From the online appointment to the actual visit was a great experience. An appointment was confirmed within 24hrs...which was a plus. Then the team called to confirm and asked if we had questions. Lastly, they were very nice and welcoming. The Dr was so knowledgeable and right away determined the problem and referred us immediately as needed. Kudos to the team at Bronx Eye Associates.
“””””””long waiting ever I saw at medical office””””””””They do give appointment but soo long have to wait.In my life worse experience ever. 2 hour and more have to wait. Can’t believe one of front desk said when was my first visit “ basically first come first serve and 2nd visit I came half an hour early accordingly first visit advise but no improvement about waiting time. Half an hour or one hour acceptable. I understand is a busy facility. But who does that, why they over booked. I would never recommend this kind facility. This is all about management. They don’t give proper advise to their employees.
So I came across this place due to an insurance change. I am very pleased with the service, the Dr. and techs were both great, very professional I was in and out in a timely manner. The place was clean . Tina helped me pick out my new eyeglasses and even fixed my old pair. Thank you so much!
I would give it 1-star but the front staff was pretty nice and very friendly. so i give it 2-stars thanks to those very enthusiastic and serviceable Latin receptionists that have hearts of gold. The doctor that attended to me and my son was super nice and very courteous. She did not sign my prescription. My prescription has another doctor’s name. The doctor was a young Indian looking lady, I think the name was Nina but I am unsure. Unfortunately, she could not get my prescription correct AT ALL. She had to see my previous eyeglasses prescription to decide to wing it and told me to just keep using the same prescription. Though I told her, I am no longer seeing as well with that prescription.I told her I have been having bad blurry episodes with and without my glasses and said it’s because of the blue light and to get glasses with blue light. Which I told her I already had and have had for a long time. Lastly, I didn’t like that she did NOT really know what she was doing, I did not like that there was no in depth check to my blurry episodes, and lastly she prescribed drops for my very dry eyes and an ointment and it was NEVER sent to the pharmacy. Called the facility twice no callback and still no drops or ointment in my CVS. Over all the facility is big and there are many bilingual people there so that is a plus. Unfortunately, they do NOT use up to date tech to measure PD (pupillary distance) and still do not accept apple pay.I am only waiting for my son’s glasses and mine to find an actual Eye Doctor that knows what they are doing. Because I honestly do not feel like I was examined properly.BUT as with almost 90% medical facilities that I have personally experienced in the Bronx and Manhattan , they have lack of medical quality. Moreover, I understand that it is due to the over population in the Bronx that most medical facilities have high amount of appointments where they just want to get the current patient out to get the next one in.
The hispanic man that works in the glasses section with the ponytail was rude and has an attitude. He said we wasted his time when we refused to pay the ridiculous price. He tried to push my mother to pay an unnecessary lens filter upgrade for $375+ that doctor recommended. Glasses selection covered by insurance are ugly and not worth paying $$$. Take your prescription and shop around ! They will overcharge you and try to get the most money out of you!On the bright side, Eye Doctors were amazing and very professional! 10/10
I’ve been going here for about 4 years now and don’t get me wrong, it’s a great establishment but it depends on who’s working on that day. For my experience, DR. Patel is probably the most unprofessional optometrist I ever met. He literally made me wait 30 min for my appointment when he had no one else scheduled. The receptionist repeatedly called him to the front which he came and saw me then left. He is very rude and sarcastic with his comments. I’m not sure if it’s because Im a young patient and he only likes to see older people but it’s not just professional. I Would not be going here anymore.
The entire staff was extremely friendly and professional. The ambiance was very comfortable and totally relaxing considering this was a routine check up during the covid pandemic. Dr. Orloff was knowledgeable as well as patient answering our questions and concerns. My family left the office feeling pampered and assured that our money was well spent.
They are amazing! Love Dr. Rodriguez very sweet and a great dr. I also, had Dr. Patel once very nice and good Dr. The specialist are great as well. The ladies at the over at on the other side that help you pick out your glasses are amazing 🙌🏽They are all sweet especially Rosa
Very nice faculty! Everything was explained to me cleary from the front desk to the doctor. Wide variety of glasses to choose from. Make sure you know what your insurance coverage for glasses is. There particular glass shop on site might not cover as much as other glasses shops, so know before you go!
Dr Serra was recommended by a friend who said she was great with her kids. So i brought my son for his first exam and dr serra was friendly and answered all mine and his questions. As a nervous mother its nice to bring your kids to an office where they are treated so well, I highly recommend. and the office is clean and all the staff was polite and followed coronavirus rules.
I tried calling several times to make an appointment but it was easier for me to request an appointment online on their website because the ladies up front sometimes be understandably busy. I then got the appointment confirmed by email and I had a phone call, text and email to confirm it in return. When fly walk in, your temperature gets taken and then you check-in for your appointment on a kiosk. It’s pretty straight forward but for those that aren’t as tech saavy, there is someone there to assist. Everyone was very friendly and they do have social distancing guidelines with plastic divisions by the seats. I have no complaints, Dr. Patel is great; very friendly and relatable as he is young and very down to earth.
First of all, my case was an urgent one - and i was attended on the same day. This is one of the most important health services that patients need. Unfortunately, most of the time, in some clinics, patients need to call for appointments and be served after 3-4 weeks (if they are lucky). Secondly, the staffs were all nice and accommodating... they gave me a very positive attitude and encouraging words. During my treatment, I couldn’t control myself and i had a panic attacked, Dr. Serra and Dr. Rodriguez were so quick in helping me and calmed me down. They were both very professional and knowledgeable, they explained to me (in lay man’s terms and even drew a picture) about what’s going on with my right eye. That was a big deal for me, i was able to understand my case and it gave me a big relief. Thank you BEA!
Coming here was one of the best things Ive done for my eyes! The care I recieved from Dr. Morris, and the glasses I recieved from the optical have made it possible for me to see better than I have since I was a child. They were very thorough, making sure they checked everything. The gentleman at the optical was super kind!
I am a patient of Dr. Patel. I love coming here because the ladies in the front are friendly, courteous, and professional. Dr Patel is amazing. He has a friendly and jovial demeanor and discusses all of your options and makes he’s recommendations according to your benefit. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that they make sure you don’t forget your appointment. Expect a couple of texts, emails calls to confirm your appointment and the same to remind you as well. I mean it’s annoying but not a dealbreaker. Place is clean also. A lot of options for frames but expensive.
The front desk receptionists are all very professional and polite. They do get busy and just from my observation they are able to handle the flow of patients efficiently. Dr. Korik is great! Very personable, friendly, and professional. She was able to answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable. The overall aesthetics of the office is clean and open.
Local resident, my first time there. After making an appointment online, I was seen the next day! Wait time was not too bad after filling out paperwork. The staff was courteous and friendly. The doctor was just as courteous, and also respectful of my concerns and other health issues. She was very informative and thorough with her examinations, and recommendations. As well was the staff assisting me select the best pair of eyewear for me. The pricing, $$-$$$, is always an eye opener for eyeglasses, but was fair and relatively comparative similar to other retail locations, and they accepted my insurance plan with no issues. I have not received my first pair yet, but so far, I am satisfied and pleased with their services.
I went there with my son. I saw lot of people, I said wow we are going to be here long but no within 15min we were called in because they have so many doctors, the doctor that saw me explained step by step to me even to my little boy, very patient thorough and professional. Best of all I was able to choose the best glasses for myself and my son. Thank you.
I had a very pleasant experience with the doctors and staff members. From scheduling an appointment for my daughter and seeing how awesome and comfortable the doctor made my little one feel and to see the smile in her face! I’m glad their caring and professionalism is what convinced me to continue using their services.
Very very excellent eye doctor location. Had an appointment today for my mother and I at 1:45 and by 2:15, after filling out all of the necessary paperwork for the both of us, we were being seen already. Both doctors we saw were very thorough in their practices and I feel as both of our issues, some that had been overlooked by our prior optometrists, were handled accordingly. Definitely becoming our new location after today! :)
Went in for a normal yearly checkup. The staff was great, friendly, attentive, caring and professional. My doctor was fantastic. She genuinely cared about my eyes and would not hesitate, would recommend this facility as best in the BX. Word is not yet in about the in-house optical center though, frames were expensive and 3 weeks later still waiting for status of order. Will update.
I have never been to an eye doctor since Ive had perfect vision my entire life. But, I was told that after a certain age its good to go see one. Im so glad I did. Their entire staff were so professional and made me feel as if Ive been their client for years. They were so informative, and Im glad Ive chosen Bronx Eye Associates as my primary eye care physicians. Dr. Patel was fantastic. I highly recommend this facility to any one seeking eye care.
I came in late and they were still very forgiving about it and attended me pretty fast. The nurses were very sweet and it feels like they all help each other out which makes for a smooth visit. My doctor was a very cool, sweet woman who explained everything and talked to me like she knew me, which was really nice. Everyone did actually! The process of getting glasses was also smooth and painless. It was truly a five star experience. Thanks so much guys.
I don’t know how this place hasn’t replaced the receptionists because the way they treat people shouldn’t be allowed. When I was called in to the back, this blonde assistant kept telling me to press my face in the machine that checks each eye and i kept doing what she was asking. She wasn’t pleased and she took it upon herself to grab my head, press it against the machine harder and say “like this”. Also, the fact they think it’s ok to talk about patients while being right next to the waiting room is unacceptable. I have decided to go else where for my optic needs. There’s one employee whose is Nelly, or whatever, she was so focused on talking about getting drunk with the other girls while ignoring my questions. The other patients who were waiting along with me were shocked at the ignorance. There’s a place and time for certain conversations. The doctors aren’t horrible, but everyone else is.
Came here for my daughters first eye exam and was super nervous since she is only 3 years old. But all of the staff here was super nice and made my daughter feel comfortable. They even gave her stickers after each test which was a bonus. Seeing how great it went, I decided to get my own eyes checked along with my mom as well. I look forward to returning here for future eye exams.
I really like the time everyone took with me and my Step-daughter. The only thing I wish they had was more affordable kid’s glasses. The glasses went from $70.00 to $200.00 with no in between. I was paying out of pocket and i still had to pay for exam, lenses and anti glare. I would go back just hope they have more affordable prices.
They got me in and out I was the first client so it went kinda fast but started to fill up quickly so I suggest go early. The selection of frames that the insurance covers was about 8 pair all looked the same ugly!! The only frames I liked was $700 so I used my old ones the lenses they recommended was $500 I got them cause I was I a bit of a hurry but everyone is telling me now I should have shopped around . I hope this post can help someone from overpaying which I had read my post before I paid lol .
Every aspect of my visit was worth 5 stars. I experienced first class service from everyone. And they have an excellent selection of frames with many brands to choose from. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Fortunately the associate helping me was very patient and extremely helpful.Thank you Bronx Eye Associates I look forward to a long lasting relationship.
I had an afternoon appointment and was seen on time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and felt welcomed by the entire staff (front desk, techs, and the dr!) The office is clean and spacious. I recommend Bronx Eye to everyone! BTW, they have an eyeglass shop on site! Amazing!!!!
I have been a patient here for almost 5 years. And every time I come it is a pleasurable experience. The doctors know their job and the staff is competent and friendly. I always walk out pleased with my glasses and or contacts. I would recommend Bronx Eye to all my friends and family.
My family and I been patients at Bronx Eye Associates for many years and they always take very good care of me, and particularly the kids. My girls love going for their eye exams. The eye exams are very thorough, with lots of attention paid to every detail. Prices are very reasonable, and there is a great selection of glasses to choose from. I would highly recommend this establishment.
Been a patient for 14 years. I decided to write a review now because I just went there for a checkup and it kind of reminded me. Anytime I have a problem with my eyes the doctors diagnose it well and help me out. Ive had several doctors check my eyes over the years and theyre all very cool and good at finding problems even before they start developing. The staff are also nice and, in general, I have nothing to nitpick :)
I gave this place 1 star not for the service, because I wouldn’t know . Went in person with my mother to make her 1st appointment. She received a text, a call notifying her of my upcoming appointment , but when I got there on time they told me I was not scheduled. My mother showed them the text, let them hear the message, and the place was overcrowded. On top of all this they asked her if she wanted to reschedule. Totally unacceptable not everyone is sitting home collecting public assistance, my mother is retired, a senior citizen, I took a day off to go with her. I do not recommend this facility !!!
Everyone here was super nice, and polite. I had an eye emergency and I love that theyre open really early for everyones convenience. Dr. Orloff took out my splinter and patched up my cornea abrasion :) Overall, it was a smooth, professional experience. Happy I chose to go here.
I appreciate this facility so much! For years I been having issues with my vision, and giving glasses to help with the problem. However, once I started going to Bronx Eye Associates, they gave me honest results on my vision, in which changed how I see. I now wear scleral contacts lenses, which is way better for my eyes. This Facility is clean and the staff are wonderful and very polite. Thank you, Dr. Eleonora and Dr. Patel.
I went there sometime last year paid almost 800 for my lense and frame not included and my daughters glasses seem off since she got them wasn’t very happy with the results, so I decided to get another opinion our prescription when up now We need to get new glasses. Very happy with my new eye doctor and the place is awesome is also on Pelham so my travel it’s bad. I won’t be back to this place wasn’t bad as far as service but not happy that not even a year later I’m getting a new pair
Front line staff was polite and very useful in assisting with paperwork. Dr. Patel was thorough and very good at listening to my issues and concerns. He explained the types of lenses ill need to help with my vision problems in a plain and simple language, easy to understand.
Doctors always profesional kind and awesome . Services at the desk kind of lazy and negative sometimes . Overall DOctors made the day with professionalism. I’m going to keep going and bring my kids there . At the end I feel they want to make profit offering and advising you other services that you insurance don’t cover . Other than that I understand business is business lol I’m happy with the doctors tho I love them 😍
The only place where I trust doctors with my eyes and eyes of my entire family. We often come on Saturdays which is probably their busiest day. Nonetheless, the office is well organized; staff is super helpful and friendly. Always excellent service and personal attention.
Ive been going to Bronx Eye Associated for more then 8 years and I wouldnt trust mine or my familys eyes to anyone else. The doctors are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They offer many eye care services which is helpful and convenient. The staff is committed to giving you the best service possible.
This entire facility is run incompetently. As a supervisor in my medical department I would not tolerate their oversight of patient information, or their failing to communicate vital information to each other for customer service or patient care. On my first exam the doctor was unable to finish my tests and had me reschedule to come in to complete my exams and stated I wouldnt be charged a co-pay or testing for the second visit. That information was not passed to his staff so when I returned for my exams they tried to charge me again and because I was adamant a diligent staff member took the time to look up my info and she waived my fees, much to the annoyance of the other staff member I might add. When I took my son I was told medicaid didnt cover his glasses and had to pay out of pocket only to contact Medicaid and have them say my son was fully covered. When I asked the staff and they did a five minute verification they saw it in the computer and admitted the mistake.I purchased glasses for myself and called to make sure they could be filled. When my husband tried to drop them off he was told they dont know where my records are (all their work is done on computers) and unless I know who worked with me they cant help me. I have never heard such nonsense before! I have paid over $500 for exams, tests and glasses and they cant access my records?Find another ophthalmologist and optometrist that care about their clients and their business.
I had a great experience , i spent around 2 to 3 hours there ,i can understand i didnt have an appointment ..but the doctor were very friendly ,the receptionist were very friendly as well....except when i went to purchase the glasses ,it was a turnover for me if everybody before me sat down and look about their choices try glasses on ect. and when it was my turn you had me standing ,while i was standing and checking my glasses ,2 people that was there left ,and i was still standing and the next 2 people was sitting down ... so low .(jean marc)
I have been a patient in this place for over eight years. Ever since the first visit, the doctor was very attentive, professional and had an outstanding bedside manner. The front desk ladies were professional and kind, the technicians were thorough with pre-testing. The overall atmosphere was professional and very friendly. I have been going for regular check-ups every year since, and the team at Bronx Eye never disappoints. The optical ladies are always helpful with choosing the frames, and the service of manufacturing the lenses is very quick and correct. I have recommended this place to many friends and family members, and have heard only the positive feedbacks. I want to thank Dr. Orloff for being an amazing doctor, allowing me to experience the professionalism for so many years. He does an amazing job with managing the office, the team is trully outstanding.
They were better last year. My children were happy with their glass. Today I saw Dr. Orloff. I have medicaid never had a problem there before, however, she acted like she didnt want to do her job. She shouldnt accept medicaid as insurance if she has an issue with the people. She wasnt professional at all. Dr.s Ive worked for was nothing like her, they treated patients the same but just billed differently according to their insurance. Very bad Dr. Orloff.... Dr. Koric is great, thorough, and she explains in detail your eye exam results with no problem.
The staff and doctors are superb.. they totally go outta there way to make you feel awesome. The time spent here flies bye so fast you wont even realize youve spent half your morning there.. great thoroughly check up .. The staff are great and very patient.. Great atmosphere nice and mellow.. very busy place but you leave very happy and content!
I Thank Dr. Eleonora for being able to help me see 20/20 again, Never thought it was possible but with her experience and her knowledge she saw the problem and proceeded to present a plan to help me see perfect again. We proceeded with PROKERA Contacts and i thank God for her and how she treated me like a friend and not another patient. Thank you Dr. Eleonora and PROKERA Contacts. The team they have as well exceptional service and was humbled to meet such a team.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! From the moment I stepped foot in their door a few weeks ago to me just calling for a simple question, the staff and Dr. Serra have been amazing. They are all so helpful and attentive and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thank you all for such great service!!
Such HORRIBLE customer service. The front desk associate was RUDE. I made an appointment and on the day of my appointment I just happened to call in to confirm the time and was told I was no where in the system. At the closing of the day, I received a call saying I missed my appointment. Really, no I didnt!!! No apology just who answered the phone was looking on the wrong list. I wasnt asked if I would like to reschedule. I am beyond disappointed.
5 star why i like it there no problem and you will be seeing very fast.. a gyal in the testings room not so friendly seem like she cant smile are she dont have any teeth are something. Other than she everyone give u a friendly and welcome face . I recommend everyone to go here

2022-04-06B.E.A are amazing! The staff is courteous and professional. The Doctors are humorous and proficient. The wait times are really good. I scratched my new lenses a week after picking them up. I took them back and they ordered replacements, a week later they arrived and they installed them in 20 minutes!

2022-05-09The receptionists at the desk whose names were Andrea and Jennifer were very courteous and willing to help . They really made it a good experience,as well as the doctors, those receptionists made sure that I saw the doctor on time even though I was very early. is really not a long wait time as long as you have an appointment and you come on time. strongly recommend

2022-01-25Have just come back home from the eye clinic Bronx Eye Associate. Perfect mood for the rest of the day and for long.Everything is perfect! Spacious light waiting room, friendly receptionists. They do not cry hysterically Next, please! but wave with their hand showing they are free and ready to register the next patient. For those who prefer not to bother the receptionist with the registration, there are machines for automatic self-registration.There are a lot of patients, but no one is left sitting and waiting for long - staff members come to each one show them to examinations rooms. Everything works like a good watch, each one performs their duty with no fuss.Doctor Eleonora Orloff, before making the final conclusion about my eyesight, proposed me to occupy her workplace to try reading the text from the computer - with various glasses. She took into consideration even the tiniest remarks of my perception of the text on the screen. The final accord of the professionalism and friendliness in the clinic was made by Robert, the technician. I shyly asked him if anything could be done with my old good frame - I had brought glasses years ago from my home country and I felt not comfortable with them. Robert forwarned that the frame was too old but agreed to try. In less than five minutes he returned me my old glassed, still warm from being processed. They were perfect. And the work cost me nothing - it was the courtesy of Robert! One more thing that attracted my attention - the ethnic diversity of the staff in the Bronx Eye Associate. It seems they speak all the languages that are spoken in our multicultural neighborhood!

2022-07-01Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Wait time is, for the most part, short. It was the first time using Bronx Eye Associate and the fact that I was able to pick the day and time of my appointment right from the website for an issue I was having with my eye was amazing.

2022-02-16The girls at front desk are extremely rude and disrespectful . They are not familiar with insurance co pay practices. They will charge you a co pay when one is not due! Absolutely disgusting what theyre doing at that facility .... clients please beware and please be familiar with your own insurance .

2022-01-07I went for a eye check up, the employees were very sweet and welcoming. Although I got there before my appointment they saw me anyways and the process was both quick and informative. I would definitely recommend.

2021-12-17I cannot recommend enough this place. I walked into the center and they took me in charge on a busy Wednesday night for an emergency. I was pretty panicked and stressed because nothing is more important than eyes. And they took me in charge. The place is so pretty and clean. The staff is so compassionate, kind and helpful. I cant thank them enough for taking care of me, and healing my infected eye.
