I wanted to edit my original review because I saw Liz Nap’s review about a young man who works here. My original review stands and the food is still great months later! As far as Liz goes, she should be embarrassed by her comments and we will continue to support Mike and Cafe Europa as they are amazing! Shame on you Liz!My original review:By far, the best pizza place Ive been too! The owner and all of his staff are unbelievably nice & accommodating. Weve used them to cater on several occasions and their dinner/catering menu is just as amazing as their specialty pies! Their specials every week are phenomenal! They have such variety that, even though Im the type to go someone for a week straight and then never go again, Ive been consistently ordering take out or dining in for the better part of a year and a half! Props to Mike for running such an outstanding establishment!
Everyone greets you when you first come in.they are all attentive & friendly.as soon as they make eye contact they take your order.the Place is clean and well lite. Because of covid19 there are interesting mannacquen sitting down.but best if all the pizza is out of this world.best in long island.go there everyday.

I went to this establishment for the very first time today. The owner was an absolute doll!!! He wiped down their outdoor table (as he does after every customer use during the covid19 situation) and showed genuine concern for our health and well-being. The food was amazing!!! I found my new pizzeria!!! God Bless the owners and establishment and please support our local businesses and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!!
I ordered through Grubhub originally the food came fast and it was delicious. I ordered from them again today straight to the restaurant. I’m very satisfied the food was hot fresh and delicious. Those chicken parm meatball were really good. This will definitely be my go to pizza place. The service is fast and the people are polite. Thanks Cafe Europa!
Due to COVID we had to cancel our wedding and decided to plan a backyard wedding within 4 months. My husband grew up in west islip so naturally the first person he called for catering was Mike the owner of Cafe Europa ! When I spoke to mike he was very reassuring that everything was going to be perfect and that they had our backs with anything we needed. He has an answer for everything ! I already had a tent rental place but Mike assured us that if we didn’t have enough tables or chairs or lights that he could get it for us. We bought our utensils and Mike told us that the night we could drop them and our table napkins off and he and his team would roll them for us for a more elegant look. Now the food. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Every time I greeted a family member or friend they would ask me who catered. The chicken parm was perfectly cooked you didn’t need a knife to cut it, my fork just glided threw it like butter. Listen I could keep going on but you get my point. Use Cafe Europa for any of your special event and you will not be disappointed! I can’t thank them enough.

I love their pizza because it’s doughy and not thin or burned. Their garlic knots are made to perfection! They have the best pizza in West Islip, hands down!
When moving to West Islip 3 years ago we must have sampled every local pizzeria and were never thrilled with what we had.... that is until we tried Cafe Europa, on the recommendation of a neighbor. Everything we order is always delicious and fresh. Not only are they our go to for pizza and dinners, but we use them for all our catering needs as well. The owner has taken time to discuss menu options and customize the menu to our needs. The party heroes are amazing as well. The staff is friendly and always remember their customers making it the perfect local pizzeria. And on top of all that they always support local schools, organizations and clubs.
Ive finally determined that this place has the best pizza in West Islip. Ive compared it to Our Little Italy (2nd best in my opinion), Crispinos (3rd best in my opinion) and Monalisas (worst in town in my opinion). Each differ and excel in their own ways but where they all fail in consistency and quality. This is where Cafe Europa is a step above the rest.I rate pizza based upon a regular cheese slice, a Sicilian slice and specialty slices. Their regular cheese slice is not too greasy at all. It always crispy on the bottom. Its is not overbearing with cheese and not too oily. There is just the right amount of crust where youre not eating a bread stick but not too little where youre wondering if they just forgot to put a crust. The sauce is nicely flavored. Its not a sweet sauce, it has a smooth consistency, and very flavorful.The Sicilian Slice is also very good. Crispy bottom, fluffy and doughy center topped with a good balance of cheese and sauce. The crispness is that of a grilled cheese underside which makes their Sicilian slice stand out in my opinion.Their specialty slices are very good for the most part. I tried a buffalo slice, a taco slice and a burrata slice. The buffalo slice was mostly good. They have a great flavor to it and the slice itself has good structure as in it doesnt flop. It hold up in your hand and remains crispy. The chicken was dry in my opinion though.The taco slice was excellent. Usually, taco meat gets very greasy when you cook with it but they manage to keep that under control. hey put those nice southwest salad chips on there for the crunch and have a sort of mild sauce that fills out the flavor with the ground beef. It holds up nicely in your hand as well.Their best slice, in my opinion, is their burrata slice. It takes he structure of their Sicilian slice but they put that fantastic blob of burrata on it and smother the slice in vodka sauce. This slice is jam packed with flavor! This is a must have slice!Go there on a Friday for some free sangria. Great for starting your weekend off before going out to bars.Finally, the staff are always very nice. NY is NY and that means fast, fast, fast, always on the go, gotta get it now. I appreciate that they have always taken their time to simply say hi, actually smile not just because they have to smile, have a little conversation. Theyre not just looking to grab your money and forget you. For once, its actually a nice place to go with people that care.Hope this review helped you!

My family has been going to Cafe Europa for a very long time and their food is the best. I wouldLike to thank them from the bottom ofMy heart for giving my son with Autism the opportunity to work in his community. Mike did not hesitate when we asked for this opportunity. Every community need a business like Cafe Europa. The staff is courteous and professional and we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.
Awesome food awesome staff. Truly a great place to get high quality italian food for a great price. If you want the best pizza in town this is your place to go. If you want grandmas old school italian cooking this is the place to go. Dont forget to ask them for their outrageous specials on Friday night. You cannot go wrong with the BEST.

I wanted to let you know that Mike & his entire staff at Cafe Europa have always be courteous to my family. They have always been loving , caring and compassionate to our community. The food is delicious and warm just right every single time.The homemade Cannolis are out of this world. The 1st day I met Mike, he greeted me the same he greets everyone, everyday and thats with a big smile. He introduced himself and asked for my name. We have nothing but up most respect for him & his staff!! I would say stop by and experience what my family calls the best pizzeria in town!

Traveled to the island to visit family last weekend and ive been talking up how awesome this place was 12 years ago to my wife when I frequented the salad slices and pizza. My absolute favorite was the provolone pie....I was embarrased when I brought my order home. The pizza was decent, but the kitchen order was a disaster.The bad:The meatballs had large chunks of onions in them and were not very juicy.The pasta with creamy pesto was a little oily and the linguini was way over cooked and tasted as though the water was unsalted. Unedible.The stratchatella soup looked like a snowglobe of parmesan and was watered down.The decent:The salad slice was crisp and fresh, and delish, BUT... it wasnt a slice, rather a huge salad dumped on a crust.... I remember it being enough of a slice to eat it like one, and did not expect to use a knife and fork to find the crust. I could of just ordered a large salad, with a side of crust.The good:The white pizza slice was thick and satisfying, not to oily and not too much garlic.Im not the one to write off a place just for one bad experience, and most likely will be back. I will however be hesitant to order from the kitchen and stick to pizza. I dropped 40 bucks that day after driving 5 hours and wont be disapointed like that again.
I have tried many different dishes at this restaurant , and have never been let down . Whether it was the salad with steak , the pasta , the pizza , or any of the specials that you might find unique to a pizzeria , there is a dish for everyone . Mike the owner , Chef Mike , and the rest of the staff go out of there way for me whenever I go there , including opening their kitchen two minutes before closing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food, and great service

Ordinarily, a new place Ive never been before with good food and good service will get a solid 4-stars from me on a first visit. But the new Cafe Europa on Gillham Road is leap-frogging to five stars because I have been a huge fan of the Crestwood location for a really long time and this is owned by the same people, has a similar menu and the same friendly, great service of the original.Hubby, Sis and I met there for lunch today. It was, in some ways, like coming home again because they have a bakery case inside the front entrance with lots of tempting goodies. There were a couple of familiar faces from the Brookside location there to greet us. But in other ways, it was a totally different look. Lots of bright, natural light floods the space and contemporary, streamlined seating options, including a couple of beautiful blue upholstered banquette benches hugging two of the walls give an open, spacious feel to the dining areas.
I’ve been coming here for 4 years and the staff is the best they treat you like family and the food is excellent. Great pizza and dishes on Long Island!
Came from the Bronx for a client in Long Island stopped at Cafe Europa For a quick slice ... one of the beat slices of pizza I ever had and I am a huge fan and critic of pizza very rare for me , after my job was done went back to pick up a few more ...wish they delivered to Bronx 🙏 also the staff is very friendly and courteous

Pizza is so so. Saw the pizza guy treat a customer in a very nasty way. He basically threw her out because he didnt like what she said. Rude! I dont like that. Wont be going back. There are plenty of pizza in the area. The guy was really out of line. I felt bad for that lady. She just kept saying that its expensive to live on Long Island and he told her to.get a seconf job. She said she did. that he didnt want her business. He told her not to let the door hit her on the way out!! Who does that ? The guy is nuts and the pizza isnt that great. Crazy.
This is the first time in long island that I experienced the best Italian food here in, me and my wife ordered the penne ala vodka and the penne fry diavolo and it was absolutely amazing seafood was so fresh and the margherita piazza was good!!!...definitely come back!!...100% recommended!!!! Good job guys!!😉
I come to this place all the time (Over another pizza place a couple blocks down). Everything that Ive gotten from there is great and the customer service is wonderful! It would be a shame not to try it out.
They were rude and dismissive.what happened to customer service? They hung up on me twice as I was placing my order. No apologies just hearing a dial tone on the other end. I can spend my money anywhere it won’t be there any longer.
I absolutely love the Gia salad. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Place is always clean. Of course the pizza is awesome as well.
Ordered south west chicken salad, The cheese in the salad smelled very bad, also the chicken was very dry I choose to ignore it. Thinking it was nothing, later on that day i had horrible stomach pains and the runs. I dont think i will be returning

I usually dont go to Cafe Europa as another place is closer. However, in light of news of the owner hiring a beautiful teenager that faces many challenges in his life and giving him a chance, thereby standing up for ALL challenged children, Cafe Europa, your my new pizza place, and I hope this boy who loves to laugh is there tomorrow night. Walking into Cafe Europa is like showing up at a close friends home. All the staff greet you as you walk in (and offer up a friendly have a good day...night, etc.) as you leave. The feeling is that they welcome your arrival and are glad to see you, which is so often missing today in so many places. Its an environment which makes me want to return again and again and to suggest to my friends that they do the same. This is also a place well-known throughout the West Islip community to be a welcome part of our community. My daughters favorite is the cheese calzone, but lets not forget Friday night Sangria which is a savior for all of us as we move through the end of our work week and into the weekend. So happy to have Cafe Europa nearby.

2022-08-14Pizza is amazing but don’t even try going through slice when ordering. They need to not try and force you to use the app. They closed before my order came. Even spoke to them on the phone because the app wouldn’t let me fix my order, so they clearly had my order. It said out for delivery yet nothing. Had to cook my own dinner at 9:30 after waiting on an order just to find out it was never coming. I can’t fully blame them as it is also slices fault but completely unbelievable.

2022-07-16I love this place I have dined in and had take out for years and it never disappointed. There food has always been always fresh, on point absolutely fulfilling with amazing creativity. Not too mention they treat there customers like family very warm environment. Recently had to move due to my job and my family and i still crave there food. There calzone pizza and muscles garganzola is absolutely amazing.

2022-05-26Update:Still amazing! Been going here for years and Im very picky pizza person.Favorite place for pizza! I literally drive almost 10 minutes to get their pizza, this place is the best around. Specialty slices are amazing! Vodka is my favorite and I also Indulged in the Mac and cheese slice, which I can tell you anyone would eat this and it offers something different for kids as well! Garlic knots are delicious! The staff is very friendly and place is clean. Highly recommend

2021-12-09Cafe Europa has delicious pizza, but it’s the warm and friendly service that keeps everyone coming back. Mike, Joe, AJ, and the entire crew do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcomed. Stellar customer service with a neighborhood feel. Be sure to try their their Sicilian slice and The Brooklyn slice. Everything here is delicious.

2021-10-27They charged me $9.88 for 2 slices, almost $ 5 dollars a regular slice ...way to expensive, and to top it off not welcoming at all. I should have complained and questioned but my kids were hungry.Other reviews say Everyone greets you when you first come but I must had visited the wrong day.

The delivery driver got lost, called me, was incredibly rude, then cancelled my order without notice.Would NEVER try this place again if you paid me.**Edit**In response to your laughable retort, I dont need or want your terrible food (as countless other reviews have stated. I feel fortunate I didnt have to suffer through it. ), and your driver is making up a story to cover for his own foul attitude.I would never treat anyone in the service industry so poorly, and instead of getting defensive on his behalf, perhaps next time you should get the facts straight. Regardless, Ill make sure to spread how little you value customer service.

2019-10-14Cafe Europa, simply put, is excellent! Picked up another order last night and the sicilian pizza, cold antipasto salad with shrimp and chicken rolls were delicious. Their selection of pizza is astounding. Try the BBQ chicken pizza, you wont be disappointed. Placing an order online for delivery or pickup is extremely easy.I would be remiss if I didnt mention the staff. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Love this place!
