Definitely the neighborhood bar that everyone loves! Friendly and welcoming bartenders. Pool table, air hockey table, pinball machines, pacman arcade game that doubles as a table, and Big Game Hunter.Plus, an eclectic clientele that really helps to give the place character. Its the dive bar that puts other dive bars to shame. One of my absolute favorite places to go in South Slope, hands down.Oh, and the drinks are priced very well.
Awesome neighborhood bar with pinball machines, a raised pool table space, amazing service (Ali is amazing! Give her all your money!), awesome music, an air hockey table way in the back and this weird shuffleboard bowling game that will steal all your money. Ive spent 20 buck on that thing before. The place has a ton of space so big groups are good to go. Drinks are priced right and the local crowd is super friendly. Buttermilk 4 lyfe!
The definition of a good dive bar. Ive had countless good memories here. They actually have a lot of games here as well; pinball, pool, big Buck Hunter, darts even an air hockey table. No food but you can bring in anything from outside that you want and the bartenders are hilarious. If youre in South slope definitely stop into Buttermilk. Ask for Mel!
Kaite and Tom are both great people and bartenders. Kaite even let me use an app on her phone to order Dominos (they have one right across the street and I was starving) and gave me the napkin hookup for my sammich. Buttermilk is supposed to be divey but thats exactly the kind of bar I like. Most of the people who walked in the door while I was there were either regulars or big groups of friends, so the atmosphere was familiar and friendly. Also, pinball and good music.
It’s your standard Park Slope, Brooklyn low-key hipster bar. They removed the free popcorn machine! I’m a little upset by that. But grab a Miller High Life and a shot of whiskey for seven dollars. Apparent they serve Bloody Marys for brunch. There’s an Iron Maiden Ping Pong machine in the front. Good times.

2022-05-31Great place to chill. The bartender was really nice and professional. I loved the pinball machines, it really made the night fun. The beers where reasonably priced and the pool games were great. Definitely a place to revisit.

2018-10-02A classy dive bar, if there is such a thing. Beer and shot specials, a pool table, pinball, photo booth, air hockey and arcade bowling machine are among the pleasant distractions. No food is served, but pizzeria across street takes care of that, and you’re welcome to bring it in. Music pleasant but not too loud. Bring a friend or ten.

2022-03-20I have come here two times before with male friends and had an okay time, nothing to report. I came here tonight with one other girlfriend and was completely disrespected and I can only imagine it was because it was only me and another woman. The bartender was extremely rude and dismissive and every patron there was offensive and misogynistic. I will not be returning to this bar and I hope this post informs others about the quality of this establishment.

2021-10-30I love the ambience at this place. The pool table is like, on the stage! The fence or the wall around it though can become detrimental to anyones game unless you are used on using the midget cue stick🤷 Otherwise, I love this pool bar. I guess, all bars that has a pool table will always be close to my heart!❤️They have a clean bathroom (this is very important to me! Of course, to everyone else😊). And the bar has variety of drinks you can choose from from hard to soft.

2022-03-21If you have ever wanted to play pool at Buttermilk in Brooklyn, absolutely turn around and go to another bar. Every single person in this bar was dismissive, rude, and misogynistic to my friend and me. They do not respect women, and I hope none of you who read this ever go there.

2018-09-09Love the place. Super friendly with an unpretentious and chill crowd most of the time. The pinball machines are good enough, the drinks are good. They have a good selection of board games too.

2021-08-27Great staff, drink deals, pinball selection, and pool table. This is a low key, welcoming bar. If your looking for local flavor, you found it! And it comes with a shot on the side.
