Review.Food: Nice small menu. Sourdough is the big deal. Salad was plain and sweet potatoes were dry. Good basil and other dressings. Fresh pastries.Service: no table service. Staff are nice.Ambiance: Plain white room with no design. One can see how they prep the food in the kitchen.High chairs and tables.Prices: expensive.Overall: If you like the name artisan so you may be convinced to come eat here. Otherwise nothing special.
While I enjoyed the coffee and food from BK Artisan Bakehouse, I don’t feel comfortable walking inside there because most of the time, employees and patrons are not wearing masks. I understand that customers can’t wear masks while eating, but they don’t wear them while walking around either. It also doesn’t seem like this business limits the number of people allowed inside. I’m not one to leave negative google reviews, but how this shop is conducting business during this pandemic is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous.
Small menu. Food is presented beautifully. Kale Caesar salad was delicious, but a little pricey. The salads came out right away but my friends power breakfast took a bit longer than it should have. After we were finished, the owner brought us a chocolate croissant on the house, and it was delicious. Would definitely go back.
My original review gave them 4 stars (less one star because of the service) I changed it today because I was seriously disappointed. My husband ordered a dish asking if there was mushrooms. He dislikes mushrooms, they said no. He explained that he only wants that dish if there are no mushrooms. The dish comes out with mushrooms. So they apologize and make him a new one. The new one came out and the chef actually sat down a few tables away to eat the dish we returned. The fish was extremely salty barely edible. When I told them that the dish was too salty they just looked at him like hes crazy. Note that the chef ate 3 bites of ther discarded dish and went to throw it out. He couldnt eat it either. My husband ate it because he was really hungry and really didnt want to make a fuss but I am so disappointed because I really liked this place and came often.
Obsessed with this place - coffee is solid, the cinnamon buns are bomb, croissant is top notch (and I am from Montreal so I have a discerning palate when it comes to croissants). Hours are great for studying and the savory food that I have tried--salmon with potatoes--really hit the spot. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, though I do have one suggestion for the management: they should sell their breads at this location!! I would buy them.
Used to have a higher rating based on the food, I was always able to substitute or change my order i.e ask them to remove certain foods items from the plate like parmesan. They no longer accommodate any requests, that combined with the lacking customer service I would suggest going elsewhere. My recommendation would be Almah Cafe.
Alright, this place has hands down the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The icing is perfect, the roll itself is flaky (which is different, but really interesting and works really well with the icing), and its big but not Cinnabon big. Looking forward to coming back someday and trying more of what they have.
My wife ordered a pesto Panini with guacamole, and it was outstanding bursting with flavor, I ordered pasta with zucchini and carrots and it was supposed to have a spicy sauce, but it was actually very bland I would suggest staying away from the pasta, the ladies behind the counter or very helpful
It was a nice place to eat however I found it to be overpriced especially for the bread portions that they gave. Being that the name is Brooklyn artisan bakehouse I would think they would want to showcase their bread and give decent size portions of their bread to their customers when they purchase a meal.overall it was ok.
Ive been here twice now and both times I try something from their food menu. I was very pleased with both dishes. I actually havent tried any of their pastries and so far everything has been great. For the cheap people saying that the place is overpriced, they couldnt be more wrong. They serve quality food at a great price and the service is great. Will definitely recomment and I will definitely be back.
Had a very nice experience at the Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse,The food was delicious, and best of all food was the cinnamon buns I never knew that I could enjoy a cinnamon bun this much,Overall it is a very clean place, very friendly service,Reservations are not required, but can get a little overcrowded at busy times of the day

2021-12-31This place has the most delicious pastries and baked breads, but their quality, both in service and quality has gone down. While most of the dishes were pretty good, the soup was so so, and the shakshuka looked more like a stew or a watery cholent, see picture. When I asked the girl at the counter about it. She said she could not help me, she didnt make the food.

2022-02-17Unbelievable! There was a piece of black gunk that tasted like oven cleaner in my wifes vegetables. I showed the chef the black gunk and he tried to tell me its from the purple carrot. lol its not purple its black gunk that tastes like oven cleaner. It Staind the plate and wouldnt wipe off with a tissue. No help or an apologyThe gunk burnt the inside of my wifes mouth andshe is still in pain 2 days later I tried to talk to a manager and the owner but they ignore me and dont want to call back. Like seriously how can somebody not apologize for such a big mistake?

2019-11-07Decent food, but when I walked through the door they looked at me like I had five heads. And, the counter staff were a bit indifferent. I guess their not used to serving people who are...not Jewish...

2021-10-28The salmon was, in the words of my coworker who ate it taste good & kale is kale. I have to admit it was also generously portioned and had what appeared to be a healthy, not overly pink color.I didnt see the variety of pastries noted in other posts. No cakes or danish,To be quiet honest the behind the counter staff werent that friendly/welcoming, to outsiders. I was able to sit back and observe the interactions with other customers & they were cordial & friendly. The space is nice., the esthetics simply/nicely rustic. Sorry to say, I ate nothing.
