Excellent & professional staff. The office is immaculate & follows COVID protocols & procedures. Dr Fischer is very thorough and takes the time to explain ,in detail , your procedure. In addition he presents any alternative options if available and encourages questions.
I had all my wisdom teeth and two molars on my left upper and lower that were in front of the wisdom teeth, Dr. Fischer was so professional, with his wisdom and years of experience, he extracted 6 teeth, recovery was smooth sailing. Would highly recommend anyone who needs major dental work. Everything was great and they have a cool fish tank
From the staff to Dr. Fischer, everyone here is amazing. He was able to fit me in the same day for a wisdom tooth extraction that was making me miserable. He was great in assessing my pain and even allowed me to come back multiple times for packing when I was experiencing nervy post op pain. The staff are warm and considerate and always welcoming. Dr. Fischer even repacked my extraction site when he was supposed to be taking his lunch break! If you are in the Rockland county area or beyond, this is the place to go for oral surgery. 😊
I have been to this office several times for tooth extraction and most recently for dental implant. On each visit, Dr. Fischer and the staff there have always been professional and friendly. Dr. Fischer is very skilled in his profession always takes the time to explain the procedures and listens to any concerns or questions you may have. Its not easy going to a dentist yet Dr. Fischer and his staff have made it less stressful/painful on each visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Fischer at BWS.
My experience was quick and painless, the staff was incredibly friendly. Dr. Fisher was happy to answer all my questions and concern and made this a great experience for me. He also called later on in the day to check and see how I was feeling which was very nice. Healing process was very easy as well. Highly recommend!
Service was very good , it’s not the first time , I could probably do it cheaper in a different place , but I do trust and feel very comfortable with Dr. Fischer , and I have the financial means to do that.Next time I should try to do it without sedation , in order to reduce the costs. Also I was surprised that as repeat customer I was requested to pay a deposit.
At the end of November I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Scott Fischer at BWS. I am very satisfied with the treatment I received. Dr. Fischer is very nice, very professional, communicated clearly and ensured I understood what to expect prior to proceeding with the treatment. My extraction was successful without issues, and Dr. Fischer even phoned me later that evening to ensure all was well. I recovered quickly. The entire staff is professional and courteous. I highly recommend BWS.
Dr. Fischer and his staff were very courteous and professional and made me feel comfortable. After my surgery yesterday evening I realized that Dr. Fischer had actually called to check up on me to see how I was doing and he left a voice mail message. He then called again and we spoke for a few moments. I thought that was a very nice, personal and classy touch and I highly recommend them!
I cannot say enough good things about this office. Dr. Silverman was my surgeon and he is so kind and easy to talk to with any questions or concerns I had. You can tell that he is very knowledgeable and I felt totally comfortable with him and any plan of action he took with my procedure. I have MAJOR fear of dentists and the whole experience was, as weird as this sounds, actually pleasant. Not only is Dr. Silverman so kind, each of the women in the office are also so sweet and made you feel comfortable the whole time.I hope I dont ever have to have an implant placed again, but if I did I would 100% come back to BWS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Thank you for everything!
I am new to oral surgery so I had a lot of questions and concerns. Dr. Silverman was patient, informative, answered all my questions, gave me options and helped me decide among them. He has a good sense of humor which really helped put me at ease. His staff is great and the procedure itself was painless. If I didn’t have some pain when I got home, I could convince myself my appointment was next week.
If you need an oral surgeon this is the place to go- the Dr is very thorough and easy going and puts you at ease. He explains everything and will go over all issues. After the surgery he makes a home call to make sure you are okay- which was very appreciated. The staff is also very nice and accommodating. I went there today and I felt very comfortable the way the office handled patients and following the CDC guidelines. In the past both of my children also went to Dr.Fischer to get tooth pulled and it went extremely well.
BWS is a very professional, organized and super clean oral surgery office. Staff is friendly and helpful. My visit went superbly with no pain, and Dr Silverman was excellent. He has a wonderful bedside manner, very attentive to my needs as a patient, and very gentle. I felt extremely comfortable in his care. I had very little discomfort after procedure and would return without any doubts if I have to have another procedure. I 💯recommend this office!!!!
Front office staff was very nice and explained all insurance and payment related details in a direct and easy to understand manner. Dr. Fischer did an amazing job with my wisdom teeth extraction, and providing me with all the information I needed for an easy recovery.
Very polite staff. Made it easy to fill out all your forms online do you don’t have to wait in the waiting room to fill it all out. Was sat down within 5 minutes of showing up. The nurse and doctor made sure I was suppose comfortable and explained every single detail of what was going to go on during my consultation. After my surgery the doctor reminded me that I could call back any time if I had any difficulty. He even called me personally to check up on me an hour after I left (unfortunately I missed the call but idea of it was still nice) would highly recommend.
Dr. Fischer removed 4 of my wisdom teeth last week. He came recommended by my coworker who had a good experience. I was extremely nervous about the entire process and have visited several surgeons Iwas not happy with & I ended up not having it done with them. I finally felt comfortable at this office. It’s clean and the staff is courteous. The assistants were very helpful & patient. Dr. Fischer did a great job and I appreciated the check up call after the procedure.
I was very nervous going to Dr. Silverman, he came highly recommended by a good friend. I was pain. Dr. Silverman gave me an opportunity to express my concerns . He was caring and thorough. Great personality easy to talk to. The staff is wonderful. You are in great hands with Dr. Silverman.
Great place Dr. Fisher was excellent and really took his time to explain to me the procedure of my wisdom tooth extraction. i had both bottom teeth removed and they were partially impacted. The staff was friendly and did what they could to make me feel comfortable. If i had to do it over again i would go to this place.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Fischer as my surgeon. I found him to be kind, empathetic, and very accommodating. When I went in for my consult initially, I had my 2 year old with me and he was incredibly responsive and kind to him. That won me over immediately. During my surgery, Dr. Fischer was so attentive and aware of me. He was constantly checking in making sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would not hesitate recommending him or returning to him if need be. Dr. Fischer is absolutely wonderful!!!
Dr. Silverman and his staff are extremely friendly and professional. From the moment you enter the office, you are put completely at ease. Dr. Silverman takes his time speaking with you before a procedure is done. Everything is explained in detail. He is extremely efficient and has a wonderful manner. The next day, I received a call to see how I was feeling. I highly recommend Dr. Bart Silverman and his practice.
There are not enough words to express how grateful I am for the way they handled my sons emergency. With all that is going on with COVID-19 they made every effort to get him in as soon as possible because they knew the pain he was enduring. It was clear all the precautions they have taken in order to protect the patient and the staff. The doctor was very thorough in explaining the procedure and the follow up was superb by both the office and the doctor. If you are in need of this type of dentist or you’re not sure what you need give them a call. Thank you again BWS for your professionalism but most of all for the caring nature that was shown through your superb front office staff which is clearly a reflection of the doctors as well.
Dr. Fischer is amazing. He made what could have been a grueling experience almost a pleasure by keeping up a continuous positive narrative while drilling my jaw and inserting an implant. I felt confident of his expertise and encouraged that all was going well. The extractions he performed earlier this year healed fast and thoroughly, the bone graft was solid, and I’m sure the implant is perfect too. I highly recommend him as an oral surgeon. The support staff is kind and helpful too.
Dr Scott Fischer consulted with my 18 years old son about the various options and challenges of performing a difficult procedure to remove his impacted wisdom teeth in his crowded jaw. Our dentist, orthodontist, and Dr Fischer all acknowledged the awkward positioning and likely very uncomfortable recovery from the procedure.Post surgery, we were prepared for a long recovery, and all the pain and discomfort that all the dentists predicted. Surprisingly, recovery was not bad at all and there was very little bleeding or swelling.Coming highly recommended, I am confident that it was Dr Fischer’s skills and care that made this procedure, that we dreaded, turn out to be not bad at all!
I have terrible anxiety with the dentist due to previous bad experiences. Bart was absolutely amazing, the best surgeon Ive ever been to. He was so gentle, patient and HONEST! His staff was great as well. Regardless of how much it cost me, I will go back to him for any further needs.
**DISAPPOINTED**I understand that oral surgery will be expensive, and I believe anyone looking into an oral procedure is prepared to have a high estimate / bill. Although, I feel that the office should communicate the expected upfront fees (consultation) or co-pay especially to a new patient. I had an appointment just for a consultation on an implant, but I was not prepared to drop $500 dollars in one visit especially when I saw the doctor for not even 5 minutes! The doctor quickly looked inside my mouth, asked if I had a panoramic x-ray. It was also a strange conversation before the doctor and I because he was not clear about the x-ray. I wasn’t sure if he meant if I’ve had one in general or recently .. He just made it very awkward and confusing. It did not make me feel confident in him as a doctor. After minutes of trying to get through that conversation he told me that he needed x-rays and someone would come in shortly to assist BUT didnt realize someone was going to drop a bombshell and give me the costs of what was due that day ($495 - $100 Consultation fee + $395 X-rays). In my experience I have never paid x-rays up front. It has always been submitted through insurance and I usually get billed. AND normally I would not complain on a consultation fee, but I was disappointed because I paid for nothing! It was a waste of time and money because I barely got any information!!I highly recommend confirming fees before making an appointment. Cover yourself financially on what you are expected to pay upfront on the day of your visit. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!On the plus side, the office was clean and had a good Covid-19 protocol. And the receptionist was very nice and accommodating. She could see that I was taken aback by the costs and was kind enough to explain the breakdown of fees, give me a copy of the estimate and schedule me on another day for x-ray.
Dr Fischer and staff where absolutely diligent with the procedure I needed which was causing me a horrible discomfort. Not only they were cautious while in this pandemic but they were very nice to me and made me feel arise prior to procedure.Thank you Dr Fischer and your wonderful staff. Every person I encountered there was pleasant.
I received prompt, friendly and professional service by the front desk staff, the oral surgeons assistant and Dr. Fischer. Dr. Fischer made sure I was comfortable and explained everything he was doing every step of the way. He even called me on his way home to check on how I was feeling and to see if I had any questions. I highly recommend Dr. Fischer and his staff.
I went there to have two teeth removed. Everyone was very cordial and friendly. They really make you feel at ease during a stressful time. Dr. Fisher was wonderful and did an excellent job telling me everything about my surgery and what I could expect. I have been following their aftercare instructions and so far so good. Thanks!
I was referred to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for a tooth extraction. I was obviously not looking forward to the experience, but I have to say that everyone in this office is wonderful. The receptionists are so pleasant and welcoming, as are the hygienists. Dr. Fischer was wonderful. He was very comforting and reassuring throughout the visit. Having a tooth extracted, particularly a very stubborn, difficult one, is quite anxiety provoking and every member of the team helped me through it. I highly recommend this office for anyone with dental surgical needs.
Great experience with Dr Silverman and his staff. Had 2 molars removed and never had a problem. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the procedures he does. Uses the most up-to-date equipment which makes the whole experience mostly painless with a very fast recuperation time especially with the tooth implant. Highly recommend!
Their staff misled me to believe the insurance would be covering the procedure. Later since the procedure crossed over between one year to the next the insurance company did no cover it. I would have expected a competent staff to know how insurance works and its limitations. They did not know and led me to have to pay 100% out of pocket!. Ill never use them again
I got two wisdom tooth extracted and I feel great like nothing ever happened.Great work Dr Fisher and the entire team. All of you did a fantastic job making this experience less painful. You guys are very respectful and loving.Highly recommendedBWS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Definitely the exception to the rule!! Not only are the secretarial as well as the technicians professional, knowledgeable and empathetic to a patients needs the Doctor EXEMPLIFIES THE ATTRIBUTES A PATIENT WOULD HOPE TO RECEIVE YET SADLY DO NOT? **Additionally it never hurts to not only have a real professional provide you with not just the expected consultation but WHO IS NOT HARD ON THE EYES!! (If there needs to be any type of surgical procedure) the bonus of not just his efficacy and quality of care being HANDSOME as well as LISTENING TO THE CHIEF COMPLAINTS OF THE PERSON IN HIS CHAIR makes a vast difference between a caring physician versus a merely profit motivated individual who erroneously has been allowed to use the title Doctor
Dr. Fischer and his staff are a pleasure to work with. Everyone here is kind, caring and professional. Everything including fees are explained in full detail before any procedures take place. Dr. Fischer himself even followed up with me later in the evening to see how I was feeling. I highly recommend this office
I have had a good fortune of having Dr. Scott Fischer as my dental surgeon in BWS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New City office. He has done my dental implants. I feel safe and comfortable under his care. Excellent experience. It is always a pleasure to visit with Dr. Fischer and his team.I highly recommend.
If you need oral surgery, cannot think of a better team. Dr. Silverman is not only an outstanding surgeon but also very kind and transparent about everything. They are highly professional, reassuring, do amazing work and really put your mind at ease - no small tasks for the anxious patient!
I couldnt have been more pleased with BWS.I dont know anyone who enjoys seeing a dentist but these guys definitely make it easier. The office staff and technicians are great. Very informative and comforting. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Fischer. While being in excruciating pain and fearful of what I was about to endure he completely calmed me down and worked his magic. I went home and took a nap. I woke with almost no pain. I couldnt speak more highly of this practice. I hope I never have to use them again but at least I know where to go if I do. Thank you and great job.
I honestly had an amazing experience when I went to BWS oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I went for my wisdom teeth removal and I had Dr.Fisher as my surgical doctor he is an amazing surgeon. He called after my surgery to make sure that everything was okay and that I start taking my antibiotic. The office staff if great they all very helpful and really patient, I totally recommend it.
Medically, all seems well. Very little pain from a tooth extraction. That said, a notably negative experience as a patient. I was evidently “debriefed” on the procedure while I was still under general anesthesia. Hence, I had no recall of any conversation, and asked my sister/driver to take me back to the office as that just seemed so wrong! Once back, I was handed a generic photocopied page of follow-ups that made no mention of a prescription. Accidentally, I found out that I should have started an antibiotic the same day as surgery because I happened to refill an unrelated prescription two days later, and my pharmacist told me there was an Rx there for me that I knew nothing about! The antibiotic prescribed is one that I have a stomach sensitivity to, so if the doctor or his office had asked - I am sure i could have been given an antibiotic that does not cause stomach distress. From the moment I sat in his chair and he said “you have small veins” and slapped and slapped and slapped my arm to get the vein as he needed it - to him saying everything went fine while we stood in his reception area once I returned the day of the surgery, this was a weird experience. I am sure there are plenty of capable oral surgeons in the area. I would look for one that has better patient management capabilities.
I would have to say this place is THE best Oral surgeon you can possibly go to. Anybody that goes to get wisdom teeth taken out everybody is always nervous and scared because of horror story’s you hear from other people. Dr Fischer thank you for making this an easy process and would also like to thank your Amazing staff every one was very helpful from start to finish through the whole processThanksNick
I had a tooth extracted and an implant. BWS was terrific from start to finish. Great staff that is friendly and professional. Every step in the process was explained and oral surgeon always asked if you had any questions. Oral surgeon also followed up with phone calls to see how I was doing. I had some work done there in the past and although I had subsequently moved an hour and a half away, I went back to BWS for this extraction and implant because of how confident I was in their quality of work. I highly recommend them.
My experience at BWS was awesome considering I was having a tooth pulled. The professionalism of the entire staff was very evident. Dr. Silverman’s concern for me as a patient throughout the entire process was heartwarming. The actual procedure had no discomfort! Kudos to Dr. Silverman’s expertise and professional staff!
My experience with Dr. Bart Silverman was positive. The doctor was willing to fully explain the procedure for which I was preparing. He was professional and competent.I would not hesitate to recommend him. The office appears to be state of the art and I felt confident and relaxed throughout my visits. The staff was exceptionally pleasant, friendly, accommodating, and courteous. All in all, it was a high quality experience.
Dr. Fischer clearly explained procedure to be provided (tooth removal) and provided step by step information during the procedure. His dental skills were exceptional. His bed-side manner also exceptional. His staff was polite and helpful; also exceptional. This was my second tooth extraction.
I was referred to BWS by my dentist. My wisdom tooth became impacted and started causing me pain, so it needed to be removed. The BWS team was very patient and professional. Dr. Fischer was excellent and informative. The whole process was also very quick. I would strongly recommend BWS for any oral surgery needs!
Dr. Scott Fisher was a true professional but more importantly to me, kind and caring. I had a tooth extraction and implant in my future; he explained the procedure fully; ensured I understood and was as comfortable as I could get (Im an extremely nervous patient). The day of the extraction he not only re-explained all to me but also to my daughter who was my ride for the day. Procedure was quick and painless. He called that evening to check on me ..... fabulous care. I am not into my follow-up timeframe. I had no post-surgery pain. Hes great. Thank you to Dr. Fisher and his team.
I am a DDS in north Rockland. Ive been referring patients to Dr Silvermans office for about 25 years and for a very good reason. They always receive the very best care possible, both professionally and personally. My belief was again reinforced when I brought a family member recently with a very complex problem. The matter was resolved quickly and completely. Doctors and staff are awesome. Thanks for your help and for always being there for me!
Walking into Dr Silverman’s office is like being in the presence of caring friends. Everyone is kind, polite and eager to help. Dr Silverman is highly skilled. He’s very attentive. He explains everything. He’s very gentle and is deeply concerned with making sure there is no discomfort. Oral surgery is not fun, but this practice does everything it can to put the patient first and make the experience as pleasant as possible.
The staff are professional and pleasant. The office itself is very tidy and relaxing. Loved the fish tank! I was taken on time. Very big plus,Dr. Fisher put me at ease and after the initial exam and xrays explained my problems. Dr. Fisher did NOT rush me and took the time to go over my xrays and show me exactly what the problems are and the options I have. I certainly would recommend Dr. Fisher .
I chose BWS because of all the good reviews i have seen. Unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant as i had hoped for. I went into the office for a wisdom tooth extraction. I was very nervous so I opted for IV sedation instead of lidocaine because i was told it can be a difficult extraction and sedation is the most comfortable way to go which my insurance didnt cover. I was very disappointed that i payed over $300 for IV sedation and was awake half way through the procedure. I had to experience the tugging, pulling and pressure that i paid out of pocket to avoid. I was so upset and when i spoke to Dr. FISCHER he says to me Youll forget all about it tomorrow . I feel like i payed all that money out of pocket for no reason and like i said im very disappointed!
I was referred to Dr. Fisher by my regular dentist as I needed surgery for an infection. I am normally very afraid of dentists, let along surgeons but Bws made me comfortable and at ease. The minute I entered the office I was greeted by friendly staff and the doctor took the time to really familiarize himself with my case. Dr. Fisher called me the evening after my surgery to check up in me and make sure I was recovering fine. Everyone at the office was extremely friendly and professional. Even though they did not accept my insurance, they submitted all my paperwork for me so I didnt have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend them.
My Appointment yesterday at BWS Oral Surgery was excellant. The staff was very kind n professional helping during my needs n always with a smile.D R. SILVERMAN was very informative making me feel very safe n secure for the proceedure I have been so scared n have to do ....adding we also shared a couple of stories of our parents bringing us some hearty.laughs.It was indeed a successful appointment n.looking forward to having my proceedure done by DR. SILVERMAN n his staff.
I hate the dentist or anything requiring work done on my teeth so I was quite upset when I was told that I had an infection and needed a tooth removed. I asked around and a number of people recommended Dr Bart Silvermans Office. I am so glad they did! Everyone at his office was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Silverman did such a great job!! I highly recommend Dr. Silverman to anyone who needs dental work!!
Dr. Glickman was very nice. She explained everything that was happening before and during my tooth extraction. I’m glad I was referred to her. I gave it a 4 star because her front desk staff is another story. One in particular ( I wish I got her name) was rude. Very rude. Oh and impatient. If I wasn’t in pain I probably would’ve left. Noemi was very nice. Kind of wish I had dealt with her first.
I went to BWS Oral Surgery to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed after years of procrastinating. Dr. Fischer and the rest of the staff were caring and professional. They were really concerned about my well-being and followed up on my progress after the surgery. They made me feel comfortable both pre and post surgery, all of my questions were answered. They constantly reassured me during the surgery that I was all right and everything was going to be ok and it really helped me not to worry. I wish all my doctors would treat me the way Dr. Fischer and his staff did. I would highly recommend the practice to anyone who needs oral surgery.
Dr. Silverman is simply the best! I wouldnt even consider another oral surgeon. Dr. Silverman makes you very comfortable and explains everything in detail in easy to understand language. Dr. Silverman is very professional and personable with an easy going manner and he is very gentle. Dr. Silverman is very sincere when he tells you not to hesitate to call him if you are having a problem. I would highly recommend Dr. Silverman to anyone who needs an oral surgeon. The office is clean and beautiful with a huge and fabulous fish take in the reception area. An added plus is his wonderful staff: friendly, professional and very helpful. Dr. Silverman makes your experience in his office a painless one.
My first impression when walking into Dr Bart Silverman’s office was this is a nice office. I was greeted with a smile, by his front desk staff and they were expecting my arrival. Registration was easy and the wait time was very reasonable. The fish tank in the waiting room was a good distraction. I can’t speak more highly of Dr Silverman, he’s attentive, compassionate and not rushed. He took the time to explain to me his treatment plan and all options. Dr. Silverman runs a state of the art Oral and Maxillofacial dental practice. I found him to be gentle and caring and truly concerned when giving anesthesia. I’ve had tooth extraction, a bone graft and implant placement. His proficiency in implant placement is outstanding. I know that he lectures around the country and the world on the technique and use of the specialized implant placing equipment that he utilizes. I highly recommend Dr. Silverman and his associates. Eric Wasser, DDS
BWS has a thorough process for implants . they make sure the patients bone structure is healing and integrating with the implant through numerous followups (included in the placement fee). Typically it was three months from placement to being given a green light to proceed with putting crowns on the implants. I had 7 implants place over two years. When the final was placed and cleared to go, there was little problem with records needing to be forwarded to my general dentist, given the time lapse. I think there was a staff change and maybe also a computer change. Not sure but records needed for my dentist to order parts were difficult to get processed to my dentists. Over time, BWS had transitioned through two major brands of implants. So I have both. The current brand is far preferred by my dentist. Recommendation: make sure BWS instructs the dentist to torque then have a re-torque visit in a month. All of these implants loosen up after the first month. The manufacturers torque spec can be exceed for well healed implants. The low torque spec is probably more cautionary in the case where the oral surgeon allowed crowns to soon - before the implant was well integrated tot he bone.
Dr. Silverman may be one of the nations foremost experts in his field, but when it comes to bedside manner [dental chair-side would be a more appropriate description, I guess] no one could make you feel more at ease AND more confident about the outcome of an oral-surgical procedure than him! Oh, I should mention that the staff at BWS is also superbly trained and incredibly nice - sensitive to the natural trepidation so common among surgical patients: I know its not just me!
The staff of BWS is very warm and welcoming each time I go in for an appointment.I met with Dr. Silverman initially. He put me at ease right away and listened to what my expectations were and addressed my concerns. He presented me with options which would allow me to choose the best procedure for me. Dr. Levarek performed the procedure for me. She and her assistant were wonderful. The procedure I had done seemed to be over before I knew it and my recovery went well. I will be continuing through another couple of procedures and feel comfortable and confident in the care of BWS.
They fit me in the same day after I had called all around Westchester, Orange, and Rockland county. They were super helpful and attentive. I wound up getting an infection afterwards and had to call the doctor through the answering service, he called me back right away and really answered all of my questions. He seemed genuinely concerned. The staff went above and beyond. I would recommend this office to anyone.
Dr. Silverman and his staff are accommodating, compassionate, understanding, kind, considerate, patient, and courteous. They have taken the time to answer my questions and have made me comfortable with all of the choices that I have had to make concerning my oral surgery care. I highly recommend Dr. Silvermans practice!I am so satisfied with my care at Dr. Silvermans office. I contacted my dentist to thank her for her referral!
I should write two reviews- one for Dr.Scott Fischer and one for admin. My experience with the doctor deserves 5 stars rating for the following reasons:1) Dr.Fischer tries to consider what is the best for you, not just sell you extra services. I initilaly wanted 3 wisdom teeth out, but was not sure if I should do it. Dr.Fischer told me that I dont really need to take the top ones out since I was able to keep them in a good shape for all these years. I decided to take the two top wisdom teeth in a year from now (if I have enough courage) and would come back to Dr.Fischer.2) Dr.Fischer took time to answer all my questions before any of the procedures took place.3) Dr.Fischer suggested to come back and have my wisdom teeth and one of my molars pulled out at the same time, so I dont have to go through anesthesia twice. Very considerate plus $$ saving.4) Dr.Fischer did a great job of removing my impacted wisdom tooth on the bottom as well as my molar for orthodontist purposes. I had small swelling the first day and it was my fault, since I forgot to put an ice pack over my jaw (also I was given it at the docs office). My sockets have been healing well. I developed TMJ, but this is not uncommon, considering that Im over 30.5) Dr.Fischer called to check up on me after the surgery.6) Dr.Fischer took time to answer my questions one week after surgery.7) Dr.Fischers assistant was gentle and friendly, which helped to deal with the stress being in the dentist chair. The second review is for admin. Also, I gave 5 stars to Dr.Scott Fischer and his assistant, I would rate admin at 3 stars. Hope there will be some improvement in the future. Dont get me wrong- front desk is friendly and polite, but they are either overly stressed or overly worked. Not sure what.My reasons for 3 stars to admin:1) Hard to get an appointment that would be convenient for me. Also, I understand it is very subjective, but I can hear by the voice that Im not given all the good options.2) Wait time for the appointment is very prolonged. I was scheduled at 1:00pm for a follow up appointment with Dr.Fischer. I came in at 12:58pm. There was a patient waiting for the procedure with Dr.Fischer. That patient was escorted to the room and I just kept waiting for about 20 min until I asked if there was a double booking. It seems like it was. Anyway, I waited for about 45 minutes. Note, that I was working that day, so it was a bit stressful.Overall, great experience with the doctor, wish to see the same at the front desk.
Dr. Fischer,Cathy, his assistant, and all who sit at the Front Deskas well as I believe the office manager in the back. (You doctors seriously need to give her a larger room. Poor thing is jammed in there.)I love them all.Neat, courteous, oh so terrific.Dr. F is a sweetheart. Sorry ladies but hes married. lolHe tells you what is going on and suggests options but never tells you what to do.His chair side manner is second to none.He doesnt rush you or make you feel like youre just a number.I can go on and on and on with nothing but wonderful things about this facility.I have had four teeth; difficult to say the least, that had to be extracted. Piece of cake each time I went.No pain from start to finish. Some pallet discomfort in the evening but expected from injection site but nothing two tylenol couldnt take care of for the discomfort.I dont get impressed very easily. However, these folks work as a team. And anyone in the medical profession or any company for that matter knows when all hands are on deck, things run smoothly and efficiently.I highly recommend BWS to anyone needing surgery or whom might need or is consideringMaxillofacial or Oral surgery. They offer pain medication in case you feel you might need it.The Doctor walks you step by step as hes working on your procedure. If you are uncomfortable you only need to tell him and he will let you stand and stretch.I have spine and neck problems. He puts my comfort before his having to move to the next patient. The young ladies in the front and the assistants are phenomenal. The most impressive was they call you in a day or two to check on you. If you have any problems after hours....no problems.Thank you all so very much for your expertise and courteously way for operating your business. A+ 100%Respectively,TDI travel over 80 miles to get to this facility one way and 80 miles to get back. That alone should tell you all you need to know about my opinion of this practice.
Had major work done.today.. Dr.Silverman was wonderful & explained everything so well! So important to feel you know whats happening. And of course what can i say about Esa! She coordinated all of it! Wouldnt have happened so smooth without her! Hreat staff all around! And this is day 1! Stay tuned.........Well ,the anesthesia has worn off & Im still over the moon happy with dr.silverman & staff! Very attentive! The procedure & follow up has been great! BWS is there for me!
I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Levarek and she currently just finished a bone graft for a future implant. She is a great surgeon and takes pride in her work and I would highly recommend going to her. She was very professional and explained everything very clearly about all of the procedures. She was very kind and courteous along with her assistants and staff. Looking forward to my next visit at BWS !!!
Dentists and Oral Surgeons are scary but I dont hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Scott Fischer. I come from Bergen County, NJ (because why go anywhere else once you already found he best?) So happy my amazing dentist Dr. Seema Narang recommended him a few years back!
Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Fischer and experienced virtually no pain or swelling at all (even on day 1!), which I think speaks volumes about his skills . I have been there 3 times and have always been seen on time or early . Overall, It has all the feels of a stellar practice and I highly recommend them !
WOW! Did I luck out when my dentist Dr. Bob Marrone recommendedan oral surgeon! And as far as Im concerned- the Best!!!!!!!!!!Dr. Bart Silverman is warm, caring, and patient - the consummate professional. Before proceeding with my implant, he did an X-ray- found my rightmaxillary sinus was completely blocked - used antibiotics for 10 daysand X-rayed again. Nothing changed. And this is where his humanitarianattitude shines through. He would not proceed until I had seen an ENT!He could tell what the problem probably was but could not rectify ithimself. I was very lucky to be under his care!Dr. Daramola, my ENT, did need to do surgery ( just as Dr. Bart hadsaid ) but he also told me I was very lucky to have your oral surgeon. He said he has seen many patients whose oral surgeons have proceededwith the implant even though the patients have maxillary sinus issues. The results are failed implants, emergency surgeries and unnecessary suffering. Not only did Dr. Bart save me from any of that but his keen observationand right action saved my other teeth and jaw! The infection fromthe completely blocked sinus was literally destroying my jaw bone - andI had no idea!If it sounds like Im praising this doctor to the 9s - I am!!!!! Not onlydid he save me unnecessary pain, but he gave me hope that thereare still compassionate people in this world. Dr. Silverman, yourean angel!Dr. Bart- Thank You from the bottom of my heart!Phyllis Lauer
I love Dr. Bart Silvermans friendly and attentive staff at BWS Oral Surgery in New City, New York. They put me at ease, especially when Im preparing for an anxiety-producing procedure. Moreover, its always reassuring being in the very capable hands of a professional with extensive experience and expert skills.I also like the staffs upfront discussion (and break down) of the fees. Nobody wants surprise expenses or unexpected bills.I highly recommend BWS Oral Surgery for any oral surgery needs.
I wish I could give higher than a 5 star rating, thats how stellar Dr. Levarek is. First, I called the office on a Thursday, got the appointment for 2 days later on a Saturday. Yes, a Saturday. They sent over an electronic form so I could start on the paperwork before I got to the office so I could be in and out as fast as possible. When I first walked into the office on Saturday 11/14/15 to see Dr. Levarek, I was very VERY nervous. Ive had 2 teeth taken out before, but have had not the greatest of experiences so I was very apprehensive. As soon as I walked in, Christine at reception was very reassuring saying that the procedure wont be bad and that theyd make sure to do everything in their power to make me comfortable. Some additional paperwork and about 5-10 mins later, I took x-rays with (I believe) Mal, who was also very kind and then was brought into the room.Dr. Levarek came in, cheery and pleasant and could probably see that I was scared to death. She looked over my X-ray and said that instead of just taking the molar on the upper right side, I should probably also get the wisdom tooth on that same side, same row taken out too since it could cause a problem as well as the wisdom teeth on the top and bottom left side. When she finished looking things over, a woman came in and told me they contacted the insurance company and I was covered 80% for the procedure, and also 80% for the sedation, went over payment options and I signed some more paperwork. Dr. Levarek then came back in and explained my options of sedation and gave me the choice of being fully out or twilight. She explained twilight as a You arent completely out, but you just really REALLY dont care whats going on and you wont remember the procedure kind of feeling, which I was quite okay with since I hate anything that puts you to sleep. She also gave some instruction for the aftercare to my boyfriend and I since she said I may not remember much after the procedure was finished but said she would also give paper instructions to take home.Sure enough, she had me all situated: Comfy sweatpants, comfy shoes, one headphone in (so if she needed to tell me something then she could) and in the chair. Got the IV put in, had a weird mask put on my nose for oxygen and she just started talking to me: Is that your boyfriend with you? Do you do go school? Do you work? As what?... aaaaand next thing I know I just hear her say Youre all done! and the right side of my face was puffy with gauze. She gave me a little bag with extra gauze and instructions to take home and brought me over to a little bench in the hallway until I was ready to head home, but it didnt end there. No. My appointment was at 9am that morning, left the office around 11:00am to head home...fast forward to about 3:30-4pm that afternoon (And I think they close at 3 on Saturdays) I get a call on my cellphone. It was Dr. Levarek checking up on me to see how I was feeling, if I had any additional questions and said to feel free to call the office anytime if I had any questions.Dr. Levarek and the staff are all extremely professional, really take the time to sit and explain things to you and really go above and beyond to make the experience the best it truly can be. the office itself is clean, state-of-the-art-like, and the fish tank is quite nice as well. I actually enjoyed going to see her to the point where I did the crazy thing and went back the very next weekend (11/21) to get the other procedure done for my wisdom teeth on the left side out. And thats saying something since I absolutely hate going to the dentist and have been putting this off for months. But the second bout? Same courteousness, same care taken, everything. My boyfriend and I both agree that if she did general dentistry, wed have her as our general dentist in a heartbeat. (If only!!)
ORAL SURGERY AT ITS BEST!!!!As most of us the D word scares me as well. Yes the Denist...UGGG!!After my recent visit with my dentist I was told that I need all 3 of my wisdom teeth out. I was informed by her that I have to see an ORAL SURGEON for this procedure..OUCH!! So if you think I was scared then think about how I felt when I left her office. As my brain kept saying dont worry I can put this off forever it also said its gonna stink at 3am when Im screaming in pain. So a good friend refered me to BWS Oral surgery in New City New York. This was one phone call I DID NOT WANT TO MAKE but I had no choice. So i picked up the phone and dialed the number and was greeted by this soft spoken young lady named JACKIE and after her words of no problem - absolutely- anything you need- whatever works for u I felt like Ive known her forever almost as well as my sister. She made an consultation appt for me totally around my scheduele not THE DRS!!!(HMM THATS STRANGE)I walked into the office a week later and again was greeted by Jackie and was then introduced to the ENTIRE STAFF before even meeting the surgeuons. I felt like I was at a cocktail party not a place thats gonna HURT ME!!Then a wonderful young assistant Teresa called my name and escorted me to a High Tech xray machine and within seconds she escorted me to the consultation room at which time I was greeted by Dr.Bart Silverman and his lovely wife Katie who own and operate this wonderful facility. Dr Bart examined me and concurred the diagnosis of my dentist. 3 teeth GOTTA GO....What really blew my mind was the whole time there all I was thinking was OMG HOW MUCH IS THIS GONNA COST and right after the exam Dr Bart had ready in his hand all my payment options as well as my co-pays etc...THIS WAS BETTER THAN AFFORDABLE OMG WALLMART LAY AWAY PLAN Were MORE MONEY THAN THIS!!!After my examination my friend Jackie made again another appt that was totally CONVIENANT FOR ME..She then handed me some info I needed to no before my surgery. 2 days prior to my appt i recieved an email reminding me of my appt and again an email 2 hours before my appt which i thought was a great idea as im always forgetting thingsAs the D-Day approached I was trying to figure a good excuse to cancel but I knew I had to get it doneUpon my arrival to the office I was greeted by Jackie and her side kick KIm and again I felt like this could no way be a Surgery kinda place...but it was. When that dreaded time came and my name was called the assistant Teresa brought me in to the consultation room made me feel very comfortable and THEN GAVE ME A TOUR OF THE ENTIRE OFFICE showing me exactly what goes on in front and behind the scenes..OMG HOW COOL IS THAT!!When i was back in the room I finally got to meet the MAN OF THE HOUR Dr Scott Fisher - Dr Barts #1 associate. After 2 minutes of just chatting with him I said to myself THERES NO WAY THIS GUYS GONNA HURT ME!!!Dr Scott explained to me exactly what he was gonna do how long it was gonna take etc..Then I was taken into the Surgery room where I met Issa the Drs assitant. She made me comfortable and relaxed right up until it was night night for me. Dr Scott came in and said count to 10 and the next thing I no I was brought into this RELAXING HOME STYLE RECOVERY ROOM and i stayed until my discharge.Upon my leaving Jackie handed me my after surgery instruction as well as some Surgeon Goodies(gauze pads etc) and off I wentLater on that night about 6 hours after the surgery my phone rings and its Dr Scott checking up on me making sure im not in any discomfort or pain and assuring me if there is anything i need to call him ANYTIME IF I NEED HIM( WHAT DR DOES THIS)THE BOTTOM LINE-DR Silverman, his wife katie and all his staff have made what I thought was gonna be the worst day of my life into an absolutely UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE FOR a guy thats deathly afreaid of dentists!!I WOULD RECOMEND THEM TO EVERY AND ANYONE THAT NEEDS THIS SERVICE!!!

2022-04-06BWS provided excellent service for the entirety of my wisdom teeth removal experience. The reception staff is kind, helpful and caring. The office is clean and organized. Dr. Fischer removed 3 of my wisdom teeth and was very thorough in his explanation of the procedure. After the surgery, he gave me a call to see how I was doing and offered to answer any questions I may have. I went for a follow up visit a week after the surgery and he took the time to sit with me and discuss my concerns and answered my questions regarding the recovery. I will certainly return to BWS if I am every in need of any other oral surgery.

2022-06-03My husband had great experience with Bws. He had 3 teeth removed and implants put in with hardly any pain during or after the procedures. Dr Fischer was really great in explaining the procedures and in making him feel at ease and he even followed up after with a call to see how he was doing and with follow up visits”. The staff at BWS is also excellent . He highly recommends them which is why he is having another tooth done

2022-03-04I was annoyed at my first visit/consultation because I was told on the phone that my insurance would be verified before the appointment and it was not. I even asked for confirmation of this when they called 2 days before the appointment to confirm. But when I got there the woman at the desk was under the impression I was paying out of pocket and didnt have my insurance on record. I then had to wait 30-40 minutes while they called my insurance to confirm they were in network. Other than that the appointment and subsequent surgery was smooth sailing and I was happy with the work the doctor did. But for the front office to have messed up like that was pretty frustrating since I made a point to get this all sorted before the appointment.

2022-02-16My dentist/surgeon explained that the total time it would take was 4 months from the time the extractions and bone build up was completed. I was so surprised with the painless procedure. And aftercare will prepare me for the caps that my regular dentist will install.
