Brooklyn Harvest Market in other cities:
I went to place a catering order recently and was very impressed by their food. The presentation is professional and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. I also ordered a coffee service and they sent it over in beautiful urns with all the fixings. Very elegant and professional. The delivery was on time and free!
Very inconsistent. Only shop here lately because of the pandemic and it’s hard to get fresh direct/Whole Foods. Cashiers are a toss up. Sometimes nice but mostly just straight up Rude. The last one completely ignored me when I said hello and literally chucked everything in the bag right in front of me. Businesses are struggling to stay afloat and you think it’s ok to treat customers poorly? Ridiculous and disrespectful.
I moved nearby a few weeks ago, and Ive been very pleased with having this store close by. They have a good selection of foods, both the fancier organic stuff and the more basic food items, as well . A couple times I have been unable to find an item and employees have been glad to take me to it. I lived Friendly, efficient cashiers as well. I also havent found the prices to be outrageous, either -- my boyfriend and I are usually surprised by how low our total is. It never seems to be super busy either (I was scared after previous experiences Ive had at Trader Joes in Manhattan & Brooklyn.)
I love this supermarket. They have great produce, good prices and friendly staff. They also have a very good fresh pickles & olive bar, and you can find an inexpensive EVOO you can pour yourself in a bottle for $11.99 the first time and $9.99 for any refills. It’s tasty, Greek olive oil. Great beer assortment for good prices. They also that all sorts of deals and it’s my go-to place for Talenti ice cream, since you can often find it 3 for $10 and you can’t beat that. And don’t think they’ll give you discount on old ice cream. I wish was that they had better bread. Support this local business. GO!
What makes this super market stand out in the neighborhood is their wide selection of prepared foods from various departments. Produce looks pretty good, though not the biggest selection of local or organic foods (i guess whole foods down the street has got that covered). Prices pretty decent for conventional grocery food.
Cant understand all the raves. The staff is nice, certainly, but they only offer plastic bags (really?), they are lacking in their selection of organic fruits and veggies (especially if you are getting fruit cups or veggie platters), and they have a cramped layout that means weirdly snaking lines at the cash registers when its busy. For me this is always a second (or third) choice in the area.
Great all in one place. You can get everything here except car tires. They have a good produce section and their bakery is filled with sweets that will force you to work out. They have sushi section as well. Make sure to sign up for rewards program, thats will get you discounts at the check out aisle.
I come here when Im too lazy to take the walk elsewhere. They have a nice variety and the employees are nicer there than other health food stores in the area. However there have been a few times where I would have to return meat because it was either expired and I didnt notice this OR it wasnt expired but it was still smelly and slimey. Their veggie produce section is great though. Please stock up on some non dairy whipped creams! :)
Great little Grocery Market, with fair prices for the area and a nice selection of pre-made Dinner/Lunch dishes. Olive Oil station and fresh made peanut butter station. Their meat Dept also has some great deals on pre-prepped items such as various marinated chicken options, turkey/chicken patties, beef and pork patties and more for a very low prices. Also they often have good Avocado deals.
Truly great grocery store. They cater to what their customers want with everything from organic produce and obscure tropical fruit to craft beer and gluten free waffles. Cheapest Kombucha prices in NYC!! I hope the new Whole Foods doesnt overpower them, because they do things right.
Been going here since it opened and its subpar at best. Everything we buy is on the verge of expiration. Some items on the shelf are already expired so be careful. Weve had meat with a few days left on the sell by date smell horrible, so bad they agreed to exchange them. The produce is hit or miss. Unacceptable for the premium prices charged here. It was much better when it first opened but as soon as Tops closed and Harvest didnt have competition it went completely downhill.
Hello all new people new eye balls and new beeeeeeeeeeeeeeez thanks for reading my post okay nice place to shop for fresh fruits and varuous items daily new and fare prices depends in you food needd nude huge store great staff are on point I recommend to every one welcome to the friendly store clean to do if you are nice and hungry and want a fair price come on down so untill then peace
Well Ill admit it- I never thought Id be reviewing a grocery store because well lets be honest that is what Harvest Market is BUT it really is an amazing experience. Cheese samples, occasional juice samples, and now 2 different visits I have had a manager randomly come up to me, introduce himself and tell me If there is anything I cant find that I want them to have hed be glad to order it for the future! Whaaatt! I have friends that are now going out of their way to go here for groceries!
Brooklyn Harvest is very spacious and easy to shop around. What I enjoy shopping at the store is their collection of organic food, produce and selection of candies. I would give a better grade if they had a better selection of beverages.Pro- Service is good, variety of organic products they have my #Tearrific ice creamCon- pricey in meals, prepared food is not my favorite part
Brooklyn Harvest Market is a unique Grocery Store. They Have a very good pizza place inside the store. They Have a very good gourmet style deli there. They have a very good bakery section there. The people are very friendly and helpful there. They let you sample food while you shop there. The prices are pretty good there.
I boutg a thing that may be cheaper that the store but have to walk around a lot to get itThe big surfaces are no longer needed with the use of the internet you can make miracles sales with no space for pseudo publicity the thing is that even with a quick guess i can tell the owners would rather watch it bur to the ground than strugle to keep the ship afloat

2022-05-25The name makes you think of a kind of upscale farm shop, but apparently there arent many farms in Brooklyn, so they get most of their wares in packaging. There was a good selection, so we were able to buy the food we required.

2021-09-29This place was always pricey, but decent and convenient if you live on the water. Ever since Covid though it has gone down hill. Most of the produce is 1-day from going bad (or already moldy), deli selection is terrible and tastes very processed / chemically, removed the olive bar, and seems like a lot of items havent been restocked in awhile. Bought a granny cart and will be going to Whole Foods from now on.

2021-02-17The market is clean with good variety, similarly priced to Whole Foods but without the crazy line. The manager is really nice, and would go out of his way to be kind to my toddler. Having such nice staff makes grocery shopping with small children less stressful.

2021-08-19This place is really, really expensive. Prepacked 3 corn on the cobs is like 3.99. Theyre 25c each at other markets and dont come pre packaged. Almost all their produce is prepackaged. Really environmentally irresponsible. The ice cream is without fail always freezer burned as well. I walk to Whole Foods now instead.

2021-08-30Bring back Boars Head, everything from Dietz and Watson tastes so chemically. And who calls American Cheese, Yellow Loaf...And CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS, Ive been going there for years now, and every single time theres at least something that doesnt scan to the correct price thats listed on the shelf. And lastly, is there a reason why the egg section cant list any prices?

2021-03-01Well Stocked and Well Maintained. I moved here a few months ago and we ALWAYS stop by for some snacks or last minute dinner items. Kudos to the staff for always accommodating and treating their customers well 👏Makes sure to bring your own bags and be prepared to wait on a line for the cashier during peak hours. Also this place has fresh brewed coffee and a full lunch bar if you’re looking for ready make food or a last minute picnic.

2022-03-23Same quality as foodking (same company), but with a markup. Whole foods is price competitive with this location, which is odd. Is at a convenient location for those living closer to the river.

2022-04-07Decent selection, terrible prices, and theyve got mice in the store that eat holes in the bread so make sure you check before you leave!

2022-02-06I was looking forward to my chicken parmesan sandwich from the deli....until they popped the chicken in the microwave 😒 .....it was like chewing on plastic 2/6 1pm
