Love this place. And I am not sure who the manager is, but if I think it’s the man in a black button down every time that I go, he is awesomeness! He is quite attentive and professional. Always greets me in a great mood. They also make Spanish food, like rice and beans!
My girlfriends order was made incorrectly today and when she spoke up about it, this new employee of yours got furious and told her to “suck his d***” in Spanish. We have been going here for years and have never dealt with poor customer service nor such disrespect. He was a short Mexican guy with a hockey hat. Never coming here again!!!
I was at the restaurant on Jan 11. A homeless lady came in for a cup of coffee where she was terribly greeted by the waiter, Alexandria. She proceeded to spray the homeless lady with Lysol. What I find most frustrating was that the homeless lady; a paying customer SHOWED her vaccinations. Never have I ever seen something so inhumane in my life and I will never return to this restaurant.DO NOT EAT HERE!!
I used to like this place, unfortunately I will never return. Today, the people working the front was completely off. The food is overpriced! The service was horrendous! It completely ruined my appetite.I was ready to ask for a refund after waiting 33 minutes for a omelet and bacon to go but theres a sign posted stating all sales final no refunds. I rarely leave reviews but someone has to tell it how it is. BUS STOP DINER SUCKS!
This place probably fed me more than my mom did I order from here so many times!!!🤣 its not like theyre michellin star restaurant but quality is consistent. Deliver fast, it just never let me down! Variety of choices but its always pretty good. I like dominican dish and cuban sandwitch. pastas are also good. Oh they have the Best chicken noodle soup!!!
My first ever negative review on google. I been to this place twice, unfortunately both the time I did not like the food. First time, we ordered chicken nuggets and mango smoothie, sad 😞 we were unable finish it. After almost 4 months last week, I thought to give it another shot. I was craving for cheesecake at night 9pm and this was the nearest place. All the cake at the shop really looks great, but, the taste 😭 ☹️ Huh, we ordered a cheesecake and a Tresleches but both were not good. The cheesecake was hard, it felt like it was not fresh at all and the tresleches was too sweet and not fresh as well. Hope they make good food in future.
It was my daughters birthday she lives near Bus Stop Diner. I arranged with David to surprise her with a birthday breakfast. Ill tell you the items because unfortunately there are no pictures. Challah bread french toast, hash brown potatoes, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, bacon & hot chocolate. Per the birthday Diva, the food was delivered piping hot & delicious 😋 !! I can attest to quality & taste as I prefer to eat at Bus Stop rather than any other restaurant during my last visit to New York. They cook homestyle & with integrity. Check out their vast menu. Trust & Believe everything on the menu is cooked to perfection & served with a warm & welcoming smile!! David you & your staff are the best 🏆!! Cant wait to visit again!
Great for sit down or order out. I normally end up ordering from this location since I live right next door. The deliveries of course, Very quickly, but I also could just walk across the street if I dont want to wait for delivery. The food is great, and if something is missing by mistake, they are quick to fix it so you do not need to get a refund. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves breakfast lunch or dinner, as all of their food is amazing. I mainly order breakfast though as they have a huge breakfast meal that will literally take me two days to finish. Definitely would recommend
Conveniently located diner with all the usual diner food at slightly above average prices but with good specials that compensate. Bonus is the fantastic Spanish (Espresso) coffee and nice cake selection. The food is good most times. Sometimes really good. They always make an effort to keep you happy though.
Bus Stop Diner, NYC is a quintessential Diner with excellent service and delicious food. Whatever you think you want to eat however you want it prepared Bus Stop Diner is the place to eat. You wont be hungry when you leave in fact you may have enough food to take home and eat later. Theyre open early in the morning 5 a.m. I believe and close late at night midnight and they deliver. Their prices are very reasonable you will not go broke eating there. Not only is the restaurant clean but so are the bathrooms. Dont let the outside scaffolding deter you from entering go in and have a great meal. My next visit to NYC I will eat at Bus Stop Diner! Thanks to the entire staff for a wonderful eating experience!!
Superb attention to every last detail! I customized every part of multiple orders and received everything exactly as I requested it. The food was delicious, and I am very satisfied with every part of the experience. The restroom is very clean too. I would recommend and return in a heartbeat!
A fine diner for the neighborhood. Not the best, but far far from the worst.A local diner thats been on this corner for years, they are dependable for being open long hours, fairly prompt delivery and consistent food.I am happy they are part of the neighborhood. The quality of the food is fine. You will go here when you need breakfast. Or when you want to order in a fast diner burger. Many locals seem to enjoy their dinner menu as well.
Visiting a friend nearby, lot of historic sites. Looking for a bargain. Bust Stop Diner fit the bill. Ordered a spare rib over rice with beans. Great choice, the ribs melt in my mouth and the broth hit your palette, what a combination. The Spanish bean cook to perfection, really complement the ribs, best diner ever 😻😻
Feb 10 - 2018I made an online order 8:20 pmAs I sit here typing this review it is now 9:37 it’s been over an hr and delivery has not been made. Now I understand a business may be experiencing a bit of busy totally understandable but is this really fair ? Prices are not even as cheap as other reviewers has said. My order is over $50 and it’s consist only of 2 burgers and a sandwich. So tell me how is this affordable or decent ?My complain is the lack of professionalism they have to the customer I made two phone calls to check on my order and the same answer was given to me back to back... mine you I live 10min away.If you want a serious review here it is. Take it from an unhappy customer.Save your money and time because for burgers and sandwiches there’s plenty of spots. This spot gets a 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Unfortunately, only two people know how to make Hispanic Coffee. Which is a big deal considering what they charge for it. They also like to nickel and dime you. Within a couple of weeks, you may find that the price for that toasted muffin with butter now cost $.35 more. Which may not seem like a big deal, but it was too expensive to begin with.I remember years ago, this place being good in regards to the food, and prices. Today the food is just uninspired and mediocre. Which it would not be a big deal, if it wasnt for the prices they are charging (and unfortunately, they are very few places to eat around here). After doing some research, I learn that the original owner sold the business a couple of years ago, which explains a lot. I decided not to continue going there anymore. After moving back to the area, I was a regular customer, going almost everyday for the coffee (place is across the street from my apartment), but today, I am always having an issue with what they charge and how they prepare the food. My advise is to cross the street and head to Dunkin because at least you know what you are getting. Or, even better, go downtown, and enjoy good food thanks to businesses close by, that sell the same thing, and are competing with each other. This business like others around here, are passionless and you can taste it.
Love this place. Tony and crew are so nice - I like to sit on the stools near the door because the service tends to be faster. Its fast paced and what you might expect from a local diner. I enjoy the service!I do know what other people are talking about with lunch-time. But is definitely a nice place that you can enjoy!
Food is fine but the prices keep getting higher. It’s almost $17 for a turkey club that used to be $10. They might be suffering from a rent hike which I am sorry if that’s the case but the iced coffee used to be twice as much for half the cost it is now. Was a staple but not anymore.
AVOID ----> keep reading if you want to know the truth. I grew up in this exact neighborhood about a block away from Bus Stop. The food in the past was legendary. I also am not saying this from a nostalgic point of view but one where even in 2008 where so many stores closed on this block, Bus Stop survived. My mother personally knew the owner who eventually sold his wonderful restaurant. It has now become absolute garbage. Even their infamous breakfast meals have lost their signature tastes. The worst crime however are the ridiculous prices for every meal. Its overpriced and underwhelming in so many areas. This is coming from someone who has ordered so much last year ranging from burgers to salads etc. If you are going to pay a premium price then I highly recommend that you try other locations on the UWS or UES and not spend your money on meals that are not worth it.
Eggs Benedict is better than the Four Seasons...literally. I eat everywhere and enjoy comparing high end restaurants to local spots. The Bus Stop Diner’s eggs were poached to perfection, their hollandaise was beyond tasty, and the lox fresh. The presentation was much nicer than you would expect at a diner as well (I ate it before thinking about reviewing), but in conjunction with the amazing service from the wait staff and the manager (even at 10am on a Friday), this place is a gem.
I am devasted with the service I have been given! I ordered French toast and the price was $7.00 but when I opened the bag they gave me 2 SLICES OF BREAD! And my friend also had to go to the bathroom after eating it. The flavor of the French toast wasn’t even good. I don’t suggest anyone going to this diner! THIS DINER DOESNT EVEN DESERVE A STAR!
Love the place and service there. Always visit there whenever Im around the neighborhood. Sometimes my friends and I just take a trip here to come and eat. Prices are reasonable and similar to any normal dinner. Food portions are of good size and enough to fill you up.
Dont ever come to this places its all expensive and horrible, Im a local around this neighborhood, at the prime when I was younger it was so good, it used to bring alot of people, please I repeat stay away from here, they give you small portions and expect tips and prices be up to 10, I want my moneys worth. Horrible management, theres a blonde Dominican woman who gives attitude there, this isnt 42st time square to be charging tax, plus you can see some mice.
At first I thought his place was great but the great service has quickly become terrible. About 2 months ago they changed their menu and raised some prices and made the portions smaller. The last 3 times the order has been wrong. The first time my Cobb salad had no chicken. The next time no avocado and now today no chicken, tomatoes or avocado not to mention a simple request for ranch dressing is always a request for blue cheese. I dont know who is in charge of preparing the meals but that is unacceptable and when I called to ask about it I was told I would be credited but alas that hasnt happened either. They have lost me as a customer. Stay away from this place.
Tourist from Va. The service was okay. The lemonade caught me off guard because it looked like milk. The omellet had no taste and huge chucks of tomatoes. The toast was very hard. The bacon on the croissant was all fat. Decided to give it another shot at delivery for lunch. The pastrami was so dry I literally almost choked. The fries were nasty and half the tray was lettuce. The cuban sandwich was actually pretty good as far as taste, but the pork was drier than the pastrami. I gave the 2stars because the time frame from placing delivery to get it was only 17mins. Pretty good...need a better cook.
Wonderful staff and even more better food. After my partner and I went there to grab a quick morning breakfast to go for our walk through Inwood Park. Great choice of ours because when I ordered my favorite which is toasted butter cinnamon raisin bagel. And the employee asked if I want jelly added and I immediately said yes, as I revered back to the time was I was a kid and that use to be my old order, a nostalgic moment that I didnt know I missed. So for me personally this simple but hopefully falvourfully breakfast shop is a gem to Inwood!
Terrible experience, last time i went it was terribad as well on a positive saturday morning (yeah i went multiple times before i even cared to tell people). Since the new management, the waitresses hate their job more, probably hate you cause of it and hate the food (because if you know food service they show it), and even more annoying they play fox news all day in the middle of harlem. So not only did i find a hair in my food under a omelette (of all places), you can tell its pointless to complain about it, because everyone hates their lives except the manager who is just self righteous from across the street. Simply put Trash Stop Diner doesnt care about its identity or respecting latin peoples voice by displaying news that discriminate towards basically 95% of the attendees. Also my wife and i got kinda sick WHILE we ate, the grits are good so at least, i said something positive. The prices went up (whatever its NYC) and the service went down and the atmosphere somehow went out the window. Stay away and go up bway for better.
Too pricy for a simple Mexican chicken torta. Yesterday I went there for the first time to try their sandwiches. I ordered one of their Mexican Chicken tortas; I was so disappointed that I dont think I will ever come back. The price with taxes $9.50 for a large green salad sandwich with a very small slice of chicken which can easily cost 6 dollars somewhere else and I would get a can of coke too.The place is small and their style is of a diner.Breakfast prices a also very high, the prices are compared with that of lunch prices.
Hate to have to write a negative review for my nearby diner, but unfortunately I have to warn you of their hidden prices and misleading menu.I ordered a pork sausage egg sandwich (pictured $2.95), requested an add on of cheese (pictured $1.00) and an add on side of fries instead of home fries (pictured $1.25). They said that’s okay, and confirmed my order “sausage egg and cheese, 2 eggs, fries?” I nod in accordance. So that should add up to $5.20 + tax, right? But then I suddenly get a bill for $13.20…If you take a look at their menu (pictured):1) There is a gap between “bacon, ham, pork sausage ($2.95)”, and “beef or turkey sausage ($4.65)”. But after I confront them on the bill they insist that bacon, ham, pork sausage, beef or turkey sausage is all $4.65.2) When he confirmed my order asking for 2 eggs, he failed to mention that it only comes with 1 egg usually and the 2nd one is a $1.00 add on.3) The cheese $1.00 add on is fine…4) But as for the home fries ($1.25 add on) sub’ed for fries, which he said is okay… after I confront him on the bill comes he tells me $1.25 is only on the sandwich, but if it’s on the side that’s $5…And that’s how they tried to surreptitiously rip me off of an extra $8…While it’s not the most sanitary diner, certainly not cheap after raising their prices for a 3rd time, and not the best tasting food… it’s convenient and nearby which is why I used to go. But now adding this scam to the mix of issues, it’s just not worth it.Nice job Bus Stop, you just lost one of your most regular customers.
I used to live right around the block from here and Im so glad I found out about this place from my roommates. Its been recently renovated and everything looks and tastes great. As with most diners, I order breakfast at all hours and take my time on a Saturday/Sunday morning to get rid of a hangover. This place makes all those headaches go away.My favorite part about the diner are the waitresses that always call us Amor or Dulce. I dont exactly know why they do it, but it always makes me smile when they do. Spanish coffee is an absolute must - itll make you grow some hair on your chest.Nothing too crazy or exciting, but Im happy it gets the job done. My alternative close-by would be Flor Del Broadway for the mashed plantains and beans, but sometimes you need a belgian waffle to mix things up.
Bus Stop Diner is a neighbourhood staple. They are always open and do a great job serving the various civil service haunts in the area including the MTA depots and City College. Every morning i get my breakfast sandwiches from there - maybe some French toast or waffles if Im feeling fancy! Everything is cooked well and they quickly remember you and your order choices. I can while in still on the road, Willis Ave Bridge. BTT i get there its fresh off the skillet. You may pay a dollar or so more, but its well worth it for made-to-order food.
Ordered delivery breakfast. Delivery was fast and the food was hot. Unfortunately it was also not good. I ordered the eggs Benedict. Two of the smallest eggs in New York. Hollandaise sauce was painted on thinly. Dry undercooked tasteless potatoes. Funny tasting spinach The plastic cutlery is so cheap it was a challenge eating what was edible. All in all I can say try another dish. 17 bucks for breakfast and tip should be enough to make breakfast right.
I have been going to bus stop for years and I must say since the old owner(Mike) sold the place the quality is low and prices dont match. Thid use to be my favorite spot for a morir Soñando until they traded the fresh squeezed OJ to container and then had the nerve to say it was fresh squeezed. I just ordered today and for 3 pastries and 2 small hot chocolates it was almost $15 I dont mind spending the money but when its not freshly baked in house then no.
Quietly hidden in plain sight on the corner of 135th St. Go past the donut and pastry display counters. Wedge your way between the cashier and the counter seats. Youll find a comfortable space for dining. Also, they specialize in muy, muy delicioso, smooth tasting cafe con leche. Great!
Nine dollars for a patty and two slices of bread. A hamburger. They dont even include the coleslaw and pickle as both Yelp and Grubhub promise they do (*see pics of on-line menus). Then on top of that you have to pay a dollar for every extra: Such extravagances as Lettuce, Tomato, Onion (OH, THE HORROR).Anyway, i ordered from this place about a month ago, also left a review on Grubhub. Dont order burgers from there, try any of the other small restaurants or chains in the area, unless you want to pay 9 bucks for a patty and two slices of bread.* for some reason im not being allowed to post the screen captures of the menus, but believe me. You can see for yourself.
Ohhh myy godddd... the service sucks. , NEVER order in the afternoon the team is impolite., the delivery sucks and they dont take responsability for their mistakes. They dont care how long you have been waiting for the food. They say, you wanted or not.? Worst service I have ever received in nyc and that is a lot to say. MORNING TEAM IS GREAT.
April 5 I came to this restaurant the worker have a nasty attitude and very disrespectful to customer and there workersApril 7 I came to give them the benefit of doubt and it’s this the same treatment it’s sad and need better customer service and ect will not come back to this restaurant again

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED THE DOWNSIDE WOULD BE THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS NOT CLASSY BUT IF YOU CAN FORGIVE THIS MINOR ISSUE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED !! 2022-06-07Was here for a late night dinner with family. It was awesome. Anna our server is a delight. Food was great! Parking is a problem....but double parking was not! One of the only diners left in Harlem.

2022-07-07Love love love this place. The food is always soo good like shake your head good! Best diner food I’ve ever had. No matter what I order or what time (I’ve placed a 1 am UberEats order) I’m always happy. One last thing— the portions are great too & usually they throw in extra things on the side for free. You get your moneys worth!

2022-03-04I ordered a veggie burrito and was surprised to see that what I got did not match what the menu said. It was a lot of rice with eggplant and squash thrown in, no cheese, beans, or guacamole. It felt like they just threw in random ingredients from a different order. Food is overpriced for the quality. It was my first time there and I wouldn’t go back

2022-05-09I have to say the food is always great tasting. You can order pretty much whatever you want the way you want it and love it every time. The only issue is that it is very pricy and can get very expensive if you are ordering every day of the week.

2022-05-27Wow, wow, wow!A little jewel in a busy corner but once you sit, its cozy, cute, and the food is prepared professionally. Personnel is truly nice. Highly recommend it!

2022-05-11Ordered a Cuban Sandwich. I’ve never ordered something from a restaurant that was absolutely inedible. I had to throw it away after one bite. I Also ordered a chocolate chip cookie, but they sent a stale black and white cookie. This is the worst food I’ve gotten from a restaurant..

2022-01-01I wish there were half stars cuz i might give this place somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4.5 (hence, settling on a 4). This place is great because theres delicious food. The dish I had was really delicious to dish that my best friend had was really delicious and they have a great mix of cuisine here at this diner. I think that what it loses points for is some of the lack of maybe cleanliness is not like the place is dirty. Its just that its not and this may be a product of being where it is, but its not like well cared for taking care of whether its by the community or by the owners. Either way, I really like eating here and for it to be a full-fledged diner in Harlem is amazing on its own. I definitely recommend you going here if you havent been here and are looking for somewhere to get a quick inexpensive delicious meal. The weight staff is also really nice so you cant go wrong with that.

2022-03-19I got the grilled shrimp potato and veggie. I asked them to load the potato but it came with cheese on too and sour cream and butter on the side. The veggies were steamed softly but flavorless. The baked potato was loaded with sliced cheese, a thick topping of cheese that was choking almost. The shrimp were the best park but a 5 out of 10. If i ever go back i’ll just try breakfast, how badly can someone screw that up
