No rhyme or reason to anything the staff is doing here. We came in on Sunday at 10am (they open at 8am) and they had ONE employee for both treatment and covid testing.Upon arrival there were 3 patients ahead of us, all there for treatment. After over a 2 hour wait, one of those patients left stating she will take her chances at home and try again tomorrow, and we still hadn’t been seen.I went to speak with the administrative staff member to get a more accurate wait time, for a second time, where he informed me that there was still someone ahead of us, however, every single person had some in after us.Let me say that I understand priority in terms of severity etc. this is not the case in this situation. Everyone was here for a reasonable ailment.Horrible patient experience. Terrible communication between staff and patients. You’re better off going directly to the emergency room. Neither visit is free and at least you’ll get treatment in a timely manner.I wish I could give zero stars but, the facility was immaculate so I’ll give them credit for that.

In the vast world of Urgent care in NYC there are so many better choices than the Brookdale Urgent Care Center. One thing people expect from an urgent care center is expedient medical care for minor ailments that don’t quite rise to the level an emergency. This is mainly where Brookdale falls short. When I visited their facility my entire visit took 3 hours. Mind you, that’s 2 hours and 45 minutes waiting and 15 minutes with the NP who, by the way, was quite nice. The reception staff, on the other hand, is slothful and oblivious. When I first entered the center the front desk was abandoned. Rule number one: THE FRONT DESK SHOULD NEVER BE UNMANNED! When the receptionist rolled in 10 minutes later I found her to be sluggish and semi-conscious at best. She never asked me my chief complaint; nor did anyone else other than the NP, but she did ask me if my vision was impaired. I thought that this was a ridiculous question as my prescription lens where firmly affixed to my face. When I asked for clarification she replied, “I’m trying to ascertain if you’re legally blind.” WHAT?!? I will say to their credit; the facility is clean and the waiting area is fairly comfortable. Their wait times are just unacceptable as other urgent cares have far less wait times. Their front desk staff needs to be seriously retrained. Nothing is more annoying when you’re sick or in pain than to watch a group of ratchet women drink lattes and gossip about their co-workers.

If I could give this factility 0 stars I would!. I arrived before 3pm to get a covid test done. Long story short I waited hours in vain because I wasn’t placed on the list to get the test. These people are the worstDonot go to this facility or the hospitalSave yourself the stress and go to another health facility

I prefer to come here. Once in a while, the wait can be a bit much. But most times everything worked out. Plus the pharmacy in the office is a plus. Depending on the situation, I prefer to come here and use my insurance with no co pay instead of paying a $50 co pay with my insurance at the more mainstream urgent care centers. They do the same. The place is always clean. If I want in and out then Id go to a mainstream office and pay.

Came to urgent care in excruciating pain! The NP gave me a treatment option being antibiotics which I requested!!!. Only for the NP to tell me I had to go to the ER. After waiting for over 2 hours in the ER the very unprofessional doctor that I eventually did see...............prescribed me antibiotics. WOW

Stay away! The most unprofessional ethics and conduct I ever interacted with in my life. I had a painful bump/blister/spot in an intimate area I couldn’t reach I had a $50 copay. Since I waited over 2 hours I limped back to the receptionist and demanded a refund. The receptionist said she didn’t know where her supervisor was.I asked a nurse for a supervisor. She said the supervisor leaves at 6. It was around 5:20 the supervisor should be available. To add to the unprecedented level of unprofessionalism several members were arguing in a vacant room next door. I didn’t know at the time there was a woman as every time She had passed by sh gave a glaring nasty look at me. Not once addressing me or indicating she was my assigned nurse. The way I found out she was my nurse is (wait for it) was the a—-hole of a practitioner. Because of the fact I couldn’t sit up straight I had to lay on my side. I had my phone out to keep my distracted from the pain. This practitioner came in and said “oh you relaxing” (I think she was a st Lucian lady. Dark complexion) then did the unthinkable and ran back out the room to get my nurse. This is how I found out who was my nurse. As I asked her if she thought that was necessary and I asked for a refund over 2 hours ago. She had snapped at me. I told her idk if it’s cut, bump or something else but “again this is far from relaxing” she said okay. No vitals no nothing just a transfer to Beth Israel hospital. Adding to the a-hole score of the practitioner she pulls away one of my ambulatory service escorts (assist ambulance services) brings her into an empty room while smiling and gossips for over 5 minutes. I hold her partner get you partner out here. He looked hesitant. Finally she came out.I tried to call my bank they fought tooth an nail against my dispute. Called my insurance company, and reported it to Jumaane Williams (he is just a media Who— I used to get a ton of mail from him at my Brooklyn house now he can’t help me!?)So to sum it up. I regret not taking video of the poor excuse of a nurse and practitioner. I have the transfer paper” and I would like to thank to poor performance of each an every member a interacted with. I got into politics and aim to address the price gouging and unprofessionalism of hospitals and urgent care centers like Brookdale.Fields of medical should not be associated with a profit mentality. These people are here to help, and if they can’t do so or at least have that as a first priority they need to be fired.
