My boyfriend and I have stayed at hundreds of hotels (especially all across NY state) in the past two years but our experience at Brinckerhoff was truly unique and specialThe Inn is gorgeous and filled with such rich history. Bob, the owner, gave us a great tour upon arrival. There are numerous common areas to relax and hang out - including a huge outdoor area and a pool table. In the morning, Bob made us a lovely breakfast on gold China plates. The menu was “anything you want” which we opted to make a royal choice for ourselves of eggs, toast, sausage, and hash browns.I highly recommend this Inn for all visitors - especially couples looking for a cool getaway in a New York haven. If you have the option to get a upgraded room, DO IT. The tub is ENORMOUS! I look forward to being back soon!
We stayed here a few weeks ago (booked our reservation on their own website!). The place has great historical charm and the room was very cozy and clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Owner Bob was very friendly and accommodated our early check-in. We highly recommend this place if you are visiting this area.
Would probably have never had the chance to stay here, as we live locally, if not for power outage...I am so very impressed by this Inn, the decor, the owner Bob, the rooms and OMG the breakfast! He has 2 vehicles ready to pick you up from the train station and for tours of historical sites, wineries, etc... Both the cars and the pool we could not use because...well 2020! But Bob is hopeful for both to be allowed SOON! The grounds are gorgeous, the location perfect to so many great restaurants in Beacon, Fishkill and surrounding areas! I find the smaller inns and B&Bs are all going the extra mile to ensure cleanliness for guests safety. We are all staying a little closer to home these days...give yourself a much needed break and call for a reservation now! You dont Have to thank me for telling you about this place ..but you will WANT TO😀
The Brinckerhof Inn B&B is upscale experience right outside of Beacon. Between the antique piano sitting room and the back porch there are so many rooms to explore in this home. From the moment we walked in Bob was our best friend. He gave us a personal tour of the bedrooms, ask to see the George Washington room. There’s a speakeasy like billiard and bar room, byob. Bob left the lights on for us so we played a few rounds. We had a gourmet breakfast and delicious coffee! Order the pancakes 🥞 need I say I more? Just do it!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩⭐️ 😋 🛀 🛌
Beautifully restored home, overflowing with deep history rooted not only locally but in events that shaped this nation. Bob, the owner, is very attentive to your needs and requests. Breakfast was so filling we didnt eat till dinner! It was a great getaway for our anniversary, no regrets whatsoever. Highly recommended!
We were so pleasantly surprised with this beautiful historic inn! The owner was so attentive and provided us with an extra early breakfast since I got up very early to participate in the Hudson Valley Bike NY Ride. The room was perfectly appointed, it was cozy and immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and it was so quaint and a charming departure from NYC. We highly recommend it!
This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere special!Try book through their website instead of Expedia. You can call ahead to check if your reservation is correct. The breakfast was awesome! The service was super! The room is cozy and clean! Basically, everything is perfect. If I have to name one thing that they can improve, it’s the water shower pressure is a little high...Hope I can come and visit again with my friends! Great place, great memories.
We recently spent a long weekend at the Brinckerhoff Inn Bed and Breakfast in Fishkill, N.Y . This is a 300 year old house which has been carefully restored to its former historic beauty. There are 9 bedrooms ,each with its own newly-renovated bathroom (and its own heat/air unit.).We were served an amazing (and delicious) breakfast in the bright and charming dining area, where we enoyed meeting other guests. There is also a small pub area for evening cocktails with an adjoining game room.In warmer weather you can relax on the patios or enoy the outdoor pool.Since Fishkill is an area of significant Revolutionary War history, the rooms are named for historical figures. (We slept in the Marquis de Lafayette Room). We were given lots of very helpful information on local restaurants, hiking trails, and the many historical sites within an hour of the INN. (Bear Mt, West Point, Roosevelt estate, historic Rhinebeck, etc). If you are looking for a unique experience which combines comfort and history and HOSPITALITY, I definitely recomment The Brinckerhoff Inn
I have never in my life experienced anything as horrible as this one. I reserved the room in this hotel from Expedia. It said that the room had shared bathroom, which was fine with me. I proceeded with reservation. Right after the room was reserved my card was charged $224.25. Couple of hours after reservation I received a call (from the owner I assume). Not only he did not apologize for inconvenience, but he also blamed me on booking THE WRONG ROOM. It did not have a bathroom and therefore he cancels the order. The owner said he returned my money to my account. Week later, no refund appeared. I contacted Expedia on the matter. A day later they email me telling that the owner refused to give a refund due to his policies!!! Policies??? under which Ive never signed!!! What this owner does is called fraud. The advertisement was incorrect, charges taken right after booking and never returned even though promised!!! I am not even mentioning the ruined weekend. This business needs some serious investigation.
Very bad experience with management. Called way in advance to cancel a stay, as my wife sustained a serious compound fracture of her leg and was unable to travel. No refund was issued. I called to ask for a refund. Had a couple of conversations, then the proprietor stopped responding. We lost the money. Buyer beware!!!

2021-12-31The Brinckerhoff Inn was one of the most pleasant B&B Inn experiences we have ever had. Bob and Kimberly made us feel so welcome! The rooms were really beautiful, clean, large and bright. Breakfast then next morning was delicious. Bob gives the Inn its personality and warmth. He spent quality time with us and gave us the history and essence of the beautiful Inn. We will return!

2022-02-25The historic building is lovely, the rooms are spacious and extremely well furnished (amazing bathrooms with massive tubs, super comfy beds, and original antique furniture), and we enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owner is very friendly and clearly cares a lot about maintaining and improving this little piece of American history. Thank you for a wonderful time!

2022-05-18Oh my what a special place! The original building was built in the early 1700 s and it remained in private ownership for years. Bob has refurbished the historical building and has painstakingly paid attention to every detail. The room was perfect and provided all the luxury amenities. The Innkeeper Bob cooked us the best breakfast.Lots of local activities in the Huson River valley. The Inn makes a super spot for a Get-a-Way......RT

2022-06-27My husband & I were looking for a unique & memorable place to stay while visiting friends in upstate & this inn was that & more. Beautiful rooms, claw foot tubs, delish breakfast that included & very cozy. Bob runs the inn & made himself personally available to us & made us feel most comfortable. We stay in the Lafayette room where Marquis de Lafayette stayed himself for 4 months! If you love history & beautiful spaces you’ll love this place.

2020-09-07Lovely bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful with gorgeous claw foot tubs in the bathrooms. We stayed in the James Madison room and the furnishings were lovely and authentic to the time period of the home. Bob made us a wonderful breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I would definitely recommend this little gem for an authentic experience in upstate New York.

2020-08-30Stayed at the Brinckerhoff Inn this weekend, was a great experience, would recommend it for anyone looking for a charming place to stay in the Beacon / Cold Spring / Wappingers Falls area. The owners were attentive but still felt quiet and private, and the house itself is quite cool and historic. Highlights are the original 18th century wood flooring from when the house was a trading post repurposed as a bar facade, and a fantastic large screened porch in the back. Room was comfortable and very clean, all the finishes and fixtures are really nice and feel historically correct to the house. Hope to come back again if we need a place to stay over in the area.

2020-09-08Great location! Perfectly situated near the town and highway with easy access to all the great areas around Hudson River. The entire house was renovated 2 years ago and its beautiful and CLEAN. Breakfast was amazing thanks to Chef Mikes expertise. Owner Bob was very accommodating with recommendations for things to do & places to eat. It felt like we were in our very own mansion for the weekend

2020-09-03We stayed at the Inn for one night while touring nearby Beacon. It is a 300 year old house that has been fully updated and restored to perfect condition by the owner Bob who has gone above and beyond to maintain its historic charm. It felt like you were staying in a Victorian museum and is very clean. He also makes a delicious breakfast in the morning and went of his way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I can’t wait to return.
