Did not have car I reserved available at the time I was supposed to pick it up. Pathetic customer service would not help to find a car at another location. Completely unacceptable to totally disregard a reservation ahead of time. Only book from here if you want a 50/50 shot or less to get the car you reserved
1 STAR IS TOO GENEROUS!!! Tryed to advance reserve a car by phone and cust. ser. rep. was unknowable, rude, unprofessional, gave me incorrect information and was USELESS. .and DID NOT CARE! I then placed an advanced reservation myself online, including payment.I needed a car at 8 am for an important business meeting. When I called the White Plains NY location to advise I would be there in 3 mins, I was told I dont know what happened but there are no cars here! WHAT?! She further advised she had no idea when ANY car would be available!!I immediately called customer service where I spoke to multiple people who said they could do nothing, but if I wanted a refund theyd initiate one.REALLY UPSET I explained I needed a car and would not have reserved with co if this didnt insure me a car. AGAIN, very rude, unprofessional and unconcerned with my issues, the last rep laughed and said thats all I can do and youll have to wait for a car. Also told despite the multiple problems, I was responsible for still bringing my car back 24 hrs after reservations TIME, regardless of when I actually got the car!Hours later after repeatedly calling the local location I was advised some SUVS came in and,thats all that was available and come get it before its gone.I rushed to the local rental location, where there was 8 people waiting, 1 person working and was advised they all had 8am reservations too!I was forced to use an SUV, not appropriate for my business meeting, and nobody was available to answer my questions on SUV features and no car manual in vehicle!!I WAS 5 HOURS LATE FOR AN IMPORTANT BUSINESS MEETING AND WAS DRIVING LATE INTO THE NIGHT!!!AND....If you want to speak to ANYONE to complain or get help, NOBODY is available except the help desk AND NO OTHER INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE!!WORST EXPERIENCE FROM START UNTIL END!!!WHERE IS YOUR LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY BUDGET!!!????
Second time I have used budget in two years. The first time they accused me of not returning the key and charge me accordingly. I tried them recently again and they increased my bill roughly $75 for no reason. Now I have to go Chase down their customer service. Unacceptable.
Went on Friday without reservation. Two ladies at desk unprofessional kept talking about lunch the whole time I was there.. Tried to get me to rent crappy reject Kia. Would not accept my debit card for a monthly rental, which was at a hight cost, she mentioned in a rather nasty tone company policy, I dont know why Said goodbye walked over to Enterprise up the street, got a good price good car without reservation, and Kent was professional took time to show me car although had other people in office. Will stick with Enterprise in future.
Allows you to pay in advance with a debit card only to find out one couldnt rent because of a soft credit check. Then three to five business days for money to be refunded. Only one person working behind the counter running in and out looking over vehicle with customers while people are waiting inside. The worst choice of car rental businesses. Ill stay with Hertz!
My daughter and I had a long night after our flight to white Plaines was diverted to Albany.Needless to say we had to return a car we drove from Albany to WP in the middle of the night. It was super simple, easy to find, and then Kevin offered to drive us to the train station that was a mile away. It want far but we were exhausted. A silver lining in our planes,trains, and automobile adventure.
Jackie i think her name is, is rude af. When i went in there she didnt say goodmorning she asked my last name and for my debit or credit card, I knew my charges already and she added extra charges that she didnt explain anything unless I asked, (ex. the debit/credit card charges) bad customer service.
This facility rented my husband a replacement car that smelled like an animal had died inside, had scratches all over the rear bumper, and one that had over 36-thousand miles on it (cars with over 35-thousand miles are to be sold). The customer service rep did not perform a walk-around prior to renting and indicated that the fuel tank was full when it had only 3-quarters of a tank.

2021-12-14Ive always had an AMAZING experience here. Staff are lovely, choices of cars are pretty good and the overall experience beats off everything else for me.If youre using a hospital discount bring your ID FYI

2021-08-24I was going to write a detailed review of my experience but decided to keep it as brief as possible. This place is very shady. We prepaid for a Premium size vehicle but when we got there the Manager Gina said they dont even carry Premium in their fleet, which she neglected to mention the numerous times I called to ask questions about the reservation. Was given a Standard vehicle at Premium price. She didnt even pretend to try to accommodate us although she admitted that the website had a glitch the day I made my reservation. Hmm ok. You could tell the car wasnt cleaned and it was run down. I was charged again 3 different times, three different prices on my credit card after I returned the vehicle, although it was prepaid for and overly priced. I had to keep calling to get the charges removed. It was a terrible experience. I would never recommend this place.

2021-06-28I feel that I was missed treated and charged for something that could of been an oversight of the establishment. To have me go and vacuum the car when I come to try to drop it off and then still charge me a cleaning fee for pet hair when there was never any animals in the car is absurd. If I could give this place zero stars I would dont rent from here they dont look over their cars in detail and then charge other people for it.

2021-10-24When I was shown the vehicle that was available, it was evident that nothing inside had been sanitized or even cleaned. In fact, there was visible dirt, debris and crumbs both in the front seats and floors as well as the back. As a result I was given a different vehicle which seemed to be cleaner. By the time got on the road to take my son to college the next morning, I noticed that both front tires were bald and barely had any treads left. The white fibers were showing through one of the tires and I had to drive 40mph fearing the safety of myself and family inside. The SUV kept drifting due to rain on the way upstate which made the ride dangerous and terrifying. I was shocked that one would even rent a vehicle in such dilapidated condition. I took pictures and if I was able to post them I certainly would have done so. It appears that making money now seems more important than ensuring the health and safety of customers.

2021-04-28Because Gina is a genie, and the rest of the crew might as well be my family members, since Ive felt closer to them lately...I go there for a warm welcome, and, if, or when things go wrong, they always have a solution... Sometimes I wonder if its a special treatment or something, but I realize more and more that they just enjoy respecting and helping customers...but theyre so chill here, I start to even question my own job sometimes, like, maybe Id be happier working with them...lol... That says a lot, because I love being a delivery girl... Peace and one love everybody!...

2019-09-21We reserved the car through these guys through Priceline. I called to get the local pick up from the railroad station because they advertise they pick up on their site. However I was told that if you book through Priceline I do not get a pick up. If we could have found a better option we would have cancelled the reservation and I guess theyd rather not have our business at all then help us get 4 large bags 22 minutes from the station. Instead I rented a Lime bike and rode through traffic to go pick up the car. They have a big sign in the office advertising local pick up, go figure...I will say that the office guy Kevin was fantastic. He got us a good rate to drop the car at JFK instead of coming back to the office, cleaned up the car nicely and was super helpful around tolls and so forth information. No high pressure sells for insurance either. He was very much appreciated and the no Priceline pickup policy is not his fault.The other place to improve is to provide more than a garden hose and a scrub brush for cleaning the cars. They were filthy. Levin rinsed off ours quickly, but said there are only car washes at the rental agencies at the airport. When youre paying hundreds of dollars for rental car it shouldnt come looking like it hasnt been washed for three months.

2020-01-04I pre paid $1,300 for a Suburban. I did a dry run loading up a Suburban a few weeks ago so that I was sure everything would fit on my trip. I was given a Chevy Tahoe in White Plains. I complained extensively at pick up but was just told that a Suburban wasn’t available. Sure enough, all my gear didn’t fit and I had to leave items behind. A Tahoe has 27 cubic feet less of storage than a Suburban. Now I have to ship kitchen chairs to Florida. I will NEVER rent from Budget again. I’ve been trying to call the manager at Budget in White Plains since 1/2 but just get switched over to the call center. I want a refund. Please help

2018-05-29This is the first time am using Budget rental. It was a worst experience. Please make sure to check with your final charges on the bill before you take your car. They try to cheat you in all aspects. Here are a few on my bill:- The gasoline / gallon for a full tank was displayed at 2.83 / gallon on their bill board.- The capacity of the tank of the car that I took was 10.40 gallons.- They charged me at $ 41.06.- When I checked with their customer service, they bluntly replied, that the charge was at 3.29 / gallon and the capacity for the tank was their decision.Secondly there was a sales tax included for this gasoline sales. Not sure how they are legally allowed to double tax an item.

2020-08-15They were professional, friendly, helpful and very efficient. Prices were affordable and they included my discount. Budget also had hours of operation that accommodated me as well. Easy peasy process from beginning to end. Thank you Budget.
