I love to shop for African food here. Feels like being at Oyingbo market in Lagos.
I use to love coming here but after going 2 days ago I will not be returning no time soon. They stuff overall is way too pricey. So I will be looking elsewhere.

The variety and freshness of the food from various merchants and the food prices along with great fresh fish market for me.....superb. Here theres such rich collection of Caribbean and African foods....love this place!

I was preparing to cook for a party when I stumbled upon the Brooklyn Terminal Market. To my surprise, this place was a hidden gem. All of the fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood I needed was found there. They also have a nice selection of fresh herbs, plants & trees for all of your gardening needs

If youre Caribbean or African and you need to find products from home.... This is your go to place. They close at 6pm though the website says different. Both stores are awesome and have wonderful staff members for the most part.

Awesome better prices on fish and west Indian items from the islands any and everything, and great price on box or single fruits from the wholesale places in the market. Save your money go over to the terminal.
I found proper sweet potatoes at a store here. It is a proper market, so do not expect fancy stalls. If youre looking for ethnic foods though, there are two stores in the market that will cater to you. There are also wholesale stores that sell fruits and flowers, but cant speak for those stores because I havent been in them.
They prices are higher for some items.

Brooklyn terminal market is the best place to shop for African delicacies. The marketers are Very friendly and polite. I bought palm oil l, goat 🐐 meat e.t.c even sagar cane. I felt like buying the whole market 😆😆😆. I wish every African exist. I will enjoyed my meals yesterday thanks to Brooklyn terminal market merchants associate. You are the best.
Went looking for mangos couldnt find the ones we wanted but a lot of west indian stuff to buy plus the have a plant nursery there fish market meat market
I couldnt believe they sold Accassan/AK100 milkshake drink. It was so thick and delicious. Also I love the cashiers they were very friendly and helpful.
Pre plan your trk route .alot of no trk streets ..say no to cheap reefer freight towards ny markets.....
Little bit Chaotic, since its a market people lack patience get there before 2pm. There is basically 3 actually whole vendors & the West Indian market-nothing is really wholesale in the West Indian maeket just a bit cheaper retail price.Check your goods and return anything you not happy with.
If youre going for the traditional cuisine,then that is your spot to shop but the employees attitude is not comforting.

Never ever disappointed when I go to the terminal market.There are produce and meat wholesalers that operate throughout the year. You will be hard pressed to find cheaper prices even in the BJs next door. There are also plant nurseries that double as seasonal decoration wholesalers.For Easter, lilies and garden plants are the main draw. Garden plants continue to dominate the summer. If you happen to find yourself here on a summer day you may just find your local landscaper stocking up.As fall begins, pumpkins, scarecrows and other spooky decorations move in. No place sells either cheaper. This year I purchased two pumpkins that weighed in excess of 30 lbs each for under 20 dollars at A. Viscontis.Christmas is by far the best of all seasons to make a visit. Not only are the nurseries stocked with trees but some of the grocers stock them as well. In effect it turns the terminal into a massive Christmas tree lot. The smell almost takes you the mountains and the experience is uniquely New York.While getting your tree you can also step into many of the nursery shops and get everything you need to trim your tree and decorate the rest of your home. From hand painted pinecones to those illuminated plastic figurines that are ubiquitous in outdoor displays over in Bensonhurst.So many fond memories of this place and compliments received from goods Ive bought here. A definite must visit if you love Christmas and live in Brooklyn.

2021-12-06Christmas tree 5feet and up are $80+ this year all over NYC. I google where to buy an affordable Christmas tree and was directed to Terminal Market. I could have not made a better choice. Trees were healthier and much more affordable. They have a variety of beautiful Christmas decorations as well. We ended up spending double of what we spent on the tree on beautiful decorations for our tree. It was worth the trip. For the price of a healthy 7feet+ tree elsewhere, we got the most amazing Christmas tree at home this year. The three was only $50! And we did invest $115 on decorations. But look how amazing it’s. Definitely the most beautiful tree I ever built in my life. They have a few trees decorated inside so you can borrow some idea. I’m sure that this will always be my to go place for every Christmas from now on. Plus the service is amazing! Caring, helpful and friendly.

2022-07-09Havent been there in years!Stop by there did a little shopping. The fish was a bit pricey, Snapper was $11.99 a pound, all the fish was expensive! 😞 I purchased a big, big, big Watermelon.

2022-05-13Parking nightmare. Good place to get an ok deal on some items. Best deals here are in bulk buys. Some places set up for retail type shopping, other places not so much. Top spot for flowers, hanging pots, bushes and trees. Must shout out to Ba Tempte, they sell retail and if its in stock none fresher anywhere.
