I was ready to commit and I had a couple of questions, but the disgusting attitude on the phone turned me off. I don t think Boxie cares for any customers. Even if it is full service, its not worth it with their deliverance of poor customer service. They need to get it together!
Avoid this company at all costs!! You will thank me later. They damaged and lost my belongings (e.g. dropped and damaged my TV, destroyed my mattress, shattered my kitchenware, and flat out lost several other items). I purchased their highest level of insurance, which was only $2,000 and they refused to honor it. After trying for weeks to get them to do the right thing, they instead insisted on giving me the run around avoiding blame for their gross negligence. I am now forced to file a civil action to have this matter resolved. With the countless other moving companies in NY, do yourself a favor and seek reliable service elsewhere.
Hector was fantastic. Showed up right on time after letting me know 30 mins before where they were and that there was no traffic. They packed all our furniture well, some outside so it would fit the shafts. Swift and thorough is how Id surprise them. They mark everything in their app so that nothing can get lost and with a press of a button they show up to bring back. Thanks, Hector and team.
Boxie has been very easy to work with. We had to reschedule our pick up 4(!) times and it was always easy to reach them, even on email. On pick up day they came and got it down super quick and easily. Great service!
Brought my stuff back and everything in similar condition to how I left it. They weent the same guys bringing it back vs those who picked it up, but they were carrying carefully and clearly thinking about being kind. They were the lower price online and it was good to see they delivered with quality service too.
Boxie24 is an incredibly professional outfit. The customer service (a shout out to James Carroll serving the NYC area!) was amazingly good - respectful, helpful and above and beyond the call of duty! I had a mishap with my building and had to reschedule my pick up at the last minute - Boxie24 was completely accommodating and understanding. Their rates are very reasonable and the moving crews are on-time and very careful with the belongings. I found the experience down-right pleasant - which is never the case with moving. I highly recommend them.
I highly recommend Boxie24! I had all of my items collected today so I can have them stored for up to a month, and the movers were so friendly, accommodating, prepared and fast. Eric, Jose and Daniel were just great! Eric was especially really communicative and friendly. Really appreciate their help. Kevin at their office has been very helpful, clear and responsive over the phone and over email. I was able to book my pick up date at short notice, was able to book a time frame that worked best for me, and the price is honestly pretty good.
I am truly so impressed. This was my first time using a storage unit. I was out of town and the Boxie team was in close communication with my roommate to get everything picked up and stored for me.Very affordable pickup, monthly storage rent, and delivery prices.Customer service was so great in getting things scheduled to deliver. I had done extensive research, compared many different companies service offerings and pricing. I had to leave New York at short notice and Boxie24 was able to assist. They offered the same service at a more cost effective price than the other companies. They even offered to beat a competitors quote by 5%! They arrived early and started to move my items, they were moving fast, but were being extremely careful with my items. I sent through an inventory list 2 days before as required and also presented a physical copy to the team. They went over this as they were loading the truck. Looking forward to getting my items back upon my return. I would definitely recommend Boxie24 for anyone needing a stress free storage experience.
I had the absolute best experience with boxie 24, last July I needed a place to store my belongings for ~9 months and from the first correspondence the salesperson was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. They arrived on time the day of the pickup and moved fast and were very polite. Fast forward 9 months they delivered my stuff this past Saturday and it was in great condition, nothing broken (I also packed my stuff well) and very fast service! Thank you boxie 24 for making this process go so smoothly!

I am truly so impressed. This was my first time using a storage unit. they are very professional and efficient, they always on time, brought me the boxes one day ahead of the move on time, the next day they came and had the move and wrapping all my stuff in less than one hour everything was out of the apartment. I really recommend them to anyone thinking to move and store stuff. not to mention the really competitive prices and offers they offer.
The WORST customer service!!! I could not get in contact with a representative after inserting a payment method. No confirmation emails!They do not answer the phone, and if they do its after being placed on an automatic hold for no less than 10 minutes.
The pick up was a little rushed with driver contacting 20min before arrival and I had to move all my items to the first floor without enough time. But the move was pretty smooth and they are easy to contact.
Boxie essentially saved the day. When I decided to empty out my storage and move my belongings via common carrier, they agreed to put my boxes on pallets and drop them off at a freight terminal on my behalf. I was giving James daily updates on the phone, and he personally made sure that everything was just so. And the movers - Francisco, Alex and Gaspar - were incredibly kind. Ive never experienced someone other than me care so much about my belongings.
Honestly it was such an amazing experience having my storage at Boxie24. The customer service is outstanding (thank you Kevin!). Youre assigned one person for your account and it makes a world of a difference (youll never have to explain anything - they just get it and have your profile down). The movers were professional, speedy and kind. I had my things in storage for six months and had to remove/add things multiple times and the experience was quick and seamless. After hearing horror stories of storage/moving companies in New York I really couldnt recommend this company more. Thank you for the outstanding service!
We had a great experience with Boxie24. Two weeks prior to our move the team arrived promptly and dropped off all the storage bins we would need, which gave us time to pack everything up. On the day of our move the team even showed up early and started moving everything downstairs and to the truck. They were extremely fast but very careful not to damage our items or the apartment. They even managed to get our couch out through the back door, over the balcony railing and down the stairs! Overall it was one of the best moving experiences we’ve had, for a price lower than even the sketchiest NYC movers, and were alerted later that day that our items had safely arrived at the storage facility. We would definitely recommend Boxie24 to anyone looking to move their belongings into storage!
I am absolutely appalled by the service we received! We got our stuff back and a bunch of it was destroyed, there are some belongings missing, and we received some items that don’t belong to us. And for nearly a $200 return fee. They should be more diligent. Trying to contact anyone is near impossible. This place is awful and apparently has no intent on customer satisfaction. If you want a positive, the movers were quick to pick up our stuff.

I had a very positive experience working with Boxie24. Their customer service (namely Kevin Merdjan) walked me through everything I needed to know and were patient while I shopped around. Scheduling my pick-up appointment was easy, the movers were polite and quick, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. One thing to note is that the movers do not do the packing for you, and it is key to ensure your items are properly wrapped and packaged. I knew this and agreed to it ahead of time, so there were no issues. Id recommend using Boxie24 for your storage needs!
Boxie24 was absolutely excellent service. It is hard to find a full service moving company with storage that is affordable in New York City. I was also extremely pleased with their customer service, specifically from their agents. Staff was very pleasant to speak to, always took time to answer my questions throughly, and was very quick to communicate with me during my planning of the move and when I needed my items returned. Highly recommend this company if you need a part-time storage & moving company!
I looked all over for reasonable mini storage to take care of my stuff while I’m out of the city indefinitely. Boxie was super helpful and easy. Kevin worked with me to find exactly the right storage unit for my stuff and went over the pricing with me very patiently. On the pick-up day, the movers were a little late but they worked so fast it was all over by dinner time. They were friendly and professional. I’m so grateful.
Boxie24 was great from start to finish! Kevin, whom I spoke with over the phone was very helpful and made the process a breeze. I was able to secure a move on a Sunday at end of month, which was nearly impossible with any other company. When the movers arrived, they were professional, wore masks, disassembled furniture and packed up all fragile items. The process was quick and easy, thanks again all who helped me out!

The Boxie crew was swift and professional. I am storing an entire bedroom of items and not only did they arrive when expected, they were in and out of my apt within 20 minutes. Communicating with the company has been easy and reliable for any additional needs that I have had.Hoping the return of my items from storage will be as smooth as the pickup. Ive used many moving companies in my time in NYC, and this company ranks among the lowest quality. Now, Im pretty sure this place is much more of a pick up stuff already in boxes and store it for you sort of place, so perhaps I was asking them to do something outside their wheelhouse. I have a 2 BR apartment in Brooklyn, so I had A LOT of large furniture. I made sure they knew that via constant communication with the logistics manager, Kevin (who was EXCELLENT). I made sure they knew I had a bed frame, sofa, tv unit, dining table and chairs, etc. that needed extreme care and wrapping. I was told that would be totally fine and even paid an extra $199 for them to do it. I was meticulous about creating a manifest list for them with sizes and weights.The movers (4 of them) showed up on the designated morning. They had NOTHING. No blankets, No tape, no tools. They were clearly just ready to pick up some boxes and go. They made no mention of the manifest and they were shocked that nothing was done. They proceeded to just put it on the truck. I watched terrified as they treated my furniture like garbage. I rushed out to buy blankets and tape for them to use. They did a little bit, and I jumped in to do it all myself as quick as I could. It was truly awful and after they took my stuff away, I have no clue what shape it will be in when they bring it back in a year.When I went down to my building lobby after theyd left, they left it in complete disarray and had LEFT one of my boxes AND their dolly. I had to call them to come back!I contacted Kevin immediately and he was horrified as well and I was assured he would contact the owner, James, and it would be looked into.Outcome:I was refunded the $199 fee with no explanation as to why this happened.Was told I would be retroactively given a credit for the first month that was supposed to be 10% off and was not.I was told the first month would be free, but apparently that was a mistake.I got an ear full from one of the four movers about how hed just started and he was working with a bunch of idiots. That didnt make me feel too great.At any rate, the price here is great, but...they ARE NOT movers. Theyre more of a storage company that just picks up your stuff. Im VERY worried about the condition of my things. I wouldnt use them again.
We had been a happy customer customer of another storage company and were very sad when they were no longer around. I tried a couple of other places with horrible results and then found BOXIE 24. I am so relieved to have my very precious possessions in their capable hands. We do a seasonal wardrobe switch twice a year as living in New York you never have enough closet space. The fact that they were so available by phone was such an important thing for me. They followed up promptly with a voice call to make sure all went smoothly. I highly recommend this company.
I used Boxie24 for the first time in Jan 2021. The entire service was first class, all emails/calls are answered immediately, they are flexible to meet customers needs. On the day of the move, the movers were professionals in the job - and also absolute gentlemen- doing everything possible to make the move as stress-free as possible in the most considerate way.
Although I moved during a hectic time (end of Sept), Boxie was super accommodating. I consulted with many different storage companies, but Boxie was not only willing to assist me in every way, they also provided great deals. The box drop off and pick up were so seamless. Im happy I went with them!
It was such a pleasant and smooth experience Ive ever encountered with storage, moving in/out service. From the very first beginning of conversation to find out details about the service, reserving space, dropping off containers, and moving out items from the apt, a whole process was really impressed. Packed all of my dorm stuff beginning of the pandemic. received my boxes a year and a half later, and everything was in nice condition! They delivered the boxes so quickly and efficiently, and picked up the empty boxes the same way too. Thank you!!

The service is great and they will work with you with any needs you have. The prices are also great. I love the simple and the easy to understand site and no hidden fees! Over all a great experience specially in a very busy time that is now they were able to offer a lot of dates for pick up with out extra charge.

We had items in storage with Boxie in NY and underwent a seemless international move thanks to their help. Since we were not in state, we were unable to sort through our storage items in person. Boxie went through all our boxes and helped us to dicard any items that werent allowed to be imported through international customs (e.g., any food items). They were readily available to talk over phone or text and made us feel that our belongings were in good hands.
I was shocked how much the workers were able to do individually and as a team. Clearly they have experience because wrapping, lifting, and moving all without ANY questions once they saw what needed to be moved was amazing. I was compelled to tip them everything I had in my wallet. I highly recommend this service.

I had an incredible time dealing with Boxie24 when I needed a sort of full service offering. I was out of the country and needed to have the items picked up from my apartment, everything was pre packed into boxes and furniture was dismantled. I dealt with Kevin over the phone when it came to sales, Kevin was patient with me and explained everything in depth and Sibz (customer service) was the best and answered all my questions. The team met my friend at my apartment, used moving blankets to pad the furniture that I did not wrap and took everything to storage. After seaching for a storage company that could come to me to pick up and store my items during the last week of the holidays (The week of New Years Eve) and that was inexpensive I came upon the Boxie24 self storage Company. I was hesitant to call them since Ive never heard of them before and thought they were some fly by night comp that would surely disappear with my items once they got them. BOY, was I wrong! First, the customer service rep with whom I spoke with, Kevin, was extremely patient and helpful in helping me decide what unit would best suite me, not trying to sell me the most expensive one.Now, when the movers came to get my items, again, I couldnt have been any more thrilled with their service. Not only were they helpful in helpng me move a few things around to get to the items (My place looked like a tornado hit it after packing stuff up) There was one item that I really wante them to take, but I couldnt disassemble it and it was the one item I REALLY wanted out of my place. Well, these 2 young men took their time to help me figure it out and was able to finally take it apart. Most of then would have told me, we have other jobs, weve been here longer than we should, nope, they said non of that. they took their time to help me and that meant a lot to a frustrated, single parent who at that time, was at her wits end!I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a storage company, they are truly awesome and I am not one to write testimonies, but they were worth my time to do so.Signed,One happy customer
I used Boxie24 to move within the city during the pandemic. They dropped off the plastic green bins (yay no paper boxes) and delivered them safely to my new apartment.They also helped me with crating some of my larger art prints and stored them for almost a year . My stuff came back in great condition as I was worried about mold forming on the paper of the prints etc. - but thankfully it was returned in good condition.I would definitely recommend using them if you want to save some money. I got some pretty crazy quotes in the market.
My review is specifically for customer service as opposed to the actual move: the whole process of scheduling was extremely pleasant and helpful. Kevin and Lucas were prompt with responses to my queries, took their time to work out a plan thatd fit my needs best, and were very accommodating. I had to change my plans (so I didnt proceed with the move), but I definitely know where Im going next time I have to move simply because of the pleasant customer service.
Boxie24 was super flexible and helpful when I was moving - they provide a moving service alongside the storage service which was easy to schedule, it was also COVID safe, the movers distanced and hand sanitized and they wore masks the whole time. If I need a storage service again Ill use Boxie24!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYDue to Covid, I was relocating temporarily out of NY so needed to put my things in storage. I was on a very tight timeline but Kevin was able to get me a pickup appointment. I was diligent in wrapping my things in moving plastic, bubble wrap, etc. The 3 movers that picked up my things seemed great, although they were not using blankets in the truck to ensure safe transport. Fast forward to delivery to my new apartment on 9/1. It was obvious from the start that only one of the two movers had experience, so much that I sent an email DURING the delivery as I already knew there was damage to my items. So many items were damaged, and all were in brand new condition (purchased last July, only used through March). I have deep scratches in solid wood dresser (plus water damage), bed frame & tv stand, shattered glass shelves, scratched up painted bookcase, shattered dishes, and scratched bar cart. On top of all this I was missing a box. They eventually found it, but when delivering the driver was lost and I had to walk 3 blocks to find him and carry my heavy box back myself. Kevin assured me in the beginning that he would do whatever it took to make this right. Claiming that he was in touch with the US COO, CEO and operations manager as well as the Founder & CEO in the Netherlands. It is SHOCKING to me that if all of these people knew the amount of damage that was done with only a 1 Bedroom apartment, they wouldnt want to do everything they could to make it right. Now they are claiming the best they can do is basic insurance coverage which is based on weight. The damage to my items has no relation to how much they weigh....They still havent confirmed any refund of the services as well. I paid for safe storage and delivery, neither of which was upheld. My sister was also relocating temporarily and is storing with Boxie as well. We have NO CONFIDENCE in how her things will be returned. If you care AT ALL about your belongings, DO NOT STORE WITH BOXIE.

This is the third time i have received a partial piece of my goods back. I used rhe app from the start, so for me it is very easy to pinpoint what i want back. My apartment is tiny, so i store a lot. Yesterday i received my lp player, tennis racket, golf clubs and some clothes back. All in good condition. Most importantly, when they called me to confirm, I was connected the storage manager to go over everything and making sure i didnt want stuff back i had inquired about the last time. Thorough customer service.
We cannot express enough how wonderful the team at Boxie24 has been. When the pandemic hit hard in March, we had already gone down to NYC to get our daughter. At that time, her school felt they would just be closed for a week so, we left her dorm items behind. Within the week, everything was closing down (including her school) and we couldnt make the 5 hour drive back to the city to pack up her dorm. As things got worse, we were in a panic as to how we would take care of her dorm room since nothing could be left behind . Kevin at Boxie24 was great! He set up a team to pack up her dorm and they kept everything in storage until we were able to retrieve them. Weve just recently been able to get back down to the city and Kevin was, once again, so helpful in setting up the delivery along with a location that would work for us since our daughter is unable to go back to campus life this year. Absolutely loved them, I used them when I moved in with my mates and couldnt fit all of my stuff into my new apartment. Since we all know how cramped NYC apartments are. Its also nice to know that you can check up on your things whenever, without the hassle of having to rent a car to take things out. The delivery of the boxes is pretty smooth, and flexible. The staff are polite and helpful. I would highly recommend to any of my friends who are looking to store things.
Exceptional service in every way.I cannot say enough amazing things about Boxie24 Storage. We had only a month to coordinate our international move and I looked high and low for a storage company in NYC that was reasonably priced with good reviews. Boxie24 not only seemed to be the only one that fit that category, they went above and beyond in every way.From the start, James was exceptionally helpful to talk through what I needed and was seemingly always available (the man needs to sleep more!) for all my random questions. The set-up and sale could not have been any simpler or more straight-forward. We had a single day that would work for us and James made sure we had that time secured.Then came the dream team. Gerome, Marlon, and Edwin arrived on the earlier side of the time window and gave us a heads up on their way in. We were actually amazed they were early and still packing a few things. No worries, they said, they went about removing boxes so we had more room to pack (it is NYC after all). They were exceptionally efficient and careful with everything. They gave us recommendations as we were packing in order to ensure the next team handling at the warehouse would take just as much care. I forgot I had to pick up a package I wanted to put in storage and they waited for me to run and grab it. Ive never had an exceptional experience with moving and storage, until Gerome and team arrived.Though we wont be getting our boxes dropped off for another 18 months or so, the front end of my experience with Boxie24 was beyond my expectations. Thank you for making a stressful and horrible thing so simple and pleasant. The teams professionalism and kindness was 5 stars and greatly appreciated. My husband and I are truly grateful. Collection process was smooth. Received a 5 hour timeslot and was called 30 mins prior to collection. Staff were in touch throughout the prior day and I was given direct points of contact. I was also squeezed in with a few days notice on a Saturday (as I was flying Sunday) for which Im grateful!
I used Boxie for when I was moving into a smaller apartment in Astoria. The booking process was very easy and James was very helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. The guys came, took my stuff, and when I needed it back, I got it the next day. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend using this company.

Great service. i dealt with Sibz who was wonderful. everything was moved quickly and the guys did a great job wrapping everything. they were also the least expensive. Great service.
STAY AWAY FROM BOXIE24. My husband and I had the most terrible experience with them. Every single one of our items was returned in a damaged state -- 52 TV broken, mattress was BLACK with dirt and our box spring had holes, the wood on our dresser and night stands was completely chipped, living room lamp broken, dining table scratched, file cabinet with legs missing, fragile boxes returned with holes in them, and so on!!!We filed a claim with them, sent pictures, detailed descriptions of the damage to each item, receipts with the original item price, but it was an uphill battle to get even a fraction of the damage reimbursed. Dont be fooled by their charming customer service, Kevin actually has no power or authority and whenever you ask to speak to a manager or someone higher up in the organization you are ignored. They do not care about their customers, and much less about their belongings. They should be shut down due to their gross negligence.
I use Boxie24 to store my seasonal clothing- I have no room in my little apartment. The guys dropped off the boxes for me to pack, came back the next day to take them away &I’ve already scheduled a return for when it starts to get cold. It’s super convenient and really affordable for NYC standards.
In a stressful time, Boxie24 made me feel at ease. The move went smoothly and everyone was professional. I would recommend them to anyone moving during these uncertain times!

2022-08-10STAY AWAY! While Boxie24 has kind customer service workers - however their movers could not be worse. The majority of my belongings that I left in storage for only a month came back broken or filthy. Things are not even slight damaged but shattered. My mattress was wrapped in a plastic covering before and came back covered in dirt and leaves like it had been dragged through the street. Boxes labeled fragile had huge holes/dents and some were even left upside down despite being labeled “this side up.” One of my boxes is missing and they left some of my things in storage even though I asked for it all back. When they had to redeliver it the movers tried to take one of my boxes claiming they gave me someone else’s belongings (this wasn’t true the box was mine). The movers took my bed frame apart without asking, didn’t put it back together or give me the screws for it. They didn’t even mention that they broke everything. I realized once they had already taken my tip and left. THESE MOVERS ARE CARELESS AND RECKLESS. I have moved 3 different times in my years of living in New York and have never had an issue with other moving companies. It has been over a week and I still have not received a refund or additional compensation for all that was ruined and now needs to be replaced. Would give 0 stars if I could.

2022-05-27Excellent experience! Customer Service was so responsive with any/all questions I had! (there were a lot!) They were flexible when I realized we needed to change the size of our storage - We ordered the boxes (I just wish you could get 10 instead of 20 minimum- thats why 4 stars) The price was great! The convenience (and cost savings in current Gas prices) of not having to shlep our daughters stuff back home and again to NYC in the Fall, when College restarts, was worth every penny! Highly recommend!!

2022-05-01Boxie24 has been my go to company for YEARS during the pandemic when I needed to store some things everything was taken care of in such a professional manner and all of my belongings were in tip top shape when I got them back. Fast forward to 2 years and they are still doing the best work , theyre super fast and efficient and was careful with all my belongings nothing was broken! Thank you SO much!!

2022-05-20Boxie24 is easy to set up and use. I use the service to store my air conditioner units when out of season during the fall and winter. Come summer time, I set up an item switch to drop off the AC units and a pick up for my space heaters when they are out of season. The guest services team is top notch and always respond quickly to emails. Theres clear communication with Boxie24 and myself when it comes to items in storage. And getting a pick up and/or drop off is such a breeze. Even the movers are considerate, fast, and friendly! Its worth it when you live in NYC and you have limited space in your apartment.
