We had Bruce Fence install a fence on the south side of our yard this month. The work crew headed by Howard was very professional, courteous and very customer-oriented. They were prompt and worked diligently until the job was completed. Jeff who came to do the estimate was also very helpful and professional as was Mellissa in the office I spoke with several times. We are so satisfied with the quality of their work and craftsmanship they are coming back to give us an estimate for a new fence on the north side of our yard. They came to us highly recommended from a friend and they lived up to their great reputation.

From start to finish, Bruce Fence Company was everything that a contractor should be. Melissa in the office took the time to work through different options for building a fence at a home we recently purchased, and offered creative solutions to work within our budget.When Jeff came to the house to assess the land and provide an estimate, he was on-time, friendly, professional, and answered all of my questions. He emailed the quote promptly, then called me to go through the contract line by line to make sure I understood everything.The crew came on time, worked through blisteringly cold temperatures and never complained, and the fence looks great.No, I am not a bot or someone being paid to write an ad. I am just a person who had a really great experience with this company; and presently, am having a TERRIBLE experience with another contractor. So I’m trying to focus on the positives and let people out there know that if they need a fence, this company and everyone in it is great.Buying a home is stressful enough - hiring contractors shouldn’t add to the stress, and when we worked with Bruce, they made the process so easy. I also almost never take the time to write reviews, but these guys have earned it!

I was given the name Bruce Fence by the company Teakwood. What a mistake. They never finished the fence though they promised to return. The owner did not return my calls and there are literally so many issues with the fence they are too numerous to list here. In a world where businesses run on reviews I am hoping that mine will save someone from making the same mistake and go somewhere else.

Bruce was one of the several companies that I contacted for quotes for a large, vinyl, fence project. I have seen their fencing along the rail-trail, and many properties around the capital region, and it always looks nice. They came in as the lowest bidder by a bit, and completed the job on-time and roughly on-budget. The crew was an absolutely pleasure to work with, and they did an excellent job. We get many compliments on our fence. Any of the soil that they removed from the holes was spread out along the fence, so that its barely noticeable. Were going to mulch around the fence anyways, so that worked out well for us. Went over the locations of our underground electrical cable, and they dug the first foot by hand (I have caution tape buried above the cable, 6 below grade level) to make sure that they werent going to hit it.

Replaced poor quality round posts twice that kept rotting. Company kept telling me the problem was my property -- I live on sand. Other fences in my neighborhood didnt fall down the way the posts Bruce Fence installed did. Or they said they didnt know what was causing the problem, when it was clear that it was the quality of the posts. And I was charged a lot of money each time the posts were replaced! Would not recommend or use them again.

Excellent experience. Communication was outstanding. The individuals who installed the fence were courteous and listened to what my needs were. Continuously asked if there was anything else they needed to do and if I was happy. Melissa in sales was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Hired Bruce Fence to install a pool fence. Installers made several mistakes, latches installed on wrong side of gate, electrical wire damaged after location was pointed, dumped debris from post hole digging on my property, two sections of fence were crooked. Discussed these issues with the owner, he was rude, offensive and arrogant, he said the debris was there prior to fence installation. Debris was finally picked up but other problems were never corrected after I made full payment. Female who answered the phone to discuss issues was also rude and combative. Worst contracting experience I have ever been involved with. Avoid this looser at all costs.

We couldnt be happier with Bruce Fence Company. We and our dog love our new fence. It does what it was intended to do (keep our dog inside the yard), and its beauty and strength are assets to our property. Everyone at Bruce Fence is a pleasure to work with -- definitely 5 stars!
