Even in very busy times the crew maintain food quality, tho if youre not used to it, the manager can be a bit short and some of the employees can be understandably cranky. Would appreciate it if the manager cut them just a bit more slack as he was adamant that they dont switch the doordash app to say the place is busy even though there was an unexpected busload of probably 20-25 volleyball players that pulled thru.
Dining room still closed, or not? Half the dining room had tables without signs,while the front seating area was emptied of tables
The Delmar Brueggers is the best one around. There is a spacious dining room, which includes a sitting area w/arm chairs. It is always clean and everyone working there is friendly. And most importantly, the bagels are fresh and delicious!
Everyone seemed pretty rude. When I asked if I could sit inside to eat the girl at the counter just stared at me and said “uh, no” , there weren’t any visible signs. The only sign was for the restroom being closed.I understand there is short staffing and I’m sure changes have been made for this but, not the most inviting place unfortunately.
Mothers Day, 8:30am, no everything, egg or onion bagels. Plain bagels were not properly proofed and looked like frisbees. Icing on the cake was that they had less than a dozen plain left. The least they could have done was let people know and not waste 20 mins in line. How are you not prepared for a holiday where people commonly do brunch? Especially given things are starting to open back up after a year of lockdown. I feel bad for the employees because management/ownership is obviously either not experienced or not capable. Used to get lured into Brueggers when SEFCU had their ATMs in store and thought they were pretty good. Wont be back again.
Overall their bagels are average. They’re not great, but they’re not bad. Everything bagel was relatively soft and pretty decent, same for jalapeño bagel. I liked that they put pieces of jalapeño on top, could have used more but good overall. Cinnamon raisin bagel was too hard on the top and bottom. The bottom basically needed to be cut off. Here’s a tip bruegers ... if you add sugar to the dough, it’s going to burn more easily. Turn down the oven when baking cinnamon raisin.Price chopper was significantly better before they started selling only in wrapped packs of 6 (COVID) and much cheaper $3.99 for 6 vs 3.99 for 3. I probably won’t be back to Bruggers, again, not because their terrible but just because I can get the same or better for less within 5min drive.

Enjoyed their smoke salmon bagel sandwich with the works. A few too many capers but very tasty. The dark roast coffee is excellent. The employees are friendly & welcoming. I ate there and found the room temperature to be a tad cold.
Average, run of the mill bagels and service. Nothing exceptional here... Lines are long and slow. Management skills are lacking customer service skills are bottom of the barrel. Ordered ahead of time and they didnt even start the order untill I got there.. because they were busy... SMH. No wonder they are going out of business left and right.
Just had the worst experience ever! We typically dont go to Brueggers because as much as we like the food... the coffee is always awful. We were in the mood for some breakfast sandwiches so we dealt with the horrible coffee today. My bagel is fine, but they left out the egg on my husbands pastrami egg and Swiss sandwich. The girl who made my sandwich was obviously pissed when I asked her to please take off the capers. She was rude after that. The cashier badgered us to ring us up even when we continued to tell her we were still ordered. She was extremely nasty. She then gave us two cups with ice over flowing out of them, poured a little coffee in them, and called it iced coffee. Im so upset about how rude the staff was, but also that the place is expensive... and they left out parts of our order!
They made my farmhouse bagel with jalapeño instead of the peppercorn cream cheese it was supposed to have on it, they were nice enough to remake it for me... on the wrong bagel with plain cream cheese this time
When I order a plain bagel with plain cream cheese I don’t want to bite into it and taste strawberry. Take another bite and i’m getting everything crumbs.. takes 2 seconds to wipe off your knife?

The breakfast bagel was fine, and the service was quick. But the coffee was lukewarm, the counter, the tables and the floor were filthy. The counter with cookies and other treats by the cash register looked like it hadnt been wiped clean in a while, or was wiped with a greasy cloth. I looked for a clean table and had to settle for one that had some liquid caked on the tabletop together with food materials which were also on the chairs--and that was the best table I could find. And while eating, I had that litter strewn floor in my sight. It should be added that the place was not busy at all during my visit, so there was no excuse for the place not being cleaned. VERY disappointing to see this place fall so far.
What a joke this place is. We ordered some bagels and a box of joe for a party. I arrived a good half hour after scheduled pick up time just to be sure and nothing was ready and all the bagels we ordered were out. As I started to get upset all of the staff rolled their eyes. I can canceled the order.

I really like bagels and would go here more BUT the people who make the bagels have no idea how to work at a pace other than slow motion.Slow serving even when the line is out the door. The line is that long because they are snails back there.It doesnt take 2 minutes to put a new glove on man. Cmon.
The staff here are rude and not helpful. I called needing a catering order last minute which is just putting bagels and coffee in a box and the lady taking the call refused to take the order over the phone and instructed me to order online which could take 3 hours to fulfill. I called the store on 900 central ave and they were very happy and willing to take my order and had it ready in 15 mins.
Went to this Brueggers earlier today only to find that the majority of their bagel racks were empty - only about 2 or 3 actually had any bagels left in them. The line was fairly long - long enough that it looked like they would be out of bagels completely within the next 10-15 minutes. The people in front of us mentioned that this Brueggers had been dry for a couple months. Id agree seeing as at peak hours it can get extremely slow and at non-peak hours it can still be slow in addition to having a mediocre selection of remnants left.
We arrived around 10am to find the only bagels available were salt garlic and cinnamon raisin. The next batch would not be ready for 20 minutes. Speaking with other customers this is a normal occurence for the store.
Pretty much just chewy bread, doesnt really taste like a bagel. Plus no egg everything? How do you not have the most popular bagel?
Staff was very slow and unenthusiastic. It took at least 5 minutes for whoever was in charge to get someone to work the register. I waited for a while even though my order was already done. The young gentleman with glasses was nice but everyone else looked miserable and clueless. The food was good which is where the stars come from.
Sunday Morning 6/11/17 at 9:20 am: Very poorly organized, few bagel selections, out of several types of coffee, staff appeared to be harried and snippy with each other and even with a few customers. Telling customers were short staffed (seems inappropriate). Usually they are better, I assume new staffing...?

Very few bagels available most of what was there was overly done behind the counter and the coffee area was quite messy and they didnt have any splenda I asked the counter help they said they dont have any. Ive been to this brueggers before and several others I feel things have gone downhill quite a bit I know they have closed some of there stores maybe they are going out of business.
Fantastic experience at Brueggers. First time going there and I meet two very nice faces, I believe their names were Tara and Courtney. They helped me decided through all the amazing options. Just wanna say thanks and keep up the good work.
Its been a while since I was last at this place, but for moving out of Delmar and coming to visit, I have to say it was very clean & welcoming. I had a breakfast sandwich with my husband & a coffee. Both were delicious
Great bagels and iced coffee. You can either win or lose on the tea. DO NOT SIT IN AND EAT (especially where the booths are). So many fruit flies and it’s disgusting. It’s been going on for a while now.
Just paid $5.89 for a blt with one slice of bacon. I mentioned its sparseness to the girl behind the counter. She added another slice of lettuce. Again fantastic service from breuggers. We are frequent customers, and every week there is something out if stock, or poorly made. I wish there was a local bagel place in Delmar. I would much rather give my money to them. It is no wonder that this place is in chapter 11.
Sometimes they dont allow the bagels to rise prior to cooking. I have received too many flat, pancake type bagels.
Clean store with many flavors of bagels. Sometimes the line can be long. Nice assortment of addons, cream cheese, lox, etc. Cant comment on sandwiches which I havent tried.

Bagels were good but I had two wait for 15 minutes for one bagel. Due to the slowest employee I had ever delt with if your trying to get sum quick food dont count on this place
Bagels are good for a chain. Yes this place gets busy and lines are expected on the weekend but there really isnt another bagel shop in Delmar.
As always brueggers does a good bagle! Always fast, but not always neat, and sometimes less than stellar end result. Its not the not the norm but common enough, and the interior dining area could use some work (carpet replacement).
Sometimes when you order a bagel toasted, they put it in the microwave looking thingy...instead of the toaster conveyer, and it comes out like...mushy warm not toasted. I don’t get it. Otherwise, Its a Brueggers! There you have it!!
Painfully slow, the food we received was cold, and the server gave us the wrong bagel (which was stale). This is not New York style as they advertise...

2022-07-03I ordered a dozen bagels and told the man what I wanted. While putting together my order he was talking to the other staff and answering questions. When he said one more I figured he was a multitasker like myself and it was correct. I actually gave a tip. When I went home i saw I only had 1 sesame, not 2 as I ordered which makes the count 12 not the 13 for a dozen. I was disappointed. I guess he was not a multitasker as I repeated the amount of each type of bagel I wanted. I wanted to return and get my bagel but was reminded by others when I shared the experience that I would be spending time and money (gas)and if I return to always count them before I leave.

2022-05-09This location seems to be struggling to provide consistent food and service. We frequent this location because our daughter lives here. Over the past few months we experienced poorly assembled sandwiches, surly staff, and raw (cinnamon raisin) bagels. The last visit the coffee bar was a mess and there was no regular coffee. I had to wait 10 minutes for the entire pot to brew after notifying the register person. This was after purchasing bagels, sandwiches, and checkout. I was the only person in the entire restaurant. It left me wondering whose task, of the 3 idle workers, it was to take care of the coffee bar. Bruegger’s can be great, but not at this location.

2022-05-28Staff was polite. Asked if I wanted bagel toasted, I said yes, it was not. Very light on the cream cheese, which just a small amount on one side. Rest of bagel with lox was good though! Will go again.

2022-03-01The young guy with glasses who was working the cash register has got some attitude. But the women who made our breakfast sandwiches were quick and friendly. The sandwiches were alright.As a fellow food service guy, I don’t expect the service to be enthusiastic and full of smiles all, or even most of the time. But to snap at your customers just cause you’re in a bad mood isn’t cool.

2022-07-02Came to pickup an order and the girl at the register told me they havent started it yet. Ok no problem, waited over 10 mins and I guess is a manager asked me if Im waiting for an order I said yes and she proceeds to hand me my order. The first girl couldve just looked to her left and see if my order was on the shelf but didnt bother instead of making me wait and my food get cold.

2020-02-23This was our second time at this Brueggers. We love the company but it was a weird experience. We got the big box of bagels with 3 tubs of cream cheese. This is a warning to ehoever goes check to see the cream cheese in the container before you get it. This one we got is not full. Unfortunately we didnt know until we got home. The customer service here wasnt the best they were not enjoying their jobs and also were not the best at communication.

2021-11-21Stopped in the other day for breakfast ! Store was packed per usual , an I was running late to work , thankfully “Ant” waited on me , he was very nice and tried to get me in and out ASAP but also was very efficient an listened to everything I wanted on it . My farmhouse came out delicious :) ty
