Had a great time! Perfect date with the husband. Definitely got a workout so be prepared to get tired after a while. Games were fun, got competitive. Our axe master Alexandra was great, very friendly. Staff here are cool and laid back. Great time for all. They also allow outside food and non alcoholic drinks. They sell beer and wine and potato chips. Will come again.
Made a reservation with a friend on a chill Tuesday evening. It wasn’t crowded. Thankfully our instructor, Danny, had time to continuously help up out with our form and other tips. Time for lots of practice and many games too! As a person who’s socially anxious, I definitely felt very comfortable here. Even though not everyone can be a natural, sometimes it’s embarrassing to fail publicly. All around I was super comfortable, had an awesome time, and learned a thing or two. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
This was my first time axe throwing and it was honestly one of the best experiences ever. Danny was my instructor and he was amazing!! He really paid attention to me and continously gave me tips to improve. There was time for my party to both practice and play some competitive games. Whether you want to come here to have fun or genuinely learn and make it big, Danny is your guy. Would recommend this place and I will definitely be visiting again!!
Went with a friend to the Brooklyn location. We had a great experience and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our instructor, Cynthia , was so kind and patient with us. Rating this place 5/5 due to the great experience they provide. We had fun games to play, and an hour was more than enough to enjoy ourselves, yet not be too tired.
Great experience and so much fun! Big shout out to Ray that was patient and kind on lessons and finding my niece, her boyfriend & me t-shirts. Ray also set up ballon games and followed up with pointers to improve our ax toss.Find Brian behind the bar —- outstanding selection of beer and ciders. FYI I don’t like Ciders but Brian found me one that was amazing. Asked for the spice muled-wine lovely on a cold day. Enjoy your time and have fun. GREAT TEAM and looking forward to going back!!!
Danny was freaking epic of an instructor. We had a blast!!! Axe throwing was secondary to the laugh we had here. Super welcoming and super patient with us as we navigated through the mechanics of Axe throwing. Thank you guys. Anyone reading this come see Danny he rocked.
My family and I had such a great time here on a bitter cold Night. Noel was perfect- gave instruction without hovering, was encouraging and most importantly, he was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this activity, especially as an alternative to the usual dinner and drinks hang out.
First time here and definitely enjoyed the experience. Matt walked us through the basics of how to throw the axe and foot positioning. Matt also kept giving us pointers on how to fix our form as we were playing which was a great help. Great date idea and they have a nice craft beer/seltzer selection along with a few other games. Well definitely be back. Thanks Matt!!
First off this was such a #dope experience!!!!My family and I was paired with Danny as our coach and he was super fun, professional, attentive and super patient .Overall we will be back , good customer service is so hard to find these days……. so my family and I were super grateful for the good energy from the staff .
My friends and I had such a fun time here!! We’ll definitely be making this a regular hang out spot. Everyone was so nice and I felt so welcome!! I could actually see my progress throughout the hour, and our guide (Danny) was highkey an incredibly teacher— I ended being an insane axe guru with his advice and demolished all my friends in a death match :D
Such a fun experience! An activity for a group to learn together. Go as strangers and leave as friends. All sorts of folks but comfortable and welcoming for all. I was skeptical at first, but now Im sold! Your money and time will be well spent on something guaranteed to leave a smile on your face.
90 min experience at Bury the Hatchet in Brooklyn. Axe Master Jake was a knowledgeable employee, witty, super helpful, and a pleasure to be around. We hope to visit the establishment again soon, carrying the skills we acquired today and kicking butt next time. Thanks Jake!
We had a great time hanging out at Bury the Hatchet! Eddie was a great instructor - not only was he an expert axe thrower, but he gave us great pointers on form and technic. He got all of us successfully “burying the hatchet” in the target by the end of our session. He also introduced us to a whole bunch of different fun games and tricks. One further note on the evening, the beer choices were great! Lots of variety in styles of beer, and plenty of local brewers were represented. The activity and the imbibing were a double bullseye!
I had high hopes for this Axe throwing experience as it was my first ever and Ive heard good things about the experience in general, Bury the hatchet in Greenpoint really met those expectations! We had a great instructor - Cynthia who really made the experience come to life with her charm and humor and friendliness. I would definitely consider coming back for more! Me and my partner both had a blast, I ALSO HIT SERVERAL BULLSEYE SHOTS!
Was not expecting this to be a good experience but went out here with my team and had a pretty good time. The manager, Christine was really good about helping each of us adjust our throw and stance so that we could figure out how to hit the target and Lucas and Brandon were helpful setting up games and tournaments to make the throwing a little bit more exciting. Overall, i think we got lucky going at a time where it was completely empty and we had a big group, but it was a nice experience and it’s right around the corner from the water so we were treated with a really cool sunset to round out the day.
What a great experience! Definitely a place to let it all out. Our instructor Eddy was great! He showed us the ropes immediately and made us feel at ease with the axes. We played a couple of games and the hour we booked flew by! We for sure will be returning and will probably bring friends too.
I was a little apprehensive after seeing some videos online of people nearly getting hit with the axes bouncing back. Im so glad we went! It was far easier to get the hang of than I expected. After a short tutorial from our axe master, we were having a blast and doing quite well. The employee checked on us regularly and gave us tips to improve our accuracy whenever he saw something he could correct. He really knew his stuff. Well definitely be going again.
Had a great time celebrating my birthday here with my boyfriend :) Matt was very funny and helpful also the place is super clean And nice I would definitely come back here to redeem myself in these challenges with my friends and hopefully Matt is our Axe Master again! 😊😊😊
Wooou! We had such a great time at Bury Hatchet the other night. Their staff is super warm…ask for Cynthia when you get there. She gave us a 3-5min training before starting and was amazing to us throughout the entire experience. My friend and I are definitely coming back….highly recommend this place for a date or a night out with friends
Ive always wanted to try Axe throwing, and my friend surprised me for my birthday. We had a fantastic experience; Danny is the best. Not only did he give us instructions, but he was funny and personable. I would highly recommend Bury the Hatchet for your next date, party, or just because, and be sure to ask for Danny!

2022-07-05This was such a cool fun activity to do. I experienced it with my hubby. It was our 1st time and we wanted to try something new and fun! Booking a reservation was fairly easy to do online. Try to arrive on time as this eats up into your time slot. You have to wear closed shoes & its best to wear comfy clothing as well.. The staff welcomed us warmly, encouraged us to get a drink (they have draft beers, seltzer water & bagged snacks for sale) then gave us specific instructions on the ax throwing techniques and being safe. As we warmed up, they gave us a score board to make the competition a bit more competitive. They also used props such as blown up balloons attached to the boards to ax it to make the game interested. Overall, it was a fun event!

2021-08-08My friend Simone and I had the best time here at Bury the Hatchet Axe Throwing!! Our axe master was Ray and Ray was so supportive and helpful during our time there. I loved how they had little competitions for us to do which made the time go by smoothly and allowed us to have even more fun. The atmosphere was amazing and the safety guidelines were on point. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning with more friends!!

2022-07-02Had an awesome time here. Danny our Axe master was super chill and funny as hell. Made Hatchet throwing much more fun than I expected. I really sucked but Danny kept helping me out the entire time. He didn’t just go over the rules and leave me to fend for myself. We’ll definitely be back!

2022-06-05This place is a hidden gem! Walked in right after a hot honey party, and it was the perfect way to end A Sunday! Ashley, one of our axe professionals, was the best. She set us up with some games, and it really added to the whole experience. Me and my partner truly got competitive.Come here for a good time!

2021-10-17Had a great time last night with the girls. The axe instructor Mimi was super helpful and made axe throwing easier for us and at the end took so many pictures for us. She made sure we had enough balloons and games to do so we could make it interesting (although I think for our first time we had so much fun without the props). Hospitality on point. There was no actual food at the location just chips and popcorn. Beer selection and some table wine. Saw them sanitizing the axes and tables and such. Clean bathroom. Super nice bar tender.
