AVOID Brookville animal hospital, as dr krasnoff hides information, cares only about money and convenience and was 100% responsible for the death of my dog. (NYS vet lic board and investigators were involved in my case).If you care about your pets well-being, avoid Brookville Animal Hospital.
Called to get some information on my dog. Lady who answered the phone was super helpful and cheery. Been here a couple of times and the vets are pretty nice and efficient. They do a great job. Waiting time is never very long.
We had a new patient appointment this afternoon and when we showed up to the appointment (ON TIME), the receptionist informed us that Dr Krasnoff left for the day! He had no emergency; just didn’t stay for our appointment! As if that was not bad enough, the receptionist didn’t even think to call us before we drove over for the appointment.I never heard of such a thing! And we were a new patient to the office.Clearly we would never return there.
Dr. Krasnoff is a great vet. I trust his judgement 100 %. He is smart , and compassionate to our pets, 3 dogs and a bird , and previous pets that had crossed the Rainbow Bridge.We travel to the office from Smithtown to Glen Head, the distance is secondary to the quality of Veterinary care that he provides. He is a treasure of a Vet.Office staff and Assistants are also wonderful.Thus, i highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Krasnoff at the Brookville Animal Hospital , Glen Head, N.Y
Our Little Girl passed away and we had to drop her off there on Christmas Day for storage. Shannon and Caroline along with the other staff were extremely compassionate and comforting. Bless them and their giving hearts. If I could put in 10 stars, I would.
I hate to post this, but, it has to be said.Last Thursday July 2, 2020 I had an appointment. It was a curbside appointment( pet parents werent allowed inside). When I arrived, they were a bit behind and didnt express that upfront when I called to let them know I had arrived. A young lady came to the car I was in and asked me some questions and then asked for my card for payment without explaining what would be done, etc. Since, I was there already, I proceeded with the appointment. I told her I did not want to leave my card and that I was going to the bank to withdraw money to pay when services were rendered. She told me that the payment had to be upfront and the appointment would only take a few minutes and that I had to wait in the car. Unfortunately, my driver had to go, so she wrote down my card info. I wasnt sure how long a few minutes was going to be and it was too hot to wait outside, so I cruised inside CVS next door without purchasing anything.The next morning I woke up to a text from my bank telling me they declined a $1200 transaction to NIKE.COM. I called my bank and logged into my account. Not only did this person try to charge that to my account, but also had charged IHOP to my account worth $54.32 in Ronkonkoma. I dont know anyone that lives out there. I spoke with management at IHOP and received the information I needed in regards to whom picked up food since it was an online purchase. I said all this to say, I know it was that young lady. I hadnt used my card for any in store or online purchases since Covid started because I am leery about security. I usually pay in cash, but that day I was short on cash. I was going to press charges and have a full investigation, but Ill let the Universe decide on what to do with that young lady. It was my mistake to let her write down my info, but, I thought I was dealing with professional people.I am not sure how this place runs aside from the curbside part, but they need to practice better protocols, especially when doing curbside.
If you really love your pet, do yourself a favor and avoid this place by all costs. Dr Krasnoff, and Dr Plunkett, miserably failed to recognize, address, and treat a severe allergic reaction, caused by the rabies and distemper vaccine administered to my little pet. As a result of their negligence and incompetence, my poor and innocent dog passed away, after a week of suffering. These two so-called doctors just killed him, and had no clue what to do to save him.
Extremely professional, kind, and patient staff. After a bad experience with another veterinarian, I was referred here by a neighbor. I would recommend anyone to being their pets here.
Terrible vet. Treats animals horribly. Never has a smile on his face. There are 10x better vets with better knowledge and personality out there. Avoid this headache.

2022-02-13My cat recently passed which was a devastating experience for me and my family. Ive been coming here for 22 years and all I can say is they are like family. This was the fourth pet Ive had to bring here (3 dogs 1 cat) and each and every time they participated in my sorrow, conveyed compassion and revitalized my spirits ❤. My family and I consider them family.

2021-11-24Best vet in the area!!!! All of the doctors are very attentive and gentle with my puppy. I never had any issues here. My puppy loves Dr krasnoff and Dr rosenbaum, they are the best.

2019-05-26Dr. Jeffery Krasnoff cared for our giant goldendoddle, Maggie, from February, 2004 when she was 8 weeks old. He helped us welcome her into our family, was responsible for her amazingly good health for more than 15 years (she outlived 7 siblings in her litter) and allowed her a peaceful passing in our home this past Monday. We are thankful for all the years of Dr. Krasnoffs knowledge and expertise and are forever grateful for the way he understood how much we loved Maggie and treated her as if she were his own family. Our deepest thanks to Dr. Krasnoff and his team.

2018-12-07Although I hope to never see Dr. Krasnoff again in a professional setting, this is the only place we would ever bring Lola. Kind, courteous, he even offered to come by the house when we were obsessively worrying about the doggo post-op. The pet store next door, named literally, is also wonderful. Pic of sad, but healthy recovering doggo included.

2020-11-21We have taken both of my dogs here to be put to sleep here and have had a compassionate experience. Dr. Rosenbaum was so kind and gentle to my dog during the process. He gave him very calming pets, which were very appreciated by me and my family. During a painful time like the end of life for your beloved furry family member this is the empathy and respect you need.

2019-04-20I have been going to Brookville Animal Hospital since I got my very first dog as a little girl. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else! I rescue now and they treat every one of my dogs the same, with care and compassion. Dr. Krasnoff is an exceptional Veterinarian. He has always took the best care of my fur babies and never steered me wrong in making decisions for them. He knows his stuff. He is also understanding and empathetic during those difficult times. Dr. Webb is outstanding as well. She is kind, caring, proficient and patient. Thank goodness for her on those Sunday minor emergencies. The staff is excellent. They are highly trained, caring and helpful. Definitely Recommend Brookville Animal Hospital!!

2020-07-20I understand being a vet is a buisness first its the lively hood of the owner and there staff so I put that part aside and judge by the care given. I brought my dog who was sick. Dr kransnoff figured out the problem n did surgery within an hour or so. She lived thanks to him and his staff. Whenever I brought her back for checkups her tail wags n she runs in. They have cared for all be of my kids(🐶) I know I could go elsewhere n pay cheaper but I want the best care for them so I use Brookville animal

2020-05-08I called ahead of time to make the vet aware of the fact that my dog was in an emergency situation. Upon arrival I was told to call and make the staff aware, I had arrived. The staff came in and out several times, without paying ANY ATTENTION to us, taking others before us. When it was finally my dogs turn..vet came out to say she’s not going to make it..Do you want them to dispose of the body..and if so..do we have a credit card to cover the almost $1,000 bill..I don’t care what anyone says..this was an ugly situation and an ugly veterinarian.

2018-03-13I worked at Brookville Animal Hospital for about 10yrs. Then I had my children, and dedicated all of my time to them. I still recommend this hospital to anyone who is looking for true, honest, quality care. The doctors are amazing, and the service you will recieve, will definitely be a pleasant surprise! Everyone was such a pleasure to work with! Both the staff and doctors, truly care about your pet, or wildlife, that they are treating. They also are very fair with their prices, and will always give you little tips that you can do yourself at home, to make the treatment cheaper. I cannot rave more about the hospital, and the staff/doctors that run it!! I miss it everyday! If youre looking for a new animal hospital, different from all the rest, especially in quality and care...Brookville Animal Hospital is the way to go!
