The overall service I received was alright. I wish they are more transparent about the pricing, and offer more valid suggestions. I replaced two rotors for $100 + each, which is fine if its high quality, but after questioning, I only got the manufacturer (Centric) of the rotor, not the part number. Centric rotor ranges from $13 - $300, and mine doesnt resemble the high end version. They also said car battery terminal is dead, and suggested replacement. I declined. After cleaning the terminals, removing corrosions, and testing it under oscilloscope, it works just fine. It holds charge well, and has negligible voltage drop when starting the car. They do decent work, but do research before visit.
Brandons by far is the best place to take your car my father started going to Brandons in 1988 and I just recently took one of my vehicles across the country and Niall took care of it they are absolutely the best I wouldnt go anywhere else if I lived in Queens or Western Long Island
Service used to be good not anymore. I went yesterday and the mgr was awful. Tells me my car need 3 hrs to cool down I drove to a gas station and paid 8 dollars for coolant and was able to get to my job. I have an old honda all it needed was coolant. Works fine. Brandon himself is a nice guy but the person I spoke with yesterday need to take a customer service class.
Im very happy that Brendans is in my neighborhood. They are very reliable, they give useful suggestions and wont overcharge for anything. Their price is very reasonable. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful too. I have been a customer there for more than 3 years, for two different cars.
I scheduled an appointment for regular maintenance. It was my first visit. I really like the fact that I was able to bring my car in at 7am. Its very convenient for me. I was able to get my service done before going into work. The whole process was smooth and professional. I cant complain about pricing. Synthetic oil was the majority of the cost for the work done and thats expected. I would recommend this shop and I will likely return again.
Brendans been my go-to place for motor vehicle services & repairs, for over 20 years...They are are honest and fair (not a cheap, fly-by-night type repair shop)... and they get it done right - the first time!They have no problem telling me when a repair/maintenance - that I asked for - is not necessary...(Most other places would have no problem doing the work anyways and charging me for it.)A real professional bunch of guys (and gal). Highly recommended.
Had my oil changed here on a tight schedule. They were upfront with timing and ensured that I could come in the next day at a specific time. Very little waiting and friendly employees. Some places make a big deal about not giving any time estimates but they were more empathetic and helpful. Ill be returning here in the future. Great customer service.
I have been using Brendans Service Center to service all of my cars for the past several years and have received nothing but excellent high quality service. They always prioritize the work that needs to be done to my cars and tell me what can wait and what work is necessary at the time.
Wonderful and knowledgeable. Employees are respectful and able to address all concerns and general inquiry. I brought my 2015 Altima in for an oil change and tire rotation. Great prices and really quick work. Got the oil I requested along with saving 3 bucks by bringing my own oil filter. Definitely will do business with them again. A+++++++++++++++
We have been having our cars serviced at Brendans for many years. Our latest experience was like all the others. We were treated with professionalism, courtesy and friendliness. Expert mechanics and honest business practices make Brendans the only place well ever take our cars.
This is a class act but priced sensibly. All my repairs are computerized and can be checked. The staff, Niall, Brian, Azzad all have good communication skills, explaining what they find, making recommendations per your needs, honestly. I am so glad my family and I have a good mechanic like Brendans. If you go there, you and your car will be happy!.
Very honest and very trustworthy. But then... you never truly know with a mechanic.I will say, however, that a year or two ago, they did work on my car and removed a dust cover for something like $30. It fixed so many noises and it cost so little, I was really impressed.
My go to place for service, please avoid BP/parsons service on 73rd and parsons. They have experienced mechanics here. They do servicing and will always remind you what you need done but theyre not super pushy. They do good work, I always leave a tip for any mechanic that works on my car. Thanks Brendans.
BEWARE!!!!!!Brendans no longer offers services where the costumer is treated like family. All they are looking for now is profits and damn the costumers. Since I bought my new car in 2002, no other mechanic but Brendan mechanics, have ever touched my car. A short time ago the window on passenger side of the car slipped off the track. I also noted that the back window, behind the driver side, had an electric short and the window was not opening and closing. I made an appointment with Brendans and dropped off my car and went home. Hours later I got a call and was told that they opened the door panel and noted the problem with the window on the passenger side. What was holding it in place was broken and they could either weld it together for a fee of $250 or replace the whole window for a fee of $350. Mind you, the window was not cracked or broken but I was told they could not get that broken piece by it self. The other window had some kind of electrical short and they noted it had power but some wire was shorted and would need to open it all up and that would also cost $200! I bulked at the high prices and thought I should bring the car directly to the car glass dealers on Liberty Avenue to get a second opinion. Over the phone, I asked Brendans NOT to make any repairs and that I would pick up the car. They said they needed to charge for the diagnosis they made on the two windows. The price $98 for each window for a total of $213.40!!!! I picked up the car and asked about the high cost of the diagnosis and was told that they spent so much time opening up the door panels hence the high price. I paid and took my car immediately to a glass dealer on Liberty Ave. and there were many dealers. I drove to one and told him the problem. He took his drill removed four screws and popped the door panel and saw the problem. His diagnosis took less that one minute. They replaced the entire window and track for $100. Likewise he opened the back door panel, again under a minute and told me yes there was power coming from the button but there was a short and a wire would be changed and I could take it to an electrical place and it should the cost should be under a hundred dollars. I asked him how much I owed him for that diagnosis and he laughed and said no charge. I spent a total of 15 minutes at this car window dealer.I drove back to Brendans and told them that I knew now, what their diagnosis entailed and it was the removing of four screws and popping a panel and looking. Brendans, my family service station, charged me $98 for that diagnosis something that took under a minute of work. I told him that I would never return to Brendans and I tell anyone out their to do the same. I spoke to friends who I had recommended Brendans over the years and was surprised that two of them already told me that they no longer go there as their prices are too high. STAY FAR AWAY!
Avoid this place at ALL costs they are scammers! I got there 9am today for an inspection and it took them almost an hour an half. After the inspection, they told me I had a problem with my car and I needed ANOTHER diagnosis which they charged me freaking 100$! Finally, after 4 hours, they told me that my transmission was partially broken and I was going to have to pay almost 3,000$ to fix it in order to pass inspection. With me being a naive college student (with a 2007 Toyota Corolla) they tried to take that to their advantage and make me pay. I left right away and went to a shop someone recommended to me. There, they took me in right away, found the problem (my transmission wasnt broken), fixed it, and gave me my inspection all in 45min-1hr. Saved me thousands of dollars! Learn from my mistake and DONT come here!!!!!
While visiting my wifes family in Queens over Christmas I had an issue that ultimately had a relatively minor root cause. Upon the recommendation of a family friend I took my car to Brendans for service. The problem was diagnosed relatively quickly and was corrected at a VERY reasonable cost. While they had my van they also pointed out two other items that they identified as not urgent, but that I should keep an eye on - zero pressure from Brendans to fix those other issues while they had the van. Two days later, I had a new issue that was fully my fault. It was only a blown fuse, but it was not allowing me to take my car out of park. Brendans diagnosed and replaced the fuse in 30 minutes at no charge.I could not be more satisfied with the service I received.
Thank God for the people at Brendans. They are fair, timely & honest. I went to L& M on Librerty off Supthin Blvd - They did very poor repair work on my vehicle. Left parts off & wiring undone. And charged me ridiculous prices. Brendan mechanics even fixed the mess L&M left. Brendan Service Station stands by its work. Money spent here is money well spent. I highly recommended them. Uncertain whether costs are legitimate. Went in for April state inspection but they slapped a March sticker, so it means that next year I have to have my car checked in February. The most unreasonable part is that they changed all 3 of my windsheid wipers without my permission or without showing proof that they all need to be completely replaced. There was a part that cost over $$300 but they claimed that the old part that they replaced was already trashed. All in all, $400 cost of inspection and not sure what was repaired. Not sure if I will ever go back again.
I love Brendans. My Mom has been coming to them for years and being that i am now the designated driver i trust them with my car. Just got my rare break fixed.and it is runn8ng great so far. I trust that it will stay that way for a while. Anyway check out Brendans for all your car maintenance.
Ive used this place for years every time I go the price gets more and more. I will never go back again the last time they charged me 2 arms and a leg. I was told what was wrong with my car after I got it fixed the same day something else was wrong that was working prior to my coming in. They are rip offs in my opinion would not use them again ever. Stay away. Its sad it took me all these years to wake up and learn I was being ripped off. If you smart you will stay away.
Good service, very accommodating, when assembling a list of things to be done for the car, they take care to differentiate between things that must absolutely be done and things that should be done, but not necessarily right then. Ive also had times when they told me that a service I was asking about was unnecessary at this time and I could wait longer before doing it.
Great service and very professional. My visit was short and sweet. No surprise, always the best. They go beyond what the norm is in service stations.Once again, they did not disappoint. Not only are they professional and good at what they do, they are a pleasure to deal with.
A few months ago, I brought in a tire and a wheel for them to mount and balance. I brought just the items to be worked on, thinking that would minimize the chances of them messing up. Well, guess what, they still managed to put a huge scuff on my wheel, and refused to acknowledge the wrong doing. They had one job! Im never going back again.
My wife brought the car in close to closing time with a scraping noise coming from under the ca. Niall drove it for a few minutes and figured out the problem. A metal sheet was loose. She left the car overnight,, and it was ready by 8:15 A.M. (we needed to use the car the next day) with a modest charge.

Always friendly, exceptionally intelligent and helpful. They just want whats best for you and your vehicle. They are always honest about whats the best deal for you, how to get it done, and help educate you on problem locations in your vehicle, rather than just assume you know as much as them about cars. Ive lived in about 10 different states, working on the road and no one comes close to their good natured attitudes, efficiency and common human decency.
I have a smart car and needed someone to look at it. First I took it to the dealership and they were looking for problems where there were none. Since I didnt know any mechanic, I followed the reviews and deive it from Manhattan because were very attentive and willing to help. They told me what the problem was and instead of spending thousands at Mercedes, it cost me less than 1k, which I believed it was fair.I spoke to them on the phone, were honest about the costs and kept me updated on the progress.Ill certainly be going back and/or recommend.
Stopped by this past Saturday and get my oil filter replaced again because the previous shop could loosen the filter cap again. Tom I assume is the owner took care of me. Have his mechanic replaced the oil filter without any issue unlike the previous shop claimed the filter cap is super tight. Guess what, Tom told me his mechanic almost tripped over because he used too much force to tried to loosen the cap and was prepare for the worst. Somehow they replaced the filter with no problem. Tom charged me only for the oil filter. Thumbs up for Tom. Guess I will not going back to the other shop ever again.

I have been taking our vehicles to Brendans Service Station over the last four years and I could not be happier. The team there is kind, efficient and honest. I know that every time I drop my car off, it is getting a thorough look over in addition to the schedule appointment. Any issue if there is one is immediately brought to my attention and realistic expectations set. Brendans service station stands by their word and work and for as long as I live in NYC, Ill be taking my car to them.

After I had my own experience with the service station, I understood why they have such exceptional ratings. The professionalism and responsibility of this business is unlike any I have experienced before.I feel obligated to write this review because of an event that transpired this week. My engine had some fluid leak. I took it to a mechanic near where I live and they told me it was due to a part I had serviced at Brendans service station. I called up Brendans and they told me that they would fix it without charging me for the labor simply because they performed work near the part that needed to be replaced. I plan to continue service at Brendans.Five stars.

Weve been very longtime customers at Brendans. Very friendly staff, and honest businesspeople. They will suggest work you need or would be good to do, but never push you into anything that isnt immediately necessary. Its good to know when you bring your vehicle in for service that your mechanic isnt looking to just make an extra buck off of you. Thats probably why theyre always so busy! I was lucky today, I got there early and got my flat fixed quickly this morning, but they can be very busy, so try to call ahead and schedule work if you can. That said, theyve also always been great when we just show up for service without an appointment.
