Great cozy spot in the heart of St. Marks. Music selection is good for any meet up or after work kinda vibe. Ive been doing both for a few years. Pools got decent space to play but I wish they would get a valid darts setup. That plastic pos is whats the 4 stars is for. Anywho, drink selection is great, though I havent tried cocktails like that. Im more of a whisky beer kinda guy. Great for meeting new people and having a good time if you stay for a drink or too.. haha. Thanks
No frills bar on St Marks. We ended up here Halloween night. Music was good and there was a good mix of non-pretentious people. Noticed the electric dart board, which was a nice touch. Would definitely head back if I was in that area, but wouldnt say this is a place to head over specifically to go to. Theres a lot in that area though, so would think it would be easy to bump into this spot again.

Went the other night, made a new friend with the blonde guy, Andrew. Such a chill guy, not even to just me but everyone he serves. Hes fast and professional with what he does. Great Long Island ice tea I had over there too
My friends came in to the city from Florida, I got there late and I just wanted to buy them a shot before they left. The bartender was too busy chatting up some regulars to ever come and get my order even after acknowledging me she never came back to get my order and my friends finally said forget it we have to go. So my evening was stifled by just not being able to get proper service there. Needless to say I probably will never be back.
Fun place to grab a beer although it does attract many drunk kids, so watch out for the crowd. Was here on halloween and had fun although wanted to get out pretty quickly. The drinks were strong but the crowd was rather weird.. maybe it was just halloween costumes, but everyone was wasted and the place looked pretty destroyed. Convenient outside area though, so grab a seat outside if the weather is good.
This small pub is hanging in there I see. Not cheap, a bit run-down. They do have friendly bartenders (the ones Ive seen are legit Irishmen) and a pool-table. Theres really no reason to make it a point to go here unless you cant drag yourself away from St. Marks for whatever reason.

I kinda feel like we ruined this place a little, being tourists, but it was an awesome place to just chill (outside seating area) on our way back from a restaurant. Very cool and laid-back. On a great street to observe the local flavor and solve the worlds problems over suds.
A nice place. If you stay in the area, its excellent to end the evening before going to sleep. The music is good and the barmen are cool. Numerous drinks are available, as for me, I drank many of bud ... :o))

Very low keyBring a bunch of friends as the pool table is hogged by the same two ladies. It would be worth it to come and watch games on the big screens and chat a little.
Cool bar with a local . Pub feel. Drinks are a little pricy considering the normal price for the area but if youre looking for a quiet place to sit and talk youll be hard pressed to find a more chill atmosphere.
Cannot think of this place without thinking about Motor City James (RIP). Great bartender and East Village legend. Im glad Bull McCabes keeps his memory alive with its annual memorial cookout.
An old favorite of mine. Very relaxed environment. The backyard is great during the summer time. A single pool table is unfortunately too close to the restrooms.

Your run-of-the-mill semi-dive bar on St. Marks. Service is what you would expect from a place like this (not great, not horrible), and the crowd varies depending on the day. During the week, its a bit more laid back, and on Fridays and Saturday is can get a bit rowdy. Like a few others have said - this isnt really a destination bar, but not a bad place to check out if youre in the area and curious.
I cant even begin to explain how amazing this place is. The staff. The drinks. The atmosphere! Everything is amazing! Dave is the greatest bartender.
Nothing but positive to say about Bulls, pre or post Covid19. The bartenders will definitely take care of you regardless and hopefully they are somehow able to pull through this pandemic.
Happy hr specials are $4 bud lights etc...not cheap at all but an old school low key irish pub...$7 shots of jameson pickleback....one of the few places open till 4am in area

By far the best tasting Guinness Ive had in the US...and Ive had a lot of them! The patio is great, especially if youre into people watching!

Descent pub, thought it was happy hour based on the signs but the bartender told us otherwise. Not a bad spot for a pint.

Never really had to complain about this at an Irish pub before, but the drinks seemed watered down - the bartender added additional tequila to my drink - still tasted watered down. come on, guys.

2017-01-31Nice low key bar with decent priced drinks. Staffs are friendly and nice, and if you catch them have a good day they might give free shots. Atmosphere feels like a dive bar but comfortable for casual drinking. Overall great bar.

2018-03-05Great little watering hole. They have a great selection of both alcohol and beers to choose from. My husband only like IPAs and craft beers and they some he liked. The prices are good, reasonable, and service has been great both times we were here. I absolutely loved my Jamesons Hot Toddy! Im sure we will visit again as this is now my go too place while in this area of East Village.

2019-09-16Very positive experience at Bull McCabes. I came here during happy hour with a friend. We had picklebacks for $8 each and then proceeded to play pool with some friendly lads in the back. This is a quiet bar and perfect for meeting a friend after work. Bring quarters for some billiards entertainment!!!!
