I live in a older home and get mice during the winter. If you’re considering the big name places like Orkin or Terminix don’t. They quoted me $500 for rodent prevention which isn’t even guaranteed. So glad I called these guys, the employee was very honest and personable. He took the time to explain the situation and how the company doesn’t just “milk” customers for money. I don’t think I’ll have to worry about pest again but I would totally recommend these services. Save your money! Go local!
We have a terrible bee and stink bug problem in the area that we live and had called a different exterminator to handle the problem which they did not. We ended up with bees in our house and stink bugs as well. We then called Bugs Bee Gone and we haven’t had a single problem with bees since and have cut down our stink bugs by more than half! Usually I’ve seen some in our house by now and I haven’t seen a single one. Mike is awesome and gets the job done. He goes out of his way to make sure we get the service requested and never disappoints. We recommend Bugs Bee Gone to everyone we know. They are by far the best!

We had to use this service for a flea issue we were having. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the fact that the second time they came out, the man started to spray while my mother in law was still in the home. My mother in law is an older woman and she was already coughing before she got out. The man claimed he forgot his mask at home and didnt wear one either (to each there own) but it would have been nice to know so I could let my mother in law know before coming. Otherwise, everyone else was helpful and friendly. Very affordable as well.

They did a great job getting rid of a large bald-faced hornets nest that was in our lilac bush. The technician was very polite and professional, and I was impressed with how calmly he handled a volatile hornets nest. We’re planning to sign up for their annual property treatment next spring. I also thought the price for taking care of the nest was extremely fair. I would definitely recommend this business.
I called Bugs Bee Gone about a bee issue by my front door. I had around 5-10 bees coming inside the house per day. The woman who answered was extremely helpful and informative. She was able to schedule the owner, Glen, to come out the very next day. He arrived on time and treated the issue by the door as well as walked around my house and sprayed another area on my roof. After he left, I noticed about 5-7 bees still coming into the house per day by my bathroom. After the 5th day, I called up again and Glen came back out. This time bees were coming through my bathroom exhaust fan. He treated the area and did not charge any extra since he has a 90 day guarantee policy and stuck to his word. This was 2 weeks ago and we havent had a single bee in the house! Glen was awesome to deal with. His prices are extremely fair and he took the time to inspect all areas of my house. I am so glad that I called Bugs Bee Gone! I called looking for assistance with one wasp nest and treatment for carpenter ants. When I called someone picked up the phone quickly and scheduled a technician to come to my home the following day. I was pleasantly surprised when later the same day Cameron from Bugs Bee Gone called to say he would be available to come that evening instead of the following day if I’d like. When Cameron arrived he very quickly noticed not just one wasp nest around my house but five total! Cameron was very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough - before he left we could see how well the wasp treatment was working already! The following morning, I haven’t seen any wasps flying in or out of what used to be very busy nests! Cameron also recommended that it was best to come back another day to treat for Carpenter ants due to weather - he easily could have just done the treatment that night but he wanted to provide the very best service so suggested that he come back on a drier day. We had preventative bee spraying of our house since we tend to have issues with bees and wasps, and in just one day there have been markedly fewer bees buzzing around our problem areas. Bugs Bee Gone Pest Control arrived promptly to take care of bees that prohibited the painters from working! Chris answered the phone when I called, juggled the schedule and within a few hours Glen arrived to take care of the bees. I happened upon this company after trying to reach other companies. Most exterminating companies arent even picking up the phones right now as they are swamped with calls. My only option was to leave a message and hope for a call back. I called Bugs Bee Gone Pest Control to remove an exorbitant amount of bees that had entered my homes roof soffit. Stacey answered my call, quoted me a price 1/2 of what competitors quoted me, and coordinated a fast service call. Stacey was really nice, professional and very understanding. I immediately new I was dealing with a family owned business, because her service was amazing. She even accommodated my work schedule.When Luis arrived for the service call, he was exactly the same. Excellent and prompt service. I had a Yellow Jacket nest where our deck meets the house. Yellow Jackets were actually starting to get into our basement through a small crack between the foundation and wall bottom plate. I called Bugs Bee Gone on a Saturday and Glenn responded within 2 hours. He treated the nest and by the next day most activity was gone. In three days time, I saw no more activity at the nest. Glenn stopped them in their tracks. I highly recommend this service.
This is second time having Glenn come to my house. Last year was for bees in 3 different places and this year for preventive spraying. He was on time, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommended him.
These people really had no respect for us or our time. One of your employees showed up one whole hour earlier than the expected 2-hour time window and got annoyed that I wasnt there (called me up and was rude on the phone), even though he was the one who got the time wrong. I had to rush back from my work but when I got there he was done and had left. Another of your employees basically showed up at the house without even making an appointment (and of course, I wasnt there again, so he was also rude and condescending to me on the phone, even though he never confirmed an appointment with me). You cant just show up at someones house whenever you like and expect people to be home. It is not considerate. People have classes and work and other things going on in their lives. Its not that hard to make an appointment with a customer and to just show up within the expected 2-hour window when you know someone will actually be there. If you are going to be early or late, at least have the consideration to communicate with your customers. Its honestly not that difficult, which is why Im stunned that this happened twice when we hired these people.Also, the exterminators didnt honestly seem that knowledgeable. They seemed to think that the flea infestation was caused by a hitchhiker situation where a cat or dog (or a person???) lived in my apartment while I was away, which makes absolutely no sense, as my apartment was locked for 2 months while I was on winter break. The fleas must have been coming from squirrels that lived in the roof - even I know that, and Im not an exterminator. Its just basic common sense. At the moment, the fleas are gone now, even though it took them 3 tries to get rid of them.... anyway, Im quite surprised by all the positive reviews. My landlord and I agreed that we will never hire these people again as they have failed several times to respect us and our time.
I called them on a Saturday afternoon because my girlfriend and I were concerned that her bug bites were from bed bugs instead of just mosquitos. He was very responsive and understanding. He came over to our place ON A SUNDAY, which I dont know any other company that would consider doing such a thing. He was attentive to our concerns and he inspected our bedroom area thoroughly, but quickly, and was very communicative about everything he was seeing and looking for as he conducted his business. Luckily there were no bed bugs, but I will 100% be calling them if I ever have any problems with bugs while I live in the Syracuse area.

Hired on a Saturday and Glenn was at my house treating the wasps nest in my wall that afternoon. He was here for about 30 mins and covered all of the nest entrances and exits. He mentioned it would take about a day before the nest was dead, the nest was dead in under 2 hours after he left. Would definitely recommend, he was also very reasonably priced, especially considering it was a weekend call.

This was my 2nd year for spraying for bees. I was having a major bee issue for years and finally decided to try a company to spray,cause none of the household sprays were helping. I had the carpenter bees which were destroying all the wood around my house cause they drilled holes in it. When I called for pricing, the woman was very friendly and had all information I was requesting. They said someone would be in our area the next day and could come by our house around dinner time to take care of our bee situation. Mike called to let me know he was about an hour away and was here well before dinner time which was awesome. Fast and inexpensive experience. The gentleman who came was so kind and caring.We had a Yellowjacket wasp hive In the siding by our bedroom window. I talked to the owners son today. Thats who he said he was. Quote was $1,200 for a two family in Syracuse with 3 bedrooms each. I offered $800 cash. He held firm at $1,200, which is fine and professional. He told me I could talk to his dad and hear the same thing. Also fine. When I explained that I had spoken with others who said the price seemed high, he said fine, have a nice day and left. Company did me solid on an inspection a few months ago . . . highly professional, and I paid a premium--voluntarily--for just an inspection. That was then. This is now.After negotiating with the son today, who trashed the competition (everyone else is more expensive, apparently) and took an arrogant--then petulant position-- I cant rate professionalism as a strong point of todays interaction. In fact, I would strongly recommend second opinions for anyone dealing with this company. I know they have to cover advertising costs, and I want to support local family businesses, but this left a bad impression.Maybe the son just had a bad day, but he could have countered at $1,000 and walked out with cash. Even then, its a lot of money. I will eat crow if I cant get it done myself. Update to follow.

When I called about my problem, the first thing that impressed me was that they were concerned about anyone being in danger. Glenn was prompt and efficient. Ive used Ehrlich and Orkin over a 2 year period, with many months at a weekly service, only to be left with an untreated, unresolved issue.BBB in 60 days has all but eradicated both issues we had. Without a doubt Bugs Bee Gone is the best pest control service in Central NY. Thorough, professional, they dont mess around and they get the job done. BBG will not try pushing unnecessary services like other companies do. Last week I called them about bees under my porch and in the roof soffit. Glenn showed up later that day took care of the bees in the soffit and made suggestions that I could easily follow that would save me money in the future concerning the bees under the porch. Couple years ago, while we were entertaining relatives from out of town, I discovered a well established bees nest in the ground next to the driveway. Called them, Glenn showed up a little later and permanently eradicated the hive, and during his inspection found, and took care of, another hive on the house that I never had noticed. In many ways bed bugs can affect our physical and mental health more than many afflictions treated by physicians. Unfortunately, major universities do not grant degrees in bed bug extermination and if we experience a possible bed bug problem and Google local exterminators we find no reference to academic degrees but only to ads, self-promoting websites, sparse reviews, and YouTube videos.The latter in particular, reveal the calling of bed bug extermination to be rife with charlatans, and grifters who are worse than the bed bugs they purport to control. In short, the most demanding due diligence in searching for bed bug extermination still results in a high degree of uncertainty.Such was my lot this week when Glenn Stewart, the proprietor of Bugs Bee Gone, promptly responded to my call for bed bug assistance. My trepidation was blessedly short lived. I found Glenn gracious, considerate, experienced, exceedingly knowledgeable about bed bugs, and, not least, an exemplar of honesty and integrity.I phoned him because I had experienced a few bites in bed that I attributed to bed bugs and I found a small brown object resembling a bed bug casing. Glenn immediately informed me that my small brown object was not a casing and that my bites, by their nature and location, were more likely to be spider bites. He meticulously examined my pillow, sheets, blanket, mattress, and box springs, and found scant trace of bed bugs. He recommended some spider spray and asked me to phone him again if my problem was not soon resolved.Glenns inspection was free but he could easily have told me that I was suffering from bed bugs and thereby profit from an unnecessary extermination procedure. I am sure many exterminators would have taken the self serving course. Glenn, however, placed a higher premium on honesty than on profit, attesting not only to his commanding knowledge of bed bug extermination but also to his decency and integrity.In sum, if you believe you have a bed bug problem, I highly recommend Bugs Bee Gone, and Glenn Stewart, a man of exceptional competence and character.Karl M. Very disappointed with this business. Appointment was for 3:30. Fella that was coming to get rid of my ground bees called me earlier in the day to say he would be here at 4:00. Then he calls at 3:30 saying he is confused about his schedule and has other jobs to finish that will take 2 more hours. I told him that I had some errands and gave him my cell phone number for when he was close. I do not like to give out my cell phone number for business calls that is what the house phone is for. But I gave it to him so the bees would be gone. Was gone an hour and what did I find on my door!!! A Sorry I Missed You notice timed at 4:00!!!!!!!! Saying I needed to reschedule! No call on my phone, no message on the house phone. I called to make a complaint and was hoping for an appology and a discount of some sort but just was told that the set price was $150 for one nest and there was nothing she could do!!! I was bitten numerous times which is why I needed the bee control. I am upset this is becoming such an issue. Will not use this company.

A week after they supposedly killed my ground bees, I was stung near my eye, on my hand and chased into my house while mowing the lawn. They have not returned my call.

He addressed the issue, was reasonably priced, and I’m very impressed! With so many services taking long times since the pandemic, Mike and this company did the opposite…call them!

2022-05-24This is our 4th year receiving services and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner Glen today, in the past we always had Mike who did a great as well. He came out and did a very thorough job and was very personable. He explained what can attract the bad bees and where they can kinda hide. The prices are very good and we have only noticed about a $10 to $15 price hike each year which is to be expected especially during these times.

2022-07-27My neighbor pointed out a fairly large wasp nest in a tree on my property. I called Bugs Bee Gone Monday, by Tuesday afternoon the nest was gone! Cameron came and explained every step of the process, even explained the differences between bees, wasps and hornets. Cameron was polite and professional and clearly takes pride in his work. They will be my go-to exterminator should I need anything in the future!

2022-08-05I had Bugs Bee Gone perform a yellow jacket service at my home. I chose them based on internet reviews and I couldn’t be more pleased. They came out the same day I called, the service was reasonable and very noticeably effective. While I’m mostly a do-it-yourselfer, this is one worth hiring out. Their knowledge, professional grade chemicals and equipment are far superior to anything a homeowner could purchase. I plan to have them perform an annual service rather than make my annual Mecca to the local hardware store to buy countless cans of bee foam with mediocre results. These guys rock, thanks Mike!!!

2022-07-23Glen came on a Saturday because there was a mix up on Friday and nobody came. At any rate, I showed him where the bees were by the pool and he dusted them. He explained that the bees would come home and that would be it for them. He did not charge me extra for coming on Saturday, when they were closed. The work is guaranteed for the rest if the year. I was very pleased with this company!

2022-08-01I called Bugs Bee Gone this morning. They told me they may be able to get to me today but weren’t sure. If not it would be two days and this point a couple days didn’t matter. They squeezed me and the gentleman that showed up was polite, professional and explained exactly what was going on with the bees and give it a couple days. If I still see any activity to call them and they would be back at no charge. I really appreciated them squeezing me in. Thank you!

2022-08-07We had yellow jackets coming into our house. Found out they were coming in from the gas fireplace because they had built a nest in the empty space of the chimney. Mike came over and described what was happening and immediately took action. Literally by the end of the day they were Gone!!! We are so happy with the response time, knowledge and service from Mike and the company! We highly recommend Mike and Bugs Bee Gone if you have a bee problem!

2022-04-22I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance, and then they simply didnt even show up, and didnt call me or anything. When I called, they told me they are on their way. Two hours later and no one showed up so I called again, and the second person I spoke with said that they couldnt come due to weather. The weather today was sunny, not windy and essentially perfect.This company is extremely unresponsive, not professional, doesnt really know what they are doing since they didnt even know what service I was getting, and every time you call you will get different information about what is happening.Very frustrating being at home all day waiting for them for nothing, one of the worse service experiences I have ever hard.
