I came here earlier this summer needing to fill a couple a completely empty gardens in front out our home. Jen was SO helpful and is extremely knowledgeable. She walked around the nursury with us and helped us pick an appropriate number of plants for the space, and made sure that their light requirements were correct for the space we had. Eveyone who has been to our house since then loves the garden and comments about how great it looks. I will me a lifelong customer at Brookside!
Staff was awkward and unwelcoming. Bummer such a beautiful place.
Bizarre experience at Brook Side. We hired Jesse Marco to come to our home to put together a landscaping plan. We had a very nice conversation with him and he told us the he would come back to us in 2 weeks with a plan and next steps. We never heard back from him. After 3 weeks we called the store several times and left a message for him to return the call, which he never did. Had he called, been direct, and said that he could not handle the project, we have understood. But the fact that he just ignored us and didnt return calls was unprofessional and disrespectful. It set us back several weeks and we obviously wont be going back to Brookside.
Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff. A bit pricier than other venues, but the quality and selections are worth it.
An amazing and super knowledgable team. They really take the time to understand your unique needs and truly care about the end results. Im repeatedly impressed with how hard they work to keep the customer happy.

Disappointed that customers and some employees are not wearing masks. Very crowded today and it felt awkward that people were not maintaining a social distance.

2021-07-21I went a couple weeks ago and they had such an amazing expansive herb section I just wanted to shout for Joy. Unfortunately I went somewhere else a couple weeks earlier and spent most of my garden budget so I could only buy a few things. The had really good pricing and Deals. The plants were health and big. The employees were all really nice and friendly. I didnt look at a lot of the other plans cuz we didnt have enough time but if the herb section is anything to go by they are as awesome as ever.

2021-09-18Large variety, some hard to find trees and perennial plants. Way way way too expensive. They are not a member of the Better Business Bureau and they are selective on which trees they will guarantee, not all trees and shrubs are guaranteed to grow. Buyer beware! I bought an expensive fig tree and followed all their planting instructions. The tree was dead the following late spring, I didnt ask for a cash refund. All I wanted was the tree be replaced with the exact same kind of tree. They refused by saying that the particular tree (fig) is not guaranteed. I asked them to show me a sign that points out which plants are guaranteed and which ones are not,,,, They dont have any such signs hanging. H-m-m-m, keeping their good customers informed is apparently of no concern to them. So, dont expect fair play. Perhaps that is why they are not members of the BBB, THEY DONT. WANT TO BE HELP ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL

2020-07-11Brookside has a terrific selection of plants, annuals, perennials and everything else. Their plants are well cared for and of high quality. The staff is very helpful and knows their stuff. Stop by soon. They have everything you want and everything you want that you didnt know you needed.

2020-02-12I had an excellent experience with Brookside Nursery. I worked with them to design a back patio off my porch, with a retaining wall and fire pit. Jesse was very professional and listen to what I wanted and offered different ideas of how they could deliver an awesome outdoor living space. Jesse gave me a time period when he thought they could start and how long it would take and he was spot on! I would highly recommend this company.

2020-02-11We had a great experience with Jesse and Brookside. They designed and constructed a raised patio and fire pit in our back yard and we continue to work with them on our landscaping around our home. They have done a fantastic job. A couple of our friends have also used them with great success...

2020-05-20Very helpful women outside and in. Not a lot of selection maybe due to cool April? First timer and with several hundred dollars of plants in my wagon ( which I did buy) see a homemade sign at the register that says “Don’t trust the government” signed Ian (owner). I asked the young woman what it meant. Don’t trust Trump? Don’t trust Cuomo? Just a “ You’d have to ask Ian” reply. Again, all staff was helpful and personable. Personally, I prepare my plants without politics thrown in

2020-10-06Amazing!! I went in for 1 plant that I had been searching for and left with so many tips and cute accessories for my indoor plants!! They took their time answering all my questions and helped!! I went to 3 nurseries yesterday and didnt get any help! Thankful I found this place!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

2019-11-11Worst Landscapers ever. Seven of nine junipers they installed died. After repeated phone calls they sent someone who came and said that is problem they would address. Despite repeated follow-up calls they never made good. We also paid them for a lot of hydro-seeding but the results were mediocre. Avoid Brookside like the plague!
