My husband just picked up these AMAZING cupcakes! So delicious and fresh. Can’t beat local!
Wonderfully delicious and fresh! Ordered chocolate cake with chocolate filling with whipped cream topping with cherries. Cake was a hit with my family who are super picky about their cakes! So much better than store bought. Well worth the little extra cost for ur special events or just because u want to treat yourself. You will be very happy you did!
Absolutely fantastic! The food and service are super. I’ve had a few things from here but if you’re looking for an amazing chai latte (hot), I highly recommend it 😜
Small and full of tasty treats I wanted to try. A very nice gentleman treated me to a lovely red velvet cupcake of which I am very thankful and enjoyed. I will be going back to try out something else.
We are so fortunate that this cozy little bakery is right in our town, BUT Calculated Confections is worth the drive even if you are not local! The owner is so kind and can literally make anything that you request! Her cakes are the most perfect blend of icing and cake and very moist. Her croissants are beyond tasty and perfectly flaky. She is so accommodating when helping with events, too! I wish that I could give her more stars!!!
I called from out of town to order two days in advance from out of town for a Gluten Free, Dairy free cake for my fiancé and his twin sister’s birthday. They were very friendly and offered me a list of options they had for this particular request. They picked up the cake and LOVED it. They raved about how moist and flavorful the desert was even though it was gluten free, which can sometimes be very try. I cannot recommend them enough!
Super nice mom and pop coffee shop with sweet treats. The coffee is awesome! No more expensive than Dunkin donuts which is down the block, but way more personable. Support your local shops
They did my wedding cake and it was delicious and moist and exactly what I hoped for. Another place wasnt able to fulfill our order so they did it even on shorter notice and during a holiday season so Im very grateful for them. Also everyone is very nice and friendly.

The red velvet cake was the most delicious Ive tasted in a long time. The owner gave us great ideas for our theme. And the macaroons were a big hit. Im so glad we discovered this place. Do give it a try. Pleasant ambience and very pleasant people too.
Exceptional Experience!SUPER helpful over the phone with ordering, Im not very experienced in throwing parties so I had some questions about ordering the cake, all my questions were gladly answered. I was even more impressed with their willingness to customize my order. When I picked up the cake the ladies in there were friendly! And once I opened the box at the party everyone said how nice it looked but once my guests took a bite everyone wanted to know where I got the cake because it was THAT GOOD! I will definitely be ordering from here in the future 😁👌

I ordered a custom made 6 layered chocolate cake with cream and the owner was super helpful from the first email we exchanged. The cake was so good and very light because a lot of layered chocolate cakes can be heavy. I will definitely be going back.

So excited to finally have a bakery in Walden! Its so cute inside with plenty of seating. The mini cupcakes made it easy to try multiple flavors (cannoli and red velvet for the win!) and the scones and croissants are the perfect treats to enjoy with your coffee!
Love this place the owner and her father are the sweetest people ! Very pleasant atmosphere , everything is wonderful ! I absolutely love their tiramisu !! The best I have ever had!! My kids love figuring out the math problems on the wall for a free cookie! Their cupcakes, cannoli’s and brownies are fantastic too! Walden needed a bakery and this place is perfect!!
I would highly recommend this bakery! The owner was extremely helpful. She went out of her way to help create exactly what I had in mind. I got an oreo cake and it was so moist!! Definitely getting my next cake there again!

We had our first experiences with this bakery last week and again this week! Cupcakes, vanilla/strawberry cake, and a chocolate cake. Delicious, moist, amazing....all words used to describe the yumminess! We will be back!!!
After calling multiple places to ask about making a Boston Kreme Pie for my coworker, Calculated Confections came to our rescue. What an amazing and accommodating business. I highly recommend, not to mention, the pies are delicious!

I’m miss being able to go inside, sit & enjoy a delicious cup of coffee & decide which sinful delight I want. But I want this heavenly bakery to be here when this global pandemic is over so I’m going to use theIr online ordering & convenient curbside service.There’s no place in this area like it!! Yum 😋
Tried one of each mini cupcakes and they were all delicious I especially liked the vanilla. Cookies were tasty . Liked the shortbread very much.
They seem to be new location for a business, but the pastries are out of this world being that the owner makes her butter cream from scratch.

2022-04-16So disappointed right now. Went in and got cookies and other highly priced items. As with a high end bakery you expect fresh bakery made items. Nope. They were identical to the Aldis store items. I instantly noticed when my allergies kicked in. Face got puffy and could not breathe. Went to the ER. I also called the bakery and after being told they made them when I purchased them ,,,the phonecall was different. They confirmed that they were store bought. What kind of bakery does this? Not to mention I paid 30 bucks for stuff that would have cost less than 10 at Aldis store being its the same exact thing. This is just bad business practices and I have yet to talk to a lawyer about the hospital trip and bill.

2021-09-11Update Sept 2021: they now serve Afghan food Wednesday’s 4-8, and it is delicious! Highly recommend stopping inI’ve been wanting to stop here for a while now, finally did! Small bakery with seating inside and outside. I got a red velvet cupcake - the icing was delicious, not too sweet. The cake part was a little dry, but overall was good. I loved the chocolate chip cookie! They have GF and vegan options as well, and many coffee and tea choices. I will definitely be back to try the other pastries!

2021-09-11BEST Apple Cider donuts in the Hudson Valley! In my opinion theyre better than Tantios Farm (which were my favorite for 4 years) they were last ranked #1 best apple cider donut in Hudson Valley, but Calculated Confections beats them. I hope she can enter her donuts in the next competition. They also started doing Afghan food on Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00pm and its very good! We got the chicken kabobs. Authentic as theyre from Afghanistan. Their dishes you can split with two people. And top it off with some delicious cheesecake!

2022-07-16Most people are very excited for their cake tasting, but if you are going to Calculated Confections for your wedding cake, you should be over the moon! Khadijais a very kind and talented baker, and her cake was PHENOMENAL. We had the option of chocolate or vanilla cake with an assortment of different icings and fillings. All the different combinations were delicious. It took us so long to decide but were over the moon with our final product. One of the things I was most looking forward to at my wedding was being able to eat some more cake! Khadija was available for questions all along the way with quick responses. Come wedding day we were over the moon because it was just as delicious as we remembered, and she decorated the cake beautifully. A true pleasure to work with, I would recommend Khadija and Calculated Confections to anyone who needs a cake for any occasion!

2021-09-19Spectacular cupcakes! I ordered 18 for a party so everyone could have their favorite flavor and everyone thought I had gone somewhere far to get such delicious and beautifully wrapped cupcakes. Even the vegan guest was thrilled and said it was the best cupcake shed ever had. They were such a hit that I went back to get muffins and chocolate croissants and those are great too.

2021-10-01UPDATE:Our wedding was last month and the cake came out better than we could have imagined! It was simple, gorgeous, and most importantly so delicious! We love this bakery and recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding cake!My fiancé and I went here today for wedding cake samples, it was our first time here. The owner and her employee were so sweet, the cake samples they made us were so beautiful and delicious and we placed our order right away. We are so excited! It’s the best cake we’ve ever had!
