Cachapas y Mas in other cities:
Terrible services!!! I have made over 20 orders alone in just delivery without counting the numerous of time I have gone to shop at this store. Im unable to get out my house and called at 9:28pm to place order, I waited 1 hour and never got my order delivered. I called back to the store and they claimed the guy came to the building and that the number I gave was wrong. I have place over 20 orders all my information is on their system and was verified when I first called to place my order. I would of accept their mistake when admitting but to lie and say that my information it has always being wrong in their system when I clearly told them my in for and phone number which they verified with address and name. You lost a value customer that was supporting your local business!! You are very unprofessional and careless about service!!! In hard time like this it will never take you guys far nor near success
Dangerous, being so close to the train for my commute home. Definitely my go-to when Ive had a long day and dont feel up to cooking- I pick up an arepa (or two) on the way home. Savory, rich flavors that leave you satisfied. If Ive got a sweet tooth, the Chicha drink is sooo delicious!!
I’m telling you, I literally get the steak Tachucho all the time because it’s soooooo good!!! This is it without the burrito but I’m almost finished because it was so delicious. They do not cheap out on the steak like most places. I wanted to review this place because my roommates and I order from there all the time. Never an issue, and they stay open late. If you want a good meal, Cachapas is the place!! Highly recommend!!! 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Terrible costumer service!I used to come to this place twice a month but today I couldn’t have dinner because the lady on the cashier seemed extremely stressed out from the very beginning, very disrespectful and it looks like she hates her job, is not what she says is the way she speaks. Such a red flag in NYC where costumer service is key, and I won’t spend my money and time to feel uncomfortable. What a shame!
My partner and I ordered food from here to pickup after a long day of work because we usually eat from them, but were upset and ultimately disappointed by what they gave us tonight. What should have been a fresh and crispy pepito and toasty cachapa, ended up being nothing but a soggy and dripping mess of a pepito and a cold and wet cachapa. This all wouldnt have been so bad if it werent for the fact that my partner explicitly asked them to ensure there wasnt alot of juice added to the meat or the bread when they called to order, TWICE. Will have to reconsider ever trying to get a good meal from them again.
I ordered food from them, the tequeyoyo was great but chicken avocado arepa is not like in the pictures AT ALL. It had like half of the chicken than the one showed on the pictures and the avocado was literally almost invisible: I saw two green stains the size of an oat on it. Also, even thought they use the smallest sauce containers on the market they send them to me HALF FULL!!! there was like 1ml of each salsa! If you’re out of the ingredients or something at least call to let the customer know! Not happy with the order at all: if instead of ordering delivery I was in the store I would have asked for my money back.
It’s a low quality experience because there is no consistency. In the last year I’ve had at least 7 wrong orders or ingredients missing from my sandwich. I’ll pay $$$ extra and it won’t even be in the bag or on the sandwich.I go back to correct and the kitchen crew is always screwing around and doesn’t care. The cashier girls are so nice and sweet, and it’s really not fair to them.
Fantastic food and service. Food service is quick, great value, and some of the tastiest arepas and empanadas Ive had. All the ingredients were balanced and flavorful. The arepas were juicy, with the cheese, sauce, corn dough, lettuce, and tomatoes all tastefully coming through. The empanadas had a pleasant, fried chew to it. I would have been happy with the fried shell, and both the beef and cheese fillings added more flavors and textures. This was definitely much higher quality than I was expecting at this price point.
Cachapas are huge and portion of meat is great! The arepas were very delicious and flavorful. The staff is welcoming and catering. The space was clean and safety measures were evident. The place could be warmer for dine in experience. The passion fruit natural juice was good too!
ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! CACHAPAS AND YO-YO SANDWICH ARE A MUST! PLEASE HURRY AND GO! TASTES GOOD EVEN AFTER HOURS OF SITTING IN YOUR CAR 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I got the two meat for double protein for pre and post workout (1 each obviously 🙄). Great, accommodating staff and quick, fresh preparation! Yes
Excellent food, but last time I ordered was a mess, they took my order on the phone then called me back like 10 mits later cancelling the order because they trying a new system that don’t recognize my address( that i have been using all time when ordering) the lady at the phone told me to go online and order because the ipad will recognize my address if is online. I went online make the order, 20mits later I received a message saying that my food was ready, waited like 50 mits for my food and decided to call, them the lady in the phone told me the company they using for the delivery cancelled the order because is outside the distance they cover, the the funny part is that i never get any message saying that the online order was cancelled. CACHAPAS Y MAS THIS IS REALLY DISAPPOINTING. Lets see if i get the refund during the next couple days.
Always a special treat! Lunch, Dinner, and late night runs, Cachapas y mas is whats your wanna go! Hell, even for a late breakfast 🤷🏾♀️ ...I usually go to the one in the Bronx, but now that I live in Queens Im much closer to this location, and I feel at home. El tacucho de pollo mechado (shredded chicken Venezuelan burrito) es MAGNIFICO! Thats my usual, and Ill pair with some finger foods and a delicious passion fruit punch. The service is always great, and the food is out of this world. Glad theyre nearby!
Soooooo yummy! This was my first time trying this style cuisine. I got the roast pork patacon and it was DAAAAAAANKI love plantains and this sandwich has 2 plantain patties as the bread. My only thing was it wasnt spicy enough for me so I added maaaaad hot sauce when I got home.I cant wait to try the rest of the menu. Is it bad that I seriously want to eat there again tomorrow?
Super nice people here serving really delicious food. This is one of the few chains I can truly get behind. Highly recommend the Yo-Yo, but everything is great. Only bad thing is that it takes a while for them to get your food ready. Every once in a while this wait is worth it.
Ordered Patacon with shredded chicken with mozzarella cheese great size portion it was ok I ended up taking the cheese out. Tried the corn chicken empanada it was ok I didn’t eat it. I really liked the ground beef pastelito. I really wanted to try this place overall it was ok but it’s not something I’ll order again I’ll snack on a pastelito if I’m around the area.
Food is delicious. However the girl who picks the phone up is horrible. I asked for one of their drinks and she was like no we dont have it. Ok....well do you have any other drinks? Then I asked for the plantain sandwich...she gave me attitude like what am I talking about...ughhhI love going there but dread speaking to the incompetent girl on the phone.
The worst venezuelan food that I have tried in NY. I asked the patacon with additional cheese, the cheese was not in there, not flavor, The tequeños dough was hard, the cachapa was hard as well. I drove 30 minutes to get there. I wouldnt eat from there again even if it was 1 minute walking distance and obviously I dont recommend this place
Food is good, service is fast and friendly. Prices could be better, though. Overall, I am satisfied with this place.* Edit: I have liked all cashiers over the years, they have been nice, but there is a young male employee who needs better customer skills. I have dealt with him 3 times already, and have done the same thing. I give him the money in his hand, but he puts my change on the counter, even though I have had my hand in the air in front of him, feels awkward. I understand some customer are not easy, and they are rude, don’t like to be touched, but you as a cashier can tell that I am not like that. Also, there are ways to give change to a person without making any physical contact. One of the 3 times, there were not even coins in my change, just a dollar, and he still put on the counter, did not give it to me in my hand. On another ocassion, another employee took my order, then he came to take orders, while I was waiting, I noticed that he gave change to a woman in her hand. I will not take stars off because of that, but if the owner or a manager reads this, be aware of that. I wanted to buy some food there late night, but I noticed that he was there as a cashier, so I skipped the place, maybe I am not the only one who thiks/acts like that.
Cozy spot close to the train. We had the cachapas with three meats, and the patacones with Venezuelan cheese which were both very good, as well as beef and chicken empanadas. Beef was delicious, the chicken was good but dry, so the extra sauce available in bottles at our table was appreciated! Service was great, wait time not bad, portions for the price are fantastic. Well be back!
Their cachapas are so INCREDIBLE I cannot over exaggerate it. Delivery in the midafternoon also arrived around 15 minutes early, which is always great when it happens. My parents have also dined in person and adored everything. Will definitely be ordering again and hopefully dining in person soon!
Its awesome here! The food is delicious , the prices are fair, very filling. The establishment is very beautiful and even has windows you can open up so you get a outdoorsy vibe .Yari and Dani and Elvis are all awesome and make coming here a delight! I always look foward to my next visit.
Ok. So i have to say. This its NOT a Venezuelan food. But my 3 stars are because the food on self its not bad. Have pretty good seasoning. But if a costumer asking for pepito ensebollado and the costumer services say we not do this thinks you definitely not are Venezolano el venezolano se conoce por ser atento y servicial.... And u guys not have even close about the concept. If i have to recommended this place? I have to say, sorry but this its un insulto a mi cultura y pais... ByePd: el pepito no se prepara con carne mechada ni pollo mechado y mucho menos con pan frances... Y las cachapas no llevan NI LECHUGA NI TOMATE.
Delicious cachapas served very late on weekends. A few bars in the area let you bring your own food in, and this is a great option. Pernil and chorizo are my favorite cachapas, but the pork tacucho and the shredded chicken patacon are great too. Small and casual dining area if you arent taking it to go.
I tried this place only onces when I was drunk one night in Brooklyn and they were only a truck, I LOVED IT. 3 YEARS LATER I just came to one of the locations and ordered a lot...and I loved ot again! They are soooo tasty! You guys should open a place in NJ in Bergenline ave. Xoxo
Wonderful place to go for variety when you want spanish food but something different. Cachapas are for people with a sweet tooth. Their shining dishes are their Yoyos, Patacons, Cheese sticks, and the beef empanada OMG so delicious. A corn based crust if you think you know empanadas then you must try this and see there is so much more to experience.
For YEARS, family and friends travel to the first store in Washington Heights religiously, after being out all night. And now its even closer!Absolutely try the tequeños (fried cheese rolls!) while waiting for your order to be prepared. Cachapas are an all around favorite in my circle, and a very close second is the Patacón (like a burger but btwn 2 pieces of fried plantain).Just a bit smaller than the first store but the ambiance is much quieter and modern. Love that they kept the wood decor. The price could be better but its definitely worth it!
The service used to be really good, but I called yesterday the lady who answered the phone was so unprofessional and when I got home that I open my take out food it was not cooked the flour of my cachapa was all white and raw. So disappointed I used to love cachapa y más

2021-08-08Cachapas y más is located in 678 Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood, Brooklyn, NY. They’re casual Venezuelan kitchen offering classic street food such as corn pancakes & plantain sandwiches. We were six and the delivery was timely and the food arrived hot. We had an excellent experience ordering from this restaurant.

2021-09-01My friends who moved to Bushwick recently shared if we would like to try the best sandwiches in the neighborhood, Cachapas y Mas is a must. They serve 7-8 styles of Venezuelan sandwiches with various ingredients. We ordered one of each and 2 bags of finger food, Tequeyoyo & Cheese Pastelito to share with a group of 8 people. The portion was more than enough with super reasonable price. The food was an amazing hit and our favorites were Cachapas, which was made by corn pancake & Patacon, which was wrapped with double-fried plantain. Both cheesy snack was also really delicious and satisfying.

2021-10-27The service was good but unfortunately the cachapa was very disappointing. Ive had a lot of them and this was by far the most meh one, bland, too little cheese and you dont even get that nata cream that any self-respecting Venezuelan restaurant would provide.

2022-01-01We ordered a venezuelan cheese cachapa and got a cachapa with very little cheese and with lettuce, tomatoes and sauces. Cachapas SHOULD NOT HAVE LETTUCE, TOMATOES OR SAUCES. There should be a note somewhere saying that you add them as a default. It was very disappointing to eat this cachapa which also didn’t have enough venezuelan cheese for a 5$ extra. It is definitely overpriced.Besides that the reina pepiada was very good.

2021-12-11I bought a Cachapa Full (3 kinds of shredded meat). I absolutely, loved it! Cachapa, being a sweet corn pancake gave it wonderful sweet and savory taste and with the sauces it came with, pink and spicy, it made a perfect unison of flavor.

2022-07-09Got sick.Restaurants deal in perishables. I know its expensive to run a good kitchen, but temperature, freshness, and hygienic maintenance cannot be compromised.

2019-02-24Delicious food! Customer service was stupendous and it’s a very nice cozy place.I had the Cachapa with shredded beef and queso venezolano. I also had the Arepa with shredded beef and everything inside( cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sauce). The only thing I found strange is how the Arepas are done. They consisted of 2 patties but, in other places it’s usually one large patty stuffed. The passion fruit juice was delicious! And I hated the 3 leches cake, it was VERY dry! Nonetheless, will definitely be back.
