Beautiful store with a great selection of furniture, lighting, etc.Agnes was so much fun to work with. She showed me various options of furniture as I was looking for dressers and nightstands. I walked out buying a beautiful lamp and stool. Id absolutely go back to her and team, and would highly recommend BK City Furniture.
This was my first major furniture purchase and I was so grateful to have a transaction like this. After shopping online and seeing other showrooms, I went here and was instantly impressed with their inventory and welcoming professionalism. They wanted to get me into a comfortable couch. I ended up buying their first recommendation after I gave them my apartment dimensions and preferences. All of the other pieces and decor were unique, of extremely fine quality, and were moderately priced with a fair markup. I was able to receive a significant discount for the floor model couch, and was delighted after its installation in my apartment within a week of purchase. Please check them out if you want to buy items that will appreciate and last for decades.
Be careful ordering online!! I ordered a desk on sale on Black Friday and they just notified me a week later that they cancelled it per my request. I called and they said they have to put it in the system like that and they’re not able to fulfill the order. They were going to be removing the desk from their website after the fact. The desk is no longer on sale at the other online stores I could have ordered it from. Save yourself the time and headache and order somewhere else.
Bed Quality is Worst so buy nothing from this store
Having lived in Greenpoint for nearly a decade, it’s safe to say that this is the best place in the neighborhood to get new and full-trend furniture. They’ve been here for 33 years. Amazing staff who make it easy to feel at home. Enough said.

Called to inquire about a sofa on a Sunday. Initially they didnt have it on the floor but Agnes called back to say that they have something similar about to be delivered. They agreed to hold the delivery by a few hours for us to be able to see it on site. No one does that nowadays! JB & Agnes were very accommodating to us with measurements, etc. Zoom forward to delivery day & we opted for white glove service. In & out within an hour tops with not a cardboard to discard. Will definitely recommend Brooklyn City Furniture.

After wasting a weekend browsing sofas online, I walked in to BCF and found a great piece right away. There’s no replacement for seeing/trying things out in person - we’re lucky to have these nice folks in Greenpoint!I’d recommend the playground sofa if you’re tight on space and host visitors occasionally.
Buying our sofa in Brooklyn City Furniture was the best decision. We wasted a lot of time searching online and found the best quality, prices, and customer service around the corner. Nothing like dealing face to face with professionals like Agnes and John Byron. Highly recommended (at least go and take a look, you wont regret it).
The sofa brand accepted the order but then couldnt fulfill it - BCF managed to find the exact sofa wed ordered in another warehouse and get it to us. One of the arms was not right when it arrived and the team took it away, fixed it and then came back the next day to finish the job.A really grate group of problem solvers who deliver an excellent product!
Wonderful local Brooklyn furniture store. They have awesome and unique pieces. Staff/owner were extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery was a breeze with white glove assembly. Purchased a Gus Modern couch from the store recently. We were able to see the model remotely over a video call which was super helpful and all-in delivery time from the warehouse was less than 2 weeks. Highly recommend if you’re in the market for the brands that they carry - for the couches we were considering, they had the best pricing in the area.

The team at City Furniture made the whole process a smooth one, even in the age of COVID. Above and beyond service and communication from these folks! When we moved to the neighborhood in 2012, we got a great couch from Sergio, so when we needed another this year, it was obvious where to go. Not only was the price better than other deals wed seen online, the service from JB was excellent. Delivery was a breeze and the guys were so friendly and helpful! The Grand D.E.L Sofa is amazing, and the only one weve ever seen that provides a queen-size bed in a form factor that fits so well in our room.

My experience with Brooklyn City Furniture actually blew my mind (in the best way). After finding a sofa that fulfilled all my hopes and dreams, retailer after retailer told me it was being discontinued, and IF they could get it for me, it could be months. I was moving and would be couchless. I didn’t have months. JB at Brooklyn City Furniture had a floor model of the sofa and it was in mint condition. He sent me photos and even offered to FaceTime to let me see it. I purchased the sofa and agreed upon a delivery date. After reviewing the options for getting it into my building we were unsure if the sofa would fit into the little elevator or if the couch would have to be maneuvered up six flights of stairs. JB actually drove out to see for himself clear over to the upper west side. He took measurements and talked to the doorman and assured me he could make the elevator work (no one believed it would). On the day of move in, still filled with doubt, I watched JB get the perfectly wrapped sofa into my building elevator with a clearance of just millimeters, and then flawlessly unpacked and placed into my apartment.I would buy anything I could from this company at this point due to the care and service they provided. And I would recommend them to anyone and everyone I know.

JB and his wife personally delivered our two Gus Cabot Leather couches few days ago to our new home in Delaware. JB made sure everything was perfectly set up. I bought the Gus Modern Cabot leather sofa from City Furniture. The sofa is fantastic. Love it. I bought it online without driving into Brooklyn to look at it first. I was very concerned about the color or potential damage as it was a floor model. JB, the owner was extremely helpful in emailing pictures and also was very flexible in delivering the sofa on a day I was off down here in Point Pleasant, NJ. I highly recommend.

I passed by this really quite low key shop in my neighborhood and decided to just give it a try and see their sofas. Very competent advice and admission they did not have the perfect sofa I was looking for - but then might get in a weeks time. I saw the pictures, made a reimbursable down payment - and then everything worked out just perfect. In the end I decided not to take it in the color I had reserved it, which was not a problem to change, and the sofa has just been delivered two hours ago and looks great. I surely recommend this shop!

Totally Great from start to finish! JB is knowledgeable about furniture and helped me pick the right pieces. He even came to my house to make sure he could get it up our tricky stairs. Service was excellent, friendly and never rushed. Delivery day arrived and JB and his assistant did everything and more to get the pieces in, and removed our old large sectional ... not a scuff or scratch anywhere. Great store with a large variety of modern pieces, especially for smaller Bklyn apts and homes. I recommend JB and City Furniture without reservation.

2022-06-28On May 12th my daughter and I walked into Brooklyn City Furniture and not only fell in love with everything that was displayed, but also Agnes who was just amazing! I live in Colorado and we were closing on a condo for our daughter the next day and wanted to get it furnished ASAP. As you know, timeline for furniture purchase is very long, but Agnes worked with us and even held our furniture delivery for a few days so we could finish some painting before the furniture was delivered! We had our furniture delivered (white glove service!) by June 10th! We purchased a beautiful couch, bar stools, dining table and chairs. We have been so happy with the purchase and Agnes customer service every step of the way. Thank you Brooklyn City Furniture!On a side note: I loved the service and furniture so much, I ended up purchasing a coffee table for my office in Denver , which is beautiful also!

2020-07-22John was so patient and answered all of my questions about the Gus modern couches. When it came time to order he helped me with measurements and suggesting pieces that would fit my space. The Gus modern couch is so comfortable and the pieces are fun because you can rearrange them and order different colors. Also they shipped to me in less than a month when other retailers take 8-10 weeks. Brooklyn City Furniture is a great store. I highly recommend using them.

2021-09-13John came to our home to connect a sofa bought in a different city but of a brand he carries. He and his cohort figured out a very difficult connection issue and did a superb job. They were extremely considerate and certainly helpful. I will definitely frequent their store now that we live here, knowing that the service will be impeccable.

I was looking to buy a couch for a finished basement in a house upstate, and the team there worked closely with me -- including indulging me on multiple visits to the store -- to pick the right one. It was a big investment, but I always felt that I was in good hands with them.
