Alright so I went yesterday with my mom around 5:30 , so the night shift I guess was working. Anyways, before going I read the reviews and everyone was saying how it was great staff but when we got there, for the urgent care in the first floor there was a staff there. We spoke to her but at first she was kindaish rude. Some other patient was leaving and told us to make an appointment and as soon as she said that the staff closed the laptop she had. Then we told her the problem we had, and she said they would have to take her X-Rays. But she said at that time it was closed, so we asked when do we come. She goes “Monday through Thursday” and then she goes “no Monday through Wednesday and before 3pm” we asked if we needed an appointment and she said no, so we said okay and leave. The staff had an attitude u felt the vibe. But the patient that told us earlier to make an appointment speaks to us and asked us if we made an appointment because they be bad. Okay then my mom went today in the morning at 9am which is the time the other staff told her to come. My mom told them what the other staff said and she goes “thats a lie, we do it everyday and you do need an appointment.” My mom was shook , and thought she would have to come back another day BUT this staff was nice and saw how desperate my mom was and allowed her to get checked up. Thus, morning staff is better.
The facility was very clean. The nurse was insanely heart warming and kind. He could tell i was scared and worried about something so he didnt leave my side and made sure I was being taken care of. The doctor was very patient with me and answered all my questions. Took his time and made sure I didnt leave without any worries or concerns. This place is very nice and I definitely see myself going again.
This place has no business being in the medical care field. When you call their phone number you will immediately be dumped on hold by an extremely rude receptionist until you get frustrated enough that you hang up and call back. When I went in for my covid test, the person at the front desk had me wait while she finished her Instagram post. She didnt even try to hide it. And as far as the test went, I was tested on a Thursday, went through the entire sickness, about 4 days, and was on the rebound before I got my test results. So essentially I paid them to tell me what I already knew. I have never had such a laxed attitude from people in a medical care position especially during a pandemic while youre dealing with an illness that could potentially kill somebody. Now I understand what the black community goes through. But this isnt a failure of the system, because the people that helped me were from the community
I like this place very much! Doctors and other medical staff are pleasent and professional, they have taken a very good care of me that haven’t experience in other places, at least not lately for about a year now!I did not have to wait for an appointment as I used to wait for many weeks in other places! Therefore I am thankfull and appreciate it very much.Best regards,Elma
I went for a COVID test appointment and the place was empty. Receptionist looks bothered by my presence. They skip my turn for another patient that came in 10 mins after me. I spent around 40 mins, again the place was empty. When I addressed this to the front desk she didn’t see to care. I asked her to speak to a supervisor ( there was none). Unbelievable. She told me to speak to the doctor. Which I tried, but “Dr. Storie” was so rude and unprofessional that she just ignored and told the receptionist thing didn’t work like that. Finally I left the place very disappointed about this place. They didn’t have any kind of respect for my time or myself. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
Went here 9/16 to get seen. I’m a remote employee and my employer is based in another state as is my health insurance. Before coming to this place I went on my insurance’s website and make sure they’re listed as a provider in the network (they were). I get there, the place is empty, and I’m thinking “great I’ll get seen immediately”. The receptionist was nice until she saw my insurance, then decided they can’t take me bc my insurance is based out of state. I showed them proof that they’re listed as part of my network and they still refused to take me. I then called my insurance provider to confirm whether or not this place is in network and they confirm it is so I go back to the front desk, this time the receptionist doesn’t even look up while I’m speaking to her and proceeds to tell me that even though they’re listed as an in-network provider, management won’t take me because “they’ve had problems billing out of state insurance in the past.” Staff is rude, misinformed, and apparently so incompetent when it comes to medical billing that they turn away patients who desire to be seen. 0/10 will not recommend.
Probably the best if not THE BEST Urgent Medical Care in THE BRONX!!! I have been here the past 4 days and every single day their hospitality and customer service is TOP NOTCH. From the wait time to their treatments is just incredibly fast but caring for your medical issue. The friendliest and caring staff and physicians ever!! I do not like to go to any medical care clinics or the ER for that matter. I’ll most definitely make this site my #1 selection if I ever have to get any medical assistance. If I can give them 10 stars I would give them 11!!
Bad experienceI will never go back there, very rude, misleading and unprofessional never gives proper Info and rude cant remember you made an appointment while you have a confirmed appointment on a text. When you go there very misleading . Those ladies working there need to be re trained very bad for business. The doctors are excellent but those Ladies working there need to be fired. All of them. You deserve no star but the doctors made me give just a star.
I love this place, they can do blood work xrays, cat scans all in one place. I love the fact that you are in and out in couple hrs not 16 hrs like if you go to a NY emergency room. Doctors are nice and reception are helpful and nice. I waited a whole 24hrs in pain just because it was new years and i knew the place was closed. And better yet they are open weekends.
I must say this is one of the best urgent cares Ive been to.. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and attentive. Dr.paikin was amazing! Thank you for not rushing through and taking your time to listen and to also explain step by step on how to treat my son with a very bad cold.
The employees are nice in general. Theyve always been pleasant to my little son and myself. Give him stickers on the way out. Although there are instances when they can be dismissive or oblivious to you. However that seems to be the case in most medical waiting rooms. While this new system of checking yourself in via an iPad mounted at the front desk counter is an efficient sign of the times it unfortunately contributes to a sense of impersonality and aloof disconnect. Overall the environment is pleasant and friendly and the staff appear to get along well with each other which is important. Usually no problems in the waiting room however on the afternoon of 04/17 an individual in his early twenties came in to be seen by a doctor and spent his twenty minutes of waiting time plus time seated in an examination room setting up and concluding a drug buy and sell over his mobile phone while cursing profusely and using the “n” word every few seconds. All within earshot of an entire waiting room of patients including a family with a four year old child and the front staff. This is obviously not the problem of the medical office and not their fault. Just a general remark on the state of affairs in the neighborhood. I was absolutely disgusted and just another reminder why the Bronx is still the Bowels of the Boroughs. Oh, and on his way out, he did make certain to give the staff a big toothy smile and a “have a great day, ladies!” Hmmnn...so I suppose that makes everything else he said and did alright? On the opposite end of the spectrum another waiting room patient suffered a seizure in the room that same afternoon and the staff including the attending doctor quickly and professionally handled the situation which is certainly a real world recommendation for them. This office is an excellent medical resource to residents of the immediate neighborhood for all your minor or emergency needs. The doctors in attendance take the time to fully explain your situation, remedies, options, and their recommendations on those options. They did an expert job of removing a quarter inch piece of soft wood that had accidentally driven into my finger underneath the fingernail. They used enough local anesthetic so there wasn’t any pain and worked quickly. In future visits, I’ve had the staff remark in a friendly way as to how my finger was doing or how my son was feeling. Which is very nice and promotes a pleasant local “at home” feel for the office.
I made appointment for a chest xray over a week ago for last tuesday, when I arrived was told xray technician was sick & they rescheduled for today only when I called them was told no xrays on friday & saturday, beside that drove around for 45 minutes looking for parking as not familiar with area!I was in hospital in december for corona virus & was told had pneumonia, & since I dont have primary care physician I thought urgent care would help! Was I wrong about that
Everyone there is great. The wait was not too long compared to other places and much better than going to the ER. I would like to say they should put up a sign stating no talking in cell phones while in the waiting room because that is super disruptive especially when your not feeling well .
I was very pleased with my recent visit to Bronx Park Urgent Care. Dr. Paikin was very courteous and helpful as always. I have been coming to this medical facility for many years, and will continue to be a patient here. Its a great alternative to an emergency room for the community.
This urgent medical care facility took care of me and the doctor was concerned about my personal situation. They took my vitals and I was asked questions regarding my situation. This facility and staff were sufficient with my dilemma. There were speedy and I wasnt late to school.
I Got What I Expected! The right doctors matter. Whenever, I am in need of Urgent Care, I go to 2016 Bronxdale Avenue.Doctor Paikin is the kind of emergency or urgent care doctor that everyone should experience in this kind of setting. He is a caring professional who goes the extra mile. I expected to be treated & cared for in a clean medical center and I was.
This place is very efficient, the staff is very welcoming, and the Dr are comprehensive. There is a full service radiology lab on premises and depending on the hours (they usually match) you can get radiology testing done with results on the spot. Dr Paikin is phenomenal.
Sadly I will never go back to this place. I previously went to this clinic in 2019 and got seen with no problem. I go this week and now they don’t provide this service anymore. The receptionists made me feel uncomfortable when asking what I was there for and when the doctor came out from the back he must of recognized me and gave me a weird look. It was like he knew what I was there for and knew he was going to send me away. Never going back.
I have to say this is the worst urgent care i been to, i was referred by a friend and never again will i return, i waited 3 hours in the waiting area, the staff was completely unprofessional, especially the doctor, once in a room i waited another half hour, she did not once look at me she was short with her responses. and continued to text while sitting with me. when she walked out i heard her speaking about me called me rude and said i was angry because and i had vaginal discharge i shouldve used a condom. her and another female doctor were laughing and speaking about me assuming i could not hear. needless to say i walked out and and informed the front desk apparently this Dr. Ahn is the director and there is no one else to complain to. this place is unprofessional and will not recommend anyone here. the doctor should have her license pulled.
Did the pcr test, i had the swap when I had pneumonia, but not as rough as today, not sure if the doctor need to use the swap like doing cleaning inside my nose.. too rough for me.. feel bad for my 7 years old.. 4 stars for the urgent care itself.. if you ask if I want to do the pcr test again there, its a big NO.. got headache afterward.
It’s the day after Christmas my primary care doctor is closed and two of my children are sick. This place was heaven sent, the location is convinient the staff was really polite and the doctor was great. I only waited for a couple of minutes and within 30 mins I was already out the office. I love their online booking system, it made everything a breeze.Really grateful for this place.
The ladies at the counter were clear with instructions. The doc (dr.Pekin, I think is the name) was extremely knowledgeable and thorough wich is so important also he spent sufficient time explaining everything and listening to my encerns! Also, the wait time was short, all together, I spent less than 1 hr and I was done, btw, they do blood work and there’s imaging in the same building so you don’t have to run around to diff places for that, great job!
I grade Bronx Park Urgent Care Medical Center four stars. Everything went well until it came time to do the COVID test. The physician failed to properly inform me that when the swab is put in my nostrils I may sneeze. And this was what happened. There was tissue paper in the room but it was out of reach. My advice for BPUCMC is to add this to your protocol. Inform the patient properly that they may react to the test. Hand tissue paper or a hand napkin to patient before inserting the swab into their nostrils. At this time of uncertainty, a sneeze without covering ones mouth and nose could result in the spread of COVID unnecessarily.
Used there solv app to book an appointment, they honor the booking whenever they feel like like it, for example according to the solv app i was supposed to be seen next , yet when i bought it to the attention of the receptionists one said Im next, the other receptionist still called other people in before me.
They are hustlers! They tend to overcharge you during your visit and mail you a bill several months later for what you are suppose to pay. I had to fight for almost 6 months to get my money in return and had to threaten to get the media involved. Ive been attending this location for a few years and I was very disappointed with their hustling behavior. I will never return to this facility again. Greed is a terrible thing!
Good clinic, the doctors who treat me are good, they have always helped me and solve the problem that I present, the only thing they should change is the appointment, they are at one hour, respect it because I can wait for more than an hour to be treated and There are not many people, the nurse is slow to take the pressure, I wish it were faster.

2022-06-14I received great service from the nurses and the treating physician. The doctor addressed my concerns promptly. The waiting area and treatment rooms were clean, although the rooms needed painting. I would recommend using this practice for urgent care. Review update- this medical practice does not have a working email address. The doctor offered to email my CT scan and a medical referral. I did not receive the email, so I called back to verify my email. I learned from the receptionist about their email issue. I then requested to speak to the management, and my call went to a line that rang without an answer. Unacceptable!

2022-06-10First time patient at the OB /GYN and it wasnt as i expected. I was scheduled as the last patient and the Doctor seemed to be focus on something else besides attending me. She keep asking the same questions over and over as if i didnt answer them before. My visit seems a bit rushed but I was overall okay since this isnt my first pregnancy and I am self educated. My husband did not feel engaged or welcomed during the appointment that he felt so uncomfortable he decided to step out. I wanted to give this place another chance because i know how it is having one last patient after closing in the office. But if this is an ongoing issue they should be mindful about scheduling patients late in the day.I returned for additional testing and blood work a few days later. Staff was ok, except for the midwife, when asked questions she replied as if I was uneducated, I also work in the medical field, and not concerned at all with my feelings or well-being.I asked if she would be able to help me but instead when she knew I worked for an urgent care she said maybe i should go there since they are my friends. Seriously??? Since i was not there to see her personally when i asked if i was done with my visit she rudely replied well i dont know what your here for instead of saying let me see if youre done or Im not sure I can ask the person whom you last saw if that was all that was needed. She was extremely rude and discussed my concerns in front of another person who did not work there, even tried to include her in the conversation to have someone agree with her, without any consideration.I am a local resident and I was not expecting both visits to be this way. I also work in the medical field and know this isnt how matters show be handled.

2022-05-14Ive been going to Bronx Park Urgent Medical care for a couple of years now and their service is excellent. I get there early, go over what is wrong, and see the doctor without a long wait. The doctors arent quick to dismiss my concerns and review any prescribed medications. This is how a doctors visit should be and unfortunately I cannot say the same for other facilities or clinics in the Bronx.

2022-01-14Receptionists are professional and easy to speak with. The medical associates are friendly and professional. You can ask them anything and the response is quickly answered respectfully. I love Dr. Paikin, because he is very patient and listens to whatever illness you are explaining to him. He checks you and explains the end results. It is very easy to make an appointment and the waiting room time is very short.

2021-12-02Went in and it wasn’t too packed but there was still a wait due to staffing. The girl at the front desk was attentive and Dr. Paikin is friendly, thorough and helpful! Hopefully won’t be back for any other medical issues but would recommend this place.Parking sucks though so arrive early. Please be patient with them if they are having staffing issues. They will help you!

2022-01-12Dr Paikin and the office staff are the best of the best. Dr Paikin is a physician that other physicians would want to be their doctor. His calm bedside manner is quite therapeutic, The nurses are caring and front desk are always on point.
