Breakfast sandwiches & ice mochas are so good!!! the only place for good coffee in cohoes and I wish it was open every day
Always happy with Cafe Con Mel. My go to coffee is a Midnight with whole milk (try it, you won’t regret it!). The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, as well as their rice bowls and empanadas ! Haven’t tried the entire menu yet, but at some point I definitely will !

Had lunch here with my parents, and it was great! The staff were very friendly and the wait time was reasonable for a 3-person order. I had the Spanish Fries and an iced ginger black tea, and it was delicious! I would love to eat here again if Im ever in town.

I love cafe con Mel! The interior is awesome, lots of goodies to shop around while you wait for your order. I love their coffee flights and swings. Good coffee and good food in an awesome environment, couldn’t ask for more.
We had an amazing birthday party at Cafe Con Mel. They were amazingly generous and helpful with the planning. The food and beverages were incredible. You guys are doing a great job!! Keep up the good work, we will be back!!
Food is great - operation needs some work.I brought a group of guys to bye-i brewery for a reunion and we ordered food at the bar. The food was delivered from a nice young man who handed us the bag. We gave him a $10 tip as a thank you for delivering us the food. He said thank you and went on his way.There was no verbal communication from the bartenders or the delivery man that the bill was not settled. We spent 3 more hours at the brewery and no one from the restaurant came to inquire about the bill.I only knew of the issue when the cops showed up at my door asking me to settle up and the unpleasant voicemail I got from the owner the next day accusing me of “walking out on a check.”When I am looking for food I always choose small businesses first - especially in Cohoes. But when things like this happen it doesn’t leave a good taste in my mouth.
Amazing food and superb coffee and teas. Great place to sit and complete work. If you have not gone it is a must. The staff and owners are amazing. The atmosphere is a 10/10.
Super cozy and quiet cafe that was super nice and knowledgeable of my diet restrictions! I even learned a new fact!An absolute diamond in the rough this place is! Plus it has swing seating 💯💘
Everything on the menu sounded amazing but was suggested the Café Con Leche. Did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. If youre looking for authentic coffee with a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend you check out Café Con Mel.
Fun atmosphere and delicious food. Authentic menu and they have some cute items for sale too. Not much seating but Im not sure if that is a COVID thing. Overall, a great addition to Cohoes!

Always consistent always delicious and always well priced.
I havent tried everything here, but there are many things that are spot on:1. Empanadas - authentic and tasty2. Coffee and espresso drinks3. Breakfast sandwiches - you may have to wait a little longer than you would at a fast food spot, but these sandwiches are made to order and good sized portionsOverall, great quality and nice seeing more good eats in Cohoes.
Great food. We had breakfast, fruit, and pasties. Everything was fresh and hand made from scratch. Service was personal and friendly.

Nice little place, well decorated. I would like some more seating for it to be more of a work cafe but I guess thats up to the owners/covid revamping.
They have strong, tasty iced coffee and a chai latte that’s different but not overwhelming with spice.

2022-08-20Very cute and unique space, warm and welcoming owners. This is a small new business with real good espresso, so if you are an espresso fanatic you will appreciate the level of detail and love they give their drinks here.

We love grabbing brunch here and then making our way down Remsen street to visit the antique store, plant shop and Cohoes Downtown Marketplace.My husband always gets the Adrian and a Jon. I usually get a Sienna with double coconut milk or a chai latte, sweet and a Benny. The mochi waffles are also great, the ube flavor doesnt even need syrup imo.

2022-07-22This is a lovely place. The food is exquisite and the coffee is wonderful. I highly recommend this cafeteria. I don’t feel anybody would be disappointed because there is nothing here to be disappointed about. I jus became a loyal customer.

2021-06-23Got an Adrian latte and a super tasty and fresh breakfast sandwich. Really appreciated their suggestion to only do one shot of espresso when I asked how to make the latte a little less caffeinated. Would definitely like to come back on a day when they have baked goods to go with the drinks!

2022-06-26Sandwich was a decent quality, but plantains are a hard starch to get right, and there were just too oily to be enjoyable. My iced Americano had all the tellings of iced coffee that was just yesterdays cold brew. Im starting to wonder if I need to avoid places that stock coffee ice cubes...

2022-06-07This place is so cute. I sat at the little swing set they have next to the window. I was able to try the Ube waffle the Ben and the johnny I think it was called. And it was all delicious. The coffee was so good that I got a second one to go.

2021-06-06Everything we had was so delicious that at one point, we dove right in and forgot to take pictures. Staff is friendly, and our server was wonderful! We got an iced coffee flight, herbal tea, ube cinnamon roll, ube waffle and buttermilk fried chicken breast that was so juicy and tender, and Mulan rice bowl, which was so flavorful and unique! Thinking of making this a regular Sunday.

2022-07-09While biking the canal, we ended up in Cohoes hungry, under-caffeinated, and in dire need of a break. Cafe con Mel provided amazing empanadas(my personal favorite was the jack fruit one, but all of them were amazing) and a fantastic Takuma Avocado toast. Not only that, but the Julien coffee with coffee ice cubes was *sublime*, and the Cianna was also incredible(and refreshing!). You literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and everyone was incredibly friendly!!
