Arrived late night but hotel was stilly busy. The location of the hotel makes ordering food in very limited and the close by food isnt any good. The hotel itself was nice, finding parking was a problem though since it was pretty packed. The rooms were decent size and beds were okay! The view or the Niagara River was very nice.
Your typical Holiday Inn: not worth the price youll pay (our reservations were like $125/night). I normally like to stay at Holiday Inn Express...what a big difference the Express makes. This is a typical older Holiday Inn, complete with creepy indoor pool and a Game Room. I saw one washer & dryer, so youre not staying here for the long-haul.The exterior of the hotel is in desperate need of a power-washer and paint job. The main sign was not even in place on the building or out front! Instead, all they have is a little banner! The parking lot needs a street sweeper to come through--lots of cigarette butts and some broken glass, along with trash in the brush next to the river. The lobby has been updated, as well as the rooms. The bed was nice, the room was clean. The entire first floor smells like smoke though. Deadbolts on all the doors do not make me feel safe. I have to hold the handle down to ensure the toilet actually flushes. Free internet, but every time I got online, I had to log back in, and there are 2 wi-fi networks operating in the hotel, one of which doesnt seem to work. Cannot set the A/C unit to just a constant fan setting. The staff has been pleasant enough, though I had to figure out how to program my own TV remote control. You have to dodge foreign tourists and guys drinking beer on the lawn in front of their 1st floor rooms in order to get to your room. I think theres 1 good luggage cart, which has been parked in my 6th floor hallway all day. The others are beat up, missing pieces, and dirty. We went to the Falls for a few hours, and if it wasnt for the great outlet mall nearby, we wouldve probably checked out early and gone to our next destination instead of staying an extra night.Ice machine on 6 worked fine. $2 for a soda from the machine seems steep. Did not eat at the hotel at all. Breakfast at Tim Hortons, and dinner at La Galera in Niagara.
I would not stay here!!! We turned on the lights and there were a total of 5 spiders (alive and building a web) plus two more webs in the corners and a dead spider on the wall that was smashed. Called the front desk who sent up housekeeping 30 minutes later with a duster who then just dusted the spiders onto the floor.. THE LIVE SPIDERS!!!! I then told housekeeping that he just swept the spiders onto the floor and he stated he didnt see them. He also stated that the spiders were coming in because it was getting cold outside (it was 77 outside) Needless to say we slept with the lights on with very little sleep. When getting ready in the morning, there was yet another spider hanging over the bed. When speaking with the manager he did not seem concerned about the issue. He said that he would look into it but of course we were checking out. BY FAR WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Just very disappointed.
We recently wanted to treat ourselves to a local night away from the house. the idea came from AARP. I chose Grand Island due to having spent so little time there.(occasional work) I read some reviews and it seems many were not 5 star. What I found was a hotel built some years ago and evolved into a HUGE hotel and conference center, and I believe in its Heyday was probably viewed very much a 5 Star facility, and considered to be THE place to go for corporate and larger functions, being so close to Canada, and Buffalo. Sadly I did not take advantage of all Byblos has to offer. Room was on 5th floor, with a view of the water and area(beautiful), it was clean, albeit slightly dated decor, quiet, and appreciated. The staff was very helpful, and seemed to be pleased we were there. Thank You Staff. I would absolutely Recommend Byblos to others.
I visited the Hotel for 2 days so we could see the Niagara Falls. The Hotel looks verry old and the rooms are verry old to. It isnt verry clean. We went to the restaurant for dinner. Prices are verry high and i was still hungry when i left the table (6 schrimps and a bit of vergtables for 24$, i thought that i would get some fries but you had to chose betweens fries or vegtables)! I wont be comming back. When we would leave the room suddenly there was mechanic to check everything in the room. Why do they have to do this when people are staying?? For me it could be a thief. So we stayed on the room untill he had done his service. I think there are better hotels in the neighbourhood. Service it self is good, the staff is really friendly. Also used the WIFI but got bad reception in my room.
The hotel/motel is in very poor condition under very poor management. Only one of three elevators is in working condition. Carpet in hall and room are dirty. TV remote control did not work, There was not enough warm water for shower. Fire alarm was on twice on night and one any information was release by manager and no any answer from fron desk... . .
Room was not clean - dirty, old washcloth on top of shower curtain rod, killed black spiders, lamps were not plugged in, no exhaust fan in bathroom, dirty at between mattress and box springs at top of bed (had to move it to plug in lamps), headband in back of couch (had to move it for a plug). Just not happy with the overall experience.
I am staying right now and i wish i could give less than 1 star. AC in room is not working in this summer and that lady on front desk is so rude telling us even i sleep in fan at home, big deal !! Well someone tell them it is not home and i dont pay so many $ at home. I have been to so many countries and hotels. Worst service ever. If you come here wish nothing breaks down. My room phone is not working and they are not fixing even that.
I staid as part of an international gathering, service was poor the place did not cater for my need breakfast was slow nothing arrived at the same time, no bar open during the day and no shuttle bus to ferry people nearly 3 miles away to eat lunch ECT over this experance put me off in recommending the place to family or friends the place was rundown and in poor state on top floor bins out holding rain leaking in the place smelled moldie and dirty we made a complaint before we left i hope our conserns were taken on board
Hi ,Stayed at Resort on may long weekend after a long struggle at night we got this resort details and went there at 12:30 night with no hope becuase we didnt get any room at niagara so we thought of leaving the place but got the info from three point start hotel and he reserved the room for us and went there with no hope since its at end of the road but awesome stay and nice rooms and breakfast was too good and will go next time to enjoy the place
To say less than impressed would be an understatement. Spiders everywhere inside the room and in the ceiling corners. I dont think the place has been sprayed in years. Carpeting was dirty. Halls and rooms were moldy smelling and the service staff used the guest elevators making guests wait while they put the laundry carts in elevators. The fridge was missing a leg and wobbled to the point of falling over. The only good thing in the room was that the bathroom was clean. The pool ran out of towels....ridiculous. And it was not that crowded...the 2 teenage girl lifeguards were more interested in talking to each other than watching the kids. The front desk staff --RUDE!!! Rude is the nicest word that can be used.I called multiple times to confirm reservations and what we needed.... needed roll away -- never quoted extra charge ( 4 calls never quoted) $15 /day. Told them we needed pull out couch-- never gave us linens to make it up-- and when I called for them I had to call front desk repeatedly.

2016-02-29Not at all what I expected. We were assigned this hotel while in the area for a hockey tournament. Surprised that wed get a resort and spa, but whatever. Then we looked at the pictures online, and it definitely looked a bit dated. Expectations were tempered. It vainly wasnt the fanciest place ever, but it was decent. No, the accommodations werent the most modern. The regular rooms were a touch small, but they were clean and the balconies were nice. We had friends who got a suite, which was much roomier. The pool was EXCELLENT.. very large, and they even have a lifeguard on duty. Front desk staff wasnt the friendliest, but we talked to the manager a couple of times, and she was fantastic. Dont eat at the restaurant, the are CLEARLY not prepared for more than 2-3 tables at a time. We ate dinner and breakfast there, and service was painfully slow (though the good was pretty good). Very hockey-friendly hotel, had no problems with our kids playing knee hockey. They also gave us a complimentary party room for a team party. All in all, it was everything Id expect from hotel at $109/night.

2016-03-04Great for a one night stay. All rooms have balconies which is a rarity nowadays. Our balcony (and many others) had a direct view of the waterfront. No problems with staff. It is somewhat secluded so get food/snacks on the way. Nice indoor pools and decor. We paid $50 through Groupon and couldnt have gotten a better deal!

2014-07-28This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. It was run down and dated. Mold in the room, wall paper detaching from the the walls. Toiletries in the bathroom were not replacement during my stay. Bathroom towels had holes and were shredding. Pool staff were unpleasant and very rude. Exterior door wasnt locking. Hallways up and down the stairs were a complete mess. Staff always assumed the right to use the elevators before quests. With 100% confidence I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

2016-07-04Staff was friendly and attentive when we pointed out there was broken glass. Guests were pretty noisy in hallway and parking lot btwn 10 and 11 at night. Room was clean but in serious need of renovation. Paint and wallpaper peeling, water damage, some furniture needs replacing. All rooms should include a mini-refrigerator and microwave for this price, and especially using resort and spa. Front entrance is not clearly marked, though multi-lingual signs throughout are a nice touch given the international clientele. We had a first floor room with a patio door and enjoyed the opportunity to walk out the door to the dock and enjoy the lovely river view. Can be a great hotel with significant updates!

2017-06-23Could not have asked for a better room for the price that we paid. We had a great view of a beautiful frozen via our balcony. The amenities they offer are more than one would expect to receive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone whos trying to have fun and does not have to worry about poor service. 👍👍

2015-04-29Staff was very polite, helpful, and super friendly all around.I loved the pool, etc. Facilities.I was on the 6th floor with a river view. .. to say the view was beautiful would be the short sentence. A Wonderful, quiet yet welcoming place to be. Id go back in an instant, and will definitely plan this as a future stop.

2014-07-14I stayed at this hotel over the 4th of July weekend with my wife, 2 year old son and extended family. Bedbugs were found in all four of our hotel rooms on the day of check out. Management and housekeeping were brought into the rooms and shown the bugs and we did not pay for the rooms. Several days later in our home state, my son woke up completely covered in red swollen bites. They covered his arms, legs, face, fingers, toes, even his ears. Apparently the bed bugs had come home in our suitcase. My wife called the hotel and spoke with the manager. The manager was completely unsympathetic and said that there was no way to know that it came from their hotel. When my wife explained that bed bugs had been found in our room and that we were certain it came from them, the manager claimed she was unaware of the problem. Figuring that both management and housekeeping had been made aware of the problems and seen the actual bugs I can only assume that she was either lying or the hotel is doing nothing to eradicate the bedbugs.I am angry and disgusted at both the conditions of this hotel and their reaction. I can not discourage people strongly enough to stay away from this establishment. It has cost me hours of time and money to try and rid my home of these disgusting bugs; nevermind the fact that I have a two year old completely covered is swollen red bites.

2016-03-28The resort is beautiful. I would reccomend booking a room facing the river. It was awesome waking up and seeing the river fromt every Morning. The only issue i would have is that they should have a minimum of a a mini fridge and a microwave in each room. I went as a group and everyone had different rooms . thats how I noticed the differences in amenities.

2015-10-25The hotel rooms are okay. The river view is great. The hotel amenities are great, but if you stay here you have got to eat at the bar. It is some of the best overall food Ive had. Just absolutely amazing.

2016-12-31We reserved 2 rooms for two nights and were less than satisfied with the rooms and lack of ammenities provided. Our telephone did not work.....we used the phone in another room to call the front desk for service. Our toilet did NOT flush.....there was NO chain in the tank at all. The maintenance man repaired it with zip ties which only worked temporarily. The beverage vending machines were completely sold out of products on THREE floors. There is no refrigerator or microwaves in any rooms which is extremely inconvenient for more than one night or for families with children. The hair dryer in our room also did NOT work. VERY DISAPPOINTING.....definitely gives Radisson a BAD name!
