I have been regularly visiting my elderly uncle who is recuperating from an accident in Boro Park Center.I see first hand the exceptional care he is getting. From the kind and caring aids who go above and beyond with a cheery and pleasant manner, to the dedicated nurses who treat every resident as their only charge. The professional social workers and therapists are focused on making sure that each and every patient recuperates to the fullest extent in the most efficient way. I witnessed the doctors who build a comrade with their patients while taking a genuine interest in their personal life stories and experiences. Oh, did I mention my uncle loves the food.No one want to be in a rehab or nursing facility, but if you have to be in one, Boro Park Center is definitely the place to be.
You want a family member to die? Then this is the place! My mother went to rehab for 2 weeks and came back worse then ever. The treatment was horrendous, we could not get in contact with anyone, and when I threatened to go to social media, they would give me a nurse who would make up stories about mom that were not of her character, when I finally got her out of prison which we too felt were inShe had sores on her mouth, they took her coat In all considerations there were some great nurses that felt their hands were tied, but overall this place is worst than a prison you would not want to place your loved one in this place, there is no compassion in this place. COVID did not kill mom , but this rehab surely did!
My mother is currently a patient at Boro Park, unfortunately. She had open heart surgery and she is receiving the worst care possible. Her chest dressing should be changed daily, yet it has not been changed for four days (and counting). She is not properly washed or cleaned. Her drinking water isnβt changed and sheβs been drinking water thatβs been sitting in a pitcher for the last week. Her pillow fell under her bed and remained there for 3 days until I was allowed to see her and personally picked it up. At a time of a pandemic, there is no soap in her soap dispenser. Iβve reached out to the people who work there but to no avail. I fear for my motherβs health and well-being.
I highly recommend this facility for all rehabilitation and healthcare. What an amazing place. The entire building is so beautiful and clean. The staff is so devoted. Everyone is so loving and caring. Boro Park Center respectfully deserves a full 5 stars! The best of all the rest.
The Boro Park Center is an incredible facility! The Recreation department is fantastic, they have at least 5 programs a day. Rachel Klein is extremely talented, and is a great leader as well. There is an amazing family oriented atmosphere at the Boro Park Center, everyone is so friendly and gracious!I would definitely send my family member there!
I have a relative in the Boro Park Center and he is receiving amazing care, the nursing staff have been incredible! They are friendly and very pleasant to deal with. The only thing Iβm worried about is that my relative would want to stay; she told me that it feels like she is in a boutique hotel, she is almost ready to go home!Thank you Boro Park Center for everything!
I have done OT & PT at Boro Park Center, and my grandma has done OT & 2 rounds of PT since spring 2016. All of those people and the receptionists and others with whom we have interacted have been good to outstanding and the majority were in the outstanding category. They have all been extremely patient-focused... and patient with people who are not easy. I would absolutely recommend the Boro Park Center Rehabilitation and highly encourage anyone who need this type of expertise to check out this Rehab center
My God mother is currently a patient in this center and is being miss treated day after day. We bought her fruits to be taken up to her room because we could not take it to her behind covid 19 concerns and the food went missing. She has also called me to pickup her dirty laundry and they refuse to give them to me so that I can clean her clothes. This behavior is totally unacceptable and no one should ever have to experience this kind of treatment in a place where you are seeking care and rehabilitation. I would never recommend this center to anyone.
My mom is a resident with alshimers. Before finding boro park center she was in another placement. Thank God that I found them they are so great, informative, caring , friendly and professional. My mom has friends now, she is happy. I am so glad that she is safe and comfortable in a loving invirment. They make me feel at ease with placing her in a home and yes its a home for her π. I am alone and I miss her dearly but with the help of the wonderful staff I get updates when ever I feel that I have just left her. They always are there for me for that I am greatly appreciative.
NO STARS ! My godmother is in this facility for a month already and the hospitality in this facility is a nightmare. No one seems to take care of her necessities when needed to use the restroom nobody attends her. They will take her to a lounge area from 8:00am to 7:00pm and pay her no mind. She has been bathed once ! Once in a month like who does that to a patient? My family is seeking for legal advice because this behavior is unacceptable.
I am writing this review because my mother who was on 3 East had the most pleasant stay with Boro Park. She was admitted for total knee replacement and needed rehab. The nurses and CNA were so good to her. I am happy I picked Boro Park Center for my mother to go to; to get better!
ZERO STARS. My grandmother is currently a patient at this facility and my family and I are preparing to file a formal complaint of abuse. The quality of care is horrendous. They never answer calls. Her food is always cold. After a month of being in this facility using the same dirty clothes over and over again they refuse to give us her dirty laundry for cleaning. They wonβt clean it either. She gets placed into this sitting area from 8am to 7pm. When she needs assistance to use the restroom, no one is willing to assist. In the month that she has been there she was bathed ONCE!!! This is unacceptable. They refuse to do the necessary steps needed to get a test performed at NYU LANGONE. Itβs been 2 weeks since NYU LANGONE has been reaching out to them to set her test up with no success. Please DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES stay here. This place is absolute garbage.
There are many nursing homes in the tri-state area, Boro Park Center is definitely on the top.The care the Nursing department gives is truly special.Everyone in the Boro Park Center works as a team, they dont think about themselves rather only for the care and health of the wonderful residents/patients..It is truly wonderful to be part of the family!
I have been to Boro Park Center and the place is spotless clean, the staff are friendly and the nursing is superb. They have all sorts of fun activities for all their residents! The food is incredible as well; the Boro Park Center fills any need a person who wants to rehabilitate themselves to the Hughes level!I definitely recommend the Boro Park Center!
My father is a patient and we find this to be an excellent facility. The place is clean, it is efficiently run, the staff is caring, the food is good. Since my fathers doctors practice out of Maimonides Hospital, which is connected to the facility with an enclosed bridge, he doesnt even have to leave to get hospital medical care. The staff is sensitive to a patients preferences and religious needs and is responsive to our familys concerns. No one wants to need a rehab facility but if you or a relative have to have one you probably cant do better.
I was surprised to see that the excellent care my mother received here before was NOT in effect tonight! I waited 25 MINUTES before some finally answered and gave me some very brief information about my mother and then hanged up. I didnβt even get to ask any questions other than how is she? Got a brief answer: sheβs ok, we gave her pain medicine, call back tomorrow, I insisted on speaking to her tonight and was able to speak to her for 2 minutes because it was late. Hope tomorrowβs services will be better πππ
My mother was at boro park center and she really loved it! starting from the therapy they gave her. she got 2 hours of therapy every day ,1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the after noon, and then the food she said were delicious . and the entertainment they provided were amazing they make sure that you should feel at home and you should not go bored.i think no one can beat the entertainment they give to the patients.
My grandmother says this place is 5 times as good as downtown Brooklyn nursing and rehabilitation Center. She says the food isnt that enjoyable but shes on a restricted diet so that needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Both pun intended. She gets rehabilitation 5 days per week a few times a day.
My friend was on the 9th floor, she came in gravely Iβll with a lot of bruises and sores after her being there for a little bit more than 2 months she is now running around New York by herself! It is truely unbelievable.Thank you Boro Park Center for everything!!!I would like to shout out the nursing department who are very friendly and caring, and the wonderful rehab department who have been so gracious to all of us.
My experience in Boro Park Center is extremely incredible.I have been PTA for 7 years in the Boro Park Center and I love it. The staff around me are extremely patient and helpful, we are work like a team. The nursing department is great as well.Jeff and Izzy are fantastic leaders.A shout out to all my incredible associates for everything you have done!Thank you David Greenberg, Nachman Feig, and Joseph Gestetner from administration!
Equipment/beds are outdated and some of the medical staff like nurses and nursing assistants are really not great. Administration is actually on top of things if you takj to them aboit issues but you have to be the one to advocate for your family member because no one else will.
No care for elderly patients recovering from surgeries, the medical care is below zero, my father was about to die over there. They left him with very high blood sugar and blood pressure, although, they know he suffers from chronic kidney disease and the elevated blood sugar or blood pressure can jeopardize his life, never recommend it to any. Also, the nurse aids are too rude.
Boro Park Center is an incredible home!I have never received this good costumer service in my entire life! From the care, to the food, to the rehab all 100 stars!David Greenberg, Nachman Feig, and Joseph Gestetner have this place running smoothly and efficiently, they put so much effort on making the residents happy and healthy!
Before my dad passed away in April 2017, the experience I had to go through is so excruciating and tormenting, I still have trouble sleeping and I occasionally get nightmares til this day.My dad was supposed to be in end stage hospice care. For some odd reason, he was checked into the 6th floor for long-term care. Thats where all the crazys are. One lady was stealing my dads lunch. Some nurses forget to give my dad his pain meds while he was left laying there in pain for hours. You wont see any signs of help until hours later. It felt like forever.I got him transferred to another floor. Things were slightly better, but there was hardly anything done for my dads pain condition. Whatever they were giving him wasnt working. The social workers can only do so much. Dr. Po Cheng Chu was supposed to check on my dad. He never did. He predicts my dad will have about 2 weeks to live. I had to threaten them to get them to hospice care to get his pain condition treated. My dad passed the following morning. That was less than 1 week.My overall experience was horrible. Some of nurses and staff members are truly helpful, but the battle of caring for a loved one going through the end stage is a lonely journey. Til this day, I still dont understand why he was transferred to longterm care, where he was experiencing pain everyday, instead of hospice care. Its personally a fishy issue. If your loved one is being admitted here, prepare yourself emotionally because they wont help you with this.
I am writing a Review because I submit it a resume To the Boro Park Center. I received a call from Jeff (Jeffrey) and he left me a message to call him back. I did call back right away he did not answered I kindly left a message at his answering machine to please call me back. Since he did not call me back the same day, I called again the next day in the morning and I left him again a message saying that I was following up with the call for the Rehabilitation Aide Position I applied for. He never call back or responded my message. I find this to be very rude on his part because I try to reach him twice and he did ignored my calls by not calling me back. All I get is his answering machine. Why do you have a job where you are responsible to recruit people and you dont call back. You are Impolite Mr. JEFF
Horrible facility, they gave my 92 year old grandmother an open wound on her leg by abusing her which they refused to bandage, made fun of me and my father when we tried to help my grandmother, dont give showers, dont care about residents, leave clothes dirty, mix up the laundry. And most importantly ARE EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. If my grandmother were dying, chances are they wouldnt realize.
AVOID!!! This one star is for the way it looks. It looks like a decent place but as the others stated it is a hell hole. Nobody does their jobs; CNAs on their phones, nurses gossiping, doctors rushing to leave. They are united in having the answer I dont know...IT IS THEIR JOB TO KNOW. It makes me wonder what happened to cause these people to lose their empathy and sympathy. I hope in the future they have someone treating them the same way they treat patients now. Then they will realize the harm and suffering they caused these old people.
Canβt throw to get Information for a relative.you stay on hold you hear a recording leave a message we will get back to you . No one in this facility knows how to pick up a phone.and give you information . Iβm Mrs. Brown leave your name and number and we will get back to you nobody calls lol no one calls back.. Food Is not fit for a dog..
Worst place, as I guest I came to visit my parents, they have a Biker Cholim Room but empty, no food for family visitors, I had to go over to the hospital and request from Yad Ephraim, but I received a reply that the center does not appreciate when we give there food. think twice before u make a decision to go there!!
Dreadful place. It is like calling a penitentiary when you get someone on the phone. Half the time they hang up on you and the other half you wind up talking to someone who sounds like they are distracted and annoyed to be there. My sick father desribed it as a warehouse. A shameful facility.
Attentions for patients who plan or attending to this Rehabilitation Center East 3rd Floor. Dr. Khabyeh-Hasbani is the worst doctor I ever talk to. If your family members doesnt speak English and you are attending to this rehabilitation, please reconsider for another rehabilitation center!
Bad choice stay away Slaughter house the nurses there are very rude if YOU ask questions they reply with attitude and very nasty patients there are only a number or a case not a human being employees there just count hours or sit behind a computer and care less for a patient my aunt went there for long term care but she received no care she got dehydrated because she wasnt fed and bruises all over her body by being abused by nurses until they killed her
If u want to let your family memory die this is the place they caused my bubby to be in heart failure and kidney failure terrible horrible place I wouldnot give them a star dont give drinks to patients almost milked my BUBBY if u have a family member there get out now 2016-2017

2022-03-06My mother is currently here and Iβm going to remove her from this faculty. Iβm very dissatisfied with the staff caring with patients that are bed π stricken. On Sunday 3/6/22 my mom called me crying and said she wants to be transferred because they are not treating her right. My mothers room is located on the second floor and at the night time the staff close her door from the room so they wonβt her calling them. They did not want to change her diaper. She was left for hours in soil. That is so unsanitary. The staff are very inattentive when it comes to their patients. My mother is very alert and sheβs only there for physical therapy due to an amputation to her foot. I was out of town for the weekend and I called to speak to a supervisor. All calls go to the security then he transferred me the to the nurse supervisor and she was no help and she told me to call 911. When I requested her name she hang the phone on me. When I called back no answer. Iβm so frustrated at this point. Everyone one is so unprofessional. I will be making a formal complaint through my lawyer to the owner Mr. Rosenberg. This is unacceptable and a change of action needs to take place.

2022-05-07Mother fell 3 times causing several broken rib bones and internal bleeding which meant she had to go to the hospital. She received three full blood transfusion due to the internal bleeding. She had 13 fractures. When she was discharged from hospital we were told that her bed had been given to another patient. They put her belongings in a garbage bag and left them on the floor. We had to scramble to find her another nursing home. We are sooooooo glad we found another place. While she been at Boro park she was basically neglected in the form of nurse visits a few times a day and they never answered the buzzer when Mom was asking to go the bathroom. Thatβs why she fell those three times, she tried to go the bathroom on her own.. they then put her in a wheel chair barricaded by a desk so she couldnβt get up and lined her up inthe halllway with the other forgotten people, all wailing and calling for help. Boro park is a living hell.

2022-05-19One of my favorite aspects of this Center is the kind and friendly staff. Everyone is really kind and goes out of their way to help my mum. It appears that they are a huge, happy family.

2021-12-11This place should really deserve a negative star for the way they treat their patient. We were lied to when we tour the facility where they have the most caring staff who would attend to their patient need and the only place that has a doctor to visit their patient. After uncovering their secrets of what they said the doctor will visit the patient once a week was really just a nurse who tries their best to help the patient but at the same time they would respond with not having the equipment or patients background to assist them. The most ridiculous unsafe system they have is where their intercom system was down and left a desk bell for patient to call the staff. We rang the bell many times and they claim they donβt hear it. So what if the patient falls down and screams for help? They ignore it. The person sitting outside of the room where we constantly rang the bell stated that itβs not his job function to tell the staff and nurse that the patient rang the bell. After a days of fighting for this, they finally fixed the intercom. The other absurdity was when they told us that they will only change the patient diaper once a day, so let the patient sit in their soil diaper for the whole day. Now thatβs a medical concern because the patient is holding in their excretion and itβs a danger to the patient. When confronted the staff, she said we are so short staffed that the company mistreats us and we canβt take care of all these patient. They even let the patient soiled where the clothes were all wet and they didnβt care. The most ridiculous thing was the staff literally sat on the chair next to the patient bed, played with her phone and read newspaper for an hour, then decide to Change the diaper pad on the bed and left without changing the patient soiled diaper and clothes. If youβre planning on having a family or friend go into a rehab center, I would advise you to reconsider due to their lack of caring to their patient. Please whoever is reading this please tell me how to get to an elected official or governor to escalate this complaint. They are abusing all their patients .

2021-08-28I did not realize I could not leave no stars. This center does not deserve even one star. This was the worst experience I ever had. I was supposed to go to another rehab that I went to prior that was excellent. The day I was to be transferred the administrator and social worker among others came in and told me this will be fabulous. I was there and took their word. While I was there I fell off my bed and cracked my knee cap. I waited 3 days for an X-ray and was told it was not broken. Meanwhile I had an appointment with my orthopedic and asked him to look at my knee .He told me it was cracked and x rayed it. The next day back at rehab a doctor a nurse practitioner came into my room and told me my knee was not cracked although I was in a stabilizer with notes from my doctor saying it was and what pt was needed. In addition I was not given proper medication and walked around with the worst stomach ache until I realize the problem was with medication and after discussing it with my personal doctor the problem was solved. The place is not clean. The discharge planning was insufficient and left to last minute. I paid for transport home and then was told that would not take my stuff home. I will give it to the rehab they sent their van to take home my things. They forgot to give me my discharge papers and medication. Go elsewhere. They are severely understaffed. The nightmare continues messed up medication I went home with. The home plan was non existent. Wheelchair that does not fit in door but it no one responsible.

2021-12-26Nachmen Feig is a great caring devoted person. Not a place where you want to be with a parent, but having Nachmen around makes everything fun and just makes us smile!!! Nachmen thanks again for all the help. A Chanukah my father will remember

2021-09-27The level of medical care in the nursing home is absolutely horrible- patients and their families are treated with such lack of care, respect and dignity. They force the elderly into bed and often forceful when they ask for assistance with something saying swear words and threatening the patients and their families. When one has a concern or request not only it is not heeded to but they make it your issue and will punish /further abuse the patient and their families. If you have a loved one in need please donβt send them there for their sake and for your sake as well

2021-09-28My father had a bad fall. A few days after had a heart attack. I chose boro Park center because it was near maimodmides hospital in case of any emergency. Worse service EVER! My dad couldnt speak after having a heart attack, therefore I was his voice. I would call the front desk to check in while at work and they had me on hold for hours.. I have a screenshot of me actually being on hold for hours. Id just given birth, therefore, my cousin was the one who was supposed to spend the night with him there. They DENIED HIM to spend the night. My dad was not himself at all. I told them that he needed more care and maybe needed to go back to the hospital and they overlooked everything I said. I said since he cant speak, he needs someone to sit with him in case of an emergency...they denied....I told the nurse that I believed he needed to go to the emergency room asap and no one took me seriously. He passed away a few hours later and the administrator (who I told my concerns to) just said Im sorryIm sure if I sent him to a facility that actually cared he would be alive today.
