Most compassionate veterinary team!!!Accommodated a need for an urgent appointment for my cat despite her not being seen there before. ..( previous vet did not have an appointment available for 4 weeks)I highly recommend this team and will be bringing my cat here all future care !Thank you Brewster Veterinary hospital !
They were so caring and compassionate with my cat who had Cancer right to the very end! I cant say enough great things about this place. Dr. N was so thorough and explained all of our options. They were also very accommodating with making appointments. We were very impressed with the live person we were able to speak to 24 hours a day!
My dog had a tear on his ear that would not heal - it needed to be cauterized and followed - the vet we were using quoted us $1700 - We thought that was a little crazy so we asked around and heard about Dr. Wilson. Dr. Wilson fixed the tear and followed up for about $500. The office is no frills but the love and professionalism is there.
My experience with Brewster Veterinary has been so positive that I feel compelled to write a review. We had a 7-month old, 2 1/2 lb kitten for only three weeks when he stopped eating and needed to see a vet. Our veterinary center that we’ve been going to for years informed us that we would have to pay for an emergency visit because it was the day after a holiday, and our kitten would not be able to see our regular vet we’ve seen for our other pets. A friend recommended Brewster Veterinary. I called, was told to come in and he was seen by Dr. Justin Nowowiejski. Our kitten, severely distressed, received the best care anyone could ever hope for with the head, heart and hands of Dr. Nowowiejski. We brought him in on a Friday and Dr. N. called us on Saturday to let us know how he was doing and then on Sunday he went in to check on him, and updated us again. Our kitten was there for about a week while he received treatment and Dr. N. continued to inform us of his progress during this time. If not for the excellent care and dedication of Dr. Nowowiejski, we might not have had the positive outcome that we did. We have been there several times since, and every time the care has been above and beyond what we’ve experienced elsewhere. The support team does a great job assisting and the office staff is friendly, efficient and well-organized. The examining rooms are spotless and comfortably warm for the animals. Needless to say, Brewster Veterinary Hospital is now our place of choice for veterinary care.
Though they couldnt save our poor goldfish from whatever ailed her they treated me and my girlfriend with the utmost respect and care. Dr. Justin Nowowiejski in particular was respectful, sympathetic and tried his best to save our little Dorothy, its something we wont forget and appreciated his compassion in our time of need. Thank you again Doc for trying your best.
My family found an injured bird in a parking lot with an eye infection.Took her home , put her in a spacious cage and started feeding her. We gave her the name “Fibi” Next morning she became very active and friendly , felt much better, started chirping singing” all morning . We gained her trust!Worried about her possible eye infection got on the phone and we contacted Brewster Veterinary Hospital. We said we found a wild bird and my wife preferred to nurturethe birdie back to good health at home. We were told indeed that they treat birds and were strongly advised to drop the bird off at the hospital for treatment and a later release. My wife dropped her off – to a not so kind front desk person - and was provided a business card so we can inquire later about her condition.Next day we called and found out our little bird Fibi died and will be incinerated ! We were told she died probably because of stress being caged among cats and dogs alone. We cant imagine Fibi’s disappointment after trusting humans basically feeling betrayed and left to die a horrific death. We let her down leaving behind at this place …after my wife heard her final scream.. Seeing my children with teary eyes… Please take your pet bird to another place if you have one in trouble.Response to Mr Wilsons commentDear Mr WilsonWhen calling the animal hospital, my first question was “ how much would be thecost of a visit” ” . We had no intention to leave the bird at the hospital but to get a diagnosis and some medication for her illness. I was strongly encouraged to bring the bird in, leave there for treatment so she can be released later , When we picked up the bird in the parking lot , indeed she was disoriented. After feeding her,by the next morning the bird acted very healthy, had very good coordination except the symptoms on her eye remained . Whomever I spoke with the next day at the hospital said the bird probably died because of stress - being held in a noisy place. Since the bird was very active and loud when brought in it is not acceptable her dying within the following 24 hours due to just an eye infection.Tamas Baranya

2021-12-27I cant say anything negative about this practice. We are first time kitten owners and using this vet through the shelter we adopted from. They have been responsive with absolutely any questions and concerns ( teething, intestinal problems, normal kitten stuff that is new to us ) and never make us feel like a bother. It truly has been a big weight off our shoulders to have them available. The care we have received has been wonderful.

2021-05-18This vet is awesome, they take care of little tiny fancy mice, which is what I needed. My mouse has a infected bump under her eye. They said it would be such an easy procedure and assured me everything would be great. Im very comfortable with them and their prices arent a rip off. They told me that they were backed up for weeks but being that its an absese it will get done right away. So tomorrow morning my baby scar scar will be all better again. Thank you Brewster Vet♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

2019-01-05Dr. Wilson is motivated by animals not money, unlike other vets. I brought both of my Mini Pigs there to get fixed on different occasions. The pricing was fair, less than half quoted in South Salem. They did not push for additional services such as worming (we do this on our own) or shots. The staff is friendly, as a matter of fact one of the staff members tended to both pigs after hours at night for a few days after each procedure. I offered to give her a tip and she wouldnt accept. Recently, to my surprise I called the office to inquire about getting my 9 year old dogs teeth cleaned and they said bring the dog in for us to check if its necessary. I wish I found them years ago.

2021-02-13Just a wonderful facility. They took my dog and I on a Saturday when my regular vet wasnt open. They took wonderful care of Peter on that visit and the subsequent visit where he required extensive dental cleaning and care. In the past I have also taken my bearded dragons and they were wonderful and took the time to thoroughly examine them and recommend care. The lady who does the teeth cleaning and extractions came out and talked to me for 20 minutes showing me dental charts after the procedure. No one has ever spent as much time with me explaining the treatment. In the beginning they gave me a quote for the procedure on the low end and on the high end. They actually charged less in the end than the low aspect of the quote which was a really nice surprise. They are now becoming my regular vets even though its an hour drive LOL.

2021-04-14I had a little “grooming” accident with my rabbit and called my regular exotic animal vet upset. They calmly said they had no appointments available. They told me I could bring him in but I would have to pay $175 emergency fee on top of whatever services were offered at the visit. This was 1pm in the afternoon in the middle of a business day. I did not bring him in. The next morning I called Brewster veterinary hospital on a recommendation. I had never been there before, so they didn’t have to try and squeeze me in but I was told they could see my rabbit that morning. The doctor was really knowledgeable and quickly calmed my fears. And my bill at the end of the visit was 1/4 of what they would have drained out of me at “the exotic animal” hospital. I did not know thatThat Brewster Veterinary Hospital treated rabbits. They were there when I needed them, so now that is where I will be taking my rabbit from now on!!

2019-11-29Dr. Wilson and his staff are absolutely wonderful. I have used their boarding facilities, on very short notice, due to a sick family member, and Brewster Veterinary Hospital was very accommodating. My dogs were very upset about having to leave home, and the staff made sure they settled in, and they treated them like they were part of their family.Dr Wilson has spayed and neutered my pets, and weve had quite a few emergency visits, due to sick pets. Their prices are always reasonable, and Ive never been disappointed by their technical abilities and diagnostic assessments. In fact, Dr Wilson saved my beloved dogs life. They are true animal lovers, and I trust them with my precious fur family. Five stars are not enough! They are beyond fantastic!
