A recent complete renovation of the waterfront has resulted in a unique and breathtaking destination. The team of Parks and Recreation that keep this place running and maintained need be highly praised for their commitment to the job and the community. The restrooms are always clean and the staff is constantly tweaking the grounds.
Love this park. Visit all the time with @cheweries. First started coming in the winter but now Im the summer 2020 even with Covid, the park is well maintained and everyone social distances. I love coming here as it is so close to the ferry terminal and I live near Rockaway and I take the ferry from there with my dog
🌳⚽️🌅 Off the beaten path in Industry City. It is worth visiting. As you can see from the photos, the views of Manhattan are splendid. Theres a soccer field, public restroom, bike tracks, and running paths. You can lay in the grass and have a picnic here. People also go fishing here. Its relaxing and not crowded. You can even watch the sunset.
Lovely chill corner of Brooklyn where people go to on weekends for out door games. This spot (picture) even had a guy leisurely fishing & had a great view of the Statue of Liberty. Well.. she was quite small to be fair, but lovely nonetheless.Would think this would be nice for a picnic area!
My kids and I really love coming here. Its one of the lesser known gems of this part of Brooklyn. Though theres no playground, theres lots of space to ride bikes, run around, play ball, etc. And the water looks so pretty with the rocks all around. Its a real tranquil place. You can usually see ducks, fish, and little shrimp swimming around, and Ive seen plenty of people coming here to fish, too.
As my second visit ever of this scenic waterfront park i noticed it comprises a bicycle, walking or running trail along waterbody with nice views of Manhattan downtown, NJC skyline and Statue of Liberty. Views are even better from the pier at the beginning of the trail. There benches along the trail and a couple of big turf fields for sports. On a nice bright day it is a great place to visit especially with friends and family.
This is the best low radar park in Brooklyn, hands down. Its so open and a lovely place to just take a walk and find some inner peace. It is not frequented by many residents so it is alot less full than the other local parks. Great ocean views, smoking is possible. Not much police presence only parking security which is nothing. Parking is available. Great place for family gatherings and romantic picnics, as well as dog walking. They do a really good job cleaning the grass. Its not poop infested which is great. But dont stay past 8pm cause youll get locked in like I did lol thats not recommended.
Great Sight seeing with alot of things and buildings that needs historical attentions and great place for family picnic and play grounds of along the shores of Brooklyn NYC and great place to discover new species of birds and 🐠 fish all kinds of fish and great for fishing 🎣 And may i ad calmness and romantica views. Trust me, i enjoyed it. H E.
This is such a beautiful park bear the water, with views of the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, space to sit on a mound, bicycle track. It is better to go there early morning or in the evening during summer. It was surprising to see a smaller crowd here than most parks. Ideal place to sit and enjoy, or walk or workout.
Interesting little park. Really nice views of Manhattan from both the park and an old pier. The sustainability aspect of the park is very cool, but honestly there is not that much here. There is a nice big turfed area for soccer fields, a baseball diamond, and some benches. There is a really nice and well kept bathroom. There is no really grassy area to sit out, or really any shade in the summer. Still, a coll little park to take a quick walk through.
Enough distance to social distance.Great space ,an unpolished gem, a bit neglected but worth the visit . Nice fields and some scientific things going on here .Geeks and jocks alike can enjoy this space . I hope I didnt violate any rules with that .lolKnow your neighborhood.Enjoy .
Its a very nice park that has a little strip of land that goes out into the water. You can get very beautiful sunset shots here, and it has a romantic air about it. Ive seen a few couples come out here to just relax or eat. You get spectacular views of Manhattsn, Jeresy, and Staten Island, along with the Hudson. Lovely place.
This is a place with Epic view and Soul. You may feel hidden and relaxed in here without city’s feel. You may be able to see the whole New York Habor and the Manhattan Skyline in this park. Also, this park re-built after the Sandy Hurricanes Attack, and you still able to see the debris.
Relatively new park. Views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Two large, modern athletic fields, well configured for soccer, with artificial turf. Modern restrooms. Overall the park is well maintained. It has a parking lot which is a big plus. For parents, one minus is the lack of playground equipment. There is a stone pier to walk out on and take in the views but be careful with small children as there is no fencing.
Great park by the water with sweeping views of the NYC skyline. The park is perfect for a short 2mile run or to play baseball, soccer, or kickball. This parks also as a bike path with exits on both sides of the park so also great if you are just riding by. Be sure to catch the sunset while sitting on the rocks by the water.
A hidden gem in Brooklyn. It is relatively quiet since it is hard to access and in an industrial area. The views are incredible and as wide as the Bayonne Bridge all the way to lower Manhattan, including a clear view of the Statue of Liberty. Please leave it for me and don’t go there!
This is a very small park but with amazing views. Walk on decks above water, downtown Manhattan across. You can walk the whole park within 30min or less. There is also a baseball/soccer field. Not that crowed but I can see it becoming very crowded soon as this is a new park.
Meh. Super underwhelming. Nothing really interesting, just a lot of wasted potential. A handful of cool buildings, a few piers/jettys, a short walkway through a tiny nature hill, and some sport fields (which are probably great if you want to play something/ arrange a game. But noth the kids and i were pretty unimpressed.
I only just recently discovered Bush Terminal Piers Park on a recent walk on the waterfront and was pleasantly surprised to discover a green oasis in such an industrial area. There are clean public restrooms, bike and pedestrian lanes in addition to great viewpoints to admire the NYC skyline. If youre a baseball or soccer fan, check out the fields for both pick-up and organized games.
Bush Terminal Piers Park makes up for its lack of amenities with a unique perspective of Manhattan. This park is not much more than a walking path and a small nature reserve for some birds. The view from the park is really great, since at this angle the city is on a diagonal so you can see both One World Trade Center and The Empire State Building, they appear to be right next to each other actually.
Wonderful new park in Sunset Park. They are starting to develop the waterfront area here into a greenway and common park space. Pretty good job so far. Large soccer fields and a long waterway walkway. They have a great long pier as well that stretches out to the water which provides great views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan. The greenspace is well manicured with lovely flowers and trees. Towards the soccer fields youll find some grassy areas for relaxing or a picnic and a bathrooms and water fountain area. Parking is scarce right now as its a small lot. Great place for kite flying as youll find some of the winds coming up from the Bay and large open areas. Theres also a bikeway as well. Also a estuary and protected wildlife section. Plenty of ducks, egrits, and wildlife to look at.
Went to this place with my girl and sister and friend, wanted to end the day by walking down the rocks that lead into the ocean and end it on a good note then some African American guy jogged past us and said is there a problem here?! Which then I stared at him not knowing who he was talking to nor why he even said that so then we ignored him and stood there to watch the sun which was a beautiful view then literally 20 seconds later he comes back and says did you not here me because I can just leave you here and lock the gates and call the cops for trespassing! Which got me upset so I said why are you acting so rude this is the first time we are hearing you say this like we literally just got here then my friend said we are leaving rn so nothing to worry about then this guy then said you arent leaving you are just standing there! Which got me and my friend very upset and we went back and forth with the dude and so he showed us his little leaf on the left upper side of his black jacket and was like you see this, I work here so its my job to tell you to get out! Also I forgot to mentioned this guy was tall and standing in front of the exit where we were supposed to leave but he was backing up while yelling at us so after he yelled and ruined our day my buddy told him all of that was unnecessary and that we were walking right at the moment so he shouldnt be still going and its done so then this guy then gets out of his car and walks towards us like hes expecting a fight so hes like walking aggressively and he says It is nessesary so you can leave or get called on for tresspassing! So my friend told him to drop it and he jumped in his little car and drove through the crowd of people leaving through the gate and closed the first gate and then closed one of the doors on the second gate while we and other families young and old were still trying to leave which was very ridiculous, I understand if you are having a bad day and want to get home but I know at any job you dont dare speak to the people that way no matter what..I hope you guys read this and work on that and talk to the person idk if you guys have a schedule of who works what days but Ill still give the date of when this happen so you can do something if you care at all for what people think of the park...beautiful view and would have been the perfect day but that just squashed it. It all happened April 6th 2019.
The entrance is at 43rd and 1st, not the location Kenneth Lei reported two blocks away. Once youre there, you cant miss it--follow the bike path all the way in!This park feels very new. Theyre still seeding grass, have yet to add all their lamp posts, and only really have seating by the ballfields.Oh, and theyre serious about the whole keep off the rocks thing--even if rocks are the only place to sit by the water.

2022-02-27Nice quiet would be better if they added a dog park lots of people walk there dog around there & we dont have any where to let the dogs play. So much open space that could be turn into a dog park. Luckily the dogs listen & no1 was round passing with bikes

2021-11-15Nice place to visit but needs to fixed up on some places, like the road, park and security needs an uplift. Free parking lot. Views of lower Manhattan, governors island and new Jersey. Bike lane inside the park. Soccor and baseball field. Hidden hiking trail along the water. Enjoy the views! 🙂

2022-05-19The view and scenery is very nice, especially with it being by the shore side, and there are some great recreational areas and really nice bathrooms, but unless you bring you own equipment or toys, theres not much to do besides enjoy the nature and serenity, which is amazing, especially for all the people that like to just get that breath of fresh air.

2020-09-12Nice park tucked in an otherwise industrial area with two large turf field for soccer and rec sports. I say usually plenty of space for people to do their thing but the large group soccer tend to monopolize so have to watch out for the ball and no consideration of others especially in the evening. The park has a nice view of the city, NJ and the Statue of Liberty.
