What can I say? These guys are professional, honest, and dependable! My husband and I brought our bikes in for a tune up because they havent been ridden in a VERY long time. The staff at Brickwell did their absolute best and we could not be happier with the result! Their prices were fair and to be honest A LOT lower than what we had expected. I highly recommend Brickwell to anyone who has any bike needs!
I appreciate everything Brickwell does to help with all my repairs needs. My son is very rough with his bikes and Brickwell is always there for his repairs. I Stopped into the shop looking to have pedals switched out on my fat tire bike. The hospitality that Russel displayed was refreshing. 15 minutes after arrival I was out the door, pedals installed and 1 other small adjustment made. There was also some small accessories purchased. Great shop. Highly recommend.
Brought my bike in on 5/19 still not ready took it out and will adjust myself. After I was told two weeks for minor repairs. I understand the demand on bikes both new and repairs is unfamiliar to most bike shops, but I think the business model needs to be considered instead of losing business. Hire some part timers to make the small repairs most bikes sitting in your shop for weeks need. When I do buy a new bike I will go to a bigger shop who can handle the demand!Some reviews speak of immediate attention which leads me to believe there is preferential treatment going for some customers.

Have gone into Brickwell a few times - most recently yesterday for a tire repair. Although they told me over the phone that there would be a wait of about a week, Russell fixed it on the spot. Also answered some questions I had and was super helpful - he clearly knows his stuff. The shop itself is great, and has everything you might need. Highly recommend!
Had such a great experience having a repair done on my road bike. I dropped my bike off to have a new back rim put on my bike due to a tree branch damaging my rear rim. Both guys I dealt with were gentlemen and took care of my bike bringing it back to its full potential. Definitely plan on going back to get my bike serviced an repaired if needed.
Russell is the go to for a professional bike fit. The adjustments he made on my road bike just after the first day have completely changed my fit for the better.
Going to this bike shop has been one of my most pleasurable shopping experiences I can remember in a long time. The service they provide should be a bench mark for all businesses. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I first went there a few weeks back to fix a flat tire on my cruiser which has been out of commission for a few years and like many people with everything going on and not much to do I wanted to get out on my bike for some leisurely riding. I did try some shops that were closer to me for convenience and it was just a simple fix but each one told me that even for a flat don’t bother coming in until at least 2 weeks. But not Brickwell these guys said to come on in even as they were slammed, just to fix a flat they said come through and we will get you in and take care of it. I was spectacle but had nothing to lose. They did not disappoint and did exactly what they said they would. While waiting for the repair we were looking around the accessories area and a new seat for my fiancé and the worker up front couldn’t have been more helpful and less pushy. He explained things in detail that we never knew and even suggested to us not to buy a new seat until we rode the current one a few more times. With that level of honesty I couldn’t help but purchase the new seat right away and the guys in the back put on and adjusted it to fit perfectly for no extra charge which seems rare these days. Fast forward 2 weeks I bring back my cruiser for a loose chain and again they got my bike in the repair area immediately and took care of what I needed and then some. While I was waiting I was chatting with Russell who works there and he couldn’t be more friendly he even remembered my cruiser and it’s broken kickstand which they took care of on my second visit. These guys are awesome and I have been recommending them to all my friends that need anything in the bicycle world. I wish I needed more from them because I truly enjoyed the experiences. Their pricing is extremely fair and the service is above and beyond what I was expecting. Please go see these guys for anything you need and you will not be disappointed. I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could!!!!
Very helpful staff took the time to help me pick out a bike for the wife. Since then brought a couple of kids bikes to get fixed and tuned up. Always friendly and smiling.
1st time I went they were friendly & help me with a bike part that I needed it. I thought maybe cause I was a new customer they were nice.. Well 3 weeks later I was going to ride with friends & my bike had a flat & I needed it fix right away. I called them & they said to bring it down & we will fix it on the spot so you can ride with your friends. 10 minutes later bike was done & I went riding. Thanks Brickwell Cycling.
I had a great experience when I went to Brickwell Cycling for service on my Trek bicycle. The staff was very friendly in helping with my tune-up needs and even helped me with setting up my indoor trainer I had received as a gift and hadn’t opened yet. I would recommend stopping by their store in Farmingdale if you have any biking questions or needs.
Just want to say what a wonderful place this is. Russell is so good with the kids of Farmingdale. I know by experience, my son drives a Blue Blocks Flyer and has gone in a few times even with a broken pedal and they go above and beyond to help the kids and sometimes there is even no charge. I recently purchased my Specialized MTB from Russell, who is very knowledgeable, for a great price.My ride went down this weekend just as I had my first group ride planned. I know those guys are “SUPER BUSY “ but they fixed and saved my ride and my weekend quickly. Brickwell has been my go to place since I got back into biking. I am on my 3rd bike purchase with them and Russ has been great to deal with. Russ spends a lot of time with me when I come in the store and answers all my questions. It’s nice to have that personal attention every time I come in, unlike when you go into some other stores that don’t even acknowledge you. When my bike arrives at the store I know it’s being built by scott who is an experience bike mechanic. The service continues after I buy my bike and ride out the front door. They are always accomendating when I need adjustments or a quick fix. I highly recommend Brickwell for all your cycling needs. My lastest purchase was a trek Farley 9.6 fat bike that I love.

I had a problem with the disk brakes on my tandem on a Sunday. I walked into Brickwell, unannounced with my bike. Russel stopped what he was doing, said braking, especially on a tandem, is a safety issue. Ten minutes later it was repaired at no charge.I’m hooked.

Brought my daughters bike in over 5 weeks ago for a minor fix. Contacted them four times for updates since then. I get the higher demand due to Covid and Im quite patient in general, but I cant imagine all customers were made to wait 5+ weeks. Finally had to go get the un-repaired bike back because my daughter was asking about its absence.

I like the personal service at Brickwell. I know everyones name and they know mine. They know my preferences and treat my bike as such. I also love the support directly from Andrew for my youth based triathlon team, Metro Triathlon. His sponsorship of the program has been part of the lifeblood that has enabled the program to positively affect so many student-athletes.
I had my roadbicycle fitted there and Russel,who did the job, was very knowledgeable, detailed and very friendly. He explained every step of the process along the way and even gave me helpful tips on riding posture and other helpful gears.
Excellent bicycle shop!!! Except for all the high-end gear and top of the line bicycles they sell, this shop reminds me of the old time bike shop that was around the corner from the house I grew up in. I walked into the shop on July 4th, with a high-end bike wheel that needed to be straightened. (The technician looked like he was already working on while I was still in the shop, but I told them there was no rush on this.) Five days and only $35 later, I picked it up perfectly straight.
Wow... professional in every way. Took my 2014 carbon Synapse 105 in to have a BB Infinite ceramic bottom bracket installed. Called local shops and no one was comfortable doing the job but Brickwell has done numerous BBI installs and said its not a problem. Took in the bike on Monday and picked it up on Friday. The service guy said that the crank spun so smoothly and said nothing else on the bike needs to be done (they did an overall check on the bike). Talk about great and honest service. They even put the BB Infinite press tool in a bag with the original Cannondale bearings!! WOW. I know most places would just throw out the bearings but I got the original ones back so I could see how they were. Definitely definitely recommend this shop and its definitely worth the drive from Queens.
Never had a bad experience. Bought two bikes and have been happy with both of them! Russ in Farmingdale is the best mechanic I know.

I went there to get my brakes fixed for my SE bike and they fixed it and then after like 1 hour the brakes were rubbing against the tires and I thought that was normal then the lever on the brakes was really loose

2021-12-26So thankful for Brickwell Cycling! My husband and I bought our son a bike for Christmas and were struggling with properly adjusting the brakes. I brought in the bike and they were able to fix it while I waited so my son could enjoy his new Christmas gift in the nice weather. We will absolutely be back. Super friendly and helpful! 2022-05-25Best bike shop on Long Island, I have used a lot of shops over the years and Russell and crew are among the best there is. I cant count how many times I have brought a bike in and they fix it while I wait. Also with the supply chain the way it is right now they are keeping me posted on the status of all the parts, equipment and a Bike that I am waiting for.

2022-07-11Very disappointing, been here many times to get small jobs done on my daughters bike, always friendly and helpful; in mid June I brought in my long stored bike for a tune up and refurbishment - at intake I was told $100 and two weeks ... two weeks go by, no word, 3 weeks go by, no word, I called in the 4th week, voicemail, left a message, no return call, I called a second time 6 hours later, guy who answered the phone put me on hold for 10 minutes, then hung up on me; then left me a voicemail saying it would cost $250 and they were waiting to hear back from me ... details listed new tires, new brakes, new chain - I picked up the bike as I dropped it off: chain works fine, tires might need a patch or replacement, brakes work fine ... the disrespectful behavior and casual attempt to rip off a long time customer is unacceptable

2022-04-29I recently brought my sons bike to Brickwell on Main St. in Farmingdale for a repair. Russell took care of It immediately. It turned out to be a a very minor issue. It was fixed in less than a minute. He didnt even charge me for it. Ill definitely buy my next bikes from Brickwell!

2021-09-04This is why I love neighborhood shops. I went to Brickwell today with a bike that has been in my garage for close to 20 years! They not only made sure my tires we ok, thy also replaced the kick stand which was way out of line. He also took time to cut the seat holder to lower it to my height, And the best this is, they didnt charge me anything! Great people and great service. I will always go back to #brickwell

2020-09-15The people who work here are top notch. I get my bike tuned there every year, and I buy all my cycling supplies there. I bought a helmet 2 weeks ago, and the gentleman patiently explained all the different styles as I tried them on. I pop in from time to time with a flat or minor adjustment and they take care of it on the spot. If I do have to leave my bike there they call or text with a time frame which is always accurate, and then text or call when its ready. It is rare to find a place with such exceptional service and professionalism.
