity to differentiate. Can get crowded on Fridays and weekends but great weekday spot. Service could be a bit more attentive but overall great experience.
I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)Drinks: Excellent. Try the Jackie Collins!Space: Rooftop bar! Really beautiful views of the NYC skyline. It is located on the 14th floor of the Library Hotel.Scene: It is a very modern, sleek, and sexy venue. The fireplace makes it romantic, while the communal style seating leads to mixing and mingling. This place is good for get-togethers, date night, and to take a date out to to impress them!Crowd: 30-40s Afterwork crowd. Pick-up scene. Mostly corporate types and professionals.Service: Excellent! Really courteous staff.
Just returned from a weeks stay in the library hotel and this roof top bar should not be with this hotel, the staff are extremely rude no names but watch out for the red haired girl and especially a girl with short dark hair. Manners don’t cost anything but they only give them if they get a tip DONT USE THIS BAR

2022-02-05Loved this place! Been here when it was crowded and when it was empty - both times I was treated so nicely and politely by all staff. Service was always prompt, all areas are clean, and they make the effort to cross check vax vards with your ID . Cocktails are creative and the atmosphere is amazing regardless of whether you are seated by the bar or in a table. Definitely a place worth coming to.

2022-07-07As much as we had a lovely experience, my friends and I were very put off by this bar. We ordered a round of drinks (singles /bar rail) and when the bill came out we found out we were changed for doubles… some of us are driving and had to sort out alternative transportation. Very upset by the danger that could have put us in. I hope they consider this the next time they plan to over serve.

2020-02-11Stopped here for a quick birthday drink as one of my literary bars on my list. As a writer and literary enthusist, anyone would love this place. I hope to make it back when the weather is better, but even so, its gorgeous views and delicious cocktails wont disappoint!!

2018-10-13Enjoyed a Friday evening here with some friends. Never got too crowded and we had a nice quiet enough area to comfortably chat with each other. I started off with The Artist specialty sangria and then moved on to some frosé. Both were tasty, would order either again. Took away one star because of the lovely midtown prices — and there’s also only one restroom for women.

2018-10-15Cute little rooftop to spend some time at relaxing. The atmosphere is cozy, but the outdoor seating is very limited. Drinks are overpriced as expected.

2018-04-28Im not a huge drinker so I cant speak to the quality of the choices there, and the first beer I requested turned out to be out of stock. But the staff was charming and friendly and my wife liked it. So thats good enough for me.

2021-11-15Caught the last bit if summer on the roof deck TWICE. Lovely little spot for an after work (or pre-show) cocktail. Excited to see how cozy it gets this winter!
