My husband and I decided to try something different last night. Weve never had Salvadorian food before. I picked this place based on its reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was great and so was the service! We tired the pupusas that everyone was mentioning in other reviews and they were fantastic!. I should mention that weve never had pupusas before lol. I gave it 4 stars only because the ambiance was a little outdated. However, the place is clean and nice. I just think it could use a makeover. Good price for great food! Well definitely go again.

The place has good food , the only down fall is that they only have 4 servers and way too many tables. we waited for the food too long. and then the portion is very small. and then when it came time to pay it took us 30 minutes to pay. way too long. l🙄👍🏼
Service is always greatIve been going there since I was 13Im 27 now and I took my mom there for her birthday today and the staff was great. They sang her a song and everything felt genuine. Not like some generic song. Buena gente, Buenos precious y servicio muy profesional. La comida es caliente y Las cervesas frias.
We got Pupusas revueltas, and they were basically tortillas. Nothing inside them. Very sad, this is the third time it’s happened when we visit our friends in the area. We live in Manhattan, it’s a long way to expect good Salvadoran food and not get what you paid for. Very sad!

Ever since they change owners, the service isnt the same. It took me almost two hrs for the order I had to pick up even though they always half hr when you order over the phone.

I ordered from here on the phone and I checked the prices before, I ordered a lobster and a parrillada, on the online menu it showed how much each plate was, the lobster was $23 and the parrillada costed $19 and we also ordered 3 sodas about 2 dollars each. So up to this point the total price would be about 40-50 dollars. Once I checked my bank account I saw how much they charged each plate. It showed they charged us almost 80 dollars for 2 plates of food. We call the restaurant and the lady that answered said they had changed the prices on the menu not too long ago , if they changed the prices on the menu, then why not change the prices on the online website menú?? Also if she claimed they had changed it a few days ago, then they would of had time to change it on the menu online too. The food was good but they should of changed the prices on the online menu so people now know the new prices, if there even is a new price and they didn’t just scam us.
I have always liked this Salvadoran restaurant, I am a faithful diner of this place especially the seafood soup with cream called “consomme”the very tasty fried mojarra, the grills and roast beef my favorites; In addition, I have visited this restaurant since 1992. There have been changes such as the extension to the south side that makes it a little bigger, the place is very clean, the service staff are very friendly men too; For the quality of seasoning in the Salvadoran style I give 5 stars ... The worst tortillas. Please have someone who knows how to make them or dont serve tortillas at all. Everything else was good.The worst omelettes. Please let someone who knows how to make them make them or they wont serve them.They have never done it right. For years.
They are tricky I dont recommend it the food doesnt work I ordered chicken soup and in the soup you could still see blood and a seafood soup that wasnt soup it was pure white water and even sand had a crab bad restaurant I really dont recommend it Or and my 15-year-old sister makes tortillas better than the one who makes them ai
I was not satisfied with the service and the pupusas, I ordered pupusas with everything (cheese, pork rinds and beans) they were only cheese and beans they did not have any pork rinds and the worst thing was that they served them burnt and they were not ashamed to serve them like that
I have been visiting this place for a long time, although they have made several changes in terms of portions and sizes, it is still one of my favorite restaurants.
My taste is very clean and friendly everyone and the food is very tasty! God bless you and always provide you with work in the name of Jesus.

Very bad service. They take a long time to attend, more than 45 minutes to bring the food, the waiters pretend they dont see you. And to top it off. They did not return the change of what I had paid. Bad service and they still steal. Very bad.

I definitely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, we ordered a seafood dopa with cream and they brought us a plate with white water, a shrimp, a shell, and half a crab and sand in the soup, we also ordered a lobster in cream and they brought us a lobster without any meat inside, and they serve the dishes in an unprofessional way, and they charge you dearly🙄😱😱😡

I ordered a Salvadoran seafood soup they spent 35 minutes they gave me a shrimp, a shell and an egg I could not believe what filled the plate pure water for the price I did not expect I think the restaurant is good in pupusas but not in seafood I do not recommend this seafood restaurant 🦐 lucky friends

A very nice and comfortable place, to be passive, I love the fact of not giving you barbarities of food that is wasted and makes you feel bad, I recommend it for dinner, do not feel bad to see it little is only better so you do not have to wait be grateful and love them
Very bad service.The waiter took the order in the wrong way, it took an eternity to serve the drinks, he served the food in a disorderly manner.And to make matters worse, they charged a very high bill for a simple meal.A total desepción.

Terrible customer service the food takes too long to come out and when my food came out I asked him for my soda and he measured that he would wait for me to finish my meal and my soda never seems the only good thing is the music I am from yonkers and I take 45 minutes for this very experiences uncomfortable

2021-09-07I been at this place since 2005. And I never get tired of it. I live far from it. But anytime Im nearby this is my go to place. Their parrillada dish is the best. The waiters are always very friendly. Service is fairly quick .

2021-02-13The food is great, classic Salvadorian food but the wait was very long. I ordered on the phone they told me 30 min but I didnt get my food until an hour and a few minutes. 35 min spent standing on line inside the restaurant. The pupusas are great, the orchata is good the tamale De corn amazing but that wait is bad.

2020-10-08We showed up with no reservation on a Sunday, place was packed but they still gave us...6 of us, a table. Service was very good and the food was exactly like been down in El Salvador !!! Sopa de mariscos, yuca, parrillada and everything was excellent.. we are coming back

2019-03-05I would give this place 10 stars if it was only based on the rating the food. However their customer service is the worst, getting the orders wrong almost everytime I order but unfortunately, if you want good quality Salvadorean food, then this is the place to get it. Just be patient and prepared when they have your order wrong and also it is a bit pricey. The food is sometimes worth all the wait and price. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE, trust me they always get it wrong. Been going to them 15+years, never fails. But the food is great, just try it!

2019-01-01Food comes freshly cooked and tastes delicious. Seating is super comfortable. Workers are nice and experienced. This is a family friendly place with food and drinks for every age. If you live in long island and havent yet tried this Restaurant out yet then you should try it out. Menu is all salvadorian and various in foods.

2019-09-08This restaurant is no longer the restaurant that used to know. The pupusas are so greasy you can catch a heart attack with one bite. They also come out burnt and flat like someone is pressing down on these things to remove some of the grease.The rice is no longer the fluffy loose rice that they use to make. Now the rice is so sticky and not well cooked that you can probably make sushi rolls with it.The tortillas are cooked in the same flat skillet they make the pupusas with because even the tortillas are greasy. Since when did you ever need grease to make tortillas?The sea food soup with cream is the only thing that is so so but not that great, it use to be much better. Now it just taste like a water down version of what the old creamy one use to taste like.I can go on and on about how this place has change so much and not for the good, but I rather stop this review and just not go here anymore.
