Terrible service. We recently bought a new oil tank from them and had to install it in another location. It was delivered and installed but without all of the pieces and parts in place…so, when we ran out of oil in the old tank, we spent a week calling for service. Saw 4 or 5 technicians (I lost count) always a different one and had to explain to them ourselves what was going on. We were without heat for a full day and night while we waited for it all to be connected properly. There was no continuity on this job, bad management, no one was in charge from start to finish. They were happy to sell us the tank but then we felt left on our own with the transition. Miserable experience.
I purchased my home three years ago as a weekend escape from the city. After an incident of substandard work by a local vendor, a friend recommended I contact Bottini. I had to sign on for oil deliveries to obtain service on my equipment. I gave it a shot and have never looked back. Bottini remotely monitors my fuel level so that even though my home is no longer just a weekend escape, I have peace of mind knowing I will never be stuck without oil in a snowstorm!Last week I called Bottini for service in one of my heating zones that would not shut off. I called in the morning and was told they would try to get to me the same day but they had lots of calls already. I was not concerned since the temperatures were in the 60s. By evening no one had arrived so I figured they would come the next day. To my surprise, Technician John showed up in my driveway at 8:30 pm! He quickly determined the problem and replaced my zone valve. The entire process took about 30 minutes. Many Thanks to the fabulous Bottini Staff!
Bottini has the best customer service around - they service our home for heating fuel, propane and our boiler system. They offer fair pricing, provide regular and timely tank refills based on an algorithm of usage that is very accurate, and last minute appointments for urgent service calls when things break. They arrive when they say they will, are professional and clean when they are here, and give helpful maintenance tips for us folk who know nothing about boiler systems. Highly recommended.

I purchased fuel oil and propane when we first moved into our house a year ago. We had excellent service from the Bottini staff. About halfway through our first year, the furnace would not ignite. I called Bottini and they sent a technician the next day and he managed to repair the furnace. The technician was very professional as were the technicians who installed our propane line to the fireplace we purchased. I would highly recommend Bottini for any fuel related services.
Suspected malfunction of burner called to request help. fixer arrived at dawn or so and replaced a part; warned me of low level or oil. called to request early delivery. arrived next day. thank you ken
Bottini provides great service at a great price. Service men are always friendly and helpful. Since purchasing my first home a year ago i have had bottini. Since then I have had 2 emergency issues with my boiler on a weekend of course. Both times they came to my rescue the same day and the service was completely covered by their service plan.
Weve had Bottini since we bought our house, almost 8 years ago. Their staff are always prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Since this was our first house - I didnt know a lot about how our boiler worked - and the gentleman who came to service it the first time really took the time to show us how it worked and whatever we needed to know. Auto refills are a big help! They even allow you to pay your bill in payments, if you dont have the total available when you get the bill. The low cost maintenance plan is worth it for the spring time tune-up. I recommend Bottini to anyone who moves in near me!
Bottini has always been easy to deal with and attentive whenever weve called them or had questions. No one likes having to pay utility bills, but they do as best with it as anyone. Recommended!

Our road gets icey in the winter. No trucks of any kind can get up the road at times. Bottini used a special all wheel drive vehicle to deliver us fuel. When our boiler had issues they got to us in a few hours. I sleep well knowing how dependable Bottini is to us. I highly recommend Bottini.
We all know how much we rely on fuel/propane to keep us warm, allow us to prepare our meals and take that luxurious shower or bath and the end of a long day. Bottini has always given excellent service and I dont know what else to say...you are safe with this company. However there were a couple of instances of misunderstanding, etc. but thats normal, so I wouldnt know what to say specifically

They messed up every step of the installation and even the delivery (filled a 230 gallon tank that was from an old company and was unhooked up on the lawn). They couldn’t have done a worse job if they tried. I will never use them again for anything.
Waiting for well over an hour and not confident they’ll show up since this isn’t the first time. I guess we’ll be taking cold showers this weekend. Very frustrating experiences with them which includes forgetting equipment, sending the wrong person who can’t fix the problem (although I was quite specific about the issue over the phone,) forgetting to call indicating they’re on the way or telling me they’re on the way when they’re not. Looks like Monday I’ll be shopping for a new fuel company.
I live in New Paltz and we had some people come to service the apartment building where I live today. The repair man was right under the vents in my apartment screaming profanities for about an hour straight. He proceeded to scream about how all he does is fix other peoples [insert profanity here]. Well, yeah, that is what he is supposed to be doing because thats his job. On top of that, I started to cook lunch and the power went out in my kitchen while they were downstairs. One of the other tenants went downstairs to check to see what was going on and I hear them screaming at her for going down there. Shes a nice woman and merely introduced herself (with no introduction back) and checked the fuse box. The behavior of this worker was totally unacceptable, and if I were his employer I would be embarrassed to send him into other peoples homes. When youre waiting for your call to be answered when you call Bottini, the recording will talk about how they pride themselves by being trustworthy and making peoples homes safe. That wont be the case if this guy comes to your home! Another tenant who could also hear the ruckus called and they seemed concerned but later excused his behavior because the service man told his boss that our neighbor was the problem. It was pretty clear he was the issue, and his boss should know that some people obviously dont like to admit when theyre wrong. All in all, I understand some people get frustrated at work, but to be screaming and vulgar at work for an hour straight, and then to do that to a tenant, is quite frankly just vile and not how one should behave at work.
Everything was good. The service tech was pleasant and knowledgeable. The only thing was that I was told I had a morning appointment and they showed up at 12:30.
Bottini replaced my oil fired water boiler and oil tank. All work was done timely and and professionally. The area was left clean. Everything works fine.
We have been customers for many years and have always received excellent service. I have called a couple times though the years even late at night and a service associate has always come and taken care of the problem. On a yearly basis I have never been disappointed .The team is friendly and knowledgeable and always there for us I couldnt ask for better service.
I found Bottini Fuel quite by accident thanks to a dear friend (unbeknown to her) who steered me in a wonderful new direction. I had been complaining for too many years. I had been served with delivery after delivery of propane from one company (probably well known and immensely successful) whose rate continued to escalate until I searched for a better one, sometimes taking me a few years.Then, the successor, while seemingly was better for a brief while, slowly increased their rate beyond what was fair and reasonable. My dear friend, Eva Rogers, (rip no longer with us) told us about the Bottini Family and Fuel Company and how they treated her with respect and fairness and even when times were tough, they worked with her after her wonderful friend of ours and her devoted husband, Bruce, passed. We spent many a Christmas holiday with them and several friends from Kerhonkson and will be forever grateful for learning about and changing permanently to Bottini Fuel. Bottini Fuel has been rockin our world ever. Thank you Bottini Fuel.
Had to turn off gas to do work and wanted to make sure everything was reconnected when I turned back on. Technician was great and super helpful and showed me how to make sure all units were good to go when connected.Thanks!
I have been trying to get my furnace repaired and have had alot of mixed messages from Bottini....., no call backs, non-truths(I tried to call you multiple time) hes not at his desk, can I take a message(many times). Last service call, I was told to buy my own belt even though I have a service plan. I am 65 years old with a furnace that needs repair that I cant use. It was below freezing last night. Maybe this review will get someone from the office to call and arrange to come and fix it. The customer service used to be ALOT better

2022-08-09Quick response to apparent problem with fuel burner (it shut itself down). Experienced tech checked everything out and found no real problem. Frequent power outages probably responsible. In general, a service contract with Bottini is a good investment in peace of mind.

2022-03-05When the technician arrived he discovered that the furnace had backed up/gotten clogged and before he could figure out what exactly the issue was he had to clean a god awful mess. After cleaning the mess up he then figured out the repair done back back in Nov actually had caused the problem due to the wrong size nozzle being inserted. After the better part of 2 hours he had done a very reasonable job of clean-up and made the proper repair. I was impressed with his workmanship and diligence. Im sorry I dont know the technicians name, but that should be in the records.

2022-05-24When the service tech. finished servicing the furnace (cleaning) he left. We later discovered he did not put the hot water heater back on. We called to get him back at 3:30. No one came back. When we call again, they had no record of first call. Much later that day, a different service man came to hook the heat back up. Needless to say, this was quite frustrating. We are grateful for the second guy who came and fixed the problem left by the first guy.

2022-03-31I have not been with Bottini for very long...When we moved here about 10 years ago the oil was being delivered by Kosco....But as Kosco got bigger, theirdelivery and customer service went down..We decided to try another company. We decided to tryBottini..We have been with them quite a few years nowand we have never been disappointed. When we callfor a delivery they are here the next day....When I was offered a lower price from Kosco to re-join i refused....They are a really great, local, reliable company..I highly recommend.

2022-04-01Everyone Ive dealt with from Bottini Fuel has been professional, courteous and attentive to my many questions and requests as I moved into a older home in the area. From oil delivery to furnace setup and parts replacement. Its a first-rate operation from what I can tell.I’m just adding an additional note to say that I’m continuously pleased with this company. Every interaction is excellent. I’d recommend them to anyone.

2022-05-23Bottini is good at sending a technician within hours when the heat goes out; but not good at sending technicians who know what they’re doing. I got charged over $300 for useless repairs before the third technician I saw correctly diagnosed the problem as oil gelling up in an exposed pipe when temperatures hit the teens at night. And it took a fourth technician to explain the anti-gel I started adding wasn’t working because it evaporates quickly.UPDATE: The furnace had started shutting down even when it wasn’t cold. Bottini sent one of their best guys, and he worked for hours, trying solution after solution and consulting with the office. And in the end he got it. It was completely fixed: didn’t shut down anymore, and didn’t thunder when it started up. (But we’re still going to insulate that exposed pipe!)

2021-08-17We are switching to Bottini from another propane service. The account set up through Sales Dept with John Hughes went smoothly. Our service technician, Joey Bagata, was polite, friendly and efficient. We will definitely ask for him again if any service is needed in the future! So far our experience with Bottini customer service is excellent.
