Buffalo Marriott Niagara in Buffalo

Buffalo, Erie County, New York, US
I have stayed here a few times. This hotel is large. The hotel needs some repairs and updates. It is very close to the University of Buffalo. It is also very close to restaurants. The rates can be expensive on football weekends. The breakfast is very expensive and dinner as well. I would not recommend having breakfast here. There are several restaurants in the area to have breakfast.
I know we are still in covid times but not having rooms cleaned daily stinks! Please someone from corporate see this!!! YOUR PILLOWS SUCK!!! Not everyone can sleep on down alt pillows. I could barely move my neck by the end of the stay! Please also look at your treadmills, they are old and they skip. I uses 2 different one in the 3 days there and I almost killed myself! I will say the DJ on Friday night was sooooo much fun! We were so disappointed that it wasnt there Saturday too!!!! You do need more trained bartenders if your going to keep the DJ.
Positive: I am struggling to say anything nice. Negative: This is an old hotel. It doesn¿t feel like a 4 star. The plumbing is old - and our toilet would barely flush. The water pressure on the shower was so high it flooded the bathroom. The bathroom door was rotten along the back - nowhere to hang towels
Positive: Needed hotel to attend a U Buffalo college tour. Could have walked to north campus if we had wanted to it was so close. Room was clean and served its purpose. Got a great price so satisfied overall. Would stay there again. Negative: Until you figure out you can park in the back of the hotel, near an entrance to where the rooms are, its a bit of a hike from check-in to where the rooms are located. no breakfast included and hotel restaurant was very pricey so ate elsewhere.
Made reservations 3 months in advance and when I get there I was told they didnt have my room with double beds. So they gave me a executive room with a king bed and sofa pull-out. The room looked old and the sofa had stains, and the king bedding made me itchy 😫 The toilet made a loud noise with every flush. Will not be back.
Booked rooms over a month ago and got there and no rooms available and luckily we got a room which looked nothing like the pictures, room paper wall was falling off and lot of dirt and old toys under the bed & all in different floors. ON THE OTHER HAND, STAFF WERE AMAZING AND DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO MAKE OUR STAY A WEEKEND OF NO REGRETS
Positive: Mostly clean, renovated, nice. Negative: No fitted bed sheet was weird. There was just a flat sheet laying on top of the bed so when you move around at night the sheet comes off. Never seen that at a hotel. Very strange. The room could have been a tiny bit cleaner.
After two nights in Hampton Inns, this was a welcome change. They have indoor and outdoor pools and a hot tub/whirlpool.I always love it when a hotel has a hot tub. And, after reserving our room through priceline.com, it was less than half the price of either Hampton Inn room. (Nota bene: we didnt use priceline.com for either of the Hampton Inn rooms.)
We have been coming to this hotel for literally decades. We live elsewhere in upstate New York, and our most recent visit here was because of the NCAA mens basketball tournament. As always the hotel was in great shape, you would never guess how long it has been in this same location.
This is one the disappointing hotel. The staff won’t treat you well, they won’t answer any of your requests, they don’t provide high speed free internet and it is just worthless. We called the reception everyday during our stay of a week, to clean our room but nobody bothered. This is the least customer obsessed hotel I have ever seen.Never going to come again and won’t recommend it to anyone. Please take my word, you will loose your patience and temper if you stay here.
I enjoyed my stay. However I stayed for about two months and my points were never added to my stay. I called marriot and they said I had to settle with the hotel. I called the hotel and the girl said she would pass this issue along to their back office. I never received a call back. That’s a lot of points I missed out on.
Positive: very easy to get to was plus for us since this was our first time in the area. The hotel staff was very nice checking in and out. Room was very clean. I¿ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the yrs, this was the 1st bed that was extremely comfortable Negative: Honestly, I can¿t complain. Covid restrictions/staff shortages due to covid puts a huge damper on not having breakfast available in the hotel restaurant, etc. you can¿t really blame the hotel
Positive: Excellent location. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. Room was clean and quiet. Felt safe. Negative: Bathtub drain was clogged. Unfortunately you don¿t realize this until you are in the shower; otherwise, I would have given better rating. Coffee was not available in the lobby as early in the morning as I wanted it.
Not the cleanest or most updated. Staff, all around, wasnt particularly friendly. Bartender was sort of rude. Housekeeper opened door to my room at 8:30am, without knocking, while my family was sleeping and I was getting out of shower. Food scarce, but bed and room were comfortable. Not the worst, but no where near the best that Ive stayed.
Rooms were horrible -- old, outdated, dusty, spiderwebs, and water damage. This is how the room was when I walked in and the air was not not working (almost as if someone else went in before me and saw how bad it was a left). I gave 2 stars because staff did switch my room. The new room was on the first floor. It was better, but still had outdated, and had issues with air and feeling muggy. Seems like they are not addressing the issues in the rooms or evening attending to them.
I went to college near the hotel and the location was wonderful to visit a friend. There are at least 6 hotels nearby and Marriott was nice. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, toddler beds provided when asked. Breakfast felt a bit on the greasy side, but affordable through expedia. It was our first family hotel stay since COVID began. The county instituted a mask mandate a few days before our stay requiring masks in all public places. Some of the staff wore masks, perhaps one in three or four. There was a small sign by the reception. Few guests wore masks as well. It was stressful and strange. I hope no member of our family gets or transmits COVID. This is my main complaint.I asked for two rooms to be placed nearby. I was told expedia requests were not communicated. I should have called the hotel. I requested queen beds, but only king bed rooms were available. Not a big deal.Pool was humid and dripping water from the ceiling throughout. It wasnt a real negative for me.Smoke alarm in the room was covered in a plastic bag. There may have been a faint residue of pot or smoke. We called the front desk and requested someone to take a look. After 24 hours and no one coming (no housekeeping either) we removed the plastic bag ourselves. The room was dry. We asked for a humidifier and told they were not available.
I can’t believe the amount of incompetence of this place. We had a wedding here and while the staff are incredibly nice, they really struggled most of the time. Because they were nice, will spare some details. Would also add that while I booked rooms for our out of town vendors, they still charged one of ours by mistake and a month later have not rectified. Unless you are doing a small simple wedding, would avoid.
Customer service at Buffalo Marriott Niagara was exceptional. We had felt stranded after canceling at another cheaper hotel close by after seeing how dirty and smelly the room was. We knew Marriott had always been a good choice for us in the past, but we also knew what the prices were after I looked it up online previously. We were worried what it would be for a five night stay. But we chose to walk into Marriott because we had to be somewhere soon and were short on time. The front desk person was kind and sympathetic about our situation and after speaking with the manager, offered us a special rate for the five nights we needed. The room was clean, quiet, updated, and comfortable. Their pillows are soft and the beds just right. They offered complimentary Starbucks coffee and water bottles in the lobby daily.
Very clean. Excellent service. Friendly. COVID testing service (run by a separate company) in the Marriott parking lot was an unexpected benefit since I wanted to get tested after travel and prior to visiting my Mom. Refrigerator in room. No microwave which would have been useful.
The hotel needs updating. At the very least cleaning should be top priority especially due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, cleanliness was subpar at best. Would recommend booking across the street at the courtyard or find a Holiday Inn Express near by for a much better experience.
The furnishings were all stained, mattress the most uncomfortable ones I have ever slept on lumpy and soft. All the vending machines sold out on all floors. Toilet clogs easily. Place was TRASH for a Marriot. Only decent thing was their employees who tried their best under such horrible circumstances. The place needs a total renovation.
We are Canadians and needed a place to stay overnight to take our COVID test and they had a facility right on site, so it was perfect. We arrived late at the airport, and there were not taxis on site, we waited almost an hour when I decided to call the hotel. I asked if they had a shuttle and he told me they did and the driver came right away. Amazing. We were so happy. The service at this hotel is great! I would like to suggest you open the restaurant. We didnt like the take-out breakfast and would have preferred to eat at the restaurant.
Dirty. No access to pool. Found old food in my room from almost a year ago. I will not stay here again.Lack of staff shouldn’t mean the staff you do have does a poor job. Any service should be good service! If you need towels, I suggest you pack some extra before staying here.
Number Rating below this summary! This hotel was pretty awesome and perfect for a 3 night Niagara falls trip without spending an fortune at the tourist hotels/traps. It was clean, quiet, had friendly staff and had plenty of parking. There are 2 downsides to this property, 1 - Pool was closed, 2 - The hotel was a little old but clean. With Covid still among us, it makes sense that there would be cut backs like the dinning at the hotel is only open for 5pm to 11pm I believe, but the food was decent.Overall 9/10 -Would stay here and recommend to friends and family.Price 9/10 -I got it for 149 a night, and I doubt you will find anything cheaper that close.Distance 8/10 -This is about 20 minutes away from, Niagara falls, which is great because youre also 20 minutes away from downtown buffalo, -2 points for small tolls to Niagara falls.Location 9/10 -Plenty of places to eat of quality, 5 minute drive to a good selection. Plenty of things to do within a 15-20 minute ride. Mall is close by as well as smaller shops.
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The Covid-19 testing site was just outside and very convenient. It is a pity the restaurant was closed due the the Covid-19 restrictions but we enjoyed a couple of beers at the bar after a long day travelling. We were very impressed with the young lady at the desk who greeted us later she helped serving at the bar, the next morning she was still working at the desk and helping at the coffee bar.
Lousy front office staff. Didnt give me the room with 2 double beds I had booked. Have a king bed room for 3 guest. Check-in took 35 minutes with no separate line for Marriott Elite (Im a lifetime Titanium). Check in staff was RUDE, un-empathetic, careless, had bad attitude, not fit for the job. Experience was worse than the worst motel. Stay away from Marriott Buffalo hotel.
Didnt stay, but visited family while they were in town. This place looks and smells like an overpriced dump. Time to renovate guys. Got in the elevator to ride to the 4th floor and it smelled like someone had just lit up a fresh bowl and then a clove right after they pounded the bowl to cover up the smell...it didnt cover up the smell. The rear entrance smelled similar. The interior of the place looks like a super dated version of the movie Dustin Checks In. For a room that costs about $200 a night on a cheap night, it isnt worth it to have to stare at the nicotine colored walls and blood red carpet. The staff seemed super nice and helpful tho.
I have stayed in various hotels across the country and i have to say this is once of the worst locations i stayed at. I was traveling with my daughter and checked into the hotel. As usual i check i check the room throughly before i place my items on the floor or lay on the bed.As soon as i entered the room i noticed the bathroom had hairs all over the bathtub, sheets, and the bed. I pulled back the covers and noticed there were stains on the sheets and the mattress cover. The stains were brown and black. There was a chair that was placed next to the window and while checking the chair I saw food that was stuck to the seat cushion. I then proceeded to see a bug that was on the floor of the hotel room floor crawling as well as a spider that was on the wall.I notified the front desk and then they moved me to another room. The room was on the same floor just further down the hall.Normally i am used to hotels providing room service the whole nine yards however, due to covid i have not been placing that as a factor on my reviews. The room they transferred me into was still subpar and had issues so i went to the store on Niagara Falls blvd to clean the room and i just asked them for new sheets. After i cleaned the room saw a menu for the blue star grill ( something similar to that) they were inside hotel and offered breakfast and dinner. They were limited on options so I decided to get two omelets for my daughter and I. I can honestly say the food service was horrible. I ordered my food and then after an hour in a half the lady came back to me and says “ oh yeah i think this was your food.”….This was a bag she placed on the counter and when i asked her earlier if it was my food she stated this is a customers food.I got my food which was cold, unseasoned, and it tasted like middle school cafeteria food. I took one bite and threw it in the trash. My daughter did not want to ever try any more of it even when i drowned the hash browns in ketchup. We decided to go over to the Canadian side for some food the rest of the trip. When it came time to check out i went to the front desk and notified them of the problems i had AGAIN, and the refunded my points for the stay.Honestly, i am disappointed in Marriott and the experience that i had. Normally, i have had nothing but the best of experiences however as of lately the service as dismissed. I waited until after the third stay this year to write the review because i wanted to give them a chance.
Happy with our stay considering these challenging times. Small issues were dealt with in a timely manner. We were looking forward to having a nice meal at the restaurant. Upon arrival we noticed all the tables had not been cleaned for some time. Decided to try a stool at the bar, and noticed all the dirt in the trowels and decided to leave and go to an outside establishment
I was incredibly disappointed by this hotel stay. It was a work trip and the WiFi was down the entire time. I received confusing information from the front desk staff about where I could go nearby to use WiFi. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he would call me. He never called me. There were no tissues in the room, the door lock got jammed at one point, the hallway smelled like urine. The list just goes on and on. I am most upset that despite all these issues, the manager of the hotel, refused to speak with me. I will be traveling to Buffalo often and planned to stay near the University at this hotel, but after this experience, I will not be back.
Most all amenities are still closed. Don’t expect any of the benefits you were told you would have. Lounge is closed food options are extremely limited and staff was less than helpful. I was told I would get an extra 1000 points and also due to an issue they would comp a snack I order but again none of that happened. Very disappointed with this Marriott.
Dirtiest Marriott I’ve ever seen. Shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Carpets needed vacuuming. Glasses were dirty. I know it’s probably hard to hire enough employees for this large hotel right now but at least think ahead, make fewer rooms available and focus on providing the level of service and cleanliness I’ve come to expect from you after 15 years of patronage. Ashamed.
There were pubic hairs on the bathroom floor as well as long hairs found in my bedding. Trying to contact the front desk was impossible. You had to walk all the way down to the front desk. Most of the staff were helpful but there was a woman who definitely had no business working in this field, as she did not like helping people and was extremely rude. Because of covid there were limited house keeping services which is fine because I was there for a few days and do not need my room cleaned everyday. But it would have been nice to drop off fresh towels and coffee with cups for the in room coffee maker. It was sweltering hot and the pool was closed.
Paying top dollar for a hotel when the pool is in maintenance or cleaning and unavailable the length of the stay, followed by NO complimentary breakfast? A super 8 would have been a more pleasant experience. This place is terrible and it will be my last stay at a Marriott!
Massive water leak and flood in this hotel on April 24, floor 1-4. The entire hotel smelled like sewage on April 24 and on April 26. Stanley Steamer informed me that they could dry the carpet but they could not properly clean the carpets or the smell. The smell eminated to the 10th floor. This was an awesome hotel with an awesome pool and jacuzzi and a friendly staff.Unless you can confirm in person that the hotel building (back entrance) doesnt smell like sewage, you MUST book elsewhere!
Ive stayed in this hotel for over 6yrs. I was told the day before our arrival that the dining room was open, it was not. You could order and pick it up but its not worth the price. Go out to eat.The rooms havent been attended to for repairs and upkeep. Cleaniness is good.Covid -19 really affected this hotel. Maybe in time it will return to the standard it had.
I had a disgusting bath tub and shower curtain with brown and black all over it. Called for it to be changed, said it would be changed and was never changed. Other guests who had reservations then no longer had rooms while others were checking in. Could not get a hold of front desk multiple times. Asked to speak to someone at the hotel, was promised follow up. Then called the hotel, was sent to a number with no voicemail. Tried to call back, no answer. Sent an email with a complaint, no answer.
Good experience. Older hotel but kept in good repair. Staff were friendly and helpful. 20 minutes from the airport. They have covid testing in a tent in the parking lot. Our room was medium size but it looked recently updated. Bathroom needed paint. Pool was shutdown. We didnt try their restaurant. Bed was a little soft but room was quiet.
Disappointed how rund down the place was. Bath tub was leaking water everywhere. Signs of water damage all around the bathroom. I would have given lower stars but the customer service was excellent. Frond desk worker was great. Also if your pools are closed put a disclaimer on your website!
Positive: Location and proximity to University at Buffalo and food. Negative: The hotel was not very clean. The room was not clean, did not have tissue or wash cloths, the front desk did not answer the phone. The room had to be changed and the new room had issues with the ac
Buffalo Niagara Marriott is convenient to UB campus and stadium as well as some very good bar/restaurants. Have never had an issue while staying at this property. Staff has always been professional and efficient. The shuttle service to and from airport basically eliminates the need for a full term rental car.
No internet for half of my stay.Front desk does not respond.Rooms not cleaned and stinks.Refrigerator was broken and food got spoiled. shower does not work properlyoverall very very bad experience...Never will stay here again. I am thinking to change my membership from Marriot to other Brands after been member for about 10 years.....
Lots of room of improvement at this hotel. Things are very different with Covid as it relates to concierge lounge food and beverage however no reason why the front desk clerk can’t offer water and a snack to elite members. Also was there 5 nights and I put the tag on the door to get extra points for 3 days and then took it off because I needed toilet paper. When I came back from work that evening no one had cleaned the room or left toilet paper. So I had to go down to the front desk to tell them what happen and they offered me a roll of toilet paper from behind the desk. I think in some cases people are using the COVID issues to be lazy and not do their jobs. The hotel was not the cleanest either and water was leaking on the floor behind the toilet. I’m back there for a month in June but I won’t be staying at this hotel I’m sorry to say unless things change drastically.
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights it was nightmare they don’t have room service and beds are not clean has blood finger tips on side. They won’t explain anything to you when you check in, they won’t answer the phone you have to go downstairs to speak to someone. You have to use same towels and bed sheet for 2-3 nights. Over ALL THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. PLEASE DON’T GO HERE. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY. They don’t have good management at ALL.
Been to this location many many times in the past 10 years. But this is my last. They have hundreds of empty rooms and they put me in a filthy room that had stains everywhere. Went to the front desk and grabbed another room and it wasnt much better. There was 5 cars in the parking lot at 9:00 on a Saturday. And those were no doubt employees. Very sad...this used to be my go stay in buffalo. Strange and creepy to be the only person in the whole hotel....
First class service. Our family was in town for a funeral celebration. The staff helped accommodate all of our families needs – and there were a lot of people! They went out of their way to make it feel as if we were staying at somebody’s home. It truly was a Ritz Carlton experience!
Its almost a shame to take the time to write a review. As always, the Buffalo Marriott Niagara meets or exceeds the standards of the Marriott brand. Easily one of my preferred hotels of the Marriott chain, the Buffalo Marriott Niagara never disappoints. If they cant provide the service, they will find you someone who can... but if youve got a request they cant provide, what youre asking for probably isnt legal.Overall another great stay.
4 stars for the amazing staff. The hotel itself needs a major renovation although it remains clean and mostly tidy. They need to keep better tabs on the back entrance... windows need washing and leaves swept out. The front desk clerk who doubles as a waitress in the restaurant at the same time deserves a raise!! I would stay here again.
Showed up to my room and a lamp was broken. I never called to report the problem, but around 10pm a maintenance employee showed up. Being a female staying alone I was extremely uncomfortable and the staff clearly knew I was alone because of when I checked in. While they are clearly active on addressing issues customer comfort isnt taken into consideration unless you complain. I ended up getting a new room after complaining about noise.
Very happy with our stay. Pool and hot tub were great, my kids were in there for hours. We didnt use the gym but it was the nicest I had seen in a hotel. Tons of brand new equipment. Room was perfectly fine, clean and decent size. The restaurant / bar area was really nice as well. Everyone we encountered was extremely pleasant. Would definitely recommend.
A very tired property rummored to be for sale. Definitely not up to current Marriott standards. Restaurant closed due to COVID. Room was reaaonably clean but mattress had a big divet...slept poorly. Staff very friendly...not their fault. Hopefully, somebody will buy it and put some money into it.
Positive: Free coffee Negative: They put us on the first floor and we were the only ones there and no one was on the first 5 floors. The tiles in our room were filthy and dirty footprints throughout into the bathroom. We never had maid service and the restaurant wasn¿t open.
Not sure why all these people are saying rooms are dirty. I travel a lot and always stay in Marriott brand hotels because the experience is similar. This is a nice, clean and comfortable hotel. We were in the area to drop my nephew off at UB. This location is very convenient. Covid screwed everything up in this world so the coffee stand and restaurant were not open. However!! They have coffee ready behind the front desk and snacks you can purchase. Directly across the street are two restaurants where you can eat and plenty more in the area if you want to drive 3 minutes. Overall the hotel is a little dated but other than that it was a great experience.
We had a good visit to this Marriot property, but the hotel seems outdated. Because of Covid, rooms were being cleaned every 3 days, which we didnt know. The reception offered enough towels throughout our stay. The gym was fantastic. The hotel was less than 20 min away from Niagara Falls.
Great for sleep and go. I was very disappointed with the pool area. It was very dirty, and freezing for an indoor pool. I didn’t get in it was too dirty. The hot tub was taped off- couldn’t use it. Their wasn’t a microwave in the room which was weird. The best thing about the stay was the bed which was very comfy, TV which was huge, and the price.
This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The manager never called me after many attempts of trying to track her down. The room never got serviced after requesting many time. The hotel in general is very dirty, looks very run down. The doors into the hotel look very tired, the need servicing, with the amount of money they are charging there is very little upkeep. I would not recommend staying at this location.
Do not stay here. Its filthy.Went with my family to see Niagara falls and we had our room upgraded. Once we began to wind down for the evening and unfolded the folding couch bed we discovered a large urine stain on the sheets and mattress. Clearly the urine has been left there with no effort to clean it. I called the front desk and asked for new sheets or assistance and they told me all they could do was provide a new room and did not have clean sheets. Gross. Dont waste your money.
Generally a full service hotel, but as expected, many amenities closed due to covid. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool areas. Nice outdoor courtyard but unkempt. Evening staff was great and informative. I was disappointed at the appearance/cleanliness of the main entrances. Considering the current state.. it appeared as though none of the doors had been cleaned all week. It made me wonder what else was overlooked.
When I booked this hotel I was told this was the Marriott on the Falls overlooking the water. Ha! Not only was it not, but it was the dirtiest Marriott Ive ever stayed in my life. Staff was not the best, bar/restaurant was understaffed (bartender was the cook) rooms were dirty, pool closed, fitness center a joke.
I know that the staff is doing the best that they can, but if there were breakfast options other than the take-out style (which, as we all know gives you a cold meal that should have been hot, not their problem, just thermodynamics).A grab and go option, or at least have some items for sale (e.g. granola bars, etc.) would be a great upgrade. I hate (as most people would agree) going to a customer with a growling stomach only to wait for lunch is quite distracting.
Over the years I have stayed at many Marriotts and this was the most disgusting Marriott I have ever stayed at. This hotel is in serious need for renovations. Being a Titanium Elite member, I requested upgrade using my suite night awards. If I had known the upgrade to a suite would be more of a downgrade, I would have never requested it. The bath tub wasnt clean, it had stains, the couch had stains, even the chairs for the dining table had disgusting stains. The used bedding for the pullout couch was left inside the couch. The furniture in the room was old and starting to fall apart. The lights in the bathroom didnt work and had to call front desk twice before someone came to fix it.
Decent hotel. The front desk was a little slow but the staff were helpful and nice. It’s a walk to the elevators which was interesting. My room was a good size with more modern furnishings and a large LCD (48”+). The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is very small but served it’s purpose. Personally I prefer the newer Courtyard one exit down the highway.
This hotel was just perfect in every sense. The rooms were clean. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. But the best part of the hotel stay is surely the breakfast buffet. Every item in the buffet was fresh and the taste was excellent. The price of the stay is a little on the expensive side($170/night I guess) on busy weekends I guess but it is totally worth every bit of it.
Great employees, the check in was quick and efficient! ....The hotel itself needs some repairs and updates, the air conditioning units need some major upkeep (they do not cool very well). The paint on the walls in the room need to be refreshed. The beds are very old and not comfortable. I am giving this place a 3 mainly due to the great staff....
Nice big hotel... Certainly not cramped for space, with a big lobby, lots of conference rooms, etc. It is a little dated though... Could definitely use a bit of a refresh. There rooms were mostly clean, but tile grout showed its age and the bathrooms were smallish. The room had a humongous TV. The staff was nice. The pool was good sized. Buffet breakfast was expensive but had a decent variety of food.
Marriot has always been a great place to stay. The rooms are neatly done and well-appointed. I just have 2 suggestions - 1. Please try to have a microwave in rooms 2. Please have a hand wash as part of your toiletry. It would be really helpful for the COVID situation.
Joe Saltenberger provided the best customer service I have experienced at a hotel in my entire adult life. He helped me out with a very unique request, and did everything in his power to accommodate me. Highly, highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers. Thanks again for the five star service, Joe Saltenberger!
So far out of the Marriott chain of hotels this has been the most difficult hotel. No remote for TV, no coffee pot. One menu for the restaurant to be shared. When checking in they asked king or double bed, I confirmed two doubles and they asked for a second reservation. Very condesending, will not stay at a n actual Marriott in the near future.
They have a clearly posted quiet hours policy after 10 pm. However they also decided to host an incredibly loud Latin dance banquet until midnight. Seems to violate their own quiet hours policy. Called down to the front desk to request them to stop the party due to quiet hours but they refused. Seems they do not value the sleep of their guests. The reason I paid for a hotel room was to get sleep which was impossible.Edit: the manager was able to compensate us for the night that the music was too loud to sleep. We were thankful for the compensation and I’m glad the hotel was able to do the right thing considering the situation. Let’s hope this was a one time issue. The hotel was decent otherwise.
Great location along the hi-way. Staff is consistently friendly and helpful. This is a full service hotel located next to the university so it is very busy much of the time. Rooms are clean and modern. Very good pool and fitness center. Hotel restaurant serves a very nice breakfast. Room service is excellent. An excellent choice if you are staying in Amherst New York. This is a well run hotel with top flight staff.
The hotel was up-to-date and well maintained. The service was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The bar was busy and well staffed to keep the service friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. The little extra we paid was well worth the full breakfast. The omelette was done perfectly. Having both an indoor and outdoor pool gave the option to swim both inside or out. Our son who is in high school sports took advantage of the fitness station and the other who is in college was able to get some work done thanks to the high speed internet. We were looking for a location by the highway where we could get a good nights rest and a nice breakfast before continuing our trip into Canada. This was the perfect location and left us rested and ready to go on our trip the next morning. We would definitely consider staying there again.
Lovely and attractive hotel. Centrally located. Extraordinary customer service from the moment you walk in. Now thats terrific. Super nice and clean rooms, full breakfast available and many of the rates include. We love this hotel and go out of our way to stay here when we come up to visit family. Cannot say enough good things about the people who work here.
This is an exceptionally nice Marriott. Great front desk staff who went out of their way for us - warm and so accommodating, Hotel is spacious and lovely, as are the rooms. An absolutely terrific Fitness Center with many duplicate workout machines. We used the Fitness Center every day and loved having it. Although we did not make use of the shuttle to and from the airport since we had our own car, we consider the shuttle a wonderful amenity. We would certainly stay here again, and plan to do it each time we visit family in the local area.
First I need an accessible room and whoever answered the phone had no idea what an accessible room was! After explaining what it was she said the only one they had was on the first floor. When we went to the room all I can say is, “Thank goodness I’m not in a wheelchair and have a walker!” The hallway was very small and the bathroom was ridiculously tiny!!!! The sink had no counter to even hold a toothbrush! Additionally it was very old and unappealing. The whole room was! The bed was uncomfortable. When we called the front desk to ask for something more they were unfriendly and said they could not help us. My husband is a Marriott Gold member and has stayed at many Marriotts. This was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had!!! I honestly feel that this hotel appears to discriminate against folks with disabilities! I would never recommend this Marriott to anyone!
Overall Im satisfied with my stay, but am a little disappointed with the no free breakfast like most hotels Ive previously stayed at. The rooms are also a little small and with no microwave. The beds are very comfortable and the cleaning services are very professional. There is an indoor outdoor pool and also courtyard area that is very nice and very spacious.
The staff were great. The crazy country is shut down, and we had to get in and out of Buffalo pretty quick. Although the hotel was mostly empty, and I only ever saw three staff members in three days, they took unusual measures to make sure that we were well taken care of. OK, so it wasnt flawless. There were a couple of little issues. But the staff reacted promptly and effectively to fix things, and I left there feeling they had well earned my business.
Big TV. Old hotel which wasnt very clean. Found someones shirt by the curtains by the window. Does not give me confidence in these times of covid. Also, heat didnt work. I was too tired to wait for them to look for maintenance to come and look at it so I turned on the shower at full heat and warmed the room that way. Havent been impressed with Marriott properties recently compared to Hilton and especially Hyatt. Their cleaning level varies greatly from hotel to hotel. No consistency at all.
I’ll start by saying the staff is great. Friendly, fun and attentive. However, the rooms are dirty. I check my room top to bottom and these rooms are just plain dirty. Under the beds are dust bunnies and under one of my beds even had a medicine measuring cup that had been left for god knows how long. The pool and gym are open and given the current COVID situation things just didn’t feel as clean or sanitized as they should. I watched the guy at the front desk touch the wine bottle to my already-drank-out-of glass when serving me another. Could do better!!!
We spent 5 nights which was a bit too long. We were with a group and had a buffet breakfast every morning. The food was essentially the same each day- eggs, home fries, a meat, and pancakes/french toast. This was fine the first two days but after that it all tasted the same. Yogurt, cereal, granola options, berries, all would have been welcome supplements. In addition, the beds and room were small. Double beds- not queen, and small room meant cramped quarters. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the pool and fitness center were all good/very good. Finally, it was a little pricey for what we got.
Upon arrival we were told that the concierge level access we had reserved and paid for was closed for our stay. We received breakfast vouchers and extra Marriott rewards points as a result of a complaint about the closure, and while this was a nice gesture didn’t really solve the problem, as I had paid for a service/amenity which was meant to enhance our experience which we didn’t get. There was chewed gum at the edge of the pool deck. Finally, three rooms alongside ours were extremely loud well past midnight. I have two little children who couldn’t sleep as a result. These rooms were blasting music and air horns and put the deadbolt between the door and frame so the door kept slamming as this group (of families it seemed - not school kids or anything like that). went between rooms all night. I contacted the front desk they were understanding and sent security up to the rooms but the people didn’t really quiet down at all and security never follows up. The staff were kind and accommodating, but the quality of the guests seemed to be beneath Marriott, as well as the other issues mentioned. I don’t know that a hotel has the ability to control who books a room or not, but it felt more like a cheap motel with loud obnoxious guests and less like a classy hotel.
The front desk staff were excellent. The bar stays open until 2 a.m. which is a nice feature. The bar staff were all wonderful. Unfortunately, one of the night security detail was a bit confrontational. We asked the bartender if the children could sit at a remote table and eat at about 11 in the evening. We were told this was fine. The security gentlemen then came over and was quite confrontational about the need for the children to leave. It could have been handled in a much nicer, gentler fashion. This gentlemans attitude was not at all reflective of the overall quality and attitude of the hotel staff.
I stayed one night for businessThe room was clean and the shower was hot. I like the room service breakfast option and the food was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Blue Grille food was good as well but the room service menu in the room was very limited and I could not find a menu online. When I called the number on the website it took me to the front desk who transferred me to the restaurant and then I had to ask if they offered what I wanted. Fortunately they did and the food was good. The back parking lot was a mess and needed to be plowed. It made it tough to bring luggage in and out.a few more outlets near the bed and USB ports would be a recommendationThe free wifi was open which is a little scary and it was limited. If I choose the Marriot in Buffalo on my next trip I would probably purchase the wifi/day for more security and less constraints.
Clean nice rooms, mattress in ours was a little worn. ( Sagged in the middle) Beware the breakfast buffet, the food is standard buffet fare, not bad. The shocker was the check, 15.00 per person! Way to many alternatives in the area with a much better breakfast to pay that much for just ok food. For the price of the stay breakfast should be discounted for guests. I would have been fine if the buffet was 8.00 and 15.00 for non guests.
My stay was good, the cleanliness was up to the mark. Staff was supportive. However we would appreciate if you could keep a few antibacterial hand soap dispensers and a small microwave in a king suite. Your king suite at least deserves a microwave and a couple of bottles of drinking water. It is particularly helpful to older guests who need warm water to drink up every now and then. We loved your restaurant, bartenders were friendly. And the price should include a breakfast , you may sensibly charge a little more for it or you could make it all inclusive and give a better deal on daily cost of stay by including the breakfast. But spending additional bucks for breakfast gets a little pricey. No problems with cleanliness at all, I was so concerned with bed bug issues but thankfully the rooms bathrooms were clean.
I recently traveled to Buffalo with my husband and 3 year old for a family reunion. The Marriott was the perfect place to relax between family functions. The room was updated and clean, with comfortable beds, The bathroom was a nice size and clean as well. The refrigerator was an adequate size to hold snacks and beverages. The free high speed internet was an added bonus for our visit. Although there was a lot of hotel traffic, we never had any noise issues with other travelers We especially enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool, which was clean and reasonably heated. The Marriott also had an up to date workout facility, which my husband and I both used. We will definitely be back.
The check in was so easy and the customer service was impeccable. I enjoyed the vast hotel and amenities, such as the pool and fitness center. Having Starbucks downstairs was awesome. The rooms were a decent size, clean and very modern. It was an all around great stay! I will definitely be back.
It wasnt terrible, I expected more for a Marriott. TV & internet connection at different times during my stay. I didnt find the bed comfortable but also didnt raise it to reception. Cleaning was spotty, some days done, some days not. Not really an issue except trash, those trash cans are very small. Room did have a small fridge which was super handy. Also had tea/coffee making facilities but didnt use. The elevators are a long way from reception & restaurant and depending which side you park it could be a long back & forth. My office is in the area so location is super good. There are plenty of shops and restaurant chains within 10-15 mins drive.
I like this Marriott. I rate the usually based on - service, concierge lounge (service, food, coffee), size and quality of the hotel gym, and finally the room. The rooms are good in almost all Marriotts some better than others. Service is good, what youd expect at most M hotels. The lounge was good too and the service was great. A few different snack options in the evening, including first a service of chicken then followed by pasta. Was nice to have options. Breakfast was the typical eggs, oatmeal, and bacon plus a couple extras - potatoes and sausage. Good coffee too, Starbucks I think. Great gym.
It was OK, nothing outstanding and nothing to complain about. The staff was nice , hotel clean and the pool was OK. The location was good, close to retail areas but you need to drive. The little snack bar in the lobby was very handy. Every hotel should have one of these.
The hotel was a nice surprise when you first get there it looks old and run down but inside is definitely up to Marriotts standards, it was surprisngly nice and modern my room was well deviated and the tv was a 42 inch newer television one the bigger ones Ive seen at a hotel. The staff were great and they have ever amniety you could ask my n only criticism would be that the restaurant seems to be open sporadically at odd hours and Every time I wanted something to eat they were unavailable however this could be because of the covid effect. This hotel is usually on the discount sites and definitely n worth the value.
Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were professional, friendly, and efficient. The rooms are okay, but, the bathrooms need an upgrade in that the showers should be stand-up with glass doors. Remove the tubs and nasty shower curtains. Food was great. Room service and restaurant staff were terrific also.
Basic rooms always clean and comfortable. Front desk helpful and courteous. Sometimes the crowds downstairs at the bar (whose prices are astronomical btw $17 burger? yeah right. Also since Buffalo is the birthplace of Buffalo wings... try not abusing the patrons with high prices instead lure them in with a good wing deal...
I have stayed at this hotel frequently this year. It is easy to get in and out of from the freeway. The staff is friendly and efficient. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Internet, HVAC, etc, work well. The room service is great compared to other major hotels and they dont automatically add in a delivery charge. Amazing! Food and setting in the conceirge lounge could be better, but overall this is a great place to stay in the northern Buffalo area.
The hotel is staffed with friendly and helpful team members. The most important thing for us is the cleanliness of the hotel room. The Marriott hotel room was very clean and neat and we felt very comfortable there. The bed/pillows weredreamy. We were a little disappointed in the breakfast buffet, food was not really up to expectations- mediocre. The Lobby Bar was enjoyable and did provide some really nice appetizer options for our group.
Hotel overall is nice. My co-workers and I definitely enjoyed the bar. Good drinks and options. The room was a little dated but otherwise clean. the gym is above average with options and machines/weights available. I took off one star for dated appearance and cost of breakfast. Way over-priced compared to literally every other hotel I have stayed in. That all said, I would be happy to stay here again next time I roll thru Buffalo.
Great, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Well stocked snack bar near main desk. The only thing I would add is to include more chairs in the long walk between the front desk and conference area. Food provided for the conference I attended was fresh and delicious! Conference room lighting, temperature and audio was very good.
Adding the following to my review....the dinner restaurant staff was very slow, 1 meal during my stay was during full capacity but the other in restaurant meal the restaurant was just about empty and the waitress never checked on me after receiving my meal and after finishing my meal (15 minutes) I had to search out another waitress to bring my bill. Not good service at all. I was very satisfied with the lady who served me for Room Service and the breakfast wait staff.I like the Marriott chain although the Amherst hotel and restaurant menu needs some updating. Overall my experience was good the Mother / Daughter waitress team at Breakfast were very good and accommodating. The front desk, Managers were great - at check in I arrived to the hotel in the morning and my preferred room was not available but I was offered an alternative for the night. I asked the front desk clerk (sorry did not get her name but she checked me in) if I could see the room and she said No there was no one available to show me the room. I thought this was odd and not typical, so I reminded her that this is a normal hospitality courtesy and she then went and asked the Manager to show me the room. He was very accommodating and said that I could be switch the next day into a preferred room for the remainder of my stay. I asked for my portfolio to be emailed the clerk acknowledged my email address but I have not received the bill. I login to Marriott.com to view my bill it would be great if the bill could be downloaded as a PDF so it can be easily attached to my expense report
A beautiful hotel with spacious, clean rooms. One of the best aspects of the hotel is the bar and lobby. The bar has great atmosphere and a few games to play solo or with (new) friends. The internet connection is strong and usable all through the hotel. Highly recommended. It would have received 5 stars, but they dont have classic arcade games. 😉 The pool is a blast.
I am big on informative customer service. Tim told Dave to check me in even though I checked in on the app. I had to wait for Dave to come out of the back which took a while to get checked in. They charge $35 per night incidental fee but was not told this prior to visit and its not on the website. I am not sure what the incidental was for since there was only refrigerator in the room. Everything else in the room was standard. The bathroom door and underneath vanity was extremely dirty. I was not greeted as an elite member or offered a bottle of water. My airport pick up was delayed despite calling and communicating this information on phone and app 12 plus hours prior to my arrival. Tim told me the pilots were picked up first and that I could call an uber, all this at 1:30 am. I was not given any information about breakfast options which changes on Sunday. The Marriott brand are normally independently owned do not live up to the other brand names. Ive tried them twice and very disappointed each time.
This hotel was okay. Far from being like other Marriotts I have stayed at. It definitely needs renovations. When I requested to be near an elevator because of mobility issues, I was given a room at the furtherest end of a hallway totally away from the elevator. This is a common sense issue. I had to be moved twice because they didnt understand I needed to be near an elevator. Elevators are way too far away from the lobby.
I’ve stayed at this property quite a few times and feel that overall quality has decreased. The weekend breakfast buffet had limited offerings and the buffet area was quite messy. Ate at the restaurant and it took forever to have a server stop by. This time around, the executive king room with sofa bed room itself was smaller, and not much space between sofa bed mattress and king bed.
Real disappointment!! Marriott name is something from the past. All dirty and the bathroom was the worst with dirty shower curtains.Only 2 towels for 3 persons on the room. All vending machines on the floors were depleted or out of order.I think motel 6 is a better option in this case!
Great location, right off the highway. Checking in was a very pleasant experience because of the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and carefully though out. Plenty of outlets with eas access. I would especially compliment our breakfast server, Grace. She was the most pleasant, efficient and thoughtful waitress I have ever had anywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We used to live in the area and were back while house hunting. The hotel is very welcoming. We were upgraded to the executive floor due to my status with Marriott Rewards. The room was average size and very well organized. The TV was huge and the view from the 10th floor was great. The Concierge lounge was wonderful with a hearty breakfast and snacks in the evening. There is an honor bar and the prices are very reasonable. The two ladies who run the lounge were wonderful! They made my husband and I feel welcome each time we entered the lounge. The lounge was spotless and well stocked. One of my complaints with some hotels was NOT an issue here. We never waited more than a minute or two for one of the 3 guest elevators. There was ample parking in the front and rear of the property (where the guest room elevators are). A few days there were big events at the conference center but even on those days we were able to find a space not too far from the building. I wish Marriott properties in the US would keep their lounge open 7 days a week. I dont like that they are closed from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. If planning a weekend getaway there is no incentive to reserving at a hotel with a concierge lounge. Of course that is company policy and should not be held against the Buffalo Marriott.
Room was clean and neat. Sheets clean and bed comfortable. Like, top 5 most comfortable beds Ive slept on. No complementary breakfast like other Marriotts Ive stayed at, just a good (but expensive) buffet and table service at the restaurant near the lobby. Overall very nice.
My stay at this hotel was great but watch out for extra charges. I booked this hotel with amex points but this still charged me $83 for no reason. Ive reached out 4 times over the phone so far but havent been able to get this resolved. Get your bill before you check out of this hotel so youre not surprised by anything.
My five-year-old and I attended the Disney Royal Princess ball at the hotel, and had a thoroughly lovely time. The event was well managed, but aside from that the staff at the hotel and the venue itself were very well-managed and very attractive. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would definitely look to the hotel for similar events in the future.
Like an apocalypse wasnt happening outside and the convenience of a drive thru testing center ,the Marriott had yellow bands warning of segregation at their gym. Clean place at least and the life hack of asking the chamber maid for coffee pods for the room rather than a starbucks at the front desk for $2 ,when the pods were starbucks I could make myself using free water bottles at reception. (Water from fountains also available)
Great place ,nice easy ride to the falls. Great pool area inside and outside. Excellent breakfast made to order omelette and many side items. Bed was unreal very comfortable after a busy day. And last but not least the staff went above and beyond to make your stay the best.
Great hotel experience. Id say one of the best Ive ever been to. They helped with our bags before we could even grab a cart, took them to our room. Were knowledgeable about the whole city and what breweries to travel to. Couldnt have asked for a better experience especially during New Years when it was freezing cold. Cheers!
We stayed at the Marriott for our sons Hockey Tournament. The whole hotel was booked with hundreds of teenage hockey players, but you wouldnt know it. It was well maintained, clean, organized. The restaurant in the lobby was delicious and the snack bar had the essentials. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. Ive always loved Marriott and as always, they didnt disappoint. The only thing I have to say, which is just the way travel works, is it definitely was overpriced for our weekend, which is to be expected for the Tournament Weekend.
The room was very nice and very clean. The housekeeping staff was really great. However, the front desk staff was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. I have never interacted with a less hospitable hotel staff. They guaranteed an early check-in for 2 pm, and when we arrived at 2, they told us not only was the room unavailable, but refused to call us when it was. They yelled at several guests, and didnt attempt to hide scorn from their voices when special requests were made. One staff person yelled at one of our parents for bringing in food to eat and eating in an unmarked hallway. This person was so rude, that several kids cried, and my own child asked to change hotels. Several families had reserved rooms with double beds, only to arrive to find they had been given a a single king bed, these families had 4 or more people and were not given enough sleeping space. The hotel staff never apologized but instead told families it was just too bad and they could do nothing. They hotel was fully booked, so was busy, but the bookings were not a surprise, and the rudeness was uncalled for. I will never stay here again, and I encourage everyone else to find another place to stay. There are many lovely hotels in the area. This is not one.
It was ok. You walk in and the lobby is clean and well lit with a dining area off on your left and the check in on the right. The staff were quite pleasant but thats where the greatness ended. I walked past all pool and conference rooms to the elevators at the other end of the hotel. I didnt know until later how obnoxious is would be to pass the conference rooms or Wade through crowds of people to get to the pool. The room was nice with a good selection of channels. There is a nice section that makes it look like you can plug in a laptop of Xbox but it didnt work for me. Also tons of literature everywhere about how they want you to rate them 9 or 10 and to contact them to fix anything so you dont give a bad review. I had a few issues and call me old fashioned but I miss the days when things just went right and you didnt have to complain to get a proper experience. I could go on but suffice it to say It was a solid 3 star experience. If you are hoping for better than 3 star dont go here.
May 20 and 21st 2016. The outside pool area was very attractive, however issues with bugs and leaves in the pool were not addressed as promised. Being a non-smoker, the outside cigarette receptacle that was overfull and on fire with nasty smoke coming out of it was offensive. The rooms are very neat, clean and functional. The double beds are way too small for two adults. Overall a very nice stay. However, the cost of the room per night was not in proportion of the quality of the hotel. The cost of the room was a bit high
Dont Expect Breakfast & Be Careful When You Order Room Service! Room Service did not write down our number so after an hour, we called and had to basically re-order. Then burger came with no condiments and was not the greatest. If food is not an issue for you, you would do fine staying there. The room was clean and well kept.
Good location, large parking lot, easy to access. Room service was delivered quickly, and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The bathroom was a bit small, and the door opened awkwardly blocking the toilet and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, a good experience.
Don’t plan on putting anything in the refrigerator . We went with three couples three separate rooms and they were all warm . Had to go to several floors to get ice . Don’t bother calling the front desk no one answers . The pullout couch was very uncomfortable and the sheet was stained.
Clean (look and smell) and okay if you get a good rate. The heating appliance was noisy, the beds are only okay, the pillows not great either. The gym has everything for basic workouts, the pool is average.Great location, great parking, overall makes it an okay place to stay for one or more nights.
Nanna rode with us in the car all the way from Ohio. We stopped here halfway so we could all rest and the kids could swim. Second time Ive stayed here. The staff was wonderfully accommodating. Had to ask a few times for adjoining rooms because, bless his heart, the kid at the desk didnt seem to understand. But they emptied all our luggage from the car and delivered it to our rooms, then helped us move rooms so they were together and not down the hall. The pool was nice. Theres a bar and restaurant here, though Ive never gone in. Its convenient to about a thousand delivery food places which is nice. Good place to stay.
Never stayed here, but have been to many meetings and seminars and the staff had always created a memorable experience. Obviously food is part of these events and from breakfast to lunch its always been decent. Someone told me they may still offer gym/ pool memberships
Staff were fantastic with the kids during the tournament weekend. It can be so frustrating to stay in hotels with team events, and staff ensured there was area dedicated for play and kept the kids focused on that areas they could go & then there was NO issue with them in the hallways! Awesome work - positive reinforcement with the boys! (and some of the adults)I think staff handled what is usually a stressful time, with class and humor! Excellent work!
We have stayed at Buffalo Marriott Niagara a couple of times and loved it each time. It is close to our daughters campus and it very cleaned. The staff is one of the best staffs that we have experienced, they make sure your stay is enjoyable. The restaurant and the bar is wonderful, and the staff there is so friendly. A great stay every time
The location and service were great, and the room was neat and clean. It was a pleasant enough stay. The amenities were limited, the pool was small and the restaurant and in room dining options were few; however the food was good. The elevators smelled foul though and the hot tub was out of order. For the room rate it wasnt very good.

2022-06-19My stay was just okay. 🤷🏻♂️Nice but somewhat dated typical Marriott feel. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, whether at the front desk, restaurant or exec lounge - all service was superb. Rooms were well appointed. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure and temp.My main complaint was lack of soundproofing. I could hear everything….and I mean everything. Every door that opened in my hallway. Every word my neighbors said. Every sneeze. Everything. I’ll allow you to fill in the rest of those details. And while the service in the exec lounge was great, the food options were almost laughable.I would stay again but wouldn’t be my first pick.

2022-02-16Hotel is definitely showing its age and could use some updating. Staff was incredibly pleasant &welcoming. Room was comfortable, definitely on the cooler side compared to the hallway/lobby. Wallpaper was coming down in spots &found empty liquor bottles scattered in the closet/on the floor.

2022-04-20It was clean and bed was comfortable. Had coffee and tea available in room. This Marriott is older and in need of updating. It’s not as nice as other more modern Marriott I’ve stayed at. I only had 1 washcloth in room and water took forever to get hot in shower. But room was clean and I had no problems staying there. The rate for this Marriott was lower then other Marriott, so I felt I got my moneys worth.

2022-06-23Dont forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure wont regret it.I was UB student. I brought my parents for the weekend for a short visit. The rooms are clean and immaculate. The staff is very adjusting and cooperative. They allowed early check-in and provided a really good service. I would highly recommend this place for stay. It is also reasonable priced if you book in advance. I paid $153 for a 1 night stay for 1 king room.

2022-05-13Where do I even begin with this awful place? Rooms and facilities were pretty basic. Nothing special, a little dated, but nothing to complain about. The trouble starts and ends with the staff and the (lack of) service. On our second day we ventured into the lobby to look for breakfast. We found what we thought was a serve-yourself continental breakfast. There was no one at the counter to seat us, no menu or signage whatsoever. Just a simple little buffet line with guests serving themselves the usual continental fare - yogurts, some fruit, a bagel, some catering dishes of scrambled eggs and bacon, etc. We put some breakfast on our plates and sat down. A gentleman finally came over and poured us a cup of coffee. We took a few bites of the food and immediately decided that we would need to go elsewhere for breakfast - everything was cold and dried out. It was nearly inedible. We hated to waste the food, but it was just so terrible. No big deal, well just head somewhere else and pay for a decent meal. Thats when the same gentleman came over and dropped a $57 bill on our table. It turns out this cold, bland continental breakfast wasnt free at all. Even the crummy cup of coffee the man poured us ran us $3.75. When I brought it up with the manager, Paul, I was told that I was the only person who had EVER complained about the breakfast and that a buffet style breakfast like that is NEVER free. Im sorry Paul, but you are mistaken. Im not sure if youve ever traveled outside of Buffalo, but Ive been all over the world and 9 times out of 10 a simple breakfast like yours is included in the cost of the hotel stay. If it isnt, that is made VERY clear and you have a server, a hostess, a menu...at the very least a simple SIGN with the price of the breakfast displayed on it for your guests information. Oh, and usually that free breakfast is edible. Gaslight all you want, but you arent convincing me this was all our fault. To top off the weekend, my 88-year-old grandmother was snarled at by a kitchen employee who needed to move her vehicle from the handicapped lane near the entrance so that my grandmother could get out of the car with her walker. Her exact words were, Do you need this spot? Oh Jesus Christ!, while rolling her eyes at us. While parked in the handicapped zone. Absolutely unbelievable. We will never stay at this location again, and honestly, I will think long and hard about giving ANY Marriott my business again if there is any other nearby option.

2022-06-20Super comfy bed, room was very clean. Good water pressure in the bathroom, big TV, no weird surprised in the microwave.Would definitely stay here again if Im in the area.Only complaint is that the room didnt have any handsoap or hand towels when we checked in, but based on the size of this place housekeeping deserves a shoutout because I would NOT be able to keep up with them with how many rooms are here.

2022-01-11Nice place, needs a little bit of a facelift. Also, would be good if the 10th floor lounge was back open. No soap at the bathroom, I used the app to request it was not acknowledged, seems they don’t use/monitor it. If you are a Marriott’s member, make sure you are receiving your benefits, they don’t give you options for breakfast or for have the lounge closed, no welcome points, etc. Know your benefits beforehand and reclaim them. Breakfast is not good at all, take points instead.

2022-03-19Stayed here while visiting U at Buffalo. Super convenient and close to the university.Rooms were nice however the trash wasnt emptied from the guests before us. Thankfully it was just a few bottles of water and soda.Check in had friendly people but its a long walk from check in to the elevators so leave your bags in the car to check in, then get back in your car and drive to the back lot where you can park much close to where the elevators are.

2022-04-10I have to say I was seriously impressed with the Staff and the hotel itself. Wow, blew me out of the water!Traveling not too far away about and hourish.... I have stayed at other places that were supposed have been really nice, with a continental breakfast, unfortunately they didnt follow through and had trash bags left in their hallways. The Buffalo Marriott Niagara was beautiful from the moment you walked in. The lighting and friendly worker and the rooms was more than I could expect. Their bar, this had not just chicken wings, they have beautiful meals as well. They were way above fast food quality and bar food. I felt as if I was in a five star hotel. The food was amazing and plentiful. They have a nice snaking station in the main lobby, great in the morning or for a late night snack. The vending machines werent working on two of the floor I went too.. Ice machines were also out of order. I am not surprised ... This is a common theme at every place I have stayed at!The rooms were very clean, great size for what we needed. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries, an extra towels. They kindly had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in large bottles in the bathing area attached to the wall. The hallway has beautiful painting and photographs. My favorite are the falls and fireworks. The plants in the hallway are beautiful too. I didnt know if they were real or not either way photo worthy!I would definitely come back for a stay.
