Nice walk, cool to see the river and bridge from this angle!

In the winter it is a somewhat challenging task to get here as the winds create snow dunes and makes it a bit tougher on cross country skis. I find it a nice place to run to and as a turnaround point from the park entrance when trail running. Just prior to this point contains a nice distant view of the mist from Niagara Falls.

Lived in the area almost my whole life and have no idea why weve only discovered this park recently. While the park as a whole is beautiful, its the peninsula that is the go-to spot. You need to understand what youre seeing and the importance of the location to appreciate the complete beauty. Do yourself a favor and hike your family out here. You wont forget it.

Its a really neat place where the Niagara River comes back together. The Canadian side flows faster so right at this north tip there is a permanent rapid. There is considerable undertow and it is only about 1.5 miles above the falls so entering the water here is strongly discouraged. It is posted Enter at own risk, to protect the power authority, but as long as you are not screwing around you should be fine.

Beautiful day and well kept trails. Worth the trip to the point. Great view.

Incredible park to walk, run, or ride through. Several spots where you can swim however today i saw the NYS power authority sign at the northwestern most point (the pier-like spot) that says no swimming thought i assume its only for that spot as the current is far too powerful to swim against. The whole park is gorgeous, theres at least 3 spots you can enter from, each leading to different areas that have several little off shoot trails you can walk through and explore a little. Usually they all lead to small flat spots where you get a great view of the niagara river. Highly recommend taking nature strolls down any of these trails.

My childhood park where we go fishing, skip rocks, canoeing, walk, ride bikes, and take the dogs swimming. Small, but easy to get to with multiple access points.
