Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company in other cities:
I consider Brooklyn Bagel to be one of the best bagel places in NY. So many option for bagels including healthy ones. Many varieties of cream cheeses & even tofu. They also have bagel sandwich options & pancakes. I wish they had more organic options though. My favorite is the whole wheat everything bagel with veggie cream cheese/tofu. I often get bagels to go & prices are great for the quality (warm & chewy) & size of the bagel. They are big & it is hard to finish one for a single person. Great breakfast option for meetings as well. Highly recommended!!
Edit to add: may 29th I should have learned my lesson but I never do. Ordered a lox bagel for 14 dollars and got ripped off again. And they didnt even send it on the correct bagel. About to give up on brooklyn bagel entirely.I still like the bagels but the quality of how the sandwiches are made has declined soooo much. I probably order weekly from here andIve gotten burnt bagels, liquified cream cheese and barely any lox (only 2 slices thats not the 1/4 lb noted on the menu) on a 20 dollar sandwhich. Quality is hit or miss which is upsetting on delivery orders.
Tried their Flavour of the day(Blueberry I think)..Was chewy and fresh.Got some cream cheese along with it and they are generous!A thick layer inside. The 16 Oz hot chocolate is warm but nothing extraordinary I guess..just good old hot chocolate. The initial order taking was smooth but the collection is a bit messy. They can call out numbers out of order.Another thing that is confusing is that beverages have to be ordered at the cashier and collection so thats a bit confusing as well.Place is compact and seating is limited..so many grab to go.
Would’ve given 3.5 stars, maybe I was unlucky. My toasted coconut bagel ($1.40) was chewy and seemed like it was from yesterday; tofu cream cheese ($2.15) was ok, but I had better.Coffee is average neither good or bad.Employees were nice. The place itself is very small and cramped. No outside seating. Most likely you’ll need to wait for a place to sit. Some customers are rude, saw the lady walked to a table and asked two girls to empty seats even though they haven’t finished eating. I would suggest to save your nerves and order only to go if the place’s busy.
First time here and I loved it! Really cool looking cafe with art and nice designs. The bagels were amazing! And they were really big and inexpensive. The cream cheese serving was a lot. Maybe a little too much but you do get your moneys worth. But they a very wide variety of delicious cream cheeses to choose from. The bagels were toasted perfectly and they were very fresh. Definitely would recommend this place and I wanna visit whenever Im in NY. The rainbow bagel is what I got. And then I went up the street for some Starbucks.
I just placed an order and it wasnt good. I called to let them know and they didnt care. I order a gluten free bagel (they used to baked it there, now they get it from udis) The bread was cold, need to be toasted, couldnt toast it here an home because the bread already had the spread BACON scallion, which smells and taste weird. I called to let them know and they seem not care. If you go to this place, make sure you taste a sample before spread it to your bread. GF food is very expensive, so it really upsets me to throw away full and the restaurant didnt seem to care. WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN FROM THIS PLACE
Oh boy oh boy. This bagels and toppings are great. I was eating them on on breakfast for a week and I gained about 2 pounds. But it was great. They can even make you two different toppings on one bagel. My favorite toppings are Honey Bacon Sriracha and Strawberry. I can even compare this bagels to croissants served in Paris.
Bagels are fresh and huge and tasty! Lots of choices. Cream cheeses are fantastic and all worth it. Highlights include bacon and scallion cream cheese and jalapeño Asiago! Credit cards accepted. A little pricey but worth it! Lines usually out the door. Highly recommended!
The best bagel in the US! I traveled all the way to have this bagel from SF after moving, and of course no regret or no disappoint. I miss this place so much. I used to live in this area for more than 4 years and visited this place almost every morning to have a bagel with quality cream cheese flavors. Always this place is the best.
My absolute favorite bagel place! So happy I’m in delivery range. I may never make breakfast for myself ever again. Perfectly chewy bagel, always toasted just right. The best ingredients that are never too greasy and always taste fresh. Delicious and strong cold brew. And really quick and friendly delivery. Order now, for real :)
Bagels is yummy.. I had sausage and egg on everything bagel. Everything was fresh and bagels is great you dont need to toast the bagel. The only you need to pay attention they give you one egg and one sausage or one egg and 2 slice of bacon traditionally usually get two eggs and three slices of bacon or two eggs and two sausages.
This has been my favorite bagel place for years. Friendly staff, great options and the best bagel in NYC. No other bagel compares. Dense and chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside and generously sized. There’s always a line out the door on the weekends for good reason!
I ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a cinnamon raisin bagel and a rainbow bagel with blueberry cream cheese.. absolutely delicious!! The sandwich was pretty big and the cream cheese tasted fresh! No artificial flavor, real blueberries in it!! Definitely recommend this spot for a hearty breakfast!!
While there are no shortage of bagel places here in Astoria, BB is the best in terms of quality. The bagels here do taste different for some reason, making them good even with just some cream cheese or butter. But, they also boast a good number of sandwiches and other options, along with a Mexican hot chocolate and fresh squeezed oj.
Ive been going here for years. It is my favourite place of all time. Everything Ive ever consumed has been beyond delicious and so fatty satisfying. Loose bagels for freezing, wraps and sandwiches, coffee, fresh squeezed oj, all the cream cheeses. Unmatched, unparalleled, delicious. Id probably eat all my meals here if I was more tubby..... or pregnant. So yum every time. No seating now with covid. The seating space is a little makeshift gallery. No outdoor seating either so be advised! Plexi glass shields are present as well. Theyre doing their best to survive. Always busy.
Wow!!!! Absolutely best bagels, take it from a 3rd generation new yorker! Ive searched far and wide for the best tuna salad as well and they have the best!!! Better than homemade, now I know where to get my bagels and sandwiches. And it never falls apart when eating even the most giant sandwich lol. I made them load it with their fresh, delicious toppings and i couldnt believe it all was so perfect!!!
Not worth the money. What a waste of $16.49. Purchased sliced nova on a Begal with tomatoes rezoning and cream cheese. They charged everything separately on the receipt. $10.50 for the sliced salmon and only put ONE paper thin slice on the sandwich. Very disappointed. Wish there were some way to get my money back. Hopefully no one else will go there. What a shame.
Its not even up for debate, this is the best bagel place in the city. The cream cheeses are amazing and the bagels are perfect. A lot of interesting bagel sandwiches you can come up with. My favorite: everything bagel with sausage patty and bacon sriracha cream cheese, 😍
Awesome spot for some quick bagels! I tried the Cooper, a real tasty lox bagel. They even have French toast bagels which were perfect with a strawberry cream cheese spread. They also offer breakfast sandwiches if you prefer. The staff were nice and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Brooklyn bagel and coffee company may very well be the best bagel shop in Astoria. It has an extensive variety of bagels with a few seasonal entries and an equally satisfying selection of smear. Both the bagels and the cream spreads are exceptionally tasty, the service is quite fast even in rush hour and the prices are not high at all. It is worth mentioning that the bagels themselves are quite large and they do not spare the smear. If you go in hungry, you will come out full. There are other choices if you do not fancy a bagel, like regular bread or wrap, but I have never tried them. Im always there for the bagel. The shop itself is fairly small so most of the time there are no available seats so dont aim for sitting in.
Fantastic bagels! This is a great place for someone that wants a nice Long Island bagel. I had the multi grain bagel with lox, regular cream cheese, and onion. It was just what I wanted and it was a lot of food. I think I was content for 4 hours after eating it. The cream cheese is heavy heavy and rich so be prepared if you are not used to heavy creme, I would ask for not as much creme cheese. The people preparing the bagels are generous with the amount of cream cheese they give you. Very clean, nice facility, and great options to put on your bagel. They also make sandwiches, and wraps. And the soup looked really nice! The coffee was very nice and a good price for a small cup.
The aroma of well crafted bagels entices your senses when you first walk in. Appreciate having both mini and full size bagels. Great selection of spreads including flavor of the week (this week it was red velvet). The bagels are textbook perfect - soft on the inside, gently chewy on outside. As a bonus, service was patient and helpful!
Best bagels in NYC. Made in-house. For perspective I am born and raised in NYC and Ive seen the closing of all the good bagel makers over the years. Essa, H&H, and all the great places on the Lower East Side. This place is the gold standard. And a dozen different cream cheese variations to choose from.
The bagels here are fantastic and the coffee is great too. They have some the best service in the city and the atmosphere here is very chill. Everybody is friendly that works here and they really do try to make your visit worth it with the little things. Like getting to know you by name or just remember your usual order, stuff like that.
They make their bagels onsite, and theyre pretty good. Lots of selection for bagels and cream cheeses. Small space and ordering is a bit weird- order food from side counter, get ticket, then go to front counter and order drinks and pay. $3 for a cream cheese bagel. Not my favorite customer service experience.
This place has the best bagels Ive ever had. They offer vegan options, like hummus (my favorite) and a couple of tofu spreads, which make me happy. Unfortunately they havent figured out how to move the line when its busy. Thats been the case for many years, and despite several attempts to redesign their process, it continues to be an issue.
Great bagel spot. Got a bacon, egg and cheese with a regular coffee. The customer service was very good and extremely fast. The only downside of Brooklyn Bagel was the price. We spent $20 between the two of us for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. That being said, you get your moneys worth.
The best best but really best Bagel shop in the whole world!!!! After youll eat their Bagel, doesnt matter with what you choose, no other bagel ever will be good again or reach to Brooklyn Bagel level!!!! And the line is long I know, but its worth the wait, or order online and just come and pick up.Need more branches around NYC for sure!!!!
Awesome place. Best bagels. Queens shop on Broadway reigns supreme. Everyone works together like a fine tuned watch. Ability to consistently turn out quality bagels and service tons of people with personal requests is key. The man taking the orders is the lynchpin. Impressive shop.
When I used to live around the corner it was my go to Bagel spot. I recommend it to everyone. It also says something because there is always a huge line out the door on the weekends. Their freshly squeezed OJ hits the spot. It smells so good inside, and I love how they display their bagels too!
I love bagels and early in the morning for me is important to eat something I like so I can start my day in way I want. This is why I buy my bagels from this spot. They are fast even if there are a line. Ussualy in the morning there a lot of people but this is how you can understand that they are going good. And dont forget the coffee :)
Pretty reliable place with wide selection of bagels. Best to go early if you want to ensure youll get your bagel of choice as the popular bagels sell out often. Always a new flavor to try, but my recommendation is straight egg and cheese with a little ketchup. They can be a little heavy handed with the cream cheese if you dont ask them to be put less on.Always busy on the weekends with lines out the door, so again, go super early or be prepared to wait. Coffee is also really good.
Its been almost 2 months since my husband and I had the privilege to eat here, wow, we cant stop talking about it - and we usually have a lot to talk about... We had the vegan veggie (vegan cream cheese with grated veg) and the cinnamon raisin (also with a sweeter cream cheese). Both on the everything bagel. So fresh, flavorsome, filling and generous!Thankyou for having us !!!
Be prepared for a long line with very little seating so grab one while you can. The place has at least 20 types of bagels and about the same amount of cream cheese. They also have miscellaneous bakery items including cookies, croissants, muffins and more. I would highly recommend going if you have the time.
My wife and I love this place! I was born and raised in New York City and this place was a frequent visit throughout my many years living in the city. The blueberry bagel is my favorite with blueberry cream cheese. Every bagel from Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee is delicious. Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee should be on everyone’s list to get a taste of what New York City has to offer.
Best bagel in New York. I will say their breakfast bagels (anything with egg) can be a bit bland since it doesnt seem like they add salt/pepper to the egg. A couple dozen different smears and bagel flavors. This location has seating for 12-15 people and is always busy in the morning/afternoon.
Great selection of bagels & flavored cream cheese. Great service. Hadnt been there in a while and now theyve organized the order & payment process much better. The option to pre-order from their app is great too, itll be ready when you get there, just grab it off the shelf & go!
So Im from New York for a very long time and I am particular about my bagels. Gotta have an Everything, well-done, toasted dark, butter on the side. They make a very high quality one on-site - crispy crust, nice risen inside, not bloatedly plump. For those who like other toppings/spreads, I have never seen such an elaborate variety of appealing sweet, savory, spicy you name it - several dozen choices - something for everyone. Looks really good but I just like the butter.Very popular place but can generally find a comfy spot to sit. Friendly clientele. Line may be out the door but it moves very fast - no worries. Their system stymies me a bit - never sure whether to order at the left food area or at the front counter but either way it seems to work out. Friendly, motivated, accommodating staff.Very tasty coffee too, by the way. They do it just right.
Based on the reviews I have to say that this bagel shop is completely overrated. My bagel was overcooked and seemed stale at 8 am on a Saturday. I ordered bacon scallion cream cheese and it was as if they dont taste any of their spreads. The amount of scallions was overwhelming. Scallions are meant to compliment the flavors but to just throw massive handfuls of scallions and bacon in what Im sure is beyond bland cream cheese produces a disgusting result. I cant believe how hard it is to get a decent bagel in queens these days. I have to drive all the way to Bayside to Bagel Club to get a good bagel. ill give this place another shot and edit my review accordingly but Im not getting my hopes up and you shouldnt either.
What a selection! Freshly made in house bagels with their own cream cheeses and unique spreads, breakfast here is always a treat. Top it off with fresh squeezed orange juice or coffee and youre sure to have a great start to your day. Staff is always happy and helpful, but inside can get crowded.
Amazing selection! good old fashioned ny bagel, have tons of original and unique cream cheese options, lines long on the weekend, very attentive and hardworking staff, look at the menu before and be prepared to order! very satisfying and great quality, the person breakfast, and if your lucky enough to be able ot get a seat, sit back and enjoy people watching with your delicious treat
Bagels are really good, BUT their weekday morning crew is in dissaray and were all bickering at each other in front of customers. There was about 5 customers when I walked in yet we all waited a painfully long time to get our orders. Plus they got my order wrong on top of that. Management needs to hire staff that are trained and know how to work together.
Their almond croissants are amazing amazing! But always run out by noon. Its incredibly frustrating when youve waited in line for 20 mins and they run out just as you get to order. :(The bagels and coffee are great too, and they have some good sandwiches and soups. Just be prepared to always wait in line for a bit before you can place your order.
This place is like a drug. They are truly the best bagels Ive ever had in this city. The sandwiches are great. The only downside seems to be they have not come up with a good system when you check out. The area around the register tends to get frenetic during peak hours. This place gets a line out the door. Go early, or check Google for the downtimes.
YO THE BEST BAGELS IN ASTORIA! Ugh I love them so much. My true weakness. The everything bagel is truly my everything. The line on the weekend can get mad long, but it’s honestly worth the wait. Idk why it’s called Brooklyn bagel cause this is QUEENS, but ok I still love it.
The only reason for 2 stars is because the bagels are awesome. Recently they’ve started a new digital ordering and fulfillment system and it’s ruined them. Lines take so much longer, everyone behind the counter looks disorganized, orders come out wrong. Plus, if you try to skip the line with their online app ordering you’ll just be more frustrated. Took over an hour for them to make my order of a dozen bagels and two sandwiches. Ordered at 10:10am, email said it’d be ready at 10:55 (crazy enough already) and when I arrived they JUST started putting it together. Wasn’t done until 11:15, didn’t realize it until I was already gone but not only did they take over an hour but the order was wrong. They should go back to the old system, it was a better and faster experience.
Updated review: Brooklyn Bagels has a solid reputation for fresh bagels with over a dozen sweet and savoury combinations of cream cheese and tofu spreads. Although lines are long and often out the door, the staff keeps it moving. This location is a bit cramped for space - and youre pressing your luck if you want to get a table. Their sister location a few blocks away has more seating. WiFi is non-existent so dont plan to park and surf.
Ive been to other locations and the bagels are always delicious. This place, however, has terrible customer service. I came in and there were 3 customers in the whole place. Still, no one took my order so I went to the girl behind the counter. She took my order and had me pay. Then I waited on the side for 15 min while no food ever came. I complained only to find out they were out of the bagel I wanted and really only had 3 kinds. Never coming here again.
Exceptional variety of fresh bagels in the center of a peaceful reidential neighborhood in Queens. Upwards of 20 varieties of fresh toppings and spreads, was handed a sample of strawberry cream cheese as I ordered my weekend breakfast. Bagels are a reasonable $1.25 each, although toppings and sandwiches raise the price quite a bit. Be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes in line on weekend mornings for this bread ambrosia!
Brooklyn Bagels is always a great choice for a bagel, breakfast sandwich or breakfast wrap. Although the line wraps around the door on the average weekend morning, the staff is quick and there are many of them. They also sell a delicious fresh squeezed OJ, which I would definitely recommend.
Bagels are good.Coffee is okay.Line is ridiculous (out of the door for breakfast time)Workers are not very friendly, no thanks or you are welcomes, all speak bengali among each other.Shop is clean but kitchen floor and behind the counter is filthy dirty (used gloves, bagels, oranges and what not).I mentioned to a worker that they had bagels on the floor, he replied: what do you want me to do? I dont care. Not sure how it happened but i posted photos of out of control dirty floor and pic were removed twice.U b the judge when you are there for yourself...
LOVE THEIR BAGELS. Hate their delivery service - takes really long and 40% of the time the order isnt exactly how it should have been. But its so delicious that we still order it every Sunday or pick it up! Brooklyn Bagel, please make the delivery quicker, you wont lose me as a guest but it would be appreciated!!!
Great place to grab fresh bagel and coffee. The bagels are firm and plump. They have SOOOO many choices to pick from for cream cheeses. They also offer breakfast wraps (if you are into that stuff at a bagel shop) The coffee is amazing they also offer fresh squeezed juice. Definitely a cant miss place in Astoria if you find yourself in the area.
Awesome bagels. Particularly the options they have on the chalkboard. I love the LaGuardia and the Kaufmann on an everything bagel toasted. They also offer freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. The line is often very long but service is quick and you can usually find a seat if you wait a few mins.
They have great bagles amazing and numerous types of cream cheese, as well as great Irish oatmeal. However, they changed the way they take and complete your order which has totally slowed things down tremendously. If it went back to the old way of doing business I would rate it 5 stars.
Brooklyn Bagel is a creamy, crunchy delight worth a quick email to your mom about. The crowds, dense and graphic tee-donning, spread evenly and quickly, like whipped cinnamon raisin walnut cream cheese over a twice toasted multigrain bagel. The service is as efficient and effective as perfect plain cream cheese on a mini everything bagel, covered evenly in a mix of garlic chips, salt, sesame, and poppy seeds. The beverage selection is as great as mixed metaphors that run hopelessly away from me.**Also: big breakfast crowds = the coffees always fresh!
Great yummy bagels. Crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. There is a large assortment of toppings. The coffee is delicious. There are other drinks in addition to coffee. Sometimes the lines are really long but it is worth the wait. Prices are reasonable.
The one on Broadway st in Astoria doesn’t take Apple Pay and I was hungry! DO NOT FORGET YOUR WALLET WITH REAL MONEY OR DEBIT CARD OR CREDIT CARD CAUSE YOU GET TURNED AWAY .I wouldn’t know if the food is good because they don’t take APPLE PAY. So I went back because I was hungry they still made the sandwich but also made a second fresh sandwich for free!
A place called Brooklyn Bagel in Queens. I tried the Texas Bagel sandwich (bbq sauce, bacon, egg, cheese) for $7 which was quite filling...you might only be able to finish half. They also have drinks for $1 on customer appreciation day which applies to lemonade, ice tea and some others. Friendly service.

2022-05-10I absolutely love the bagels here. The outside is the perfect amount of crisp while the inside is soft and delicious. I’ve tried a bunch of the bagels & they’re all so good! The Minis are $1.50 and there’s nothing mini about them lol. They have a great selection of cream cheeses. I recently tried the Sriracha bagel which was so yummy I went back just days later to get another one. My husband always gets the salmon with lox cc & raves about it every time.

2022-07-01Love this local spot for not just breakfast but also lunch! My go-to lunch order is the Cooper on an everything bagel. 🥯 It consists of smoked salmon, avocado, red onions, tomatoes, capers, and lemon juice. Healthy and delicious!

2022-01-25Whenever I see an orange juice machine I cannot resist and neither should you. There are 2 lines: one line you order your meal and on a separate line you pay and order your drinks. Their bagels are soft and when you ask them to toast it, theres enough crispness to them without making taste too hard. Typically order an Egg & Cheese toasted on Everything. They butter it and the eggs is well cooked not overcooked with American cheese. For 2 of those it was just under $10.50. They are quick and friendly.

2022-05-30One of my favorite bagel spots in NYC! Not only their bagels are amazing ( the cooper is great) but their breakfast wraps are really good! My go to is the hungry beast! The friendly staff makes it a great experience!

2022-05-03Great service. The staff all made eye contact, asked if I had been helped, and the food was delicious.Tofu cream cheese was some of the best in the city. We always swing through at this location when heading out of the city for really good vegan options.Lactose intolerant approved.

2022-03-03The bagels here are good but don’t do any online pick ups at this store. The older woman who passes out the orders is very aggressive and rude. She will refuse to give you the order even if you show your ID, order number and name from your receipt. I had to get my order from a supervisor. It was so bad another customer offered to buy me a bagel cause she felt bad how I was being treated. I finally was allowed to pick up my order by a supervisor who clearly admitted i was being poorly treated. I felt pretty bad and threw my bagel away because I couldn’t eat it after I was treated so badly. Again stay away from online orders, cause they will treat you bad.
