Built Well Solar in Bellmore is truly the Best Solar Company on Long Island. They were a pleasure to work with and go beyond explaining and installing solar. Being in the field for as long as they have allows them to know the process inside and out. Everything is explained so there are no surprises. We trusted their recommendations and everything worked out wonderfully.I highly recommend Built Well Solar of Bellmore.
Seemed like very nice people, but unfortunately this is a business that has left me hanging for 6 months. My solar loan was approved in the spring, and they still have not completed the job. I gave a deposit, which is the only reason I havent just gone to another company. The owner responds to my texts promising to make it right, but its been over a month of that promise, and still no solar panels. I wish I never made that deposit.
Built well installed my solar panels over ten year ago was a good company then. The First time my inverted broke could not contact company. The phone number posted on wed went to an employee who was no longer with the company and they never checked that voice mail box. Inverter broke again 3 months out of warranty after 4 or 5 voice mail they finally sent someone to look at it. After two days I had to call them for a status (you would think they would call). Told me it was broken and was checking with Inverter manufacturer to see if it is better to repair or replace. 3 weeks now and will not return call. Frustrating part of this is that manufacturer will not deal with homeowner. Finally got manufacturer to agree if I give them the serial unit number they would tell me a replacement model I can order on ebay. Had to give one star just to allow me to post review.
Built Well installed my home solar 7 years ago. The panels are a sleek black and not the eyesore you see on some homes . The system continues to generate power trouble free.. I highly recommend..
I’ve been a customer for over 10 years.. while nowadays everyone is a solar contractor Built Well is a true pioneer.. they know their business, stand behind their work and since they are a local company are extremely responsive to customer needs. Highly recommend..
I previously had left a bad review because of a misunderstanding. I got a call from someone at Build Well Solar. They apologized for the misunderstanding. If they end up doing the critter guard installation I want, Ill update my review again.
Built Well installed my system at least ten years ago. When it stopped working they came, eventually, and told me I needed critter guards, haven’t heard from them in at least five years thoug I called a ridiculous number of times. Five years, zero output from my system. I’m trying now to get another company to come do the repairs.
Love my solar energy system. Built Well Solar delivered everything they promised. Now I look forward to seeing my $12 electric bill every month. I dont know why everyone doesnt do this!

2022-01-19Let me start by saying if you have already looked into Built Well Solar, stop and do not waste your time going anywhere else. As someone that was part of family owned businesses, it was refreshing to see the attentiveness received from Nancy & Dan. Working with the owners of the company rather than just a sales person made me very comfortable and every question, even ones other companies may have felt were trivial, were answered to my satisfaction and I am an engineer by trade. I wont mention the other solar companies I researched but aside from my previous statements, Built Well was also cheaper. Many decisions have to be made about our properties and this one, by far, is one I am extremely glad I made.

The crew showed up on time, were very professional kept me apprised of their progress. When they finished they cleaned the area extremely well, would recommend Built Well very highly

The crew that was scheduled to arrive at my house was prompt, very professional and neat.I highly recommend this company.

2019-08-06I had Built Well Solar install solar panels on my home 3 years ago and I couldnt have been happier with the installation. It was done in a very professional manner from the beginning to the end of the job. Since then I needed to expand the system because my usage increased and Dan and his team were extremely accommodating. Any time I have a question regarding the system or need assistance they are right there for me. If you are considering solar you cant go wrong with Built Well.

Because they’re the first Long Island solar company, in business for about 20 years, they know everything about local solar electrical codes and requirements. And, they really treated us like family. Our solar energy system looks great, better than any others we’ve seen, and is saving us so much money now we look forward to getting our PSEG bills every month! On Long Island, the cost of living is crazy, and our solar savings helps a lot!

2019-06-25I purchased a 4.2 KW system from Builtwell Solar in 2008. They were very professional and have answered any questions I have had since that installation. I love having a $12 and change bill every month. l am in the process of moving to another state and Dan and Nancy are even helping me decide how much value this system adds to the value of my home. Take it from someone who knows, own your system rather than rent and Builtwell Solar is the way to go.

2019-06-26Dan and his team set me up with Solar panels 5 years ago. They have long since paid for themselves and I now get a check from LIPA not the other way around. Installation was painless and follow up was on point. They continue to monitor and make sure we are always up and running. Solar is the way to go. Built Well charges a fair price and does the job the right way. Not much else I can say except go for it you wont be sorry...

2016-11-05I pride myself in being a shopper! I spend time finding the best price for quality goods and services. When we planned for a Solar installation, we had five different salesmen visit with us. Three of them were from the big name companies.It took very little time to realize that Built Well Solar was the absolute best choice. For starters, their pricing is quite competitive. They would not be undersold by any of the companies, large or small. But, the deal maker was the great people at Built Well. Dan Sabia, the President, is extremely knowledgeable. And, he is a friendly and patient nice guy who walked us through everything! As we went through the installation, we worked with Nancy in Dans office and his great team of installers. They are all caring community people.We have already saved a great deal on electric bills. And, we could not have dealt with finer people!

Not only did they do a great job installing the proper size solar equipment, but Dan and Nancy were extremely helpful with all the paperwork that had to be filed for the rebates and permits, etc. If youre looking for solar panels, go to Built Well, they know their stuff and they do a great job.
