Very pretty park. Be careful with small children because of the water and the bridge. Very quiet and nice.
Nice park but the pond looks like a swamp. Its a shame they should clean up the water for the animals

This is the go to pool, the workers keep it clean. You have to get there early or all the seats with shade are gone. My only complaint the women bathroom needs to be checked and cleaned threw out the day especially on the weekends

This place is amazing and the all employees are nice , my kids enjoy every summer there . The swimming lesson are good and the teacher are good with the kids .
I love it here, its only a 20 min walk for me, I just wish the bathrooms were cleaner and that they had wifi but other than that its a nice relaxed place

My kids take swimming lessons here. Amazing and friendly staff. They could take a bit more care cleaning the place though.
I LOVE THIS PLACE BEEN GOING FOR YEARS. BUT I DONT LIKE THE FACT THEY KEEP CHANGING PRICES. I GOT A REC CARD WICH I PAID FOR TO GET IN MY FEE WOULD HAVE BEEN 8$ AND YOU HAVE TO LIVE IN THE TOWN OF ISLIP. IF YOU DONT YOU HAVE TO PAY 12$ .BUT THEY SEEM TO CHARGE EVERY ONE 8$ ITS NOT RIGHT. I LIKE THE FACT THEY CHARGE OUTSIDERS MORE IT KEEPS THE ASSHOLES OUT. BUT THEY ARE NOT DOING THIER JOB. IM GOING TO CALL AND COMPLAIN TO RECREATION. WHY DID I PAY FOR THIS CARD????
The pool is great , I really enjoyed the time I spent with my family at the park too.
Pool is clean and water temp just right. Liimited seating before noon today.
You can bring your one food, they also have a little concession stand with reasonable prices.

The park is very nice, the problem is that there is a swamp that does not have a mesh, it should have, for the safety of the children and the pools charge $25 dollars per person, it seems a bit expensive to me since I have a family of 8, six of them children and you pay the same per adult as per child.

2019-08-30Very clean, nice staff, and I love that there is a kiddie pool and even that is separated into 2 parts for the tiny littles and the in between kids. Life guards at all pools, the slide is amazing for kids who are good swimmers. Changing quarters, showers, bathrooms all clean and available.

2018-06-17Very nice park with a playground for kids, it has a small lake with lots of turtle inside that come near you looking for food. It also has a barbecue area with tables to sit on. There is also a very nice pool with a slide which is pretty fun to bring your kids and have an awesome time

2021-08-20Byron lake holds alot of memories growing up so Ill try not to be biased.The entire atmosphere is nice, gazebo over the water, pay ground for kids, picnic tables and grills . This place is meant to promote family get-togethers and good times.Bring a cooler with wheels because its a walk to picnic area from parking lot. Bring toliet paper because theres a bathroom with nothing in it. Bring sanitizer so you feel a little better walking into and out of that restroom. Thats where this place lacks. People can spend a whole day here having a great time but theres no space to freshen up, wash up or go to the bathroom. Looks like its not being maintained and its sad to think it might just become a distant memory.OH AND YES ITS A LAKE BUT DEF NOT A LAKE TO COOL OF IN! DONT EXPECT TO PLAY ANY SWIM ITS NOT THAT TYPE OF LAKE.

2021-10-03It could be a lot nicer. Town lets the park fall to waste and the local parents allow their teens to smash the Byron Lake pool house. Climbing up on the roof to smash the roof or the Windows. These parents in Oakdale have zero control over their kids.

2021-03-25Great area for family outings or even if you just want to take a walk or a jog. Great bridge and gazebo with a pond where the kids can feed the ducks and geese, picnic tables and playground for kids as well as a community pool

2018-07-20The park it self is great. But the amount of litter is depressing and disgusting. I do not blame the staff as much as I blame the people who visit and leave it a mess. Confetti from the fourth of July was still all over the place and their were plastic utensils and containers all over the picnic area. I wish people would take better care of such a cute park.

2018-06-20Took swimming lessons at the pool as a kid, was always so much fun! My family has also had many reunions and large picnics/parties in the park and it is always a good time! Great place to bring the kids and family

2020-08-23Was a member when I was a kid, had to take a shower first before entering the pool and had to wear a shower cap. I loved seeing the ducks and turtles in the pond area of the park. We had a Country house at W.O.R.C. on Montawlk hwy next to LaSalle Military Academy in the 1960s into the 1980s. So nice to see the park and pool is still there. Cherish it!

2021-04-20Nice day outdoors with the kids. Bike riding, playground and picnicking. Met some new friends including a turtle and lots of ducks.
