Too crowded with parked cars cause there’s a parking lot within the gas station. Cars always seem to be in the way of the sidewalk not allowing pedestrians to get by safely. Parking lot attendants that work for gas Station should be more aware of pedestrians coming by. It’s all nothing till one day there’s an accident.
Google Maps says this place has a website. The website says to contact them to make an appointment for car inspection, using an online form. Used the form and got a very fast call back and an email telling me to bring my car in Saturday at 9, no problem. I get there at 9 and am told it’s going to be an hour wait. Okay, no problem, I live in the neighborhood, just let me know when you get to it. No no, they say, come back in an hour...there’s no room to leave your car here. At least an hour, he then says. Which is it? If I come back in an hour, will you tell me to leave again, cuz it turns out that it’s longer? So I ask him if I can make an ACTUAL appointment for next Saturday (cuz I don’t have an hour to drive around waiting till I’m allowed back) and he says “we don’t take appointments, there’s no room, where would we put the cars?!” At this point I’m like “whatever” and I turn to go, irritated I wasted my one morning off doing this, and the guy calls after me and says “did you try calling ahead?” I said “yes, I reached out and have an email response that I should come at 9, so that’s what I did.” “We don’t have email,” he says, shrugging. I tried to look up the email to show him, but he didn’t seem super interested that there’s apparently someone masquerading as his business telling people cheerfully to come on in when there’s literally no room at the inn.Maybe the service is great but I’m not sure how you actually get served...there’s no room for your car. 🤷♀️
Great customer service! I just wished for someone to pump my gas. It’s a self service! I disliked touching the fuel pump with my bared hand because youre left with the odor in your hands.
The maintenance shop was a pleasant experience. They plugged a hole in my tire in less than 15 minutes and inspected my other tires as well. Friendly and professional. I’ll be going back there for future services.
Very busy … good price for regular gasoline. Dog eat dog for a space at the pump. While waiting for a car to clear for access to a recently freed pump, female motorist came from the opposite lane of traffic and pirated the available pump while the exiting vehicle blocked the path to the pump on the same side of the street.
A friend recommended that I have my car towed to this shop after breaking down last week, based on his past experience with Carlos. Carlos checked my car and found that I needed only minor work done. He is honest, did not claim that my car needed unnecessary work, and provided great service.A heads up- the lot surrounding the shop is paid parking. If Carlos is not there, they will ask you to pay to leave your car.
My neighbor recommended this Exxon for an auto inspection. The boss got me in quickly the first thing in the morning, and I was out of there 15 minutes later. I was happy to see another reviewer say that this is the kind of shop where they will tell you that you will need something in six months, but you dont have to do it right now. Thats always been my test for an honest auto repair place. This is the first car Ive had in New York, and I will be taking it back to this Exxon station for oil changes and minor repairs.
Excellent place to get your car tuned up. Prices for parking are fairly descent. Will miss Carlos since he was a friend of the family.
Our car overheated on the highway. He took us right in, fixed it up in a couple of hours, and explained everything he was doing and charging us for. Really appreciated the fast and friendly service here.
They are very honest I went in for a brake job and the manager told me your brakes are fine they still have a couple of months left they put some anti seed so my brakes wouldnt squeal it took my car 6 months till my brakes were due And i most say no other shop in Washington heights will ever tell you yea your brakes are fine and put some anti seed on your brake pads free of charge will recommend for anyone that lives around the area
This is the worst place in Washington Heights. I am pretty sure they take people off the street to work here. Their employees customer service is comparable to that of prison guards. Getting my inspection done there took years of my life. Never go to this place!
The old guy that runs the place is an angry spiteful person. He was very rude on the phone and tried to charge me twice the amount on the website for an oil change. If youre having car problems go literally anywhere besides here.

2022-04-14Decent place, Decent prices (all things considered). 24-7 store in case you want to snack something. Unfortunately there are no healthy snacks, just the usual soda and super salty junk food. However, something is better than nothing though.Been there several times.Its close to a precinct so you could say its safer that many other places. Im mentioning this because I work overnight and that area seems pretty creepy.

2022-04-10Came to this place to check my car before the long road trip which I specifically told to mechanic. Asked to change whispers and key batteries ( was not changed !) Was told I need to change brake disks , which I did ( also overcharged!) Within 2h of drive , bolt CAME OUT on a highway, causing a lot of stress.. Now facing another big bill as whole caliper needs changing and stuck In Philadelphia going from garage to garage instead of enjoined my road trip!!! Mechanics like that should never be aloud to touch any car!!

2020-12-18This place is pretty busy. I came in for an Inspection and I was pleased. Most of the guys are friendly and they have a sense of humor. Just be aware that sometimes they tell customers to come back so if someone comes after you and is getting service before you, its not because they ignoring you. I would definitely use them for other services.

2020-08-15Great services! I did my inspection here. Everywhere officially stops at 2pm on Saturday. I arrived at the Global at 145th on 13:45, and they told me to come back on Monday. I then got here at 13:58, but the grandpa at the shop still accepted my vehicle. Very great people!

2021-06-27I used to drive an older red car I tried getting the car inspected at this location. A mechanic there tried charging me 500$ for an inspection sticker that was fraudulent I definitely would never recommend this place especially for younger drivers they will try to take advantage of you.

2018-10-22The manager of the mechanic shop was not only extremely rude, but blatantly disregarded my only request. He told me I was not allowed to wait inside the shop and that I had to go outside, as I asked him to wait for me before sticking my inspection sticker on the windshield, stating he knows what he is doing.After reluctantly agreeing to wait for me for such, he proceeded to purposely stick it on my car before letting me back in, with both an unusually huge gap and sideways, at a big angle compared to my registration.After asking him to stick it back on this time straight (which is why I had asked in the first place for such) he told me the only way he could do that was for me to pay another $37 to get my car inspected again.I definitely will but would not return to this business under any circumstances.I wonder if my credit card company could void the transaction as they definitely didnt earn my money.

2020-11-29This place is a gas station as well as a service center. The mechanic that services me here is Ricardo. Hes been servicing me for almost 10yrs. He is much older in age and speaks Spanish and English and is quite comical. If I can not find him here at this body shop I go to W215th street across from Van Cortlandt park to see Jullian. Both are excellent mechanics and have been mechanics for well over 30yrs+. The inspection and oil change I believe are roughly $30bucks a piece. Dont quote me. There are several mechanics that work at this location during the week, however if you are looking for a good mechanic who is trust worthy and wont con you, Ricardo (and Jullian @W215th st) are your best bet.
